A Lonely Beginning
Juliet Greene finally makes it through the brick wall with her family and all she can do is smile. But she looks around and quickly realizes how many people are going to be getting on the train. She looks up to her parents and brother Daniel and asks "What if none of these people want to sit with me? What if I end up in a compartment alone?" Her parents quickly and swiftly tell her that it will all be fine many times as they whisk her off toward the train.
The group finally makes it through the crowd of mothers and fathers saying good bye to their children, siblings moving in groups toward the train doors, and scared first years being comforted by their parents. Too many things are rushing through Juliet's mind. What if she can't make any friends at all and ends up spending the entire school year alone? What if her roommates end up hating her? And worst of all, what if she doesn't make it into Ravenclaw like everyone else in her family?
Her thoughts are interrupted by her parents beginning to hug her tightly and her brother joining in. They hold her for a moment and then let her go and send her off onto the Hogwarts Express. She quickly carries her shoulder bag and trunk onto the train and sets of down the corridor in search of a compartment. She was too worried about someone telling her that she couldn't sit with them or being mean to her, so she decided that she wanted to find an empty compartment and let people come and sit with her if they wished. She hurried off down the narrow corridor with her bags scraping the wall loudly the entire way. She was almost at the end of the train car and was running out of hope when she found an empty compartment. She quickly rushed in, threw her bag up onto the rack, and took a seat next to the window. She peered out in search of her parents or brother but didn't see any trace of them. Had they left already? She decided not to worry about it. She was very happy that it wasn't completely silent though. She was focusing on the bustling and lively sounds of all of the other students on the train instead of everything that was to come.
After a moments time, Juliet pulls out a book and begins to read.

A Lonely Beginning
Peering around Dakota but on her lip, she was a muggle-born, not only that but claustrophobic. The bustling of the busy platform overwhelmed the poor girl but a hand rested gently on her shoulder as her eldest brother, Travis, smiled down at her “you’ll be alright love.” using a gentle voice Travis told her, another boy spoke up, this being Mel, who was only a year younger than Travis “Travis is right, no need to make a fuss.” as Mel said this Travis shot him a look, causing Dakota to giggle.After getting her trunk onto the train and stowing it away she gave her brothers a quick hug and hurried in. Instantly, her mind told her this wasn’t alright, too many people..in such a small place- Dakota bite down on her lip as she made her way through the crowds of students. Pushing down a anxiety attack Dakota would look into each compartment only to find their full or almost full. That is, till she came across the one where Juliet was.Standing in the doorway Dakota poked her head into the compartment “do you mind if I sit with you..?” she spoke in a soft, sweet voice, almost like honey. Her eyes glittered in the sunlight that seeps through the windows, showing her anxiety yet showing she’s also a petite girl.@ Juliet Greene

A Lonely Beginning
As the Shadows family enters the platform, the father looks around astonished at the magical world. This was the world his wife had grown up in and his daughter was entering today. He looked over at them and chuckled at the sight. His wife was trying to smooth out their daughter's hair and the girl was recoiling. His little Jinxx was always a stubborn one!
"Mum! Stop you're going to embarrass me on my first day!," Brenna 'Jinxx' Shadows sputtered as she turned beet red. She managed to escape her grasp and raced toward the train. Before boarding, she called back an 'I love you' to her parents. The girl stared at her feet as she rushed to the nearest compartment. Upon entering she slammed the door and exhaled, trying to calm her racing nerves.
Suddenly, she felt other presences in the compartment and looked up. Her eyes fell upon a girl with golden brown hair, and another girl with blonde. The girl hadn't even checked if anyone was in this one! Hopefully, the others wouldn't get mad at her. "I- I can leave if you want!," Jinxx stuttered out. She moved to the door, but paused waiting for their response.

A Lonely Beginning
Juliet was startled by everyone coming into the compartment and quickly looked up from her book to see who had entered. She saw a girl with brown hair who seemed a bit shy and another girl with dark hair who looked just as startled as Juliet. Juliet quickly assessed the situation and then said "Oh hello! Have a seat, I don't mind!". She then began to overthink what she had said and done since the two had entered the compartment. Was it obvious that she had been startled by them? Had she said something that sounded awkward? Did they actually want to sit with her or was this the last compartment and their last option? Juliet quickly tried to suppress these thoughts and focus on not scaring these girls away. She really just wanted some friends and she decided that these two might just be her first ones.
The train started to move slowly forward and Juliet looked out the window to try to find her family but still couldn't find them so she looked back to the girls and said "Sorry, I should introduce myself. My name is Juliet Greene." then she swiftly placed her bookmark between the pages of her book and closed it. She just kept thinking that she would make a bad impression on these people or they wouldn't like her but she suppressed all of those thoughts and just kept telling herself that she needs to ignore her anxiety and focus on what's happening around her.
OOC: Are Travis and Mel in the compartment or did Dakota walk away from them before getting on the train? I'm just a bit confused sorry.

Ooc: Mel and Travis are not on the train, they are her muggle brothers and are just seeing their sister off as their father is no longer with them and their mother doesn’t really want anything to do with them. Sorry for the confusion!Dakota had flinched at Jinxx slamming the compartment door, blinking, she turned her attention towards Juliet, giving her a gentle smile before Dakota took her seat across from her. Tucking herself basically against the wall Dakota did respond “it’s nice to meet you, Juliet, I’m Dakota Olson.” tucking her arms against her Dakota paused, biting her lip. It was much quieter in this compartment, well, now that Jinxx was no longer speaking loudly. Giving Jinxx a soft look Dakota giggled a bit ”theres no need to leave.” Dakota was able to sense Jinxxs nervousness and just kept a sweet look.Dakota sets the black bag down that held a few of her own personal belongs. Sitting back Dakota watched the two girls, quietly wondering how much they knew about this new world Dakota was entering and how exactly they would be. Dakota hadn’t been treated fairly as her last school. Instead used as something for students to take their frustrations out on verbally, rarely ever getting physical as not to leave evidence, so she was a bit protective of herself at this moment. Crossing her legs, she listened to her surroundings, but more importantly, listened to the girls who she was sharing a compartment with for the time being.@Juliet Greene

A Lonely Beginning
"My name is Brenna Shadows, but everyone calls me Jinxx. Sorry for slamming the door. I had to escape the evil clutches of my mum's hands on my hair. Nice to meet you two lassies! How much do you know about Hogwarts?," Jinxx rambled.
Upon realizing her rambling, she chose to sit on the end of the seat that held Juliet. She wrung her hands, staring at them as her ivory skin flushed crimson in embarrassment. Why was she always embarrassing herself?! See, this is why you don't have many friends! Why the three friends you did have left you for other wizarding schools.
Her thoughts brought tears to her blue eyes and she quickly tried to hide herself away. Maybe she wasn't magic, it could have been a fluke! The only time she had shown any magic was five years ago. Jinxx felt like she should just hide herself away in a tall tower and never show her face again. Yeah, that could work. Get my mum to hide me away like Princess Fiona in Shrek! She hoped the other girls couldn't sense her inner turmoil. The girl normally was a little spitfire, the reason she was nicknamed Jinxx, but had been reduced to an utter mess!

Dakotas gaze softened seeing Jinxx’s tear filled eyes, giving her a kind smile Dakota, motioning for the girl to join her the two others in the compartment. Dakotas first thought had been to stand up and wipe away Jinxx’s tears but she kept still, not sure how Jinxx would react to Dakota touching her. “Ah, sadly I don’t know much as I’m a muggle-born.” peering at Jinxx she blinked around to Juliet “and..what about you two? Do you know anything special?” being quite curious Dakota listened closelyShe wasn’t sure at all of the secrets of this world, the mystery’s it held under wraps, but she was most definitely intrigued to figure out exactly that. Seeing as Dakota hadn’t had many friends at her muggle school she wasn’t exactly sure what she was doing or what to talk about, instead trying to direct it back to the people with her. It was interesting to hear the accents the girls had though Dakotas didn’t shine through as much, it wasn’t as thick as it would be with other people from Scotland. At least she was able to ride comfortably, well, as comfortably as she could be in the small compartment, but for now Dakota kept her compassionate side “no need to fret Jinxx.”.@Jinxx Shadows

A Lonely Beginning
"Mum's a witch, she was a Gryffindor! Dad's a muggle and he was awed at the platform. I don't think I will be in the same house as Mum though. I'm from Belfast, Ireland! My three friends moved away and are each going to another wizarding school.," Jinxx explained.
She told them that one boy was headed to Durmstrang, the other boy to Ilvermorny, and the girl to Beauxbatons. They had kept in touch before school started, but she wasn't sure what would happen now. Probably find new friends and forget I exist. They were my only friends, perhaps they won't. Maybe I can make some more here at Hogwarts.
The girls in her compartment seemed really nice, so maybe they would be friends with her. "Internal arguments are a wee bit too common for me. Rarely does a day goes by without one. At least these last couple didn't happen out loud... I get stares as if I am insane and sometimes I agree. We Irishmen are a bit bonkers!," Jinxx rambled, cackling at the end.

Juliet took a moment to take everything in. She quickly noticed that Jinxx seemed to be tearing up a bit. Juliet wanted to say something encouraging and ask what was wrong but she wasn't sure if Jinxx would get uncomfortable. That was the last thing that she wanted to do. After taking a quick breath she said "I feel like I know too much about Hogwarts honestly, more than I want to at least. I come from a pure-blood family and both of my parents and my older brother went to school at Hogwarts.", Juliet stopped for a split second to decide how much she wanted to say and then continued "But most of it is all about the Ravenclaws, their common room and dormitories, and everything like that. My entire family have all been Ravenclaws and I'm quite nervous that I won't be one like my parents expect me to. And the only thing my brother ever did over his summer break was complain about all of the homework. But, he did talk about other things too like how much fun quidditch games were and how much he loved the professors and how amazing the food was. My mum always took that as an insult to her cooking though." All of Juliet's instincts were telling her to just stop talking, to stop sharing so much. She instantly regretted saying so much and felt vulnerable. Despite her brain telling her to just be quiet she finished off by saying "Sorry, I've rambled on haven't I?".
Juliet began to overthink things a bit. But, she also tried to focus on all of the good things that sharing information with these two girls would do. Like maybe now they would trust her more and she wouldn't feel like as much of a mystery to them or maybe they would feel more comfortable to open up a bit more to her. Yes, Juliet decided that she needs to focus on the positives and block out fear as best she can. She was really hoping that these two girls couldn't read minds or sense her feelings. "Ugh! Why do I have to be so fearful and shy" she thought.
Juliet moved on and decided to survey the two girls quickly. The girl sitting across from her seems a bit tense but she was beautiful and had pretty blue eyes and brown hair. The girl to her side seemed like she was a little bit embarrassed and she was also beautiful with amazing olive skin and chocolate colored hair. While focusing on Jinxx for a moment, Juliet's mind wondered back to why Jinxx was tearing up. Had she said something offensive? No, that couldn't be it, she'd barely said anything to the two girls. Then her mind wandered to the question of... Would these girls want to be her friend or would they move on and act like they had never even met her once they made it to the castle?
All Juliet could do was to wait and see but she decided that she would do her best to make these girls not feel uncomfortable around her. After all, she just wanted some friends that would stay by her side.
