Henry only nodded a bit as he spoke" yeah, he's bloody cute mate," when Stanley seemed to question his compliment on his bear before telling him that it belonged to his mum. Henry felt a sharp pain in his heart but he didn't show it as he inky smiled. Hiding emotions came easy to the boy, hearing about others talk about their mother's was still occasionally a hard conversation for the boy.
Henry almost felt bad for the boy in front of him even through his emotions were hidden so one could only see a smile, Henry would direct it toward the first year as he spoke" really? Because I find you very interesting Stanley," the boy offered him a smile and Loki would rub against first year's leg once before retaking a seat between Henry and Stanley.
"Anyway Big Ted amazing, he just needs to tell his adventures is all," Henry spoke brushing a few strands of his hair remembering his own stuffed fox toy in his bag named Newt after Newt Scamander and his he used to take him everywhere and do everything with the toy. Even wanting to become a fox animagus at one point like Newt.
Henry smiled at his reply about Big Ted messing up and him not needed to take the blame, obviously he knew it was a teddy bear and only Stanley but Henry wasn't about to say anything to him. He only nodded slightly with a smile, it was strange that the boy preferred to be around older students and adults but worked rather brilliantly with younger students and little kids.
However Henry wasn't expecting the questions from him and made a mental note of each one before reassuring him, " I don't mind answering," he would give him a smile before start answering his questions, " the book is called Care Of Magical Creatures by Newt Scamander," Henry would show him the book before continuing" it's an amazing book and has so many facts about so many magical creatures. Like how Mooncalves only come out on full moons and how the ministry Mark's centaurs as beasts but there actually smarter then humans and-
The second year saw he was getting over excited and quickly shut his mouth for a minute before asking quietly, " sorry about that," offering another small smile before waiting another moment and answering the rest of his questions, " I don't have any enemies but I do have a few people I don't get along with and I was mainly shy and awkward my first year. Sticking mostly with my best friend," Henry thought of Logan and again was quite happy that he met her because he wouldn't know what would happen if he didn't meet her.
"As for my career, I'm not sure yet really," Henry spoke not really sure he wanted to do after Hogwarts before asking" any other questions? Uh would you mind me asking how is your first year so far and what you might want to do as a career when your older?"

The boy squinted his eyes at the word Henry had used. Bloody was not something that he had heard used in that context before. It was always to describe a cut or something. Maybe it was a new way people expressed themselves instead of saying 'really'. Maybe 'bloody' gave the whole sentence a new meaning. Stanley however nodded his head content as he assumed it was meant in a good way from Henry's smile.
Stan sucked in a breath and suppressed the grin that he wanted to so badly to show. Someone found him interesting. That was a sign the hufflepuff was getting better at social interaction. He composed himself with a cough, "I- Umm.. Thank you." It was hard for him to hold his giddiness inside and instead bounced his lead to release all the energy his brain had produced.
"Yes. I agree." Stanley whispered nodding slowly, "Big Ted is prone to go on adventures and finds himself in the stickiest situations. My dad once found him in a tree. I have no idea how he got there." The boy snickered to himself knowing exactly how the teddy bear got there. They both had been pretending to be Peter Pan after he had watched it on a neighbors television box. Stanley had jumped without grabbing Big Ted and left him up there unknowingly. He had been in hysterics until Santino had found the comfort item the next day.
Sighing with relief, Stanley was very grateful that he hadn't overstepped any of Henry's boundaries just yet. He listened intently and nodded at every answer he was given. "I like Mooncalves and their really big eyes." He replied after the second year had stopped himself quickly noticing he was also rambling.
The boy leaned his right elbow on his knee and then rested him head onto the plan of his hand before nodding along again. As he finished, Stanley smiled glad to know that Henry had a particular good first year.
"No… I can't think of any other questions right now." His soft voice called out. Stanley sat up straight while thinking about the questions that had been asked towards him. His first year? It wasn't even past the Christmas holiday yet. Everything could take a turn for the worst.
Stanley opened his mouth and huffed before closing it. He probably looked like a stupid gold fish. "So far my first year has been alright. Nothing especially good has happened." It was true. Nothing important or exciting had happened as of that day. Everything had been normal. Just as he had expected.
"A job in the future? I wouldn't mind helping my dad at the small book shop he has back home. Maybe I could work at Gringotts or be an Auror." Looking up to the sky, his flash of the future died out, "Who am I kidding... I'll never be that cool to have such a good job."

'Bloody' was a term like 'really' that just came naturally to the boy. He grew up in Godric Hollow and Liverpool and visited London a bit ago he heard others use the word regularly, like he heard with other words which is why he used it instead of 'really' at times.
The second year would give the younger boy a smile and small nod at his words before the smile grew a bit when he started to listen to one of Stanley's teddy bear adventures.
Henry took guesses in his mind on how the bear got up in the tree but didn't say anything, he only smiled as he spoke" big Ted definitely sounds like one for adventure, he certainly sounds fun and rather cool," the lad smiled a bit and actually enjoyed talking to the hufflepuff that day. It felt comforting talking to Stanley about weird topics and not really needing to worry about if he's awkward or not.
Henry was glad is nerding out don't scare Stanley away as he smiled toward the younger boy, he was becoming more relaxed and comfortable than he was earlier however Loki would rub aginest Stanley's legs before sitting down next to Henry.
"If you have anymore questions then just let me know, I'll always be happy to answer them," Henry replied to the first year glad that he could assist and offer him help. The young boy didn't consider himself a expert at Hogwarts but he thought he was at least a bit knowledgeable to help another.
Henry found himself remembering his own first year, where nothing abnormal happened either and also the second year was thankful to avoid any troubling events as he spoke" well then hopefully your first year is amazing and nothing bad happens," the young second year smiled toward the hufflepuff for a moment.
When the discussion of future jobs came into play, Henry thought of his own and wasn't sure yet. He didn't know what he wanting to be in the future as he spoke"I think you pretty cool Stanley and plus you seem like you would make a good auror or gringotts worker."

"I'm sure adventure is Big Ted's middle name. He just hadn't told me yet." Stanley nodded making his long hair fall into his eyes. He pouted and then blew on it in hopes of moving the thin strands so slightly that they would no longer tickle his eyelids. "Obviously the his cool and fun. He is big ted after all."
The boy's face formed another small smile as Loki once again rubbed against his own leg. His coat of ginger fur was really soft and it surprised Stanley on how clean and tidy it was. Cats normally had fleas or they would have been in a tree and come down with twigs everywhere. Not Loki though. The cat then went to sit down by his owner, Henry, who looked like he had become a lot more comfortable around Stanley than when they had first met.
"I have no more questions." He shook his head and closed his eyes bringing Big Ted closer to his chest than before. Stanley had also become quite comfortable with Henry however had slipped back into his awkward state as soon as he knew he had nothing to talk about. Maybe it was best if he left and then they could catch up another time when Stan could at least thing of a few conversation starters before the interaction happened.
The boy then opened his eyes and let out a sign, "I'm glad your first year went well." He then looked up to the sky again and continued, "I- I think I should get going. It has been lovely meeting you and I would love to chat some other time."
Stanley stood up quickly and brushed off any grass that had stuck to his clothes. "Thank you for calling me cool. I think you are cool as well." He gave the Slytherin a sheepish grin while bending down ever so slightly to give Loki a little pat before turning around a walking off towards the castle. He hadn't wanted to leave so soon but it probably was for the best just in case he burst out with embarrassment.
