I don't like goodbyes
"Shady, I can't believe it." Paige kicked a pebble by her foot. "I just can't believe my first year is over." She looked at her shoes. They were worn out. And to think at the beginning of the year they were brand new. She was brand new. Sort of. To this magic thing . To quidditch, to people like her, to other werewolves.
Some say things don't go your way. That sometimes you have to change your path. When Paige was younger, she had prepared herself for a tough journey, but nothing like sh had experienced in the past years. She had been plucked from a normal life and was brought into this world. The world of magic.
Memories had been made, some good, some bad, mostly good. Many new friends. She only got in trouble once, that wasn't so bad. She met the nicest of people, and some jerks. She would miss all her friends, but at least she'll see them next year.
But there was one friend she knew she'd miss the most. Her closest fried, Henry Knight. The silly boy had met her, and they had become close friends. They loved to goof off, not to mention he was a fellow werewolf too. He was a really good friend, and even though she'd see him next year, she would miss him terribly.
She had to make sure he stayed in touch. Students were packing, but Paige had wanted to find Henry.
What if she never saw him again? Maybe he would switch schools and he forgot about her. She was over thinking it.
Maybe she had luck on her side or maybe she wanted to find him badly. She saw him by the lake with his cat, Loki. Shady spotted Loki and sprinted ahead to investigate. "HENRY!" She said, running down to him.
When she reached him, she was out of breath. She gave him a hug before letting go and looking at him. "You'll stay in touch, right?"

It was the last day of the school year. It was the last day of Henry's second year. That year felt like it went by at lightspeed but he also had created so many memories from the months of being at school.
He attended classes and earned O's. He had made the slytherin dueling team and duel three times, watching the team win the championship that year. He grew closer with past friends and met new ones. He started to find his place at Hogwarts. And also found our his father was engaged to be wed that summer holiday and his twin had ran away a few months back to.
Good was mixed into the bad. And the memories of the good would outlive the bad.
Henry found a spot by the great lake, under a tree to watch the ripping water one last time before he would leave for the summer. Henry took a deep breath and felt at peace, smiling toward his orange feline; Loki who say besides him.
It was peaceful. It was a perfect day.
However it would get better when he heard his name from a familiar voice and Loki got up and ran the few steps to greet another feline by the name of Shady. Loki rubbed his head aginest him and was clearly happy to see the feline.
Henry stood from his spot and turned to find Paige Grant. A close friend who was extroverted and a goofball always ready for a new adventure. Also a werewolf. Same as him.
Henry embraced her hug as he replied"Paige!" with a small grin since he matched the greeting or try to match the greeting that she gave him. After they let go, Henry heard her words and smiled with a nod as he spoke" of course, I'll write everyday if you want."

Glad that her bear hug was embraced with open arms, she smiled as she let go and pushed some curls from her face. "Oh, good! Though, I'm not sure how my parents will react if they get another single owl in the house. Apparently they make a huge mess. She said, her signature grin still on her happy face. She looked down, startled a bit at something brushing against her leg. She had momentarily forgotten Henry had a cat, and Shady never runs her back on Paige's leg. "Ah- Oh! Uh.. Loki.. was it? Like the Marvel character!" She said , bending down to rub behind the cat's ear.
Then she remembered something, and felt silly. "Oh-wait- duh.. you wouldn't have seen Marvel. So... Loki... the God in general? Is that where you got the name? She asked, wanting to spend as much time Sith Henry as possible before their only communication method will be owls. That would seriously stink, because Paige wasn't exactly Shakespeare with writing. Her writing was not creative, and her hand writing not exactly beautiful. Her reading wasn't good either, but she sure did try. "I can't believe I wont see you until next year." She said, pouting a bit before get to g back up and brushing her hands off together.
"So, any plans for summer? I'm going to that summer camp thing. Should be fun.

Henry returned her bear hug with a tight one as they held it for a few moments before letting go. Henry smiled at Paige, glad that they met and that they were friends. Friends with more in common than others, friends that shared a experience from others that couldn't be matched. Friends that both are werewolves.
Henry smiled toward Paige's words, right she was a muggleborn so it would be natural that her families warm as accustomed to owls that Henry's family was. The young teen only smiled and waited till she would finish until he would replie"Sandy and Apollo are both well behaved, they won't make a mess but do you have a muggle phone? Maybe we can call each other instead?" It was a suggestion and Henry thought using a muggle phone could be easier for his friend and her family then dealing with a owl, since he wasn't sure what would happen if Apollo bit one of them.
Loki Loki aginest Paige's legs for a moment, more purring and gave a short meow asking to be pet. After receiving his affection, the feline turned and bound after Shady, jumping on his feline friend and playing batting at Shady's head.
Henry smiled at sight, glad that their felines were friends before turning back to Paige with a smile as he listened to Paige ask and take guesses on where he got his name from. Mentioning the muggle company Marvel before adding her next few words in.
Causing only smiles from Henry as he replied" Marvel is the muggle company, right? I seen a movie but nothing else, I got Loki from a mythology book. Loki the god of mischief is a Norse god," Henry smiled toward his friend, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. He felt at peace being there with her and the two felines.
Henry felt Paige stand and he got up to his feet as well, removing his arm from her shoulders as he listened to the girl's words. Two months. They'll be apart for two months. It was hard to imagine.
"hard to imagine I won't see you for two months," Henry replied nor fully imagining it, they could still call on the muggle phone and owl each but that wasn't the same to actually seeing each other and talking face to face.
Plans for summer holiday. The next part of their conversation. Henry should have expected he as he nodded toward Paige, having less excitment for his own as he spoke" just my fathers wedding, getting a stepmum and step siblings, and moving again. But wirte to me about the camp," Henry smiled a little then remembered something as he pulled two identical bracelets from his jean pockets out and showed them Paige.
Giving one to Paige and slipping the other onto his right wrist with the other bracelets, Henry smiled toward Paige as he spoke" I made them a few days ago, their sort of like friendship bracelets. I thought we both could have one so mentally we'll never be far apart. "
