Haley watched her boyfriend as he stroked his hair and tried to put everything back in place. Obviously she was captivated by the show, but his words brought her back to the here and now. Haley took a strand of her long hair between her fingers and twirled it around while looking at Simon with big puppy dog eyes. "I am sooo sorry." She replied sarcastically before playfully splashing water in Simon's direction. "Of course not." She laughed now. Even though he might have thought she reminded him of Ariel, Haley had probably never had the right demeanor for a princess.
"If you couldn't swim," Haley began, walking slowly toward Simon, "Then I would have heroically saved you." She put the flat of her hand on the back of his neck and the other on his lower back and carefully shifted him into a lying position. In the water, Simon was light as a feather to her and his body floated on the surface of the water and her hands provided light support from below. "But with Herman, I'm actually stumped." She admitted honestly and was surprised that he called the giant squid Herman. She wondered if he knew Alina too, or if the name had become so common at Hogwarts by now? Haley didn't know, but it was a nice tribute to her good friend.
She giggled at Simon's theatrical description of how he would toss Simon a cross the lake. "Silly you. Of course I would still sacrifice myself heroically and make myself available as toy of a dog or better toy of Herman." She joked further, slowly removing her hands from his lower back and neck, his body continuing to float as if weightless on the water. "Except," she now began to speak anxiously, "Herman is moving too fast and I can't react." She looked at Simon, startled, before throwing herself on top of him and pushing him under the water by the shoulders, submerging him.
Haley resurfaced laughing, she just couldn't let it go. She wished she could have such fun here in the lake every day of the summer but unfortunately it wasn't possible, so it was all the more important to take advantage of the opportunity now this month. "Forgive me." She now spoke to Simon and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Selina slowly climbed out of the lake dripping everywhere. She sort of hoped someone would want to join her in the water but was wrong nobody wanted to come in the water with her, soaking she wrapped herself in her towel and sat down on the floor.
Maybe nobody wants to talk to me? She thought, but wondered why nobody wanted to, Selina's a kind girl and loves swimming. Selina was a bit bored to she took of her towel and walked towards where the most people were.
"Do any of you want to join me in the lake?" Selina asked pointing at the lake, "it's ok if you don't." she added quietly.
She fiddled with her hair until someone would answer, she then fiddled with the frilly, black bits on her swimming costume until someone would answer.
"I've been in," she continued, "it's lovely in there, warm once you've been in for a minute but cold when you get in at first."
She then walked off bored, and no one answered so maybe someone would come over to her and invite her into the water. But she didn't get her hopes up as she doubted it would happen. But maybe someone would invite her into the water.

Sun, lake, good mood and some fun were just right for this warm day. He laughed at his best friend's comment, of course she would want revenge and he would be the last one to deny her that wish, only he wouldn't make it too obvious. That's when it came out in him again, the gentleman. He suddenly started laughing really loud when he saw Irina's dramatic exit, "Gosh, c'mon. You are so dramatic." He laughed and playfully splashed some water at her before drifting back comfortably on his back and closing his eyes.
He knew he would be the perfect target for Irina that way, but he was alert even with his eyes closed, listening for the sounds around him while a slight smirk was on his lips. It was hard to place all the sounds though and so now he just waited for the attack, it was hard not to open his eyes and even though the uncertainty was driving him crazy he forced himself to. Eyes still closed, he knew the revenge would come any moment and his body put itself on a kind of alert. Out of nowhere it finally came, the attack he had been waiting for. Irina pounced on him and dunked him under the water by the shoulders. She had caught him cold, but he would not give up without a fight. He reached up with his arms and pulled her under the water with him, clutching her with his legs. She had caught him cold, but he dragged her down with him.
After the two resurfaced he laughed out loud, "Nice try." He winked at her before his attention was drawn to the girl he had just called out to. He was still laughing broadly. "Hey there." It was unusual for Nate to be so open to new ones, but when Irina was around he found it easier to be who he was. For once, he didn't switch into his introverted ways and he didn't even notice. "I'm Nate." He introduced himself now too and watched Irina in the corner of his eye as she dived off again. He had a feeling the fight wasn't over yet. "We're from Koldovstoretz. Hogwarts?" he asked, thinking he had seen her somewhere before in the school uniform.

The blond boy slung a maroon towel over his shoulders as he made his way down to the lake. He had no concern about bringing shoes as it was mainly grass he was walking on. Milo paused and observed the scene laid out in front of him. There were many kids already at the lake splashing around and doing other shinnagins, some of which he deemed as a harmless joke or a possible danger hazard. He concluded that he would likely get bumped into or soaked by an unsuspecting stranger even though it wasn't his plan. The boy merely wanted to swim, or hover in the lake, enjoying the cool water against his skin under the blazing sun. His attention was snapped back to the lake and he heard the down side of any water source ever. Nosiness.
He simply set his towel down in a vacant area, away from the water as to not get it soaked. Milo had the decency to wear a shirt down to the lake unlike well, all the other boys who were bare-chested. Maybe it was just him being self-conscious too. The boy never wore anything less than collared shirts and button downs. Quickly removing the white tee from over his head before he could procrastinate anymore he decided to apply sunscreen. He had brought a bottle and started applying and managed to get everywhere.. except his back which was pretty susceptible to burning. The boy pinched his nose bridge in irritation at being inflexible and let out a sigh before scanning the crowd. Many people were already in the water and he didn't want to awkwardly bother them but then he spotted his target. Perfect.
A younger girl by the looks of it was calling to see if anyone wanted to join her in the lake. He hadn't come with anyone so he shrugged and cupped his hands around his mouth to call out to her, making his voice louder. "Oi over here! I'll come in the water with you if you'll help me with sunscreen." He took the bottle in his hand and shook it in her direction. While waiting for the girl to come over he sat down cross-legged on his towel, letting the sun bounce off his skin and the happy laughter from the other students fill his ears. It was never fun to to go to a pool or a party by yourself so why not try to make a friend while he was here so it would be less.. awkward?

"Thanks," Selina said thankfully to the boy, "I just was bored and nobody wanted to swim with me, I'll help you put your sunscreen on now."
Selina was glad that someone had asked her to swim, well not asked just said that they'd swim with Selina. He seemed like a kind boy but he didn't look familiar so maybe he didn't go to Hogwarts, maybe a different school.
"Who are you?" Selina asked. "Sorry it's just you don't look familiar that's all." Selina was curious about everyone if she helped them or became friends with them.
"Right what do you want me to do?" she asked not really sure about how she could help the boy putting his sunscreen on. Selina was hopeless with stuff like that but maybe she could help in an extremely random way. But who cares anything to help to get into the water.
"I've been into the the water it's lovely, cold when you get in but fine after a while." Selina announced.
Selina was hopeless with conversations but always gave it her best no matter what, it was easier for her to talk to someone if she knew the person's name, but she was sure the boy would reply in the next few minutes.

The boy put on a simple smile as the girl approached and thanked him. "Keeping a lovely lady like yourself company this afternoon is my pleasure." The boy joked, his smile cracking into a grin. She seemed a bit more relaxed now as they eased into conversation. Meeting new people could be tough, speaking from first hand experiences. You never knew what sort of personality a person had until you talked with them but seems he chose a good one to converse with.
"Ah the name's Milosh Rehnquist, 5th year Durmstrang. And you are?" He waved his hand, dismissing her apologizing for asking his name. It wasn't at all a thing to apologize for and she was correct in the sense that she hadn't seen him around at Hogwarts. Because, well he didn't go to that school. She then asked what to do and he paused for a second before answering. "Just my back, I could reach everywhere else but alas I am not flexible and my arms can't snap in half to reach those hard places." He shrugged, a bit of sarcasm coming through his words.
It was silent for a bit before she spoke again, this time not a question. "Swimming has to be one of my favorite summer activities. I agree with you though, this lake looks colder than your average pool but you just have to dunk yourself under water and then it warms up pretty quickly." He nodded, flicking his hair out of his face as he scanned out at the crowded area. "Thanks by the way for the help and company, once you are done with the sunscreen we could probably head in." Milo replied as he stretched his hands above his head before remaining still in a semi-hunched over cross-legged position again.

Cosmo walked down to the great lake and stood for a moment, taking in the teachers and students alike. People happily splashed in the murky water, and others lay or sat on the warm sand. Either way there was an air of happy frivolity, and infectious laughter carried up through the air to the young Gryffindor, making her smile. With a hastily stifled yawn she continued walking down towards one of the few clear spots left on the sand. It was much later than Cosmo planned to arrive, but last night had caught up to her young mind, and after all the excitement she massively overslept. Now she was quite a bit more tired than what was ideal.
If Haley and Simon hadn't been in the water, Cosmo probably would have lain down on her towel and dozed off. But they were, and as soon as she spotted them her face lit up. She dumped her stuff in a heap, and ran down to the edge of the water, paying no mind to the chill as she dove in. Much more invigorated now, she swam quickly towards her friends, before diving underwater and pulling herself across the lake floor with her eyes open. It was muddy and dark, and her lungs felt as though they would be crushed but finally a pair of pale feet emerged, and Cosmo grabbed them with a muffled watery laugh. She tugged Haley down by her ankles, and then emerged spluttering and laughing.
"I got you didn't I!" she cried, proud of herself and knowing that the redhead would be able to survive the shock. Cosmo spun in a circle in the water, cackling and catching her breath. "I got Haley Rose, na na na na na naa," it was all in good fun of course, and once she finally calmed down, she addressed Simon as well. "I do hope I didn't interrupt you guys though, if you want alone time I'm happy to leave you to it," sometimes Cosmo worried that she didn't let the couple have enough time to themselves, and they had just spent the night together after all.

Paige put on an orange and white one piece, because she didn't like to show her stomach. It made her feel... a bit self conscious. Just like wearing a short dress. As she walked to the lake, her crocs squeaked as she walked to the sound of laughing and splashing. She carried her towel over her shoulder and some sunscreen in the other. She had her sunglasses on, because it was quite bright out.
When she reached the lake, she found a nice spot and set down her towel. She took out her sunscreen and began to do her arms and legs. However, her one piece had an open back and she couldn't reach. She looked around, not sure what to do. Having a sunburned back wouldn't be enjoyable, and it would surely hurt.
"Hey, can someone help me sunscreen my back real quick, please?"

Henrietta was a rather excitable girl; lakes were a pool of thrills waiting to be discovered (despite having seen the gulf a fair few times), parties were lively times to make friends (despite not always being the best to make friends with), and combining the two creates paradise (despite the aforementioned flaws). The lake was no gulf. The scent wafting through the air wasn’t quite as salty, nor was the overwhelming aroma of sunscreen trying to cover it. As Ret made her way toward the lake and the lovely little beach set up around it, these differences would be ticked off a list of things she missed about home.
In all honesty, Ret wasn’t even much of a swimmer. The young girl was more the type to dash through sprinklers and slide down waterslides probably well into her thirties, but beyond an anticipated jump or two, the blonde would prefer the sidelines. Carving tan lines, just as she’d be if wandering the garden rows in America, reminiscing and soaking it in. It was hard to enjoy a vacation when your mind kept falling back into home, fresh strawberries and infinite fields, but after darkening reddening that ivory skin a shade or two, surely her adventurous side would kick itself back into gear.
On the plus side, the area was just as alive as she’d hoped in her dreams. Several students, most unknown, were collapsing into the water in a swan dive or failed cannonball, babbling about who knows what, floating along the water’s surface and letting it carry them. A few lingered on the beach, curled up or socializing, a perfect party save the family telling her how tall she’s gotten all these past years. Ret blended effortlessly into the crowd of partygoers, wearing a modest two-piece swimsuit adorned with sunflowers.
Something about the scene—likely the socializing and the appreciable homely tone of it all—had absorbed Ret in a world all her own. A pretty and blissful one, and a comfort was starting to ease over her where she stood, so naturally, the girl pushed along, intending to sink onto a vacant blanket for a short while before diving into the water to wet her hair and likely lose the fake ring still clipped on her nose. However, there were inhibitions. Nerves, frustration at being dragged here, yearning—also an actual blockade in the form of a certain platinum-haired boy who Ret would later swear apparated into the spot simply to annoy and inconvenience her. The blonde girl, eyes locked on the horizon, would tumble over him as though that sun had blinded her.

Early Afternoon
At Great Lake
After a display of athleticism (aka Cash successfully did a double front - flp) before landing into the water, the green eyes finally emerged. Luckily people that swam under or near the platform heard their warning. As Cash emerged, the sun beating down on their face but the cool water of the lake give a soothing sensation.
Cash looked around as they swam lazily in the water. They heard laughter and people splashing around but some of the sound get muffled by the water. Cash sighed at the peacefulness. At this moment, they were hoping that their friends joined them but there were no signed of Henry or Starlee.
So after awhile floating around on the lake water, Cash decided to walked toward where they put all of their things. As they walked to where their spot, they passed by a girl that wears an one piece swimsuit. The piece that the girl wears remind them of a sunflower, Cash took a quick pace to their picnic blanket and picked up their towel.
They swiped their wet hands until it clean and dry, After they done that, they walked back again to the orange - clad swimsuit girl. It is not in their nature to be kind to stranger but it seems less boring if you had someone to having fun with and it will not harming anyone if Cash decided to have a new friend along the way.
"Cute glasses and bañador (swimsuit)"Cash's Cuban accent seeped through as they compliment the young girl. "Bañador means swimsuit"The beater translate the word to English for the other girl. "I can help you with that if you want"The green eyes averted their eyes to the sunscreen and then back to the girl.
"Just tell me where"Cash added. "Cash, Slytherin's Beater, soon to be third year"The young socialite introduced themselves to the other girl. "And you are?"Cash inquired the curly haired girl. It is seems a bit pompous and superficial of them to introduced themselves toward the other girl that way but Cash could blame their lack of social skill for that.
