OOCReducioHello, I hope you are doing well. How are you?
GreetingsTristan silently strode his way towards the Ancient Runes classroom, pondering his future and the numbness he perceived it would bring. Today, he was as cold as the mask he wore, hiding his true nature. Today he was a Slytherin pureblood, manipulative and ambitious. Because without a mask all the cracks would appear, showing him fragile as a porcelain vase. Edward had perished today, two years ago today. Though Tristan was only the age of 12, life’s hardest secrets had already been revealed to him. Death would be only a matter of time till it’s coming and there was no remedy for it.
However, now was not the time to be sentimental. For sentiment is only for the lost. With a heavy heart masked by the smirk on his face, he looked forward to being acquainted with a professor he was sure to have next year. He knew her name of course, Professor Lydursdattir. He contemplated whether her name indicated her heritage. The name was quite indicative of Norse origin after. He was quite fond of their legends after all, he had always thought of himself as quite representative of Loki. Truly, he had indeed been called worthy to be a prince after all. Once he reached the door of the classroom, Tristan rapped the door three times, and called out
“Hello, Professor Lydursdattir” Tristan had never seen her in person and did not know how she would react, but he schooled his features into a face worthy of Loki himself. It was a smirk that was friendly yet hinted at some mischievousness. Tristan had come here of course because Ancient runes brought a form of fascination to him and if he could admit it a form of enjoyment. He was ready to learn and he desired to meet the professor soon.

@Tristan Theramin
Still, she could not sit for a long period of time, she regularly had to stand up and stretch her old legs. "Come Einar, time to go for a walk," she said with a cheer in her voice, as she clutched her walking stick. She decided to breathe some fresh air and enjoy a little cooling down in the rain.
Without her cloak, just wearing a leathery brown dress without sleeves but with a hood, she left her office. Her fingers trailed the stone wall outside of her office in search of a certain sign embedded in it. Just as she found what she was looking for, a muffled voice made her stop. She wondered, if she had misheared. Finally, she realized that the door to her classroom was wide open.
"Curious."
She walked around the tower with the narrow stairway in the middle and entered her classroom. Every step was accompanied by a loud cling.
"Hello?"
At first, she thought that she was simply mistaken and that she had once again forgotten to close the classroom. But then she saw a figure on the other side of the classroom.
"Hey, child, do you need something from the storeroom?" She pushed her walking stick on the ground and the candles started to light up so that she could see better. In front of her was a blond boy, or so she thought. "Oh, hello. Can I help you?" She eyed his attire. Normally, when she met students, they wore their uniforms with the funny looking crests. She could still not remember which crest represented which. This child, however, looked as if he wanted to visit church.
"No classes on Sunday, but if you want to talk with me, we can go to my office, if you want?"
Ahe pointed in the general directed behind her, where her office waited.
Another rainy Sunday. Another evening of potential serenity. Béatrice stood at her window and watched the rain drip down from the glass. She currently took a break from grading the assignments from last week. She had let her fifth year write about the Minoan culture and so far she was amazed about the detailed researches her students had presented to her.OOC: I created a thread and merged your initial post.
You describe how you enter the classroom and then knock on a door. What you can't know is, that her office is not connected to the classroom. It is a separate room opposite of the classroom. The tower is not big in diameter, at least the inner one. This is what I established in my lessons which, as I said, you can not know. But since you were detailed about your way of walking, I adapted.

OOCReducioHello, I hope you are doing well. How are you?
Greetings“Professor Lydursdattir, my name is Tristan. It would be wonderful to talk. I’m a third year student and I am very interested in Ancient runes. Although, I’ve always wanted to learn more Norse runes than these because I’m fascinated with the mythology of Loki.” Tristan slowly replied calmly. Though he was brimming excitement. He was indeed very knowledgeable in the mythology of Loki and often was interested in the muggle version of them. His fascination of them perhaps came from the inner pain he had and his interest in muggle films of all things. However his interest in ancient runes also came from the fact that Tristan , though he wouldn’t admit it, was an erudite. Imagination and learning were the things keeping him sane after the death of his friend. He had dedicated himself to learning far more than familial relationships, often announcing caring was a disadvantage in order to hide behind a facade. Though love did come easily to him, it was better than being hurt once more. He wondered also whether the Professor was from Nordic descent after all the surname suggested it.In the Norse culture, the last name of the child was the father’s name and whether or not they were a daughter or a son after all.

The boy at the doors
Surprised, Béatrice stared at the boy, who just stood there in the middle of her dimly lit classroom. She had to pinch her eyes in order to see some of his facial features, while he mumbled something about Loki, which made her wonder.
"Uhm, if you want to talk, I'd suggest we need a little bit more light," she gestured with one hand in a wide circular movement, "because my classroom is usually not used after lessons."
She put her walking stick down in one swift punch and the docents of candles that stuck to the wooden beams in the ceiling starting to glow brighter. Slowly she made her way to the front, where she usually sat. "Please, take a seat. You can choose a chair, but be sure to take it back once you leave."
While she passed him, she eyed the boy now from up close. He had said that he is a third year, but to her, he looked like a second year. He probably already was referring to himself as third year, although the school year has not yet started; the old wasn't even finished. Young people can't wait to be adults, she thought disappointed.
When she had taken her seat, she once again tried to start a conversation. "Now, please, in a coherent manner. How can I help you? You like runes, that is great, so my guess is that I will see you next year in my first lesson for third years. And you like Loki, which is odd but still, I support whatever makes you happy. But what does one have to do with the other?"

While Béatrice waited for an answer , she mustered the boy. She was still unsure if he even had heard her or if he just didn't want to sit down.
Her legs, however, were not as youthful as the boy's. She shifted her seat and leaned with her upper body against her walking stick. During her life she had learnt to be patient, and to be understanding if people would not find the right words immediately. She herself knew what it was like to not know a language and to simply be unable to communicate. The boy in front of her, however, has proven to be able to speak English.
A few minutes passed, during which he just stood there, in the middle of her classroom. Both looked at each other in silence, until Béatrice took a deep breath and stood up.
"I don't know why you came here. First, you enter my classroom without permission and then you don't have the politness to talk. If you excuse me, I have homeworks to grade and essays to read."
She stepped aside and pointed at the door. "Would you return to your common room, please, I will lock the door to my classroom after you leave."
