Milo's jaw clenched at the boy's words. For someone who looked younger compared to him, he was quite the spit fire. He took a silent deep breath, cooling himself off before keeping a level voice and gaze with the boy."This is a game and you lashed out at her, nearly making her cry due to you being offended? Bullshit. You wanted to start something and look where it got us? Get a thicker skin and Grow. Up." Milo had spat out the last part, his brown gaze narrowing in distaste at the event that had unfolded.

He was here for fun and now it had got ruined because of one little comment. The boy ran a hand through his hair and bit the inside of his cheek, a bad habit that had grown on him quite a lot in either awkward, tense or nervous situations. Milo saw another girl now add on to the argument but with.. gestures? He didn't know those but then a familiar gesture in the form of a slap was thrown his direction of which he dodged of course. The boy was about to tell her that it was uncalled for but knew if he said that it'd just be thrown back in his face. Instead he threw her a disapproving look.

(1)"Idioty, vse oni.." He muttered under his breath to himself. Suddenly he froze as the boy threatened to Flippendo them into the lake. He didn't freeze in fear, more so that all of this nonsense had almost come to violence. Then this girl, supposedly a friend of his told him to leave. "You should listen to your girlfriend hm? Put that wand down I will not hesitate to Expelliarmus you." Milo raised his brow, almost in a challenge. He didn't want it to come to violence, but he also wouldn't be the first one to back down from a fight, wands or not.

Could there not be a single Hogwarts event involving more than five students that didn't end with wands drawn and spells flying? Apparently not. Dee shouldn't be surprised anymore, honestly.

Frankly, she was terrible at reading the mood of a situation, but it was hard to miss the exploding tensions around here, and she straightened up with a frown, trying to get a grasp of the situation.

So... Scarlett had dared Vivian to imitate an accent. Kazuo and Santario, both of whom Dee had gotten to know as rather level-headed people (more level-headed than herself, at least), had taken offense. Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin and Milo were jumping to the girls' defenses, and suddenly everyone was threatening to start throwing spells. Or already attempting to throw hands, in case of Cassie with too many names, who Dee had effectively blocked from spellcasting with her pantomime dare. Honestly though, physical violence? She had even less patience for that than the spell slinging (which she herself was sometimes inclined to do).

Funny what a little responsibility did to her instincts of self-preservation, she thought as she stepped into the middle of the group, hands raised, nowhere near her wand. Before she'd become prefect, she never would have done this, but now she felt a little obligated to at least try and calm things down. She tried positioning herself so she'd be in the way of all of them and their intended targets, although this was hardly possible, so she mainly stepped in between Santario and Milo. They seemed like they could do most harm, honestly.

"Can we please, you know, not do this?" she asked, a trace of exasperation in her voice. She pointed at Kazuo. "Good on you for speaking up, but you could have been a bit nicer in explaining why this wasn't a good dare." Switch to Cassie. "I said pantomime, not hit people. Defending your friends is fine, but if the dare made Kaz uncomfortable, he's allowed to say so." Switch to Milo. "While you might not mind, others obviously do. No reason to start hexing people." She turned to Scarlett thoughtfully. "Same to you, your friend isn't the standard of everything. People get offended at very different things. Thanks for retracting the dare, maybe you could just pose a different one?"

She sighed, turning in a circle. "Who did I miss? Oh yeah. Vivian, several people said so already, but I don't think anyone hates you." Then a quick grin at Santario. "And while I know you're very much capable of hexing people, please don't? Not at an event that's just supposed to be fun, at least, and not while I'm here. It puts me in an awkward position, you know?"

Dee tilted her head to one side, smiling brightly. "Now, can we please all relax a little? I don't think anyone intended any harm." Probably. "This was supposed to be fun. Can we just learn from this and get back to the fun?"

A bit more serious, she faced Kazuo and Santario again. She liked both of them, knew they were intelligent, interesting. "You can leave, of course, if you want." She shrugged slightly, a little disappointed. "But it would make the game less interesting, I think."

A girl from another school, possibly beauxbatons said something in french, Vivian didn’t understand it but from the grin and the clap she could figure out it was a compliment. Smiling brightly at Scarlet and Cassie, she mouthed “Thanks”. When Scarlet mentioned Amortensia, Vivian was confused. All this time, she was thinking an evil spirit entered into anyone who acted weird that day but only now she came to know that the drink was spiked, how clueless she was! She flinched at herself.

The blonde listened to Kazuo with her eyes welled up with tears that would anytime break out, but didn’t utter another word as she thought she would cry if her mouth opens once again. As Scarlet started talking, she didn’t look at her, or anyone else as she was not able to face anyone but nodded, Scarlet had a point as well, they both didn’t make fun of them, it was just trying something new. When she kind of interviewed Cassie, she looked at her to know how she felt and narrowed her eyes trying to puzzle out her actions, mouthed, “He... is head? headless? brainless? Or something similar?” tilting her head slightly and smiled a little at her for being kind towards her. After all, they all didn’t hate her, so she doesn’t need to worry, right?

Turning to look at Milo as he translated, a teardrop flees from her eye as he tried to comfort her. Wiping it away as soon as it released, she looked at Cassie but didn’t understand what she said this time but said, “Thanks” and smiled glancing at Scarlet, Cassie and Milo. As Cassie headed towards Kazuo trying to slap him, Vivian jumped to her feet and hurried towards them, but it’s a good thing it missed out or it would end up in the big problem. “Come on, why are you being so rude now?” seeing him gesturing his wand towards her, she stood in front of Cassie to hide from their hex “Yes, she tried to slap but... she didn’t, right?”, it was a poor defence but she wanted to save Cassie from their wand point. It was all her fault and now she couldn't accept others facing the problem. Her face looked so red, “And I said sorry, I am sorry about the slap, I am sorry for everything happened what more do you want now? And could you please drop your wands” with a serious look, it was not worth a fight, that’s what she thought. On the other hand, she didn’t know why Cassie is using sign language.

Already the situation was problematic, before it could go anymore problematic, Dee stepped in. Everything she said was sensible and Vivian nodded as she continued, “No one hates me? Thanks” her voice was so low and she looked down but she was still not satisfied with it, what if someone secretly hates her? She was here to have fun not to cry and she knows it but she has no control over her feeling, her feelings have control over her. Secretly she hoped Kazuo and Santario to leave, it was so uncomfortable to look at them.

Dare to @Dan Palmer

Poor Simon. He was bumping into one thing after another. It didn't matter if it was a chair, a table, a person, ...what was that? No matter, he had to find his person. After shouting out the boy's name he listened and at first he heard nothing but then he heard a response. He went one direction, no. Chair.

He went another direction. Table. Then another. "Sorry,' he said as a girl gave a sort of disgruntled groan when he knocked into her.

"Sorry, sorry. I should dare you to crawl around this place and be my seeing eye dog until I'm allowed to open my eyes again," Simon said as he came closer to where he thought the boy was. Hopefully. "Dan Palmer? I'm to grace you with a dare," he began.

Knowing he had signed up for this, he tried to think of some good dares to give but nothing jumped out at him quickly. So he thought maybe it would be best to just go with what felt right at the time and well, he didn't know that they were the best dares but he would give out two choices.

"Okay, so you have two options and I dare you to pick one. Either...find a girl or group of girls to give you a complete makeover.... or... find someone to change clothes with for the length of the game."
Simon jokingly and quickly held onto his shirt. "And no stripping me down just because I can't see you," he smiled.

Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)

It had started with a single dare, a single remark, and now people - strangers who didn't know any of the students involved even - were drawing wands, threatening others and ready to throw some hands. Scarlett felt nothing but rage. It was annoying and made Scarlett borderline angry that Outfit-Stealer and the other girl had criticised her dare so much, but she could let it pass because there was a problematic element behind it, even if it wasn't so visible at the surface. However, the two of them brandishing wands and telling Cassie they would hex her to the lake? Merlin no.

Granted, Cassie had attempted to slap Outfit-Stealer, though he had smoothly dodged, much to Scarlett's spite. Cassie then started barraging him with a series of gestures that looked like...sign language? Cassie grabbed Scarlett and flung her forward at Outfit-Stealer as if she expected her to understand and explain what Cassie was saying! "Uh Cass, I don't know a word of sign language," warned Scarlett, throwing a look back at her friend before glaring at Outfit-Stealer, who she still didn't know the name of. Why oh why had she the misfortune of sharing a cabin with him? "And you. You think threatening to sling spells at people is going to help? Like, Cassie's slap was a bit extreme-" A pointed look at her friend, who was currently rendered literally speechless, exactly when Scarlett needed her backup the most. "But can we chill and not add to the tension? Don't get me wrong, I love drama, but this is meant to be fun."

Needless to say, Scarlett did not appreciate unwanted agitation disrupting her elation and her mood as she returned to her favourite childhood game.

The other girl, the French one who Scarlett knew as the Slytherin Duelling Captain, spoke up next. She exhaled heavily. "Martin, your opinion isn't everyone's opinion. I've retracted the dare for Merlin's sake, can we just lower our wands and stop threatening to throw hands? If you guys are this annoyed about everything, then maybe you should leave." Scarlett crossed her arms. If things got messy, then sure, Scarlett would be very much willing to engage in a fight. But then again, as she had already decided, she didn't want combat tainting her memories of a fun game.

Then the stranger who had decided to get involved spoke up. His words made Scarlett have an epiphany. Vivian had been crying. And Outfit-Stealer had just ignored it. At this, Scarlett had to nod in agreement with the stranger [Milosh] as she clenched her fists, realising that someone had been stuck in all their verbal crossfire - Vivian. The weird thing was, Scarlett was pretty sure Vivian was in the same year as Outfit-Stealer, which made everything even odder. Did Outfit-Stealer really have the arrogance to do all this...stuff?

"Wow, congratulations on the top-notch threats," bit Scarlett bitterly, at the stranger [Milosh], Outfit-Stealer and Martin. "If you three want to have a duel, then go somewhere else. Some people are trying to enjoy the game."

Then Dealla stepped in. Scarlett unclenched her fists a little. If no one would listen to her preaching about calming down, then maybe they would listen to a prefect. Scarlett threw her hands up in the typical surrendering position. "That was what I was saying," she said to Dealla. "And I think maybe Vivian would prefer not to have another dare from me. We're switching partners soon anyway so-" She shrugged. Dealla then smiled. Smiled! It was odd, especially in this situation, but Scarlett felt a grin of herself rising, which she had to bite down because it did not fit with the vibe at the moment.

"Yep. As I said. Fun, fun, fun." She glanced in Outfit-Stealer and Martin's direction to see Dealla speaking to them. An envy of sorts rose up in her but she crushed it back down as quick as it came. Normally at this point, she would depart with Cassie and leave the whole ordeal behind her, but for a moment, she stayed. She didn't leave - not yet.

Kazuo Shimada would pose a question to Santario Martin about her three greatest wishes if she had access to a genie, which prompted an interesting response.

Santario dared Simon Kincaid to spend this round in darkness - well, the darkness provided by his own eyelids. He closed his eyes immediately, and started calling out to find his own assignment. Dan Palmer proceeded to lead the blinded Simon on a wild goose hunt in trying to locate him. When he was finally located by the blinded boy, he was dared to get a makeover or a wardrobe change.

"I think you were meant to give him a truth," came the Welsh accent of a Hogwarts student. The older boy would provide Dan with a truth in case he did not want to do the dare that Simon provided. "Have you ever cheated on a homework assignment?"

Milosh Renquist was asked by Dan Palmer about who he was most attracted to. The Durmstrang boy went on to dare young Cosmo Keith to mix up a bunch of the drinks provided by the lovely Head of Slytherin, then drink the concoction. If she did such a thing with actual potions, the result would be disastrous. After drinking her sugar-loaded Frankenstein drink, Cosmo posed a dare to Quidditch player Scarlett Aden. The girl agreed to add "pwetty pwease" to the end of all her requests going forward. And puppy eyes. Can't forget the puppy eyes.

Vivian Fletcher dared Dealla Prince to do forty squats. As the Ravenclaw completed her dare, she passed on a dare to Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin. Cassie could only communicate through pantomime until next round.

Scarlett dared Vivian to talk in an accent for the rest of the game. Vivian chose French, but her use of the accent prompted some scathing remarks from Kazuo. A conflict bubbled to the surface as people chose sides, but a certain Ravenclaw Prefect was trying to resolve it peacefully and point out any misunderstandings. Would everyone cool off in time for their next assignments?

iNPC Xeno Darkaz failed to post a dare and has been removed from the game.

Instead, a slightly older Hogwarts witch has approached Sarah Lightwood, claiming to have her as assignment. "I really like your hair, it's like a minty green! And mint chocolate chip is my favorite ice cream flavor... There's chocolate bars provided with the food, so your dare is to break them into pieces and stick them all over your hair for the duration of the game. You can use melted marshmallow to stick them, or find some other way to get them to stay."

Sarah dared Piper Clark to sing her words until next round, a challenge that the young Slytherin accepted. She would pose a truth to Kazuo Shimada in her singing voice, and learn a secret that he had never told anyone else before.

Kazuo had entered the game expecting silly dares and boring truths with the goal of maybe slipping in some pointed questions of his own. He hadn’t expected the complete lack of manners that had arisen from his decision to speak out about something that made him uncomfortable. That people might not agree with his perception he expected and had been prepared to ignore but to be physically attacked over it - by someone who hadn’t even been a part of the original dare no less - was beyond ridiculous in his eyes. His gaze was cold, his expression very serious as he watched Cassie, on guard for any other attempts at violence against his person.

He was a bit surprised when Santario chose to step between them, adding her own criticism of Cassie’s behaviour to his own. Her defense of him was unexpected and an interesting reaction. They didn’t really know each other and Santario really had no obligation to get involved. Perhaps her own experiences with accents gave her reason to speak up but to take an active and threatening position wasn’t necessary. It gave him some insight into her character and, if nothing else, that made the situation worthwhile. Her suggestion that they leave made sense. He abhorred violence and had no desire to continue playing with children who were incapable of restraining themselves. Yet it also caused a feeling of disappointment.

His gaze flickered to Milosh as the Durmstrang boy continued to involve himself in something that didn’t concern him. Having the gall to accuse him of trying to start a fight because he voiced his discomfort with someone else’s thoughtless actions? Telling him to get a thicker skin? Then following it up with a threat to attack him? Kazuo’s lips curled into a disgusted sneer. “Gizen-sha (hypocrite).” Kazuo snarled, knowing full well they wouldn’t understand him.

Dee’s involvement was a rousing attempt at pacification and part of Kazuo wanted to tease her for it. Maybe he’d tease her later, away from all these hypocrites and crybabies. He respected Dee enough to not want to cause trouble for her - not that he’d wanted to be put in this position in the first place - but he wasn’t the one who had taken things from a conversation to a confrontation. “Last time I checked,” he replied to Dee but his sneer was still fixed on Cassie. “A person stating they are uncomfortable with something is not considered a justifiable reason to attack them physically. I certainly didn’t mean harm. But I am very certain Cassie very much did. It’s rather hard to simply forget that and go back to playing a game. Who knows when she might try to attack me again.” There was an emphasis to Cassie’s name, an act of disrespect given that would probably be lost on the other students in his naming her by her first name and without the usual suffixes he tended to use.

As if there weren’t enough people involved, Vivan decided to jump in front of Cassie as well. Talking about how he was being rude? And trying to justify Cassie’s behaviour by saying that she didn’t actually connect? Was she serious? “My ability to dodge her attack doesn’t make it any less serious an offense.” He snapped at the girl. He’d been content to accept her initial apology and extend her an explanation as to why faking an accent could be a problem but he viewed her defense of Cassie as ridiculous. Cassie hadn’t even been a part of the original conversation.

Then it was back to the dare-giver, once again trying to justify Cassie’s attack on him by trying to turn it around and say he was being unreasonable for giving the girl a warning. He wasn’t the one attacking people. Honestly they were all too much. Ignorant, insensitive jerks. ”Urusai!” He snapped at Scarlett then repeated himself in English. “Shut up. Honestly. What a group you are. I speak out about being uncomfortable with something and your response is to prove me right in my assertion that you don’t give one single fuck about how your actions make others feel by attempting to attack and bully me. Well done. I applaud you all for your little show. Consider that the next time Cassie tries to slap someone, they might not stop at a warning as I did. And you.” He sneered at Cassie directly. “Stay far away from me or I will make good on my threat.”

With those words spoken, Kazuo turned on his heel and walked away.
Kazuo is leaving the game.

For the most part, Kaz expressed everything Santario was going to say, but that didn’t stop her from speaking herself more calmly. “First, you are mad about constructive criticism and education when you thought no one, but he was offended, and now you’re mad because someone of that culture was actually offended because my accent has been mocked before. Talk about hypocrisy. Oh, and if you used your eyeballs, perhaps you would have seen that my hand never touched my wand, but I will not allow a physical assault without trying to defend. You are the ones that blew it out of proportion when simply asked to reconsider your thought process. Literally ridiculous and absurd.”

Santario’s eyes moved towards Dealla. “I didn’t draw my wand for that reason, nor would I have unless she physically aggressed again. You know me enough by now. I apologize, but I will not remain with the group as if they are this hateful over asking for a courtesy who knows what they might concoct as retaliation, and in that situation, I cannot promise I would do the same as right now. It is best that I leave before they get hurt.”

It was not a threat if it was a promise. San was not a Prefect and did not care to hold herself to Dee's same standards. Unbeknownst to her, San would need to get that in check before the end of August. It was as simple as that; Santario turned and followed Kaz out.

Talking to @Simon Kincaid and @Dan Palmer
Cosmo watched the drama unfold in utter bewilderment. She had certainly seen arguments before, even with several people but this was something new entirely. Everyone crowded around Santario and the boy who had spoken up in the first place, each new opinion becoming more heated as the conversation continued. Cosmo did not want to get involved one bit, so she weighed her other options. Scarlett and she had been in the middle of a conversation, but Scarlett was otherwise occupied, as was Vivian, so Cosmo turned and decided to search for Simon, the only other person she knew here.

It didn't take long, he was off just a little ways away, in conversation with an older boy she hadn't met before. Cosmo walked towards him, glad to be away from the raised voices behind her. With a grin, she realised his eyes were closed fast, and it was too good of an opportunity to miss. Stealthy footsteps carried the young Gryffindor behind Simon, and with a soft 'boo' she nudged his shoulder with hers. The instinct had been to shove him, but she knew that when your eyes are closed it's much harder to stay balanced, so gentler option it was.

"Hey Simon," Cosmo greeted properly, "hello new person," she flashed a grin at the taller boy in front of her, "my name is Cosmo, were you the one who dared poor Simon here or are you on the receiving end?"

Simon had decided on two dares for Dan. Either get naked with another boy and switch clothes with them for the rest of the game, or have a makeover from a bunch of girls. Which would involve a pedicure, which would have multiple girls touching his perpetually bare feet.
Were Dan roughly 17, and several hot guys were doing it, maybe he would enjoy it. But as it was now, it was to be nothing but brutal tickle torture. He would have to ask the girls to tie him down first so he wouldn't accidentally kick someone's teeth out.

Both of these dares sucked. Especially since Dan had specified a truth. He was about to voice his objections about this, when someone asked him the truth he had asked for in the first place.

"Have I ever cheated on a homework assignment? No. No I've not."

The idea that he could cheat on his assignments had never even occurred to Dan.

Then, he saw Kazuo having an argument, and noticed what was going on. Evidently, someone had offended him, he voiced it, and someone attacked him?
But then, he did something very particular. He called Cassie.... Cassie. He knew Kaz was of Japanese descent, and his extensive weaboo knowledge let him realize how severe this was.
Kaz had called Cassie by her first name. You absolutely do not do that unless you are family, or close enough to be considered family.
Furthermore, he had purposely omitted an honorific after her name. As far as Dan knew, they were not very close. And even if they were, the ones who typically omit honorifics were parents, and maybe older siblings. Or married couples. Dan was reasonably sure that Kazuo and Cassie were none of those things.

While it wouldn't seem like much to most people, or wouldn't seem like ANYTHING to most people, Dan understood the severity of the situation, and in just how low esteem Kaz held Cassie at that moment. And.... It was scraping the bottom.

"Oi. Alla ye. Drop it. I dunno why the hell EVERYTHIN' fun haz ta devolve into magic caveman violence, but I'll not have it in a goddamn summer camp game. Yer already makin' two people leave, so ENOUGH. No more knee jerk reactions, no more attackin' people."

Christs sake. When DAN had to be the mature one, you were around some EXCEPTIONALLY puerile children.

Then he heard someone addressing him about Simon.

"Nah, I didnt dare 'im. If I had done it- Well, I'll keep that to me'self. But I'll say he wouldn't be walkin' 'round with his eyes shut iffit were my dare."
