Gloomy Days
Another day, another story, exams were one of the most stressful time in Hogwarts, most students were inside, trying to find a way to calm their nerves after the unending hours in which proffesors watched over them as they tried their best to finish their work.
Aldor had almost no problem with exams, they weren't easy, but he didn't feel scared or worried about his grades, he did study after all, there wasn't a reason to believe he would mess up this time. Today, he was walking along the narrow paths of the Grounds, he seemed to be heading to the Great Lake, but he was walking rather slow, the cold and the wind seemed to be clearly warning about a storm, but he didn't really pay attention to it, Aldor was specially bothered by something today. He looked a little sick, paler than usual, he was eating less each day, but he always pretended he was fine, but taking a closer look at him would reveal the reality about his health.
Maybe it was the fact he didn't spent much time with his friends lately or maybe it was just the atmosphere that didn't help to keep the Hufflepuff cheered up, it wasn't that easy for Aldor to keep his head up, considering how bad things were currently going, his best friends seemed worried and distant, and he was also having some trouble concerning a few letters he received.
First, there was a letter from the people who he got used to calling the 'Opaleye', they seem to be always watching, given the fact that the letter congratulated him about how well he did in the exams, he didn't tell anyone about his grade so that could only mean that someone was very close to him, this made him terribly paranoid, it was starting to feel like he couldn't trust anyone.
And the other letter was from his father, apparently everyone was fine, his three siblings at the very least, his mother, she was gone. He could not understand how a woman her age could simply vanish, it made no sense. Aldor didn't have a good relationship with his mother, after all, she was the one who decided to give Aldor away as soon as possible, but his father was worried about her, he got extremely sick after she dissapeared, and this was something Aldor was worried about.

Outfit minus bagInteracting with@ Aldor HumbleglowWandering the whole school was the only thing she had planned for today. Being Spent most of her time in indoors during Exam days, she strained herself in worry, tension and stress. How much ever she studied, she wasn’t satisfied with it, Even after finish writing her exams. To distract herself, she started to stroll around the places there. Well, that was the only way she could calm herself as she had nothing else to do. No exams, no homework, nothing to study, what else she can do other than going for a walk? She walked as her eyes glancing at the sky every now and then, it was really peaceful to look at.
The most problematic thing, more than the exam result, is that she has to go back to her home in just a few days which she didn’t like at all, not even an inch. No, maybe a little, she wanted to see her mum but she knows that she was going to spend very little time with her. After having so much fun here with her friends, after making so many memories, it was disheartening to think about going back there just to have a lonely, boring days. Even if it’s just for two months, she didn’t want to. The two months would feel like two years if she gets back.
It was so relaxing until the sudden strong rush of wind making her wire straight hair blocked out the sight and slapped her in her face,” Ouch! Oh gosh!”, she pushed her hair away harshly from her face in annoyance. She wanted to tie her hair now with a rubber band or hairpin but unfortunately didn’t bring one with her. Not wanting her hair to slap her once more, she clutched it together with her hand as she glanced around the grounds and that’s when she noticed.... Aldor? How come she didn’t notice him till now? “Al-Aldor” as she was sure that her voice cannot be heard because of the noisy breeze, “ALDOR!” as she sprinted towards him. Her voice broke from running fast, “Hi Al” smiling at him as she gasped for breath. Furrowing her brows, “Why.... you look... paler today?- I m- mean, more than normal” as her hand again went to hold her hair.

The boy turned to face his Hufflepuff friend, he smiled, but inside, he was feeling terrible, now that she was up close, she could see how unhealthy he looked, bags were starting to show under his eyes, his skin was losing the glow it had when they first met, he didn't even care to fix his hair anymore, All he did was taking a hair tie and wrapping his hair in a small bun in the back of his head, this also made his sick appearance pop out a lot more. Today he was wearing his old, unbranded grey hoodie and black jeans with ripped knees, in other words, what he was always wearing.
''Hey Vivi- I am alright don't worry, it's just that I haven't spent time out in the sun lately.''
He was lying, he has been taking more time to go for walks, but it was only on days like this, when the sun seemed to be hidden and the weather was cold. He wished he could be better at pretending, but it was very obvious how unhealthy he currently was.
''Uh, What about you? W-we could sit down and talk.''
The kid kept smiling as he waited for his friend's response, he wasn't exactly an expert when it came to interacting with his friends, but Vivi, he didn't quite understand why she decided that being friends with Aldor was a good choice, he was not really that interesting, or at least he didn't think so, but he liked Vivian, it was nice to spend time with her every once in a while, even though, they didn't really have any 'serious' talk before.

He was lying, he has been taking more time to go for walks, but it was only on days like this, when the sun seemed to be hidden and the weather was cold. He wished he could be better at pretending, but it was very obvious how unhealthy he currently was.

Outfit minus bagInteracting with@ Aldor HumbleglowVivian believed Aldor’s story, it was the same in her case, she wasn’t able to spend more time outside during the exams. And it was a relief that the exams got over and she’ll be able to spend more time outdoors. But all that would make someone look so pale? She didn’t know, maybe he didn’t sleep well. Nodding as Aldor replied, “Maybe... the exam stress would’ve caused it all” as she replied with her tilted to one side. It was neither a statement nor a question but was something between them. With a concerning smile, “I think... you have to sleep well” says who? The one who never had a good sleep in recent times advising her friend to sleep well.
“Uh... Yeah sure” she smiled at him as she sat down on the grounds. Talking to Aldor was always so pleasant for Vivian, she doesn’t know if she’s an introvert or not but with her shy nature at first, it was so awkward to strike up a conversation with another shy person like Al but somehow all the awkwardness was now gone and it was so easier to talk to him now. Looking at him “So? How did you do your exams?” she smiled.

Aldor sat by her, staying silent for a bit, thinking about what Vivian said, she was absolutely right, he barely slept at night nowdays, he was simply unable to sleep, to a kid his age, this was very stressful, he couldn't just find what was messing him up just yet, but at least Vivi was here, it helped him to feel a little bit more calm.
''I think I did well, it was sort of fun to study for Astronomy this time, what about you, did you find them easy? ''
The boy tried his best to relax, getting to the point in which he decided that he would lay down, turning on his side just a little to be able to remain facing Vivian, ocassionally turning his eyes away to look at the grey clouds above them.
''By the way, how come you are out on a day like this?- It's really cold-''
He reached for the back of his head, taking off the hair tie and letting his hair flow a little, he was finally able to stay focused on the conversation, it was easy to forget how stressed he was, at least now that he had a topic to talk about with Vivi, he appreciated her, a lot, even though he didn't talk to her as much as he talked to some of his other friends, she had something different, he didn't quite know how to explain it yet, but at the very least, he knew that they got along well, and that was more than he could ask for.

Outfit minus bagInteracting with @Aldor HumbleglowLooking at the sky “I did... well- but not so good” she said. Vivian was not so confident with her grades, how much ever she has studied, she wouldn’t think that was enough. She would spend all her time rereading the same book, even if she gets bored but she wouldn’t get bored at all rather she would worry that nothing’s getting inside her head but that’s not true and she never realised it before the exam result. Not wanting to talk more about exams and stuff, she didn’t say anything more about exams and studies.
Vivian was so tired of walking around. stretching her legs out, she placed both her hands on the ground by her side and relied her balance on her arms as she looked up at the sky as Aldor laid down and started talking. “Yeah it’s cold but it feels so nice to me” she started as she closed her eyes in contentment as the cold breeze blew past her.
Smiling at Aldor “I love spending time here, I feel like... all my worries have vanished when I am here” she continued dreamily as she gazed around. It was true, tho her most favourite place is owlery, this place makes her forget about all her worries and that’s what she liked about it the most. No matter how cold it was, she liked being there.

''You are right, it is really peaceful out here, well- at least when it's empty like today, I usually avoid walking around here because of all the weird couples that sit under the trees and talk about how much they love each other, it was specially nightmareish in Valentine's.''
Aldor cringed a little just by thinking about it, but then he chuckled and smiled softly, he was clearly joking when he said it was weird. He stared at Vivi's hair, he remained silent, thinking for a few seconds, noticing the wind was being a bit annoying considering that it was pushing her hair back and forth, gently, he opened his hand, offering Vivian the hair tie he took off a few seconds ago.

The tie was a light purple color, getting closer to lavender, it was still stretchy, probably because Aldor did not use it often. It was a little strange that someone who enjoyed darkness as much as Aldor did liked to wear colorful things like that.
After a while of spending time with the irish kid, it was easy to realize that he was the sort of person who had many sides, not in the meaning that he was a liar and he was evil, but in the meaning that he was interested in too many things at the same time, two of which were dark, punk like clothing and cute colorful outfits, sort of what most muggles called a 'Pastel Goth', minus all the piercings and other fancy things that Aldor just didn't feel like getting.

Outfit minus bagInteracting with @Aldor HumbleglowGlancing at Aldor when he started speaking “Weird couples....”she chuckled looking up at the sky. Not able to control her chortle, she continued in between her laugh “You came here on valentines!? Why?”. Valentine’s Day was not like other days, being single, not even knowing anything about love, it was tough to see lovers throwing cheesy comments at themselves and melting like ice. It was not that she hates love or lovers but it was surprisingly so annoying during that one particular day and seeing people confessing their love was unbearable. “The only day I hate going outside is....” she winced “... Valentine's day” she completed as she shook her head.
Her hair was the only thing that annoyed her that time, it was so thick making her feel that someone was slapping her. Trying to hold it with her hand was not working, rather her arm started to pain, it went back to its former position leaving her to just get beaten up by her hair. Grinning when Aldor lent her a band, “Thanks, Al!” she reached her hand to get it. Ponytail wouldn’t work now, as she started to plait her hair “I forgot to bring mine, I’ll return this later” she mumbled.
Her plans were to avoid going to her home but she knows that’s not going to happen and signed, “I don’t have any plans” she pouted looking at her fingernails dreamily, “I am looking forward to summer camp” she smiled.

''Ok, ok, listen, I know it was an awful idea, but I thought it would be a good idea to go to the lake since NOT even the Common Room was safe from couples.''
Aldor paused shrugging, as he as he twisted his poker face into a smirk.
''The lake was even worst, I am not even going to talk about the library, which at that point was a kissing booth, in the end, I just stayed in the dorms hidden under my blankets, I am still scarred by that day. So yes, I agree, I do not enjoy going out on Valentine's either.''
The boy shook his head dramatically, as he allowed himself to let out another quiet laugh. He didn't have any sort of hatred towards the people who spent time with their couples, but he just did not feel comfortable with them, no matter how much effort he put into trying, he was unable to, this was probably related to how uncomfortable he felt once he found out the first girl he liked was into someone else, he didn't take any of this seriously of course, he was just a First year, and he was sure that he wasn't cute or interesting, eventually, he knew that things were going to take the way they were supposed to.

Outfit minus bagInteracting with @Aldor Humbleglow“Haha, it’s not that I hate them or uncomfortable.... it’s just- you know? On that particular day...” she shrugged, shaking her head, “I can’t” she flinched. It was so irritating to walk alone on that day, wherever her eyes go, there would be a couple and yeah, she had an option, if she doesn’t want to see them, she can close her eyes while reaching her destination but it would probably break her bones and be admitted in the hospital wings but she doesn’t want that to happen.
Nodding as she looked at Aldor when he replied, “If there is, I am definitely going to join the camp” she said as she played with her hair. There was no reason for her to spend time in her home, she knows she’d be so lonely when being there. Nothing’s going to change in a year, or at least her mom’s busy schedule wouldn’t change, that much she knows. It was better to be here than her home, and she never hated being here, at least till now. “If you join, at least I’d have one friend there” she smiled at Aldor. Her best friend was probably not going to join as she had so much to do in the holidays, unlike Vivian and the blonde knows she’s going to miss her but that’s okay, they can meet again after the school reopens.
Signing, “What’s your plan for the summer holidays?” she asked as she lied down on the ground, her body tired after walking so long and just sitting doesn’t seem to work.
