Opeila had first wanted to exclude the corridors as locations to hide riddles, mainly because there had been a little error in her thinking. The young Slytherin had forgotten that she wouldn't have to worry about students going in and out of class. During the weekend. But when she realized that, she had decided to throw out some of the weaker clues and create at least one for the corridors. This specific one had been placed openly on a window sill, easy for the group to find.

The young girl was truly interested whether the Dorea Potter team would be able to solve this clue, as it was one of the few number riddles she had made. Personally, she would probably have trouble with those, but, truth be told, she was for sure not the most intelligent person around either. And if her housemates made it this far, they would probably solve this one as well. They were almost there...

It was their final clue. Opeila had seen that the last clues brought the stress of some teams to a new level, as they had no idea how far the other teams were. They would simply have to see...

The group has hurried from the library in search of their next clue, shoes clicked and pounding against the stone floors like a mini stampede. Honestly, Illowy was praying to whatever beings there may be that they weren't way off base, nor that they would have to run around this entire bloody school trying to find a little envelope. The question had been so broad and vague, there was so much room for error, and with the level of competitiveness she was reaching, the room for error was getting smaller and smaller. She wanted to win, and she was confident that they could. However, she was worried they might loose speed over this question. After all, there were miles of corridor in this school, with thousands of possible places one could place such a thing, and they were scurrying against the clock to try to beat the other teams. How far had everyone else gotten? Had someone already beaten them? There was no convenient way to know, not without doddling about, waiting to come across some other team and chit chat.

Nope, it certainly wasn't worth wasting the time for it.

Thankfully, they hadn't had to go too far when they finally spotted the blasted thing, patiently awaiting the girl on a window sill in plain view. Bless!n she thought as they unsealed their next clue... wait, what in the...

Did this even count as a riddle? What was with all the numbers?? "Gods and Spirits on high..." she muttered, looking at the cluttered numerical sequence on the card. Maths weren't exactly Illowy strong point. She was well enough to know what she needed to get by, but it certainly wasn't a conciderable talent. Bridget, who honestly probably had more of a head for these kinds of matters, seemed to think it might've been a math problem as well, starting to work it out, but to no avail. It just didn't seem to follow a mathmatical patters. Not an obvious one, anyway.

Illowy just stared at the thing, trying to make sense of it, trying to find any possible pattern it might offer. The numbered just seemed too random and jumbled for her to make right or left. Were they years? Maybe the first three could be, but there was nothing in the card, or previous clues that would suggest that... no. No that wasn't quite right, it couldn't be years. It didn't seem to align with any sort of measurable time; or measurable anything really.

Slowly little patterns were starting appear to her. There were little hints here any there, like how there was no digit higher then nine. Some combinations seemed to repeat themselves or fit together, like it was one number within a set; and if her eye wasn't failing her, the pattern sticking out to her of combinations never seemed to exceed twenty-six. The pattern was revealing itself. They weren't look at '20181516825' as the entire number, it was '20' '18' '15' '16' '8' '25', joined as a set.

"What if its a cypher? Like... like an alphabetic cypher?" she suggested, anxiously digging through her pockets before finding one of the sad, stubby remains of one of her beloved drawing pencils. Seating herself in the window sill and bending over the clue card, Illowy got to work scribblings and scrawling her thoughts on the card, forming her key before trying to solve the puzzle. For a moment, she fell into a trance of letters and numbers, pales eyes flickering up and down the paper as her pencil scratched away before finally spelling out the words :

'GO TO THE TROPHY ROOM'

"That's it!" she grinned, underlining the phrase with a sharp stroke of her pencil, "Its the trophy room! That's just up on the next floor." Illowy had always thought of herself as being rather smart, but never clever. Cleverness had always been Kyle's thing. This challenge certainly seemed to draw that out of her. It drew it from everyone on their team, forcing them all to look at these strange puzzles and problems from different angles and think in ways unlike themselves, and to do it together. Talk about a team building exercise.

Going to the Trophy Room!

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.
