The Great Tomato War
They say that in chess, the pawns go first, sacrificial pieces meant to test the dangers of the opposing barrage, to draw out enemy fire before sending in the less expendable assets. While the battlefield was bathed in red, Isaac waited outside the boundaries sizing up his competition. By doing so, he avoided the initial bloodbath and had time to find a good angle to enter the fray.
He considered a few things. The best way to minimise the risk to himself was a matter of psychology rather than strategy. It wasn’t prudent to go after the Professors, no matter how exposed they appeared to be. As witnessed, doing so would incur the wrath of their students. No, he had to choose someone else. An adversary so fearsome that others would hesitate to get involved in their duel.
@Howard White
There he was, pale and slender in the rays of the morning sun, half-naked and rippling with vampiric musculature. His skin had an oddly greasy texture to it, probably a tactical lotion he had applied to be more slippery in the mud. But above all, his striking eyes bore a ferocity that mildly unsettled the younger boy. He was terrifying. He was perfect.
Crossing the line that divided safezone from battlefield, Isaac began a forward approach on Howard with a water balloon in each hand. With his height and physical bulk, few would’ve guessed that Isaac was a full four years younger than his intended target. That was, at least, until his girlish voice echoed out across its limited range. It wasn’t very loud, but Howard and those currently engaging in battle with him would hear it.
“Hey you!” came his high pitched cry, a finger boldly pointed toward the fifth year Hufflepuff. His lips curled into a smirk, amused by his own etiquette on the battlefield. First, a warning shot. “Heads up!”
With his left hand pointed at his foe, this automatically reeled back his other arm - his dominant arm. Giving the water balloon a soft squeeze to test its firmness, Isaac planted his left foot solidly into the ground. His arm was arched like a bowstring, tension straining the length of his bicep. With a devious grin, he pivoted on his forward foot, twisting his hips, shoulders, and swinging his arm forward. The movement was similar to a baseball pitch, and it would send a rubbery, water-filled ball of death towards Howard.
A warning shot, that is.
Action:
Challenging Howard to a duel!
… and firing a warning shot at him!

Charles watched his tomatoe find threw the sky and collided into its target of the French girls shoulder. The white haired professor muse have has a good aim to for the French girl was dripping with water and tomato juice to the blonde's delight.
Charles sent her a smirk as the distraction severed perfect for a attack on himself and instantly he felt tomato juice on the side of his face, wiping off chucks with his hand as he whipped around and saw a set of red hair belonging to someone that was slowly annoying him more and more.
Scarlett Aden or red as he called her was there and apparently targeting him, unfortunately the fourth year wouldn't be taking a revenge on the girl. Cassie was a close friend of his and apparently also hers and in honor of her, he wouldn't be throwing anything at Scarlett. He wouldn't but no one said someone else would be.
"your lucky I care for Cass or you'll be tasting tomatoes Red," Charles shouted to the girl when another sight caught his eye and a rather odd thing happened. Charles Nako Alluring got a idea.
It wasn't that he wa a idiot or anything, it was just the blonde had never been strong in academics or grades or anything that involved books. His strengths were in quidditch and physical actives so coming up with ideas were a rarity for the boy.
He saw a familiar face whom he met twice before but he thought they had purple hair hit with a tomatoe by a younger blonde girl. Perhaps they could team up? Maybe if he got revenge for them then they could get revenge on Red for him and Cassie would never know. Nor would he be the one directly responsible for targeting the red head.
Charles smirked and made his way over toward them, lifting his hands a bit in the air as he spoke" I come in peace, as a alliance. Want to team up Phoenix," remembering that's what they said their name was when they first met and he was never told differently. Charles offered them a smile remembering they spoke Spanish as he spoke to them in Spanish, " we could form a good team, your strength is unmatched and far more better than anyone else here," thinking of his revenge on Scarlett when he saw another who he wanted to hit with a red pumped tomatoe.
Fellow Dumstrang and quidditch player. Nikita has arrived and the blonde wanted to throw a red tomatoe, staining her look but withheld himself. He would have his chance after he gained the trust and alliance of Phoenix Cassandra Ironwood unless they told him a different name to call them.
Charles picked up a tomatoe from the basket in front of them and turned to the hogwarts student as he spoke" first target will be for you in honor of this team," offering them a half smile as he took aim and targeted the younger blonde hair female and threw the tomatoe.

Starlee laughed loudly as the tomato she had thrown collided right into Cash's now, non-purple hair. The sticky tomato juices flew everywhere, coating the soon to be third year student. "Ha! I gotcha Cash!" she said, smiling in absolute glee. She giggled even more when Cash's water balloon collided with a nearby boy. Heck, even most of the attempted attacks seemed successful, leaving her and only few others completely dry.
However, her attack on one of her best friends was possibly something she would be regretting, as a blonde boy made his way toward the two, his hands raised as if in a surrender. Starlee fastened her grip one of the tomatoes she had gathered just in case it was a trick. Turns out, the boy was offering a partnership with Cash. He began to say a few things in Spanish, but Starlee couldn't pull much from her memory of her classes during her muggle schooling, or from the few words that Cash had told her, so she simply looked back and forth between the two expectantly.
Starlee watched as the blonde boy turned toward her, his arm taking aim. "Now hold on just one minute-" Starlee began to protest, but the boy now had it out for her, hoping to prove his alliance true. Well, Starlee would be having none of that, and, in an effort to save herself and her outfit from the sticky goop, she attempted to dodge his attack.

The Great Tomato War

The tomato squelching into the back of Theo's head elicited a rather satisfactory grin, one that heavily contrasted the black paint that obscured the majority of the upper half of Greta's face. There was little time for gloating, however. As soon as contact had been assured, the petite witch had scampered off, determined to make it difficult for the boy to discern from whom the assault had come. Darting into the thick of things, she sought protection in numbers. Was that a risk? Perhaps. Just as she had taken advantage of his diverted attention, there was a very real possibility that someone else might do the same to her.
Keeping her eyes peeled for trouble in the form of eyes and aims pointed her way, Greta dashed for a new tomato, arming herself anew and dodging left and right. Serpentine patterns! Treating the other players like the trees of the dense forest in which she played at home, she pattered in and out of the fight, putting as many bodies as possible between herself and the victim of her last attack. She'd keep out of sight and out of trouble for now. In a game of cat and mouse, most would assume her to be the latter. How wrong they would soon be proven to be, however.Actively dodging

As soon as the flag was raised, all hell broke loose. Well not literally. The green eyes heard battle cries and deranged laughter all around the field. It seems all the people that decided to joined this chaotic mess is having a good time despite being pelted with either tomatoes or water - filled based balloon.
The Beater let out a evil - like cackled when their projectile hit their unsuspecting victim perfectly. The balloon made an awkward thud against Xander head for a moment then the next the water - filled based balloon ruptured and pouring on top of the soon to be first year. Not a great way to introduced oneself to another but all fair love and war.
In this case it is a tomato war. But their cackled soon abruptly stopped when they felt a slimey tomato goop ran down on the side of the young Ironwoods's head. Cash whipped their eyes to search for the vile person who dare to hit them with a tomato. Cash took out the overripe chunk of tomato that was slide down on the side of their head and then throw it on the ground.
The slime now sticky on some part of their head and almost make Cash gagged at the smell but Cash took a deep breath and pushed the awful smell aside. When the joyous glee coming out from Starlee, they knew that the young blonde was the culprit behind the overripe tomato throwing. Cash smirked at that.
They do not have the heart to be a mad at Starlee but they do have the heart to retaliated against her. Now, Cash have three options for their next victims. They will either yeeted their water - based balloon to Charles, Nora or Starlee. The Cuban descendant looked down on their basket to picked the biggest and fullest water balloon to throw at.
Cash was ready to throw their next water balloon up on the air when someone approached them. The curly - haired boy known as Charles walked up to them as he lifted up his hand up in the air. He offered alliance and Cash could not say no to him. Cash cringed when the boy called them as 'Phoenix' but one of these day Cash need to like that name.
It is their first name, after all. Cash looked at the vast majority of people that either drenched in frigid cold water or tomatoes goop. "Sure"They reply to Charles in Spanish. At this point, Cash need a lot of alliance to win at this battlefield and from what they seen, Charles has good aim and strength. Charles also throw a compliment how Cash's strength was far better than anyone.
The green eyes let out a small chuckle. They did not wake up every morning to do their daily workouts and become a Beater for nothing. "I mean, did you not see this muscles?"Cash inquired the blonde boy jokingly as they flexed subtlety their bicep from the long hours they did of many many push - ups.
"And you are not so bad too, curly"They complimented the boy back. Charles then picked up a tomato from his basket. It looks like Cash was not the only one that think smartly as the other boy also picked a basket full of tomatoes. Cash smiled at the red fruits that is in Charles' basket. The boy then said the first honor would be in Cash's name as he throw a tomato towards Starlee.
"I guess you have someone that you want to throw that tomato at. Who is next on your list of revenge?"Cash asked the Durmstrang Quidditch player this time in English. Then an idea hit them. They will not let Starlee come unscathed let alone dry from this battle field. The young socialite then looked down at the balloon that they already had in their hand.
With that thought in their mind, Cash yeeted the biggest and fullest water balloon at Starlee. You will not come out from this field dry, Star. Not on my watch The green eyes said to themselves.

Zoë had been enjoying all of the camp activities for the month as she had met a plethora of new students and gotten closer with several of the professors which she had longed for since she first got hired in January. There was a part of her that still longed for her own bed, a long bath, and her more exquisite clothing but still she was glad she decided to come to this.
There was word that Eliseo had planned at Tomato War for the students and staff to take part in that day but that had seemed far too messy for Zoë’s liking as she had initially planned to stay in the cabin or sit by the lake while the onslaught began.
Hearing several of the students in her cabin rushing out as they loudly talked about the Great Tomato War, Zoë bit down on her lip as her inner selves argued amongst themselves. Would old tomatoes stain her hair? Her skin? She oddly didn’t care much for her clothes getting dirty as she had specifically purchased items for camp that she wouldn’t be crushed about ruining but still the prospect seemed horrifying.
Begrudgingly, Zoë got dressed in a pair of ripped jeans, a white t-shirt, and a brown and black flannel as she looked at her shoe choices grumbling at the cute ones she didn’t want to wreck. Her face contorted in frustration, Zoë ultimately decided with a pair of simple white sneakers as left the cabin before her thoughts could keep her indoors.
The commotion from the war, already in full force, drew her to the large open area as her eyes grew at the chaos of flying tomatoes and water balloons that appeared before her. Screams of terror and battle cries filled the area as she saw tomatoes impacting victims in a display of sticky onslaught.
Feeling her feet trying to race back to the cabin, Zoë stood paralyzed with fear as she looked down at her outfit wondering if she should have gone with a burlap sack instead. Exhaling loudly, Zoë slowly walked closer to the field as she noticed Caradoc throwing a tomato at Eliseo only to miss horribly as she let out a soft snicker.
Two other students expertly attacked Caradoc and while her initial thought was to attack Eliseo she could not imagine the precision at which he could throw a tomato and did not want to be his enemy. Figuring Caradoc to be a safe bet with the accuracy she had seen from him, Zoë made her way to one of the barrels as she stuck her hand in grimacing at the juices and soft skins breaking under her nails.
“What are you thinking Zoë…” She mumbled to herself as she finally picked a large tomato from the barrel making her way closer to Caradoc. Winding her arm up, the young woman felt a devilish grin dance across her face as she lined up her shot throwing the overripe tomato at the Hufflepuff Head of House praying she wouldn’t regret this spontaneous enlisting into the Tomato War.

@Henry Knight @Cassandra Ironwoods────── ☆ ───────Though some might perceive a war of tomatoes as an opportunity to get back at your enemies with some satisfying, squishy red projectile missiles, Scarlett found it much more fun to turn on her friends and backstab them. None of her rivals were on the battleground anyway, obviously too dignified to make an appearance at such a sloppy form of combat. Or maybe they were just too scared of Scarlett's skill with a tomato - yes, she much preferred that way of thinking.
After her talented little tomato had found its mark on the face on one Charles Alluring, Scarlett grinned wickedly and started to run. She didn't focus on avoiding any attacks at the moment, so she needed to get some distance between her and her probably vengeance-thirsting victim as to not be hit by a furious rebounding tomato. Regretfully, that meant she had only a few seconds to admire her work in the form of Charles's face splattered with a tomato. Though it wasn't too hard to move on - she had a lot more people to hit as the game progressed.
Grabbing another tomato, Scarlett willed it to have as much good luck as its predecessor. She then scanned the battleground for an unlucky target, someone to strike. Teachers, she could deal with later. No pretty boys were on the field as far as she could tell, and none of her friends were there except Charles - and he was technically a frenemy - and...and Cash! Scarlett hadn't talked with Cash in a really, really, really, really, really, really, really long time. It seemed very Scarlett-like of her to start their friendship off again with a tomato to the face.
"Heads up Cash!" she yelled in delight, as she threw the tomato, her weapon of choice slicing through the air.────── ☆ ───────

Cosmo didn't think anyone could possibly be as excited about the tomato war as she. Ever since learning of its existence she had dreamed of the day, this glorious, tomato filled Wednesday. It had taken a lot of digging around in her trunk, but eventually a pair of old shorts and a shirt with paint stains had surfaced, and that is what she wore today. Her hair was pulled back into two tight braids, as out of the way from flying tomatoes as possible, and all earrings and necklaces were stored safely back at the cabin. Cosmo was ready.
The battlefield itself was already a skirmish, with people soggy from water and tomato juices alike. She looked on in a healthy mix of fascination and horror, shivering slightly in disgust as a wet tomato hit a teacher right in the face. Never mind that now, there were people to throw things at. Cosmo rushed forward, grabbing a tomato and entering the battle borders to seek out a target.
A head of curly red hair stood out, and Cosmo recognised Scarlett from truth or dare, who was currently occupied by throwing a tomato at a girl with blonde hair. A mischievous grin spread across the young Gryffindors face as she lined up her shot. Three, two, one - "Hiya!" Cosmo called out, letting loose the tomato at Scarlett's back.

Ethen grimaced as his attack landed but not as accurately as he would have liked. He knew he should have trained more in his throwing ability instead of wasting time at classes. But it was too late for such concerns and there was a battle to win. At least he knew that he could count on Atlas to watch his back as he pressed the attack. Hearing his name called out from the girl, Ethen began to turn assuming that she needed some assistance…
What he didn’t expect was betrayal. The symbolic knife driven into his back, deeper than he could have possibly imagined. A tomato erupted on the side of his head spraying him with its juice. He was surprised that he could keep his footing from such a clean shot. But what wounded him more than the attack was the attacker. Dramatically, Ethen fell to his knees with a look of horror as he met eyes with Atlas. His unexpected foe and great betrayer.
It seemed that their friendship and romance were nothing on the battlefield. It seemed that Atlas was ready to slay anyone...including him. He could not imagine what madness had possessed her and driven her against him. Perhaps it was her plan all along. He couldn’t know for sure, but he did know that he wasn’t about to let her get away with such an attack.
Still peering at the girl, his look of pained betrayal shifted to a look of determined vengeance. Still, on his knees, and in a single swift motion, Ethen scooped up a chunky tomato and launched it at Atlas as hard as he could. “This will teach you what happens to traitors,” Ethen taunted as the tomato left his fingers. He knew that he was probably a sitting duck against retaliation but he didn’t care. He needed to make sure Atlas did not leave the field without being covered in tomatoes.

Eliseo had been doing what he could to just watch the chaos of the fight but he was determined to take his own chance at unleashing havoc on the combatants as well. After watching Caradoc’s pitiful attempt to slay him, Eliseo decided that he would allow the man the chance to live...not that his own kin seemed to share that decision.
Believing that Caradoc was well taken care of, Eliseo was extremely surprised to see the gorgeous Charms teacher out on the field and with a tomato in hand. This was just about the last place he imagined he would find the woman. Imagining her in pitched tomato combat just seemed absurd but he had heard that the woman could be a bit peculiar in her lessons. So maybe there was a more rough and tumble aspect to the woman that he had yet to fully see.
She seemed locked on to Caradoc and Eliseo considered pelting one of the kids. While he truly wanted to chuck a tomato at Zoë, he wasn’t sure he wanted the repercussions of attacking the woman. Even if they were together, he was pretty sure the woman would stop at nothing to get her revenge if he attacked her. “Give em’ hell, Zoë!” Eliseo called out with a chuckle.
Turning his attention to the field, Eliseo trotted over to the nearest collection of tomatoes and scooped on up. There was a young girl at a bit of a range that he only vaguely recognized as one of the visiting students. She seemed to be moving quite elusively as she travelled around the field and Eliseo loved a good challenge. Trying to anticipate where she would be, Eliseo hurled the large tomato across the field at young Greta as she moved. He had no idea if it would hit but he at least had the slight hope. And if not...he was still close enough to Zoë that he might take his chances at pelting her in the back.
