Hogwarts Book Recommendations and Reviews!

Hello, students and staff members of Hogwarts! I'm Calypso, and as you can tell, I am REALLY into books. This is a community based off of popular a series, as well as writing, so naturally, many of you are too. I thought it would be nice for us to have a place to recommend/review books we've read to share great writing and connect with each other through literature (even more so than we are now, anyhow, hehe).
Have you ever read a book that really impacted you and just felt the need to share it? Or you have a really long list of books you've read/liked and feel like putting it out there. Or maybe there's a volume you didn't particularly enjoy and you'd like to share some thoughts on that? (However, while it's perfectly great to discuss points that could have been stronger in a not-so-great book, this is not a hate/rant forum, so no raging about how-completely-terrible-this-one-book-was-and-the-author's-dog-is-ugly-too. Also,
NO HATING ON OTHER PEOPLE'S BOOK PREFERENCES, PLEASE!)
Aaaannnyhoo, just make a quick post in this thread including the book's title, author, age rating (this one's really important, people; we have youngsters on this site!) and your opinion on it. Easy-peasy! I will make a recommendation -or three- below to demonstrate. Have fun, bookworms!
Also, though I'm sure you have so many amazing reviews to give, please do not post more than 5 times in a row without another person going. We don't want this to get to be a spam thread. And at least two of those, if you're hitting the max, must be positive reviews. Let's not be haters. Plus, keep it PG. You can recommend mature books, but it must be clearly stated and please no graphic details. Thanks!

Title: Summer Bird Blue
Author: Akemi Dawn Bowman
Age Rating: Probably 12+ or so
Opinion:
Loved this book! It was sweet, and sad, and very honest. Really awesome character development. Could really see inside the protagonist's head, and she seemed very real to me. Takes place in Hawaii so great if you love the ocean. Deals with loss, and some mentions of mature themes, but overall very innocent in that sense. This is a good book for people who like poeticism but prefer not to read romance.

Title: Percy Jackson / Heroes of Olympus / Magnus Chase / Kane Chronicles / Trials of Apollo (yup, there's a lot of them xD Feel like there's gonna be someone recomending these serieses (is that a word?) at some point so figured i'd jump in first mwahahaha)
Author: Rick Riordan
Age Rating: Like, age 10? 7? All ages? It's pretty clean, the characters in the first book are 12 and age throughout all the serieses but they stay the same age rating.
Opinion: beauty in its purest form. they have a bit of just about everything in so they please just about everyone: action, mythology, a little romance... do be warned though, the rick riordan books have a very intense fandom. very very intense.
Title: The Lunar Chronicles
Author: Marissa Meyer
Age Rating: According to Google, 12+. There's quite a bit of violence though, especially in the last book, so I'd say more 13+ I think. Can't remember if there's anything inappropriate in it since I'm pretty sure it's YA, so don't quote me on that.
Opinion: fairytale + scifi = one of the best serieses (yeah, pretty sure thats not a word but ah well) I've ever read. Each book is based off a different fairytale (Cinderella (Cinder), Little Red Riding Hood (Scarlett), Rapunzel (Cress), Snow White (Winter) and they're all seamlessly brought together into the same world. (aa this is hard not giving away spoilers xD) Basically, amazing series, go read it.
