After walking around for a little while, Angélique would finally make her way over to the barbecue area. She mainly lived in the muggle world since her mother was a muggle and the muggle world seemed to suit her father more. Something she resented, but it did mean that she recognized this music and what a food truck was. She had eaten from a few of them in her time when she and her mother went out for girls’ days. Though that did not make her any less surprised that there was one on the grounds of Hogwarts. Then again, apparently, anything was capable of happening here.Open to interactions
She did not know anyone already there, which was not that big of a deal, but it would have been nicer if some of her other classmates had been there. It seemed like a lot of people came from most of the other schools besides her own. She recognized a few of her cabin mates, but that was about it at the moment. Angél would make her way to the food truck politely and order herself a burger and wait until it was delivered before moving on to grab a drink when her eyes found someone she knew. He had been her date in October, and she had been infatuated with him. They had not kept in contact, but she had expected that, to be honest. Though he had been the reason why she had decided to learn Russian. She was not completely fluent, but she could pass as a tourist in his country as least.
Seeing he was with another girl, she would wave at him on her way past him with a polite smile to them both. “Good to see you, Milo, you look well.” She spoke in his mother tongue and did not really wait for him to return the greeting, she was not in the game of stealing other girl’s boys, and she did assume they were together. Instead, she would find a table to sit down at that allowed her to see most of the area to keep an eye out for her cousin.

Bloom felt like everyone had settled in quite nicely. So far, from what she saw, everyone was getting along. But then again, it was only the first day out of an entire month of living with each other. Who knows what drama could brew up within a week. One thing was for sure, Bloom was glad that Milo remembered that she wanted to grab a bite with him.
She had asked him not necessarily because she crushed on him, but because he seemed really nice. And the amount of times he kept to himself reminded her of how she always had been. She felt it a great help to push him out of his comfort zone-- at least she thought that was what she was doing.
Bloom smiled when Milo asked her if she was ready to go. She was in jean shorts and a white tank top with sandals. She looked down at herself and shrugged. She was as ready as she would ever be. There was nothing else she needed. "Let's go!" she said, and she followed him outside of their Thestral Cabin.
The campsite was filled with food trucks. It was unbelievable how much food was available for them. She did not even know where to start. She saw that he already knew what he wanted and she followed him in line. It looked like BBQ was on the list, but also a burger. "Burger please!" she said, when they came up to the head of the line.
"You were drooling over Nate earlier no?"
Bloom looked at him and blushed. Her cheeks were so red and all she could do was chuckle to get rid of the burning sensation in her cheeks. "What?" she said, trying to deflate the thought. Within a few seconds, her face calmed down and she gave a sheepish smile. "I mean, maybe? It was just for a hot second... I mean... Have you seen him?" she said, trying to make it 'okay' to have a moment in finding someone attractive. Was it a crime? She decided to dish it back at him.
"Well come on, isn't there some girl in our cabin that you'd drool over?" she asked playfully. There were quite a bit of girls in their cabin and most of them were pretty.
Speaking of a girl, there was one that came up to them. She couldn't help to stare at her as she spoke a different language. It was one that she could not understand. "We're in the same cabin, right?" she asked, wondering why she would be staring at her. Maybe it was the fact that her presence was intimidating to Bloom, and she didn't know why. Perhaps it was the fact that she was gorgeous.

Marcus found himself humming along to the blasting music that Caradoc was playing as they cooked. After listening to the Hufflepuff's music all day, it really started to get stuck in your head. As they flipped burgers, put together tacos, and pressed sandwiches, Marcus found himself falling into a nice routine. Whenever he finished a plate, he'd pass it to Caradoc who would pass it to the kids, meaning he could keep the interaction with the children to a minimum.Interacting: @Hjørdis Jensen, @Caradoc Browne

A knock on the back door of the truck caught his ear even over the music, and he was intrigued when he recognized a rhythm to it. Oh. With a slight grin, the Hawaiian-shirted man took a few steps away from the cooking and opened the back door. He had not seen Nora for a bit considering he had only recently gotten back from Japan - he had extended his trip there from just a weekend in mid-July to the last couple weeks of the month. She looked like she was sporting a slight tan, probably from enjoying her summer.
"Well, hello, Hjørdis," he greeted with a smile. It wasn't often that he called her that - once in a blue moon really. He hadn't seen her in a bit and it kinda rolled off the tongue in this case. "I have a present for you," he said, seeing her expectant look at him. He turned his back on her to go into an ice box that was slightly different from the one that housed most of the meats and other food items for the truck. He reached in and produced a bottle, which he angled towards her to show the label. It was a sake that he had gotten in Japan, which he imagined would pair quite nicely with a campfire. "I heard the supplies here at camp would be sparse, so I thought I'd stock the truck," he said with a chuckle, referencing the fact that he heard that the adult cabins had been altered (the wine was removed) for the children to stay in. "There's wine, too."
He put the bottle back into the ice box, knowing the kids did not need a show of it. Returning to the edge of the truck, he sat down on the edge - slightly elevated above her. He would have offered her a hand to join him and Caradoc - but he had a feeling she would not appreciate the heat, overwhelming smells and blasting music currently going on in there. It was pretty chaotic, making an effort to serve all the kids what they wanted.
"I quite like the idea of being able to cook and eat whenever we want," Marcus answered, grinning at Nora's question. He did have a rather ravenous appetite lately, having gotten back into his training routine over the summer. "But I could do without having to serve the kids and blast music," he said.
Marcus noticed one of the part-Giant students - Quinn Healy - wave in their direction, and the Head of Ravenclaw offered a nod in return. The students at this school had probably never seen Marcus Iwasaki quite so relaxed - in both dress and demeanor. But he had already decided to focus on having a nice summer even if he did have to chaperone.
Maya Galim was the next to draw his eye by calling out that she didn't know he had it in him. That he should show this side of him more often. He shook his head with a grin, returning his attention to Nora. "Hungry? I think Caradoc's making you something." He looked over his shoulder to the other man dressed in a Hawaiian shirt. "You said it was something with halloumi, right?" he said, loudly enough that the blond would hear.

The teenage boy would approach the food truck, enveloped by an involuntary aura of calm, but as he was approaching the truck he would feel a slight unease that couldn't be helped. Though he wasn't sure as to why he felt it, so he chose to ignore it instead as he stared at the food truck, more importantly at Mister Browne and Mister Iwasaki and the third head of house present, Miss Jensen. This seemed to be a serious assembly, but the teenage boy was light-hearted nonetheless as he scanned the options available in the food truck.
He also noticed another adult in line waiting for their food, but knew their order had been received already and wondered if he could ask for something he would like. Alan had never eaten food that had been prepared in a food truck before, but was sure he could just order something right? He would slightly tilt his head as he looked at the options once again before nodding to himself slightly. "Mister Browne, could I please have a burger but without ketchup with a toasted bun and a side of loaded fries, preferably not spicy? And do you have a bowl of water too perhaps, for Tiger? I'd take some butter beer if that's allowed, if not some Iced Tea" he named his order, feeling just a little awkward as he stood there, Tiger trailing between his feet, threatening to jump onto the counter with how much he was eyeing it.
As the other professors were in close proximity, he would give all of them a friendly nod. "Good evening," the prefect murmured politely as he began to nervously and impatiently shifted his weight from one feet to the other and so on as he waited for the Hufflepuff head of house to receive his order. He would slightly tilt his head and stare at the Ravenclaw head of house, wondering if he had ever actually talked to the man, as he pushed past the feeling of unease and tried his best to not acknowledge it. He shook his head slightly to get rid off the thoughts as he focused on the food, he was starving as he hadn't been able to eat much but a few snack throughout the journey here, and of course the bit of chocolate he had allowed himself to eat in the cabin before this dinner. But he had been looking forward to this dinner, as he found burgers and BBQ just sounded amazing. He would also glance at Miss Jensen before remembering a very important question he ought to ask. "Did Jeger accompany you to the camp, Miss Jensen?" he asked curiously, knowing that the cat was a friend of Tiger and could possibly be a play companion. He truly hoped so, as he though the woman's cat to be adorable.

INTERACTIONS: @Quinn Healy
The girl had to admit one thing, this was certainly good food maybe even good enough to rival that of the house elves in the kitchens though she suspected they would personally take offense to that fact if they found out so Elena decided not to bring that up. "They should start a cooking class or something at this rate." The Gryffindor muttered to no one in particular talking mostly to herself. The idea in itself was not something she would be totally opposed to either or maybe it was the fact that the girl was so enthralled that the professors of Hogwarts possessed life skills aside from marking papers and presiding over the student body at Hogwarts, she had to give credit where it was due and as far as she was concerned, the two Heads of House manning the food truck had done an excellent job though she still was irking to know how by Rowena they had come by such an complicated Muggle vessel as she examined it taking in every bit and bob of the brightly colored truck noting it to memory.
Her moment of analysis was interuppted by someone saying her name and the brunette tilted her head to look at..Merlin, she felt small at this stage. She leant her head back to look up at the boy or perhaps even a adult at this rate if you asked her nodding her head in confirmation with a gentle smile. "That's me. And you are..?" The Gryffindor really didn't know what it was, recently, she had been running across these people who had by some strange circumstances seemed to recall her from somewhere or someplace and while that in itself wasn't a bad thing really, she felt guilty really because she couldn't place their names anywhere and Elena Jangleton was sure she would hardly be able to forget someone who towered over her by a good few feet. He defintely stood out from the rest as the female took a bite from her hot dog munching it down. "Sorry, I've ran across so many people that I'd be surprised if I remember half their names." She was better with memorizing notes and reading textbooks as it was, now if only there was a charm that allowed them to keep everything written to heart.
Here though, there was no academics, just fun and games and that was exactly how in the Gryffindor's book any sort of camp or end of year activites were supposed to be conducted. Granted, the term was about to start give or take a month but in a sense, Elena supposed this sort of resembled a celebration of sorts commerationg the conclusion of yet another year at this castle and with everything that was going on here, Elena felt happy that she had made the choice to come. "Where'd ya reckon they got that thing from?" The witch asked nodding towards the food truck still inquisitive by how the professors had acquired the thing. A vessel that seemed capable of producing food and music at the same time, it was like she was in some sort of weird dream except this was no dream. She was munching on food crafted by professors who had the cooking level of gods, she was talking to someone the size of two trees and not to mention the music that seemed to resonate from the truck without seemingly any source. It didn't make any sense to her but sometimes, that was a good thing in her opinion. Strange, but enjoyable.

Samuel wandered out of his cabin upon hearing the music blasting from the truck. His nose filled with the smell of a summer barbeque and he grinned to himself, it had been a very long train ride and he was starving! As he walked over to the truck and joined the queue he thought back on how busy his day had been so far, with the train ride to Scotland that you had to walk through a wall to get to, saying goodbye to his parents, and a cabin that only people staying there could see. If this was what the summer camp could offer he could not wait to arrive at Hogwarts properly in September, the inside of the castle must be a sight to behold.
He was brought out of his musings suddenly as he realised he was at the front of the queue, and the friendly looking man had just asked him for his order. "Oh, uh, can I have a hotdog and some lemonade please? And maybe some chips too?" He heard his mothers voice in his head disapprovingly. "And some carrot sticks?"
Once he had his food Samuel stepped off to the side and started to look around for somewhere to sit. He could see a few groups of older looking students hanging out with their friends, but no one that looked to be nearer his age. Then he spotted another younger looking boy sat at a table nearby. Taking a deep breath and trying to gather as much confidence as he could, he walked over to the boy and waved. "Er, hi, I'm Samuel, I'm going to be starting my first year here in September. Do you mind if I sit and eat with you?

As Colette walked away from her cabin and rag tag bunch of wards, she took a moment to look for Calypso in the woods. The Emerald Gazer seemed to be staying out of sight and out of mind, away from the general population, or “away from the loud noises and the rowdy children” as she put it. Having such a large reptile around a large group of people would only make a spectacle, and that was the last thing either of them wanted.
It did not take her long to find her, relaxing near some trees, basking in the last rays of the afternoon glow. Then again, they were never really apart for a long time, they always seemed to find each other. After an exchange of pleasantries, they took a walk before Colette had to return to camp. It always seemed bittersweet, their goodbyes, but this one was not necessarily a goodbye. The emerald gazer decided to stick around and hide somewhere close so that they could talk again later.
Walking away from the forest, Colette heard and saw the spectacle that parked in the grounds. A stark contrast to the well-aged sophistication of Hogwarts, a food truck full of vibrant colors and playing loud music was sitting in their picnic area. I was quite the sight to see, and Colette loved it. As she approached, she could see students scattered about, and a few familiar adult faces by the truck as well.
The Slytherin Head of House, and the Professor Galim, the Muggle Studies teacher stood by the truck, seeming to be in conversation with its occupants. As she approached, she could see that it was the unlikely duo of Professor Iwasaki and Professor Browne, in summer shirts and bandanas, looking almost as loud as the truck.
Well, at least they were going with a general theme.
Her ears perked as she heard Maya mention going out for a drink. “Hope you have room for one more, I’ve not had a good drink in a while.” She said as she approached, announcing her presence. “Hello everyone.” Her smile was small, coupled with a hint of mischief in her eyes. She was not entirely close with the older staff as she was only around for a short while, but she wanted to keep her casual relationship with her colleagues well-established. There seemed to be some tension going on when she arrived, but she did not know between who.
“Well this is certainly interesting,” She’d start, trying to make a conversation. “I haven’t seen one o’ these since I was in America.” She laughed, admiring the pain job on the truck - slightly gaudy, entirely loud, but just very fun all together. It hit her with a nostalgia trip of more carefree days, one where she did not have the responsibilities she had now. Then again, these were also days that she also got up to some troublesome activities, but they didn’t necessarily need to know that.

Mentions all professors outside the truck.
Walking through a forest with a pile of newspapers and blank paper in his arms was something he wasn't expecting a few months ago. For a while, Percival had been brewing up a harmless prank to pull on the teachers, way before he even applied for the prefect role. Even with his newly appointed role, Gray was determined to put the plan into motion. His plan was surely going to annoy some of the teachers, but who cared. A small graffiti act like this wasn't going to get him expelled, nor was it going to affect his role as a prefect. Although... something cheeky along the way wouldn't harm anyone.
Gray slowly came to a stop by a tree on the edge of the treeline, standing beside a miniature plastic table that he had found around camp as well as an ink and quill holder placed on top. He shot a quick look around the area and spotted that it was all clear, leaving him to get on with his work on the food truck. Carefully, he lowered the pile to the floor and picked up the light table, beginning to take it to the truck. However, at the back door, the sight of professor Jenson changed that plan instantly. Nonchalantly, he turned on his heels and walked back into the treeline. He put the table back down and hid behind the tree, staring unamused at the sight of his head of house blocking the objective.
With her standing there like a melon talking about boring teacher topics it was for sure going to take longer than expected, as well as be riskier too. Other teachers were also present beside her too, some that were even more strict than her. For now, all he could do was wait and observe their next move. Although, a crate hugging the back of the truck was for sure going to help him sling that paper over the top. All he needed to do then was find a way to attach it...
Oh, did he wish that he had thought this through more.

INTERACTIONS @Percival Gray ── THE OUTFIT─── MENTIONS the first years
Gradually, the new inhabitants of the Augurey cabin had cleared out to attend the barbecue. As much as Evelynn might have liked to have spent the evening stowed away with her nose in a book or simply observing the interactions of her new cabin mates, the growl of her stomach had forced her to depart the comfortable confines and seek gustatory relief. Barely even a few paces towards the gathering were needed before the tantalizing aroma of hot dogs and burgers and numerous other delectables wafted in her direction, provoking her to continue forward. Music made itself heard soon enough as well, and as she followed the guide of her senses, a food truck soon made itself apparent.
A food truck. It didn't register at first just how odd that really was. Clearly, despite having taken the length train ride to Hogsmeade and the self-guided carriages from there to here, she must still have been accustomed to life at home over the past month. Nobody would have questioned a food truck at a campground or fair. In fact, there might have been concerns if there wasn't one present. But this wasn't the muggle world, and the device was wholly out of place against the backdrop of the castle grounds. Surely they weren't actually cooking in there? Evelynn could only assume that the interior must be enchanted. Perhaps even linked in some way to the caste's kitchens. That or the House Elves were simply doing as they did best and circumventing the typical rules of no apparition on school property to deposit their cooking into the vehicle's interior and using it and the professors manning it to display and serve.
Never mind, came her conclusion as an uncomfortable growl rumbled through her core. Answers could be sought later after the mind had been nourished. Approaching ever closer, faces that were previously blurred and too far in the distant gradually made themselves known. What struck Evelynn almost immediately was just how many people seemed so unfamiliar to her. An observation that extended from her arrival at the cabin. She couldn't even be certain how many of those faces were due to the arrivals of foreign visitors. Several of the students in attendance were just so small. Had they been permitted to bring younger siblings, she wondered? Given that she had not attended the camp prior to her own induction as a first year—nor had she attended last year's camp at the stadium—it didn't even occur to her that these might have been new students coming into the school.
She wasn't permitted to wonder long, however. Movement in her peripherals caught her attention. Pausing midstride, Evelynn shifted her attention to see an individual emerging from the nearby treeline with a small table in hand only to halt and completely about-face to return the way he'd come. For anyone to emerge from the forest was enough to set off little alarm bells. There were a number of dangerous creatures and beings in the forest, including the hags, and it was not only ill-advised, but against the rules, to enter them. The individual wasn't tall enough to be an adult, and so she could only assume a student was up to no good. That, alone, had been enough to cause Evelynn's lips to draw taught into a thin line and her expression to set into one of mild annoyance as obligation veered her course away from the food she so desired and towards the conduction of her prefectorial obligation to ensure rules be followed.
It wasn't just the trespassing into dangerous territory, however, that raised flags of caution. It was the way the individual had exited only to return again. As though they'd thought better of something. Or perhaps forgotten something. As though they were on orders to complete a task and were getting cold feet about doing so?
Evelynn cut towards the treeline at a distance, doubling back a touch to enter at an angle that wasn't so near to where she'd seen the individual emerge. Not having entered the woods previously, her gaze darted frequently towards the direction of its heart. More than a little on edge about her own trespassing, she drew her wand and kept close to the edge, taking care to step cautiously so as not to break a twig and give away her position as she approached where she had seen the interloper. A few minutes would pass before she came upon him. Fortunately for her, his attention seemed fixed ahead, staring. At what, Evelynn didn't chance to look for. The identity of the individual now clear, she ducked out of sight behind a bush.
Percival Gray.
This, alone, was enough to make her wary. From his harassment of the first-year ravenclaw boy, to his intrusion at Hogsmeade and unsolicited company at the fair last summer, he had a knack for inserting himself where he didn't belong and causing trouble. She wouldn't have taken him as someone to work for the hags, but then again, neither were some of the others that had been revealed to be associated with them. Still, this was even more unusual than that. Between the table, ink, stacks of newspapers and parchment... he was certainly up to something. And exactly what, she decided she would find out. Retreating from the bush, she set herself up behind a tree, gave herself a once over and patted down any wrinkled in her attire, and approached.
"You're not supposed to be here.. Only freshly appointed to your new position, and already you're pushing the boundaries," Evelynn commented wryly, inserting a bit of dry humour in reference to the boundary of the Forbidden Forest. She made no attempt to veil her lidded gaze as it swept slowly over him and the objects he had in tow. "I would have little qualms in reporting you. What are you doing?"

"Well, hello there." Doc would smile at @Paige Grant as she approached the food truck. "Why thank you. What other stuff do you listen to?" he winked at her, continuing to bake some halloumi for a certain future customer (*coughs* @Hjørdis Jensen*coughs*) he knew was bound to come in sooner or later. "Let me know how I can help you out. We've got to make sure you're all fed well this summer. There's a lot scheduled to keep you and the other kids busy."
Another student approached, he believed he recognized @Elena Jangleton from one of the other houses. Gryffindor would have been his guess, but he never did keep up with faces from other houses much. "Where we got this beauty? A professional entertainer never tells his secrets, lassie." He grinned widely before looking back at his halloumi, which was by now ready to be served.
Which is when the backdoor opened up, and he heard her all too familiar voice. Some other children, such as @Alan Vanes chimed in before he could get to the party in the back, though. He wasn't sure what @Marcus Iwasaki's job was around here, but clearly he needed a little reminder that he wasn't being paid per flirt rather than per plate (he wasn't getting paid for this at all to be fair).
Slapping his spatula on the man's buttocks, Doc would switch positions with Marcus. "Hello there, Jensen. A little birdman told me you might be hungry." He smirked as he presented her plate. It wasn't a Marcus at all that had told him, Nora had only just arrived. Doc was actually impressed with his own punctuality as he presented the halloumi freshly prepared.
Noticing Maya Galim in the back, he smiled and nodded his head. "Maybe when I'm done after dinner." He added before greeting @Colette Simmons as well. "If you're familiar with foodtrucks, I'm sure Marc could use an extra pair of hands in there." He pointed back inside with his thumb as his smirk grew a little too wide.
