While waiting for the first lesson
Hildegard Schneider was speechless, her body would not move, frozen out of fear. This Belle was really scarring her, did she really say something that bad ? She acknowledged it was not that nice to say but to go to this extend ? The Slytherin thought that Belle really must have hated Muggles to react like that, but what did they do to her ?
She was thankful that her brother was here because it really looked like Belle could have jumped on her at any moment.
"There is no way I can befriend someone this scary" she thought.
She needed to not make her an enemy at any cost, she knew that she would not be able to spend her time at Hogwarts if she was scared of someone like Belle the whole time.
So Miss Schneider tried to interact with Miss Florinberger, she tried as much as she could but her body was frozen, she tried to let out some words but her tongue was paralyzed.
-I...
-I...
-I'm...
-I'm...s
She was not able to say it, and it even got worst as she started to have a stomach ache, she putted her hands on her stomach, staying silent not able to do anything.

“Her reaction was normal, for her case, if you didn’t know. She’s had… a few bad cases dealing with Muggles. Our parents has to deal with a few of them before, and had to bring us along because they couldn’t find a babysitter, and they knew the house elves were always busy with something. One time, a Muggle girl told Belle to hold a torn bunny plush, and then when the girl left and came back, she had fake tears running down her face and had her dad next to her. The man lectured to Belle about her wrongs and what she could do right to ‘make her a better person to society’, as if she were his own daughter. That caused a huge impact on Belle’s life, and she was only seven. Mom and Dad obviously did something about it, and gave the Muggle girl real reason to cry, nothing too big to cry about, of course, and let Belle have a new bunny plush, so she’d have a companion,” Joey explained, kissing Belle on the head as she lay still, reliving the memory.
Joey cleared his throat and smiled down at Hildegard. He appreciated that Hildegard had tried apologizing. And Belle wasn’t going to say anything. There was no point, she thought.
“What class is this that your waiting for, again? There are too many, I can’t remember. And sorry for the sudden question,” Joey said, his smile fading slightly.
Belle whined a bit. She had tears running down her face. Joey rubbed her back, gently and slowly.

While waiting for the first lesson
Lance walked in as he listened to the rant about muggle-borns. Trying to mind his business, he didn't say much, but his eyes had widened. He didn't quite understand how one could hate them, and the more he thought about it, the more enraged he got. His father being a muggleborn, he knew more than most the hurt of "wizard discrimination" as he liked to call it.
"Done with your little fit about the so called muggle-borns? My father happens to be one and I don't care for the explanation, muggle-borns arent all like the ones you encountered, so I suggest you keep your mouth shut." He seemed calm, but was really giving the girl a penetrating glare. He shuffled his feet, sick of the class waiting.
He cracked his knuckles and tried to relieve his anger. He looked around at the half full hallway and sighed, too tired to wait any longer. The thought of waiting really sickened him.
"This wait is quite a bore. If anything, I'd have preffered to skip this class, but god forbid if I get detention, something tells me nobody will hear of me after summer." His smile faded and he shuddered at the thought of detention on his first week of school. He looked around the hallway and at the other people, trying to find something interesting to do.

paige was a good student. Well,, she tried to be. Her work was definitely not all O's, but due to the fact that she had trouble reading, she did pretty okay. She most certainly was not one to skip classes, so that's why you could see the hufflepuff leaning against a wall waiting for class.
It was taking forever... her eyes wandered around, as she was bored. A sudden commotion had erupted with students.. across the corridor. They must be waiting for their class, too. Paige sighed. She didn't like people fighting... but she also didn't like people being dramatic or mean.
Her ears listened to the words of a crying girl, trying to figure out what happened. She couldn't understand... but she did catch a few words to get an idea. The girl didn't like muggle borns.
Paige scoffed and pushed herself away from the wall as another boy walked over
He stood up for muggle borns fair and well, but Paige wanted to pitch in. "And can you tell me what's wrong with muggleborns?" She asked, not unkindly
"just one interaction with a muggle doesn't make muggle-borns bad." She said. "in fact, I'm a muggle born, and I'm proud of it. "
She turned to the boy as he said this was a bore. "I agree. It's taking foreveeerrrr . What class are you waiting for? "

Lance was still waiting for a reply from the muggle-born hater as he called her at the moment. He couldn't understand why she was so upset, thinking about a memory from just a couple muggles. He looked at the girl as she also stood up for muggleborns. Smirking, he looked at the hater and raised an eyebrow, indicating he wanted a reply.
He glanced at the girl as she asked what class I was waiting for. "Defense Against the Dark Arts." He replied, his arms crossed.
Lance did not want many classes today, and he was planning to skip. However, this teacher tended to notice every appearance, and every absence. It wasn't too bad though, this class was his favorite so he couldn't complain much.
He realized he had stuck himself in some drama before class, and sighed. He would much rather have silence, or at least friendly chatter. What was it with muggleborns, and all this drama? He thought, remembering all the nasty remarks he had heard about them.
"So.. while we are all here, I think some introductions are needed." He looked at the rest. "I'll start I suppose, I'm Lance, Lance Palmer. I like reading I suppose and some new friends wouldn't hurt, that is if any of you are interested in being friends." Waiting for class was boring, but atleast talking would help pass the time.

While waiting for the first lesson
Hildegard listened to Joey, while she was listening she could calm down, not completely but enough to be able to talk.
"Her brother is trying to justify this behavior ? No thank you ! I don't want her as a friend ! I would be scared that she become like just now twenty four seven !" She thought.
However she believed that a direct rejection would make her an enemy or perhaps even two enemy ! She cursed her situation, she was just there "chilling" waiting for her first lesson about magic and there she was dealing with this little psychopath she thought.
Her brother did however seem way more decent, so she decided to use him as an intermediate.
-I... We have Defense Against the Dark Arts... Hildegard said.
After taking a breath in order to find the power to say it she continued :
-Your sister... She is scaring me, I don't want to be her friend, I don't want anything to do with her, please just leave me alone.
She hesitated a second and continued,
-I am sorry, I did not meant to insult her by suggesting she was a muggle-born, I... I don't hate them... I'm actually scared of them...
Hildegard turned around trembling, looking at the new people interacting with her. Two of them at least claimed to be Muggle-borns, she knew it was not the perfect idea to tell muggle-borns she was scared of them, but she firmly believed in her right to be scared of anything she wanted, that's not something she felt like could make her enemies.
-I...I'm Hildegard Schneider, I'm... a Slytherin. Hum... I'm a pure blood, my family come from Germany and I...hum...really love dueling.

Joey nodded and smiled softly and sweetly at Hildegard, and Belle looked at the two people who were standing up for mudbloods. Belle squeaked a bit, trying to find words.
“I-I-I didn’t mean to upset you… But I’m sure this can be resolved, due time. Maybe over a cup if tea at my place when the nearest break comes around? Joey won’t mind, would you, Brother?” Belle said, looking up at Joey. He shrugged and looked down at the three interacting with his sister. Belle continued, “I am Belle Florinberger, Gryffindor, and at your service. I deeply apologize for my behavior. I’ve only ever met the bad Mudbloods. I’ve never met kind ones, but things will clear up, eventually. Please be ever so kind as to forgive me?”
Belle curtsied and looked up at the three, smiling warmheartedly. Joey bowed and smiled awkwardly, for he did not know what to say. Joey and Belle then looked at each other, shrugged, then looked back at the others.
Suddenly, Joey face palmed, and spoke up. “I am Joey Florinberger. I’m in Hufflepuff and I’m in my fourth year. And how come Slytherin and Gryffindor always have problems with each other? Every single year, something happens between the two. Is it just bloodline? It confuses me so much! Yes, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw have problems with each other here and there, but not as bad as Slytherin and Gryffindor! My, I don’t think I’ll ever get my answer for it.”

He twitched as he heard it again. The word "mudblood" as caused him some trouble, and he didn't want to hear it anymore. He tried to calm down and he spoke. "Tea.. would be nice. But if you don't mind, the word "mudblood" isn't the word you call muggleborns so I suggest you stop saying it. He thought for a moment, trying to decide to forgive the girl or not. "I suppose I can forgive you.."
He stopped looking at Belle, and looked at Joey Hildegard as they made their introductions. He fidgeted with his hands and listened. "Hm, Gryffindor and Slytherin don't seem to get along, do they..? I suppose it's just because the amount of differences and opinions. Gryffindors are our greatest competition most of the time, so it does make sense."
Lance checked his watch and sighed. It was a pretty humid, even thought it was early in the morning and he wondered why the classes hadn't been cancelled. The teachers were crazy, in his opinion.
"Well, since classes are going to be a pain today, do you all want to hang out sometime after classes, like Belle had suggested?" In Lance's mind, if you meet new people there isn't a reason to not make plans. His father had always told him to make friends once he got to Hogwarts, and it was proving easier than he thought.

Paige nodded. Defense against the dark arts was a cool class. She looked at Lance, his name was, and smiled. "Good idea. I'm Paige Grant, second year puff." She said, referring to "Hufflepuff". She looked at Hildegard and smiled. "I really like your name. It's okay to be scared of things, there's no shame in that. But don't worry, Muggles can be super nice!" She said, reassuring the girl.
She turned to belle agreeing with Lance. She winced at the word mudblood. "It's alright.. some people can be mean sometimes... but as Lance said... Could you please stop saying mudblood? It's a bit offensive you know. " She said to the girl. She was startled when Joey face palmed and introduced himself. "Oh.. yeah.. haha... I guess so. Although, it makes no sense really. " She said. "Most Hufflepuff get along with the other houses fairly well... but never ever not stand up for something. We're underrated a lot, you know." She said. She turned to Lance. "Oh, good idea! I managed to snag some treats from hogs- I mean the kitchens earlier." She said, nearly giving out that she had been at Hogsmeade without proper permission.
Belle had suggested they chat at her house, but by the way she had acted, Paige wasn't sure her parents would be too happy with her being there.

- I don't mind coming, thank you for the invitation. The Slytherin replied.
After saying so she noticed her mistake, she would have to be in company with that creepy Gryffindor girl even more.
Hildegard sighted, looking at Belle she said :
-Listen I'm sorry for what I said, I... I just thought you were really being scary and creepy, I don't even know you and you act like we are best friend, please refrain from doing that.
Miss Schneider looked around her searching for the teacher, but since she could not found her she added :
- Where and when are you suggesting to hang out Lance ? I don't mind as long as it's not too late, I don't want to be out of dorm after 8pm, it's too scary here at night. I hope it does not bother anyone to be honest I am far from being brave...
She looked at all of them, one by one trying to memorize their faces and names all while making a fake smile for all of them.
"So those people are probably going to become my future friends ?" She made the remark to herself.
