Stars in the Sky PV: Henry Llewellyn Closed

Relief flooded over Nicholas, it seemed he'd managed to avoid putting his foot in his mouth for once and hadn't accidentally stepped into the realm of blood supremacy. He knew that certain muggleborn wizards were rather touchy about the subject, well he didn't know personally, but he'd heard rumours, well perhaps he was more familiar with the stereotype, in any event, he was happy that he hadn't entirely botched the interaction. Instead, the redhead seemed somewhat amused by his hasty apology, a few laughs exiting his mouth. At last, the Irish boy felt properly at ease.

He hadn't considered what it must have been like to be thrust into the world of magic, after all, growing up it had always seemed so commonplace. But he supposed that to Henry witnessing his first charm was probably much the same feeling as when Nicholas came face to face with a piece of engineering or technology, something utterly alien and fascinating. Which was exactly why Nicholas turned an inquisitive eye to the catapult and how it was constructed as Henry explained the same, the brunette boy nodding along with the explanation. Truthfully, a lot of it was rather lost on him, but the general gist of it made some sense. The band was pulled taught then snapped back to its normal state, sending the arm of the machine up and launching whatever had been placed inside of it.

"Brilliant," He spoke as Henry pressed the button.

"I'd never even have thought to put something like that together," He shot a sideways grin of his own toward Henry, "Almost makes you feel sometimes like the wand is a crutch."

Nicholas crouched down, far more relaxed than he'd been not a moment earlier, as if all his worries had rather quickly faded away. Such was the fickleness of youth.

He shot another smile at Henry, and met his blue eyes, "Mind if I have a go? Firing the stars I mean."

Nicholas was positively excited by the concept, he wasn't particularly gifted with his wand and the idea of being able to make up for that using mundane means had him more giddy than he'd like to admit. Besides, even setting aside his rationalisations, the catapult looked fun and that in itself seemed to be worth more than anything.
