Good morning Aspirants!
If you haven't seen it yet, you should check out the newest lore/Context post on Animagi! This gives us more information on how we'll get to play them, including the application requirements and certain animal limitations. At some point, I'll edit the first post in this thread to guide new folks there as well. It's all great info to have and may effect some decisions for those who were on the fence about the ability.

Also, I'm gonna be posting again to the meeting thread before the weekend is up, if you're still intending to post (or join) please get em in soon so I don't skip you! I still have a backlog of ideas for scenes I'd love to write with the League, we just have to wrap this one up first

Little updates The Disclaimer and Description sections were combined and condensed, because really, there was too much in there. There's a shiny new "RECORDS" section, to help us keep track of all League scenes, as well as their thread status for those looking to hop into something.

Hey all! Bumping the current thread, like mentioned in the latest post, I intend to reply some time in the next few days so that it doesn't drag out too long. It's still open to any new members, though I will probably begin winding things down after my next post

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
A mammal. Preferably some sort of larger canid, such as a large dog or coywolf. Or avian, like a magpie.

Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Illowy's biggest drive to become an animagus came after she learned about her cousin's lycanthropy. The more she read up on the condition, the more she learned werewolves were mostly violent towards humans as opposed to other animals. That sealed the deal for what she decided was her duty to do for her cousin. The two were each other's main support system, and when he needed her most, it was too dangerous for her to be with him. The idea of taking an animal form to be able to support him properly caused Illowy to fervently decide to do whatever she needs to to make him feel less alone or monstrous.

Just as well, Illowy likes the idea of becoming something somewhat unapproachable. After all, who just goes up to a massive, scary dog they don't know? Sounds like a perfect way to be left alone if that was what she wanted.

As for the idea of being a bird, its truly ironic. Illowy has a fear of falling, one of the reasons her worst class is flying. Not much to fear in that regard though if you're able to fly yourself. The idea specifically being a magpie though, comes from a childhood nickname of the titular bird.

What do you hope to get from this group?
Illowy has been researching about becoming an animagus since her second year. She's got practical tunnel vision around the idea of why she has to do it, and her mind hasn't opened up too much to the other benefits that might come from such decision. Having friends, or at least knowing other's and listening to their reasons might open her mind a bit, and help her see another side of being an animagus beyond familial duty.

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
A mammal, like a feline or a fox. But not an animal that her cat could eat.
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
First of all, Lily loves to imagine what animals feel like when they are alive, so what better way to find out than to be an Animagus? Secondly, she has always seen herself in the skin of a cat and being able to change shape from time to time, she would love that.
Lily is passionate about felines. She finds them beautiful and majestic. Especially cats and tigers. But becoming a white tiger would be weird in England. Also, she is a redhead so the red fox might look like her. And according to a Muggle test, the red fox is her totem animal.
What do you hope to get from this group?
Meeting new people, having good discussions and other RP. And maybe learn more about animagus.

Cade would like to see himself become something canine, like an arctic wolf.

Why that animal? Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Cade would lean towards this type of animal subconsciously because he would like to support his sister's lycanthropy. If he can match her, she might feel better about her condition. As for why he would like to become one is to branch out his abilities and feel a part of a community of development and hard work. He also just thinks turning into an animal at will is an amazing feat, that anyone should aspire for.

What do you hope to gain from this group?
Making connections and having a great dynamic roleplay experience.
