Her spell hit, yes, this was getting better again, delilah also watched as her fellow fourth years spell backfired on her. But hers hit. Soon enough though, she would be biting her tongue as a knockback jinx sent her backwards. Hitting her full force in the chest, it wasn't as bad as if it had been frost sending it, but it certainly hurt.

It was hard to guess what exactly was happening. Had they all chosen to direct their efforts to dodging? It was a possibility, and not an unreasonable one considering they'd all taken a decent bit of damage. The thing was, if everyone chose to dodge, it did no one any good. It made for a weird round, to say the least. Bridget shifted her weight, glancing between the three duellists as she tried to puzzle out what was happening, or rather what wasn't happening.

There were other conceivable reasons for the pause, too. Frost might still be in shock from her Flipendo backfiring, and Lea could be trying to catch her breath, the wind finally ceasing. Maybe Delilah was taking the moment to strategize. Or perhaps they'd all spaced for a minute? How likely was it for three people to do that at the same time? Oh well, it didn't seem like any speculating would give her an answer to the momentary lull that had settled over the platform.

Everything had sort of... stopped. For Lea, it meant having had enough with this wind. Frustration blinded her need to actually do something, only realizing when the gust had dissipated. Each seemed to be in there own space, a moment of rest- calming, but unusual. And not what she should've done. The first year shook her head, as if trying to shake off the rest, frustration and an odd calm still the main emotions. But at least the hufflepuff seemed more prepared this time.

Nothing?....nothing, she knew she did nothing, but both of them did as well, she had to hold in a chuckle, the three of them just stood there looking at each other. This duel could either be finished within a couple of rounds, or going on forever with no end. and there wasn't much of a sign at the minute as to which way that would go.

And suddenly all was still and quiet. In the few moments after the last round, both teams did nothing. Frost took a breath, it was an odd but nice moment of rest between all the chaos of the duel. Much like her teammate, Frost snapped out of her moment of rest. She smiled at Lea and soon readied herself for the next round.

Whatever had been happening the round before, the duellists snapped out of it. Mostly, at least, though Delilah's lack of cast could be attributed to the threat of two bright blue lights heading her way in sync. The badgers might be able to sense the victory at this point, aware that Delilah wouldn't be able to take too much more. Two Flipendoes would probably do the trick.

Unfortunately for them, Delilah was not ready to go out quite yet. Lea's cast, in contrast to her normally good aim, wasn't so spot-on and flew by the Ravenclaw. Frost's was an awfully close call. Delilah almost did it, almost avoided both spells, but her efforts weren't quite enough and the more powerful of the two casts landed, painfully impacting with her shoulder. Was this the beginning of the end?

Delilah waited, waited to see what they would do, but didn't manage to move in time before frost hit her with a spell, she was getting a bit tired now, both from how long the duel was going on for and how many times she had been hit, she hoped she could at least get a little more out of the duel.

Finally, one of Frost’s spells had hit. It couldn’t be much longer until Delilah gave out. Which was a horrible thought, but in duels it didn’t matter much. She looked to Lea with a smile and a look on her face that looked as though she was silently asking Lea is she was proud of her. It filled her with a bit of determination, enough to get adrenaline going through her once more.
