An old promise pv Henry Knight finished

Dakota seemed to take in a deep breath as she listened to Henry. She couldn’t promise that she’d be able to find more, she was almost certain she would but she couldn’t promise. Though the fact that Henry enjoyed the tale made Dakota feel more at ease with him and quite happy. Though when Henry thanked her she gave a slit tilt of her head and a laugh. “No need to thank me, I enjoy it, both things,” she definitely enjoyed telling her history, many stories held in it she believed to be true, she of course knew some may never be able to be proven, some she didn’t want proven, but she’d still place her trust in them. But she also enjoyed being Henry’s friend and having someone to rely on made her smile.
Blinking at Loki she let out a soft laugh. Though quite quickly Henry’s words had caught her attention again, blue eyes resting back on the Slytherin. She thought that over, maybe it would be nice to talk about her other home and her father. Dakota had given a soft nod after thinking it over “sure, I wouldn’t mind,” accompanied by a soft smile. Curiosity shimmered in her eyes as she watched Henry move towards the lake. Her instant reaction had been to step after him, a eyebrow raised as she quietly watched him kneel by the lake. His words caused a smile to appear along her lips, blinking softly as him she nodded “that’s a good idea.”

Henry smiled toward Dakota, the year was nearly over but that day felt like it could have lasted a lifetime. The young teen smiled toward the hufflepuff, blue eyes meeting blue eyes.

Henry enjoyed being her friends as well, having someone to talk to and laugh with. To nerd out about magical creatures and animals with. To sit by the lake, not feeling pressured to speak to say anything with. Henry Knight is a introvert and has anxiety but that doesn't mean he doesn't like having friends or others around him. He likes being alone but hates being lonely.

"I enjoy them to, the tale and your friendship," Henry replied smiling at Dakota. That day felt perfect. A memory to add to his mind, one he would hold onto for lifetimes to come and would think back on when he is stress or in trouble.

Loki stretched between the two, his amber eyes looking at Henry than Dakota. Switching between the two as they talked almost like the orange feline was listening to his owner and his owner's friend.

Henry smiled at Dakota, blue meeting blue as the teen thought about he couldn't discuss his family or grandparents but if he could help another discuss theirs then that would feel just as great. The teen would nod to her words with a smile actually looking forward to it, blocking our curiosity about his own family and the Knights.

Henry smiled toward the girl, glad that she thought it was a good idea as he placed the flower gently into the lake. Watching it float off through the water calmly. Henry got up and took a few steps back to Dakota, sliding down and sitting next to the girl aginest the tree taking a breath of the air.

Smiling as he watched the great lake water rippling perhaps from the giant squid, Henry would reach his hand out and starch between Loki eats for a moment. Then look over at Dakota, blue meeting blue as he spoke" what if we just sat here together for a bit?"

Silently, Dakota watched Henry from where she was sitting. She found the boy quite interesting, one of the few people she felt comfortable enough with to be herself around, someone who in the least made her feel safer and more heard. It felt nice to have a friend like that, Henry was someone Dakota could depend on and that made her feel better whenever she was down. Of course, she would always try to do the same for the Slytherin boy, no matter where that landed herself. Though, maybe that was one of Dakotas problems, putting others before herself and putting on a facade.
Though Dakota had been lost in her thoughts, when Henry had sat next to her, her gaze snapped to him. Giving him a soft smile she nodded ”that sounds lovely,” comfortable even. It felt nice to have a friend she could either talk with or just sit shoulder to shoulder and read a book together in silence. So far she had never felt awkward or afraid around him after their meeting. Though she had silently reminded herself to be cautious of newer people, Dakota had begun to feel like she had known Henry for months or possibly even years already.
