Adventures 101 PV Kaegen, Makena & Aurelia Clo

Kaegen didn’t respond. He seemed to be focussing on something else. He didn’t even seem to be listening to what she was saying.

Aurelia had her wand pointed in front of her. Her breaths were heavy, she was slightly anxious. It could be anything, she hasn’t come across a red animal from her past experience in the fields near her home, maybe hogwarts were different. She convinced herself that it was just another harmless creature or maybe she was just seeing things, though she knew clearly she saw something. She took a deep breath and exhaled, calming herself.

She turned to Kaegen, his wide eyes were dartig around, his body was tense. He reminded her of the deer on the meadows near her cottage, they would always tense with thier heads up when they sensed danger. The care of magical creatures class assistant should be the most knowledgeable about the different types of creatures wether beast, beings, and spirits. If Kaegen felt something was wrong, maybe Aurelia should be a bit more cautious.

She was calm now. Her parents always told her to be calm when in risky situations and think through before acting. It was useless to panick and would only make things worst if she did. She had her wand in but had only learnt a handful of spells during her time in Hogwarts. Incendio was the only thing useful that she knew of. She also could run if the creature attacks them, but that would mean leaving Kaegen behind. Aurelia also knew the spell accio which would summon and object towards her, however, she only tried this spell with a feather and no heavier, she didn’t know if it would work on an object as heavy as Kaegen. On the other hand, Kaegen would be fine alone as he had a knife strapped on to him, and a slingshot. Aurelia convinced herself that nobody would get hurt, though she doubted.

Makena was running when she realised she still had her uniform on she suddenly halted right at the edge on the lake or pond or whatever it was she walked around to the side of it and sat down just watching the water and looking back at the other two. Makena was looking to see what they were doing and the boy Kaegan she thought that was his name but she wasn't sure as she hadn't been introduced to him yet but anyway Makena say the boy take off his robes and he had what looked like jars and knives strapped to him she thought that was strange but couldn't really see what it was so she didn't think about it too much The boy ten ran up to the lake and jumped in this surprised Makena as she didn't even think he would do something like that. Not long after he dived into the lake Aurelia followed and also jumped into the lake and started to swim Makena was about to just leave her robes by the side of the lake and join them but the by dove under the water he was under there for about a few minuutes when he suddenly came to the surface gasping for air she just watched confused to what he was doing. Makena could see Aurelia trying to talk to him but he clearly wasn't listening the boy then started to make his way out of the lake he wasn't even swimming for that long this confused Makena more she could see a look of shock on Aurelia's face an she also got out of the lake they both made their way over to a bush Aurelia taking her wand out and the boy holding a knife at least that's what it looked like. Makena really wanted to now what was going on so she started making her way over to them both. When she got to them they were both just staring into the bush. "Hey whats going on over here ?" Makena asked confused 

There was no more movement, but he could still hear something, something small, in the brush. So he had been right about there being something. He hadn't doubted that he saw something, but it was nice to have confirmation, after all.
"We should head back"
His own safety was probably taken care of, unless it was something big. If it was something big, or dangerous then he would need to hide, which he couldn't do if there were these other people here. His instincts were screaming at him to do something, that standing still only worked when you were alone. Alone without any other students around making noise. They could probably cast incendio, but at the tender age of 11, the most they could do with that is maybe start a campfire with dry wood. It would probably burn a weak target, which was a pretty acceptable deterrent. But anything big enough to be a serious threat wouldn't bat an eye. And it was that serious threat that Kaegen was worried about. If the creature followed them, then they would fight, or lure it into hogwarts where it would certainly be defeated, overwhelmed by the incompetent professors sheer numbers. In all honesty, he would feel a lot more confident in the profs if they kept the school death witch free.

The creature stayed still behind the tree, and watched. He didn't want to risk being outnumbered by three wizards. To attack now would be suicide.

Makena looked at the boy and then back at Aurelia. "I think maybe it's scared" she paused "I mean what creature wouldn't be scared if three witches were stood in front of it." Makena stepped more forward now she was standing in the middle of Aurelia and the boy instead of being behind them. Makena didn't want the creature to be scared off and she was curious and wanted to know what it was. "Where are we?" She asked trying to mind out more information. "If we know where we are we could find out what kinds of creatures live around here and then if this creature is dangerous or not." Makena said looking at both the boy and Aurelia "We are sill on the grounds i think, we couldn't of walked that far." said said hoping they weren't lost. She paused for a moment looking behind the bush trying to see something. "Thats it!" She suddenly shouted, "Sorry for shouting I just had an idea, we got our timetables this morning and there was a map on the back of it so maybe we could use the map to find out where we are." She stated hoping it was  good idea. "What do you guys think?" 

Aurelia shook her head, “We don’t know what creature it is... yet. Harmless or not, we still must stand our guard.”

"We should head back"

Kaegen had suggested. Aurelia nodded, they shouldn’t disturb the creature, however, Makena thought otherwise,

It was obvious that she hadn’t had much experience with animals Nor creatures and didn’t know how they’d behave. She was naive to think that everything would be fine. Makena kept asking Kaegen and her where they were, as if they’d know. Aurelia didn’t remember seeing any magical ponds in the map’s radius. The was probably hidden by a spell. For sure someone had a purpose for doing so.

“Kaegen’s right,” she tugged at Makena’s sleeve, urging her to follow her.

“We should go, we don’t have much time left before the afternoon feast commences.” She lied, that had more than and hour left to play, but according to Kaegen’s instincts, the creature in the bush is possibly dangerous.

She walked backwards cautiously, still holding on to her wand tightly, she didn’t Wang anything to suddenly pounce on her. She went to the place where she left her clothes. She put her cherry wood wand beside her bag and began to change back into her dry clothes.

These people were so loud, it was horrible. He couldn't hear anything aside from the constant chatter he kept trying to tune out. There was something behind the bush, and it could be anything, and one of the girls said that they should find out where they are, then find out what kind of creatures live around the area to see if it was dangerous. Was she insane? There wasn't a single area of the world that didn't have something that wanted to kill you. And according to the other girl, he had completely lost track of time. He had thought they had more than an hour, where did the time go? Was this a side affect of the creature's power? As he started to panic, considering the possibilities, he saw the girl start to change clothes. Did she have nothing better to do? Nothing at all? They were probably about to be eaten by a dragon and she was changing clothes. Kaegen corrected himself. Not dragon, he would have spotted a dragon. It was something smaller than that. It had to be.
"Hurry up. Please."
There should be a spell for this, shouldn't there? Oh, wait. There was. There was a spell that was perfect for this situation. It was the first spell they learned in Defense against the dark arts. Pointing his wand a bit over the bush, Kaegen whispered the words of the spell, wondering if the other students had been at school long enough to take part in that specific class yet. If they had, then their wands would be useful.
"Periculum"
Red sparks shot from the boy's wand. Like a flare gun, they shot into the forest. A dash of movement followed, a small form with a red head ran deeper into the woods.

He would follow... Find them. Find them when they didn't know he was there and then...
The red sparks flew at the red cap.
A spell! It probably hurt, probably hurt bad. Turning tail, he ran into the forest, until he was reasonably out of range. He would keep watching, but not so close... He would wait for his chance to strike. In the end, the spell had not achieved anything. It had just made the creature harder to track. Harder to see coming.

Aurelia was putting on her black robe when an loud explosion, much like a fireworks. It gave her a scare and she instinctively let out a terrified scream. She whipped around to see a sounding red spark shooting out of Kaegen’s wand. The sudden explosion had scared away flicks of birds. They flapped to the sky as the sound emmited.

“Dumbledore’s beard! What was that?” She exclaimed. She realised Kaegen had pulled out a spell directing it at the bush.

“Are you mad, Kaegen?” Huffed Aurelia. Shooting the creature wasn’t necessary, yet Kaegen had to do it. He was probably panicking and wasn’t using his brains.

Just then, a short creature with a red head and green skin scuttled out and dissapeared in a bush not to far from the one Kaegen shot at. She pretended she didn’t see it, she didn’t want to press onto this situation further. She also wanted everybody to return to the castle without a scratch, attacking the creature might have already bothered the it, and if it intended to harm, it would come back for revenge sooner or later. It was best that they got going.

She tapped Kaegen on the shoulder. “Stop bothering it. We’re leaving immediately.”
She intended for her tone to be convincingly sweet, instead it came out strict as if she was giving an order. She sounded like one of her professors in potion class.

“Let’s go Makena.” She turned about her heels and started in the direction the came from.

Aurelia shook her head before saying

“We don’t know what creature it is... yet. Harmless or not, we still must stand our guard.”

Aurelia stated before the boy spoke.

"We should head back"

The boy suggested, Aurelia nodded in agreement. Makena still wanted to find out what type of creature it was they probably thought she was a dumb girl with little to no experience with magical creatures but she knew things and had come face to face with creatures good and bad she wasn't scared but it seemed the other two wanted to go so she silently nodded agreeing with the boy but he didn't think either of them noticed.

“Kaegen’s right,”

Aurelia said as she tugged at Makena’s sleeve, urging her to follow her.

“We should go, we don’t have much time left before the afternoon feast commences.”

Aurelia said, Makena knew she was lying she knew they wouldn't of gone swimming unless they had at least an hour. Aurelia then walked over and started putting her uniform back on. Makena followed and started putting her shoes on and grabbing her  bag. 

"Hurry up. Please."

The boy said still standing in front of the bush. Makena then head a loud bang and Aurelia scream so she quickly took out her wand and turned around it was the boy casting a spell which Makena suspected was the "Periculum" spell.

“Dumbledore’s beard! What was that?”

Aurelia exclaimed before talking again.

“Are you mad, Kaegen?”

Aurelia huffed, Makena agreed she rolled her eyes at the boy and put her wand away what he did would of only got the creature angry even if it was nice or not. Makena then saw Aurelia go over to the boy and say something before coming back to Makena. 

“Let’s go Makena.”

Aurelia said before turning back to he way we came. Makena followed she didn't want to be left behind. "I'm coming." she said looking at the bush behind her as she walked still curious to what it was.

It was almost funny how they had called him mad. Whatever was nearby in the bushes was now not nearby in those bushes, and considering the amount of time they were taking in getting ready to leave, they were going to need the extra time.
She had said to stop bothering it, told him that they were leaving immediately. It was a blessed relief. When they left, headed back to the safety of hogwarts, then he could stay here, hide, and find out exactly what the creature was. It didn't sit right with him to have the unknown be on someone else's side. "Sounds good, go on ahead."
He peered further into the forest, eyes darting to look at each slight movement. But to no avail. The boy couldn't see anything, and if it did decide to attack, a periculum spell would hardly fend it off. They boy wasn't even very well versed in incendio. It would have to be pretty weak to be fended off by what may as well be a blast of heat. it could cook bread, like the girl had done, and if you got hit, there would be burns. But no, his wand would be pretty much useless. He would have to use his slingshot, like he knew he would from the start. Why didn't these stupid lessons teach anything worth while?
As one of the girls started to walk away, Kaegen started to walk in the direction of the forest, slingshot drawn.
