Lune was born on the 2nd of August, 2009 in a large family of 10 that lived in an equally large former church in Canterbury, Kent.
Looking back, the first time Lune remembers (accidentally) using magic, she must've been around 3 years old and was sitting in the garden looking very fascinated at a pile of leaves when the next second they started levitating and swirling around her like she was in the middle of a tiny hurricane. Though she didn't know what it was, she never mentioned any of the strange things that happened for she was a quiet child but also, her parents were often away for work and rarily available for any conversations at all.
Around the age of 8, when secretly going through her mothers stuff, Lune finds old letters from her mom and her aunt Mabel who she did not know the existence of till then. She learns her mother is descended from a long line of dark witches and wizards in which she has always felt like an outcast and got overshadowed by her sister Mabel. When she reached the legal age of 17 she rebelled, broke contact with her family and swore magic off completely in the hope she could raise her future children like normal muggles.
Lune decides to contact her aunt Mabel. Mabel, who has no children herself, is very pleased to realise her niece has magical powers meaning she could continue the bloodline and restore the familyname by exceeding her mother.
Though Mabel was slightly disappointed Lune did not get into Slytherin, she thought Ravenclaw to be the second-best. However, she did not hesitate to tell Lune she could best befriend some Slytherins and told her those were the people she'd feel most at home around, not to forget the best to be associated with. Lune didn't really think much of it and decided just to wait and see what her future holds.
