The second clue would lead the team that modestly referred to themselves as The Cutest Snakes to the ballroom. Over the years the students had surely seen the ballroom, a room that could really be found in every castle in Scotland- at least that was the rumour- in all sorts of different decorations. The last masquerade ball had happened in this room and from what Opeila had heard, the one before as well.

While the second year didn't exactly have good memories of this place, it was a good one to include in the game. As far as she remembered, some had been there during the last ball. Percival for sure- he had been there with her after all, their last evening as boyfriend and girlfriend. That didn't matter today though- it was fine. What she had regretted afterward though was that she had placed him in a team with Michael Miller, another familiar.

She had not even thought about the story he had told her months ago- Maybe she had banned it from her mind, it had been too disappointing.

But whatever had happened in the past, there was no space for it in the game.

A weird audience we are.
Always applaud, no matter what we saw.
We see a lot be sure of that,
As this is the place where people show off.

Dan was immensely proud of himself for answering the first riddle correctly so quickly. However, as soon as he did, and it kinda fit, Mic Miller just took off running to the Ballroom. Dan had to rush to put a shirt on, as he hadn't yet, (he was not fully aware that this would take them outside of the slytherin dorms, the last one didnt) And hurry down after Mic and Percival.

Since Dan was barefooted like he always was, he was quite swift on his (bare) feet. Zooming down the halls and taking stairs two at a time, his feet rapidly padding on the stone floor, and happy he and his mates back in Dingle Ireland physically played together as often or more so then they did with online video games, Dan had soon caught up with them in the Ballroom.

Not content to even wait a few minutes for Dan to get there, these two were already working on the next riddle. Dan understood; he was competitive himself. He took Quidditch VERY seriously. But you dont do a game without all your team with you. Honestly now.

"Oi, the shag'r ye doin', just leavin' me behind like that? I wasn't gonna run around the school with me feckin' nipples out, ye shower'a bastards! Give a lad time to put a shirt on, will ye?"

Dan wasn't exactly upset with them or anything, but a biiiit salty and slightly pouty that they just took off without him and started on the riddle before he could get there.
He padded over to them and read the riddle.

"Right. someone needs ta teach Opeila what does and doesn't rhyme. 'Are' and 'saw' only rhyme in certain accents, and only if ye squint real hard."

Dan thought a moment. The Quidditch Pitch seemed like the immediate answer. There are always people applauding in there. And the audience was certainly weird; coming to watch kids play with balls and severely injure each other...
But then, the same could absolutely be said about Americans and their far inferior sport of football. A hollow mockery of what football ACTUALLY is. REAL football requires skill, practice, and finesse. American stupid shite football required you to be enormous, good at throwing and catching, or fast. Yes, or. A combination is preferred but not required.

Dan shook himself from his ADHD ranting tangent. This was NOT the time for that.
He went over what did and didnt match in his head. There was always applause, and the pitch has seen a lot. But when he thought about it, he realized that the audience wasn't weird in the way that the riddle was implying... Weird, sure. Everyone in Hogwarts was bloody weird. Hell, he himself walked around a stone floored castle and ankle high snow in Hogsmeade barefooted, every day, without fail. Or frostbite.
Point being, that every student in Hogwarts was weird. Which means that technically, no one in Hogwarts was weird. No one can be weird when everyone is.
In addition, the pitch had sen varied games, and a secret ball, but thats not... a lot. The games were all different, but they were still just quidditch games. And games and a ball were only two different things. Not exactly seeing a lot.
Plus, the riddle specified a plural. 'WE' see a lot. Dan was reasonably sure that the Quidditch Pitch was not alive, did not think of itself as a person, and certainly did not think of itself as multiple people, and refer to itself as such.
For a moment, Dan wondered what the Quidditch Pitch's preferred pronouns would be, before tearing himself back to the matter at hand. The pitch simply didnt fit. So what did?

He noticed Mic was going on and on about other locations, seemingly at random... He wasn't paying attention to be honest, lost in thought as he was.
Then it hit him. There was a place where there were weird portraits. The people in said portraits were known for giving anyone applause if they actually put effort into their performance.
This room had seen MANY things, all kinds of different performances. In fact, a Gryffindor with a hard to follow accent staged a talent show in there once.

"Lads, I think its the Rehearsal Room. Everything fits. Lets go, lets go lets go!

Partly because he wanted to be in first place, mostly because they had done the same to him, Dan took off running, bare feet padding as he sprinted to the rehearsal room. It was not far away, they could get there remarkably fast.

Percival frowned to himself as he listened to Miller and Palmer converse with one another. He wondered how bad his luck was for him to get stuck with these too. To be fair, he didn't really know the other boy, but Miller he knew all too well. The boy listened to the other mildly as he prattled on about every little location that could possibly fit in with the riddle that was given to them. He wouldn't lie the small hall had been a good guess at the time. It impressed him that the shorter boy was able to think so quickly on his feet. Though any good will was squashed by the fact that Miller seemed to have a habit of running away once he figured things out. The boy had already given the other a cold glare after the first clue, and he hoped it would be enough to cow the other in.

Percival could not lie the wording of this riddle was far more harder to understand then the previous one. He wondered if the riddles would continue to get harder as time passed. Percival caught Miller saying something about the rehearsal room. "It has to be the rehearsal hall!" he said in agreement. "Let's head there.
