Blossom Ball - Spring Festival
As Haley stood there on the dance floor, swaying with Simon to the beat of the music and blocking out the chaos around her, a feeling spread through her. Not just a feeling, it was a pleasant warmth that flowed through every vein in her body. She felt good, it was as if everything was spinning but at the same time time was standing still. She was more aware of the bright lights around her than she had been before, but at the same time she formed tunnel vision and all she could see was the boy her gaze had been on all evening, Simon Ezra Kincaid.
Haley's heart skipped at his words. It was like she was melting like an ice cream on a warm summer day. When she felt his soft kiss on the back of her hand, it was as if her whole body was tingling, as if that was all she needed to survive. Her feelings exploded, but not in a negative way. Amortentia showed its full effect, amplifying the feelings that were already dormant in her.
She smiled broadly, as broadly as she ever had, if that was even possible. Her heart beat faster and faster as she listened to Simon's words and looked at him in awe.
"YOU are perfection." She spoke and gently took his face in her hands. Her eyes glanced back and forth between his while she was silent for a moment. "And you are all I need." She spoke softly now as she continued to look into his dark eyes. She would do anything for him. She would fight for him, here and now. She would always stand behind him and have his back. She would give her life for him, she would even give her blood for/to him. She would kiss him. Of course she would and her gaze now switched from his eyes to his lips.
But before she would have placed her lips on his, another feeling suddenly arose in her. His last words triggered a stabbing in her chest. She could not be separated from him, how could she survive? He was her secret keeper, partner in crime, her everything. How was she supposed to get through one day without what she needed to live.
"I can't be apart of you." She whispered now in a shaky voice. She felt bad, like it really was the end of her. "Please." She looked at the floor now, tears gathering in her eyes. But she didn't let go of the sadness, no, she had to find a plan. And she already had one.
"You know I've already invited you to visit us. We could just extend it, then we wouldn't have to be apart. You can bring Maggie, whatever. The main thing is that I don't have to be without you for a day, my love."
And with these words she stretched up on her toes and gave him a gentle kiss, as if her life depended on it and she didn't want to break contact any more.

When the kiss softly ended, he opened his eyes to look into her green ones as his mind desperately raced to find an answer to this awful dilemma the two had of being parted come end of term. "Maybe we could talk to Headmaster Lear. Maybe he could extend Hogwarts to being year-round. Maybe he could dissolve the house system and we wouldn't have to be put in seperate houses. Down with the four house system, it's nothing more than segregated fabrication!"
The likelihood of that seemed very slim and that worried him. "Or maybe Aunt Maggie could sell the house in South Kensington and we too could move out to the country. She could talk to the neighbors of where your new home is and we can buy it and spend all our time visiting each other." Even then they would sometimes be separate though with different houses.
Always different houses, whether at school or home. How could he possibly be with her every single moment of every single day?
"We need....we need...." he paused, trying to think. "We need something that will forever bind us together as one. We need a formal union of our lifelong commitment and it needs to start soon. No, it needs to start NOW!" he looked around for a moment at all the others there, just barely glancing at them before reaching out for Haley's hand. His hand stopped at her grandmother's ring, a silver ring of a snake that wrapped around her delicate finger. Her lovely delicate finger. He slipped it off.
"EVERYONE, CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION?" he said loudly as he jumped up ontop of a nearby table, not worrying if he knocked anything over. "I HAVE A PROCLIMATION TO MAKE!" and he began as loudly and boldy as he could.
"I, Simon Ezra Kincaid, am the luckiest guy to have ever graced the corridors of this Castle. You see, little did I know that an entire world would be bestowed upon me, a world full of wonder, a world full of excitement, a world full of magic, and a world full of love. Hogwarts has given me so much but none better than that of the love and trueness of Gryffindor's own Haley Rose. She is the goddess of my world and I give to her my unyielding devotion today and for the rest of my days."
Now that he was no longer shouting, he took a moment to hop right back down from that table and approach the dance floor where Haley still stood. His eyes locked with hers as he slowly knelt down, the ring within his hand. "Haley, my love...I know that my gratitude towards you will continue to grow for the rest of our lives if you allow me to be by your side. Will you marry me?"

The kiss ended. It felt like an eternity and a millisecond at the same time. Her body was still tingling and all she could do was to look at the boy standing in front of her in awe. Her thoughts were all about him and she could no longer think rationally. The potion had full power over her and she didn't even notice. It was the most normal thing in the world at that moment, no matter how absurd the whole situation was, she didn't realise it. The only thing that mattered now was Simon and her. The two of them together, not apart. Forever.
She nodded to him excitedly, yes, they would have to do that. They couldn't be separated from each other's homes anymore. She held his hands tightly and nodded and nodded to his every word. "Yes!" she clapped her hands together and a scream of joy escaped her. Absolutely he had to move with his aunt, if they were neighbours then they could see each other every day. She would visit him, he would visit her. But still they would have to be apart. At night, here at Hogwarts. She couldn't be apart from him and it broke her heart to think of it.
Everything was happening so fast, while Haley was still thinking of a solution, it seemed Simon had already found it. He took the ring from her hand and she was wondering, but she trusted him. He would surely know what he was doing and tensely she looked at him, startled, when he suddenly called out to everyone and jumped onto the table. She held her hand in front of her mouth, an enthusiastic smile underneath. He was crazy, kicking drinks off the table as he jumped but she loved his crazy side.
She was still standing now with her hand in front of her mouth, looking at Simon, the only thing she could see. Everything blanked out around her. Her eyes only on him and her heart beating faster than ever. Tears formed in her eyes at his words, but not from sadness, it was pure joy.
Speechless, she took a few steps towards him, her smile wide, tears running down her cheeks. Her eyes were only on his when he suddenly knelt in front of her, she couldn't believe her happiness. The love of her life was proposing to her. She was the luckiest girl in this world. That's right, girl, twelve years old. She couldn't even talk about the love of her life yet or about getting married and till death do us part, but rational thinking was not possible for her as if it was turned off by a flick of a switch. At that moment it was the most natural thing in the world for them to confess their eternal love.
She dropped to her knees in front of him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Yes. Yes Yes." She sobbed aloud, unable to believe her happiness. She took his face between her hands, laughing and crying at the same time, "How could I ever turn down a proposal from Simon Ezra Kincaid? The love of my life."
She felt pure happiness. As if her lifelong dream had come true and there was nothing else in the world. Marrying Simon Kincaid was her fulfilment. He was the person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

Hungry? Samantha though for a second, she wasn't really that hungry, but she could eat something. The food looked really good, so it wouldn't hurt to try something. "I am not really that hungry, but I would love to try some of the food. It looks amazing." She smiled at Vivian and made her way to the table.
When her friend told her that she looked pretty she turned red. It was her second compliment of the day, the young girl mumbled: "Thank you." And turned her attention to the table of food.
Samantha looked over the table, scattered over the table were all different kind of flowers, most unknown to her. "It all looks so good! The flowers are also really pretty. I think I am going to take some fruit, because I don't want to eat to much and it is healthy. My mom would be so proud of me now, she always tells me to eat healthy." The young girl rolled her eyes and putted on a silly voice to imitate her mom: "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." She switched back to her normal voice: "I like candy way more, but I will listen to my mom for this one time. Here," Samantha held two bowls of fruit in here hand, one in front of Vivian, "Take one and be healthy with me."
She was right, that was Simon. She hadn't known it for sure, since they hadn't really meet. "Yes, well I don't know him that well. We are quill palls, and in one of the letters he wrote that I could say hi to him at the ball. I wasn't sure if it was him, but he said he would be wearing a green suit and he would go with his girlfriend, I think that is his girlfriend." Samantha pointed at the girl who was with him.
The young girl hadn't noticed any of the chaos that was happening around her, she wasn't quite observant as she though she was. Samantha had completely missed one of the students who was climbing on top of an other student demanding answers on something she apparently really wanted to know. She also missed two students fighting over an other students wand, which led to even more chaos. Maybe Samantha was to unobservant to notice it, or her brain just blocked her from seeing any of the chaos, so she could have a good time at her first Hogwarts ball.
Something that did grab Samantha's attention was the announcement from Simon, he apparently wanted attention. "What is he going to do?" She asked Vivian, confused on why anybody would want so much attention.
"Marry him? What are they doing, why would even want they marry each other? I don't even think it is legal to marry at our age!" Samantha made sure only Vivian could hear her, she wasn't one to ruin somebody's happiness. But the idea of marrying was something Samantha only coupled to adults. She didn't even know why you would want to mary anybody at all, but let's be honest, she didn't even think about love at all.
With open mouth she watched how Haley accepted Simon's proposal. Samantha had completely forgotten her food. This was to crazy for her, proposing at a school ball? She shook her head, why was this happening? Was this normal at parties?ReducioFree action: talking with Vivian

Vivian walked towards the table with her dreamy eyes fixed upon the table filled with fruits and maybe some other things but she didn’t mind to take a look at it. Her stomach made some noises in hunger and all she could think about was the fruits inside the bowls, she did not care about the chaos in the chaotic ball, not even an inch, at least for now. As she stood with Sam near the table, Sam started to talk, she spoke as she glanced at the flowers “Ah, flowers... it looks nice but what are their names?” with her eyebrows narrowed. As Sam started to imitate her Mom, Vivian giggled “you could be a better actress, you know?” her voice broke as she spoke between her laugh. Sam was always like this, she looks so cute and whatever she says sounds cute but she wouldn’t admit that, the blonde didn’t know what’s so wrong with being cute, she shook her head responding to her thoughts as she smiled at Sam, taking one of the apples from the bowl, “Then, we’ll both grow healthy together” she chuckled as she took a bite.
With her eyes wide open “Simon has a girlfriend! I didn’t know....” she responded to Sam. Vivian knew that Sam had a quill pal or maybe more than one, but she didn’t know it was Simon and it was so surprising to know that Simon has a girlfriend. Maybe they didn’t talk about that or she would’ve forgotten. Gazing at the red-haired girl (Haley), she didn’t know her name, at whom Sam pointed out, “They look cute together” she smiled as she took another bite of the apple.
Admiring the apple in her hand as though it was the only apple that existed in the whole universe, she started to mind her own business with her apple. Suddenly, she could hear Simon announcing something and when she looked at him, he was standing on the table. Okay, He was describing his love towards his girl but why would he want everyone to know about this now, tilting her head she scratched her head with her apple-free hand. Knowing that Sam was also in the same confused state, glancing at Sam Who knows? she replied as she shrugged and pouted her lips.
That’s all! Did he make a scene just to let the school know about his love for a girl? She shook her head as Simon walked towards the dance floor. But to her shock, she knelt down and proposed to the red-haired girl making the blonde’s eyes and mouth open wide in shock and it was more shocking to know that the girl accepted the proposal so happily. Vivian looked at Sam as she spoke, “Why do they want to get married, this soon!?” she shook her head as she closed her mouth with her hand. She couldn’t stand by watching all this, maybe they both were possessed just like her, she wanted to help them. “Come with me, Sam”She started walking towards them with Sam and apple. When she reached, “Hi” she smiled a little at both. What was she doing? she didn’t go there to say ‘hi’, she winced at her thought, with a concerning look “uh, I mean... w- what you guys are doing? You can’t get married at this age, you know?” shaking her head, she shrugged

Henry stepped into the spring festival with his two friends. Arm around Logan and hand inching closer to Aldor, from a far you could say the group were three friends hanging out and having fun at the ball but looks can be deceiving.
Henry may have been with his best friend and close friend but his mind was elsewhere.
His mind was producing images and thoughts that he would have rather not imagined.
His mind was making him believe that he was a outsider and didn't belong there. That he was ruining the fun for Logan Baird who was his best friend and who he would do anything for and also Aldor Humbleglow, a close friend and someone he wanted to apology to since Henry believe it was his fault that Aldor's friend left him.
Henry looked around the room, light dripping into the shadows. Students moving into the the dance floor to dance with one another, some staying in the back, others in the middle of chaos. The teen's blue gaze scanned the scene as his breathing quicken, watching the rest forced to think that he didn't belong, that he was ruining the night for two of his most closest and dearest friends, that he would always be a outsider.
Henry moved closer to Logan as his grip around her shoulder tiger just a bit, his blue eyes found their way to a set of red hair.
Scarlett Aden
Henry watched her for a moment. She was wearing a gold jumpsuit and symbols that belonged to Apollo, she looked to be having fun but couldn't tell. What he could tell however was the girl was with a student from another school and his cousin from Dumstrang.
Henry looked once more at the scene. Knowing that his cousin was awful but Scarlett was here with him, not Rose or anyone else. But Charles Alluring. The thought struck Henry, his friend was hanging out with his cousin. She probably was getting along better or preferred him.
The teen felt sadness far around him and his anxiety started to grow above him like a rain cloud ready to pour.
He looked away.
His blue eyes landed on another scene.
Santario Martin. Co dueling captain for the Viridian Vipers and someone Henry always admired even if they are in the same year.
Henry watched converse or rather snap at a fellow Viper. Opeila Winters. The young teen wondered what they were saying but has a faint idea it was about one of the scenes that played out during the dance between one of the groups.
Either that or it was something else. Perhaps about the dueling team or perhaps someone on it.
Henry started to imagine the worst. His anxiety and that familiar little voice reminded him of thoughts and emotions that he would have rather forgot.
Blue eyes staring at Santario. Suddenly a ogre to run over there but he didn't. He was wrong on what the two were talking about but the teen didn't know that. All he knew was he let Dawn the Vipers plenty of times, he failed his teams and partner before, he never truly believed he deserved a spot on the team.
Watching the two girls only helped remind him that he was a outsider. A outsider that was staring in watching from the other side.
Henry back up a few steps but ended up bumping into someone, the young teen would turn on his heel so fast to apology to them when he didn't know that he was walking backward to where Santario and Opeila was.
The younger teen slipped on his trainers and knocked into Santario, in a attempt to stop himself he cause himself to fall onto his right wrist in a way that it shouldn't be able to bend.
Henry bit his lower lip for a moment as pain and embarrassment flooded his mind and the back of his neck was hot from embarrassment.
He wouldn't look at the two girls but instead quickly speak to Santario, " I'm sorry," as he found his feet and briskly walked back to Logan and Aldor where he would hold his right wrist with his left as he spoke" I'm sorry for ruining your night and now leaving, I'll make it up to you both I promise. Anything I could do," Henry nodded to Aldor with a small smile before turning to Logan as he spoke" I'm fine this my wirst and my fury problem is probably acting up at the dormitory, you know how Loki is alone," his words disguised so Aldor won't figure out his secret that Logan already knew.
A nod and quick smile to each before he would run back the way they came, a look back toward the Viper co captain and suddenly his thoughts spiraled around his mind.
The term ran back to the underworld and wanted to get as far from everyone as he could.

She accepted! She accepted!
Simon wrapped his arms around Haley and effortlessly spun her around, easy to do when one was a dhampir and had increased strength. Still, with that strength he put her down gently. "You've made me the happiest I've ever been," he stated, but before he could get another word in, a friend and fellow Hufflepuff, Vivian Fletcher, approached them.
"What are we doing? We are fulfilling our hopes and dreams. We're preparing to start the rest of our lives!" But then it set in how Vivian said they couldn't get married at their age and his smile fell for a moment and he looked at her without any expression at all.
"One of the most famous love stories ever was Romeo and Juliet, Vivian. Shakespeare? She was thirteen when they met. We're nearly there. It's not our fault she took longer to meet her soulmate." That was his first line of defense.
"During the Holy Roman Empire, from the 9th to the 19th century, marriagable age was 12 years old." He needed some examples here and paused to think. "Mother of Napoleon I of France, Maria-Letizia Buonaparte was thirteen when she got married." Just one year off. "And The Duchess of Richmond, Sarah Lennox, she was married at fourteen. Daughter of Louis XIV of France, Louise Françoise de Bourbon, she got married at eleven. And there was Maria Luisa Gabriella of Savoy, Queen of Spain who married Philip the Fifth who got married at twelve."
Facts. They would help support his case. He was sure of it.
"Viv, love has no age. When you find your soulmate, you are finally complete and you know that you cannot be without them," he said and glanced over to Haley with a smile. "They become part of you, an essential part of you that is needed for happiness and survival itself."
"We've got a bride. we've got a groom!" The basic elements. Now they just needed to plan the wedding...but when? End of term was coming soon, so soon. Simon glanced around. The Grounds here at the Spring Festival were beautiful. Romantically beautiful...
He looked to Haley who was already as beautiful as she could possibly be, fancy dress and all - even in her favorite color. There he stood too all dressed up. All they would really need was an officiant and rings. Wait! He glanced down to Haley's grandfather's snake ring that he wore daily. They had rings. They had already exchanged rings. This was too perfect!
"And Viv! Oh, wonderful, lovely, fabulous, Viv! My fellow Hufflepuff! So loyal, friendly, kind, giving. YOU could be our officiant! We could do the ceremony. Here. Now."
"Please?"

Aldor Humbleglow didn't say a word, he simply walked away from Henry's friend, this time with the helmet on, trying not to get recognized by anyone, but his complexion and the bit of his long hair could be seen coming out of the costume, it was impossible to miss, the young student explored the place with his terrifying Typhon costume, he was even proud 0f it, but he wished that he was still with his friends, he was all alone, again, but it was fine, he could just do the same as Henry, he could escape-. After all, it wasn't like anyone else was waiting for him, he wasn't going to find anything or anyone that was for him.
He thought about the people that could be inside the festival already, Rose Moon, Vivian Fletcher, maybe even Adlai Rod, but was it worth it? Should he look for them? He was slowly falling into madness, he felt just like an outsider, a monster. How fun, his costume was based on the king of all aberrations and horrible creatures that have existed, and now he felt like one. Oh Henry, how he wished he could understand the Slytherin, but he couldn't read minds, he was just a kid, scared, confused, and overall inmature and absolutely oblivious on how to handle his feelings.
He just kept walking, remaining in the darkest areas of the place. but it was very obvious, in a sea of people wearing cute attires and bright colors, there was the random kid wearing a dark and scary costume. This wasn't fair! Or maybe it was, maybe he deserved being alone, he wasn't a good friend at all, he always hid his thoughts from everyone he cared about, he was a horrible person, what kind of person could hide what he felt from his best friends?
It was too confusing, it was a nightmare. He wished he would've stayed inside the dorms, in the darkness, drowning in his own thoughts like he always did. Trapped in his own little bubble.
He thought this was going to be a fun night with friends, he EVEN considered dancing if it was necesary, something that would be much more than just what he was used to do, like hiding, but there he was again, small and scared, maybe it was time to leave, even if he just got there, or maybe he should look for his friends, he didn't know anymore, but he wasn't expecting to anyone to give him an answer.

Haley couldn't believe it, it felt like all her dreams were coming true. Simon's embrace felt like pure security, like home. She didn't want to miss this feeling any more. "And you me!" she laughed happily as he lifted her up and spun her around like a lightness. This felt like the happiest moment of her life.
Surprised, she looked at the girl who had interrupted her unique moment. If it had been congratulations on her fresh engagement, Haley wouldn't have been upset, but the unknown girl wanted to stop her from getting married, saying it wasn't possible. "Excuse you?" Haley yelled indignantly, but before she could say anything, Simon started to defend them. And he did great, he had the right arguments and with her arms crossed Haley stood beside him and nodded in agreement. The two obviously knew each other and Haley pondered what her problem was. They were soul mates and were going to get married, what would be so bad about that? Was she jealous? Was she in love with Simon?
A rage arose in her at these thoughts and by the look on her face you would think she could kill people. But when Simon looked at her again and smiled at her, the anger was gone. She smiled back and reached for his hand. "Yes, Viv, love has no age." Haley repeated approvingly though she pronounced her name a little flippantly.
At Simon's lecture and words about soul mates and all that love stuff, Haley's heart beat faster. The love potion was taking full effect. "A toast to my fiancé!" she exclaimed, holding her cup up and taking a sip.
When Simon asked Vivian, her heart did the next leap. This was THE idea! Haley hadn't even thought that far ahead. It was everything she wanted. It would make the evening perfect, it would make her life perfect. She squeezed Simon's hand in excitement. "Oh Merlin, yes. Vivian that would be great!" Haley joined in and put on her puppy dog eyes.

Upon entering the musical space Selim had to briefly go still as he tried to comprehend just what he was seeing. He arrived in the middle of what seemed to be a brawl made up of all familiar faces. A marriage proposal, and his kohai being crowded by those he was supposed to be watching over. A good chunk of the partygoers was just ignoring all the chaos, which is common in blossom ball disasters.
He blinked as he watched... was that Tân? Yes, it was... and he was jumping in front of Athanatos's wand, like an idiot... unsurprising. Not only that, Jack seemingly, in a fit of desperation, hand tried to leap in and catch the older redhead, only for both of them to be propelled into Erin who was on the verge of choking out his roommate.
Of course, the action of the two irresponsible gingers made Vladimir look like a villain once more, but Selim wouldn't think it far-fetched that the Fourth Year was likely just trying to get Erin Ryan (Who Selim had a sneaking suspicion had been turning into a hag slowly over the years if his last one-on-one meeting with her was to say anything.)
Ignoring the brawl he looked toward his kohai, who looked distinctly irritated with everyone around him. Unsurprising.
The wedding proposal situation was something he didn't want to touch with a six-foot pole. They were standing on top of the food though, which was simply horrid because it was a waste of perfectly good food.
Scanning the crowd again he saw the once-prefect Thomas LeStrange bothering the girl Selim had once seen on the brink of death in a Hospital cot, while he was on the adjacent cot. His memory flashed back to the black bile of liquid rot that had spewed from her mouth after Vladimir had saved her life.
She looked displeased and tired, and still frail. A thoughtful frown pulled at his lips, and the urge to force his dormmate and the boy who had once hired him away from her overcame him. He didn't quite know why he had such odd impulses to assist the remaining two estranged students every time he saw them in conflict, but he knew that it would bring him nothing but trouble.
They weren't lightworlders though, they were, at the most, greyworlders. He had no reason to assist them other than because his gut reaction was to do just that.
"Tsk." It was still chaotic, but it was distinctly quieter than the packed Underworld, even if not by much. He looked over to his fellow rabbit-masked companion, a frown was in his voice. "It looks like it's just as chaotic here. I see a few lightworlders, the boy who just jumped in front of a spell is definitely one, I know him but he has not seen Mushroom, he could not identify me. Though he's an idiot and occupied with a rather pointless brawl. " He paused, free hand lifting and emerging from its black billowing sleeve to point at Erin Ryan. "She is a danger, she is touched by the darkness of hags, I believe she should be avoided. You and she both believe in death witches but she would likely attack us thinking we are death witches because of her poor state of mind... and because of our costumes."
Selim wasn't against the belief in death witches, but they had not been explained to him well enough for him to personally be paranoid about them, so his comment was passive as he mentioned them.
"Our mission would be placed in jeopardy if she attempts to do that. Luckily she is preoccupied with my roommate for now." Passively he gestured to Kazuo "That is my kohai, he's also a lightworlder, but he's sharp and may see through our attempts to join him in his realm. Along with that he does know of Mushroom, even if I removed him from my hand he might still be able to guess that it is me below this mask. He and the Fox, who is the other redhead struck by Athanato's spell, should be avoided."
For a moment his eyes locked on Flash, red hues hyperfocused. A surge of familiar bloodlust filled him as if he were a predator watching prey, causing him to tense up. The boy let out a sharp hiss and tried to smother the dark desire. He haltingly gestured to him "That is Holmwood... he triggers it... the beast in my lake. He'd recognize my voice... most definitely." He tore his eyes away from the boy as he referenced his first conversation with the dhampir. He could keep control, he had to. "I will do my best to stay away from him, I do not wish to blow our cover so soon."
Swallowing dryly, his hues remained on Kaegen. "Is there anyone here that I should be wary of from your list?" He ignored the beast begging him to indulge in bloodshed once more, jaw tensing as he gritted his teeth, keeping his breaths even until it submitted.
"Getting riled up, Tea? Truly a pity that we can't treat ourselves tonight and sate the beast, that's always fun." The puppet chuckled darkly, Selim glared at him, ignoring the images of pain lacing blue eyes haunting his mindscape, the enjoyment he once felt looking into them now replaced by a deeply disturbed unease that shrouded the faint echo of sadistic amusement.
"It's a terrible time, yes, so stop trying to tempt it." Selim growled and Aku laughed in response. Taking a breath he refocused on the topic at hand, looking to the banquet table, a few nondescript students were eating some food from the buffet (Npcs) with seemingly no ill effects. Warily, Selim walked over to the banquet tables, carefully avoiding the nearby marriage scene, he grabbed a cucumber sandwich, smelling it warily.
He was still suspicious of it, those students could be planted by whoever tainted the punch after all.
