@Elena Jangleton & @Bloom Silverton
July 1, 2021
The conversation had taken a direction that Lavinia had rarely ever gone before yet she was interested to do ‘girl talk’. Her number of friends were very little and this wasn’t exactly something that she got to do. In a way, she didn’t open herself up enough to be able to just have a normal conversation about simple things like love lives. That made it really nice though, a chance to not worry about the looming threats or past dangers. It was just holding a conversation between friends, if she could even call them that yet, maybe almost friends was a better term.

After sharing her first kiss story, Elena brought up a good point. Lavinia herself had been to very few balls, one to be exact but, from what she had heard potions were a staple. When Elena asked who she kissed, Lavinia didn’t mind letting them know. “I believe that it was Kazuo Shimada.” That question was followed by one from Bloom about how it was. It was alright but when she thought back on it, it wasn’t her. It was a potion messing with her brain and that made her have very bad opinions about it.

“Umm…wellll… it’s not really my proudest moment, it was just a cheek kiss but it wasn’t really me if you know what I mean. The potion messed with my brain and kind of took away my freedom.” It was rude and she could only be glad that it was the only bad thing that happened to her that night. At least she didn’t get injured or married. Nodding her head at Bloom’s comment, her thoughts were directed to Bloom's love life.

Bloom seemed to be a romantic and and excited for maybe a little bit of summer love. One of the names that she gave though, stuck out to Lavinia in a way she couldn’t remember. Howard White was someone who seemed familiar. Not sure from where though, Lavinia let out a little laugh while saying, “I guess we will have to report back after summer camp to share what happened.”

Unfortunately, there time might have been cut a little short. Lavinia felt the train start to slow down meaning that they had almost reached the destination. “Oh no, I think that the train ride is almost over.” she said with a frown. “Thanks for convincing me to go to camp and staying around to talk.” Lavinia added thoughtfully.

@Lavinia Cloven & @Bloom Silverton
The name Lavinia provided wasn't one that was too terribly familar to her nor were the boys that Bloom was talking about. Still, it was friendly chatter about the sort of stuff girls often discussed over and they were no stranger to this stereotype. If anything, it added a sense of normalcy to the chat without having to worry about what dark and horrible fates awaited them at summer camp, something she really hoped she wasn't wrong about pushing the thought away though it kept prickling away at her. "Yeah, that potion really did a number. I don't even remember what happened after I drank that punch." This was probably due to the fact she had fallen victim to a rather potent Forgetfulness potion that had been mixed in but before that, her memory was clear as day and given that fact that there were more eyewitness accounts of what had occured that night, it was pretty easy to put the pieces together.

She grinned a little at Bloom's comment tilting her head a bit, she would not deny the fact that were were perhaps more than just a few suitable boys in the castle that could catch someone eye's but as for Elena, her heart had already been leaning towards someone in particular rather. "Well, if you need any help in that regard, I'm up for it." The brunette said smirking slightly, she might not be an expert matchmaker or anything but the Gryffindor reckoned she could at least set the wheels in motion if things came down to it, time would tell though where each of them ended up. Despite the fact they had just met, they had already been sharing the most intricate details of their crushes and whatnot and that in Elena's opinion sounded like the foundation for hopefully a friendship that wouldn't stay restricted to this train car. Speaking of trains, the whine of the brakes was clear as the Express began to slow probably indicating their destination was near and that the platform would appear any second now.

She shared Lavinia's dissappointment with a surge of regret, they had been so involved in their converstation that the girl had lost track of time. She'd need to find Lamik soon then once the train came to a stop. "There'll be plenty of more train rides in the upcoming future." Elena said assuringly glancing out the window as the speed of the traing gradually reduced. She had enjoyed this little converstation of theirs and it was certainly more satisfying than being isolated by yourself starting out a window for hours on end. "See you guys at camp, then?" The question lingered in the air though judging from their demeanor, the Gryffindor reckoned she had nothing to worry about. If anything, she had made a few more friends and that for Elena Jangleton was a true and worthy way to close out the school year, the smile never leaving her face.
