Before Hogwarts:

Saoirse was born out of wedlock in Dublin, Ireland on October 26, 2008 to two muggles named Cathal Walsh and Ciara Kelly. By the time she started school, she and her older half-brother, Cillian Walsh, we’re living with their maternal grandparents in the beautiful town of Westport, Ireland. This is because her parents are not able to support both children due to their low-paying jobs. Up until she was 10, she and Cillian would go back and forth between her paternal grandfather in Enniscorthy, Ireland in the summers and their grandparents during the school year.
Before attending Hogwarts, she was sent to private academies for her education. Her grandparents paid for the school itself, but her parents paid for both of their school supplies prior to the beginning of the school year. On a muggle standard, she received spectacular schooling. On the magic side of things, not so much. After an incident of accidental magic occurred at school after a relatively rough year, her grandparents decided to home school her since her grandmother used to be a teacher. Due to this, she hasn’t made that many friends in the past few years. Even prior to that, she had a hard time making friends since she would close herself up and just spend time with Cillian or her grandparents.
Her first moment of accidental magic occurred when she was about 7 years old. She had gotten into a fight with her brother about some obscure, meaningless topic that she can't even remember anymore. She just remembers that she had a glass in her hand at one moment, and in the next, in was shattered into pieces without adding any force to it. She had cuts on her hand for weeks. About a year after that, her grandfather in Enniscorthy had passed away due to natural causes. She and Cillian were very connected to him, so it left a hole in their summers afterwards. When she was about nine, she received a bad grade on a project that had almost no impact to her overall semester grade. She'd been very proud of this project, so she threw a fit afterwards. She began crying at her desk, cracking from the pressure, and, eventually, she forcefully pushed her desk over, causing most of the surrounding books to fall off of their shelves and onto the floor. She was quickly pulled out of school in the hopes that it wouldn't stay on her record.
As for her personality and interests, she’s relatively bubbly. Confident, smart, and very open-minded. She enjoys writing, painting, and just generally chatting. While in Enniscorthy, she would swim at the beach and draw things she saw near her. She also enjoys travelling since her grandmother has been taking her on trips since she moved in with her grandparents; it’s what she’s accustomed to.

At Hogwarts:

Since she hadn't been participating in school-life for almost four full years, she was very reserved this year. Rather than partaking in group activities, she watched and faded into the background of it all. She would spend her freetime reading her books and painting scenes she'd seen that day and the landscape she could see from her bedroom window. She'd have little conversations with professors and students every now and then, but nothing really enough to make them think anything of the interaction.
