First Year Potions
All of the mental preparation he thought he had for the first class of the day was tossed to the wind the moment the student, Asher Lundell, waltzed into the dungeons for his potions class. His shoes clicked against the stone flooring with the most satisfying taps imaginable, and continued until he'd reached one of the emptier tables in the space, head tucked down the entire way there, as to avoid awkward eye contact with the few others that were already seated. Upon his arrival at said workspace, he began laying out his supplies, starting with his Potions book, each item he sat onto the wooden surface having its very own place and neat arrangement. Once he had accounted for everything he needed for the particular lesson, he took a seat, listening to the groan of rickety oak beneath his rear and the distant whispers around the classroom. He hadn't spoken a single word, himself, and nor did he plan to, unless asked, more concerned for his learning experience than for his social life. Given that the professor wasn't due to appear for another few minutes, he busied himself with other things besides conversation -not to say he wasn't interested, he merely hadn't been addressed, and was too shy to introduce himself, much like an earlier entered male-, propping his elbow up onto the workbench and resting his chin in a pale palm. Startling blue eyes flit around the surroundings, prior to settling onto the bottles that line the shelves on the walls. He reads over them with a subtle squint, straining to see their labels, for the contents were... interesting, to say the least. And thus, he was lost in the recesses of his mind, mulling over objects that probably had no significance. This was only his first day, after all.

First Year Potions
Sofia Barbara had sneaked into the corner of the class. No one had noticed her. The other classmates where talking and laughing, but no one sat next to Sofia Barbara. She felt a hopeful feeling rushing through her, when a student walked over to he. And apparently right past her, and the feeling left quick. She began to scroll through the pages to find what they where working on. She kept looking around, hoping that someone would talk to her. But she gave up, and quit the thought about friends for a bit. She was focusing on making the potion right. She had tried to make potions of leaves and grass at home, but it's definitely not the same. Two girls were sitting and talking close to her, and she couldn't stop hearing a little of what they said. It calmed her down to hear voices near her, but they weren't talking to her though. The table she sat at was old, and her chair was even older. The room felt dusty, but not in a gross way, more in a mysterious way. She kind of liked the room. Her hair kept falling down in her face, while she was trying to focus, but she couldn't remove her bangs like the rest of the hair. The potion got right, she thinks so. Maybe people didn't like her because she was from slytherin? who knows....

First Year Potions
Harley rushed into the class and found a spare seat beside Sofia. "Hi I'm Harley, nice to meet you, what are we doing?" she asked quickly, hoping the potions teacher hadn't noticed her.
She held her hand out and looked at the cauldron in front of her. Almost mesmerized by the bubbling. "Ooooh~ What are we making?" she asked Sofia, her tone laced in unnatural curiosity. It was like she'd never even seen a cauldron before
Everything about her screamed muggle and it wasn't hard to miss. In fact even the way she fumbled about was quite obvious she knew nothing about the wizarding world; her hat lopsided, a pencil tucked neatly behind her ear, and a generic schoolbag one could find in the muggle supermarkets. Not to mention that she had her wand behind her other ear. Didn't she know it could be placed in a pocket or even in her bag.
She just looked way too clumsy to be a pure-blooded or at least half-blooded witch. Her eyes were still fixed to the cauldron, trying to figure out what was going on.
Surely by now she'd've figured out they were brewing potions in a potions class right .... surely.

First Year Potions
Olympia wandered into the Potions classroom, surveying the class for an open seat. She held her quill in her hand. She hadn't been sure if she was supposed to bring one or if they were provided, but she didn't plan on coming unprepared. Surprisingly, this was the most people she'd seen all day other than at the Sorting Ceremony.
Eventually, Olympia was able to find an open seat. Slowly, she began the walk over to the seat in the front corner, right next to the Professor's desk. That must be why it's empty, but as far as she could see, it was the only seat open. Making sure not to create a scene, she set her things down on the desk. There was a girl seated beside her, but she wasn't sure of his name.
Olympia pulled out her book, following along once the lesson began. Potions hadn't seemed that complicated until she'd stepped into the classroom. She could barely hear something about a potion having to do with poison. Flipping through the pages in her book, she found a potion called the Antidote to Common Poisons. Hoping that's what they were set out to make, she began gathering the ingredients.

First Year Potions
Maeve glanced up as the girl sat next to her. "Hello? I'm Maeve Turner. Why are you sitting next to the teacher's desk?" Maeve said quickly. She hoped that speaking faster would prevent the stutters. "Everyone knows it's the wo-wo-worst spot in the classroom." She mentally cursed herself. Of course her tongue had got tangled up over the words.
Maeve sighed and turned to her book. What was the use in trying to make new friends, anyway? This Hufflepuff definitely wouldn't want to be associated with a Slytherin. She skimmed over the contents of the potion quickly. She had seen her father make this before, so hopefully she would get it right. Her father would be very angry if she didn't receive outstanding marks in this class. He was, after all, a potions master for Saint Mungo's.
Maeve looked for her scales. "Oh no!" She huffed under her breath. "Do you happen to have your copper scales with you? I forgot mine. Which is strange, as this is potions class..." She laughed nervously as she spoke. Maeve glanced up at her table neighbor briefly. "I'm so.. sor.. sorry to bother you. I just really need those scales, or I won't be able to make the potion..."
