Blossom Ball - Underworld
Starlee giggled lightly at Everly's comment about the punch. "Yea, its just regular old punch! I got it from the fountain over there. It seems the others could be spiked with potions though. Like... is that allowed?" Her tone turned more serious. She deliberately decided to leave out the part where she didn't even notice anything off about the punches in the first place: she didn't want to appear stupid in front of Everly. Her thoughts now consisted of 'Should an adult be told about the spiked punch?' and 'Sure, it wasn't booze, but still.' "I mean... I guess it is for fun... but still, couldn't people get hurt?" she thought back to the girl from earlier, shouting about loudly. She wondered if Everly thought the same thing. Starlee hadn't noticed any adults around yet, but surely they had to know the ball was taking place, right? It was all anyone could talk about the entire month. After another internal sigh, she was beginning to wonder if coming to the ball was the right thing to do after all.
Her internal struggle with trying to have fun while being concerned about all the recent events was not helping the Slytherin out. She was honestly not in her normal happy-go-lucky mood, and while she tried to play it off, she was sure that Everly was noticing. Even saying that she didn't have to go with her if she didn't want to. But Everly also seemed like she wanted Starlee to go with her and, Starlee being the kind and caring person she is, said with a small smile, "No, it's alright, lets go on then." She tried to shove down her unease about participating, sincerely hoping there wouldn't be another duel for her to fail at.

Open to interactionsFor Moderation:Irina still had anger flowing through her veins for no apparent reason and was ‘releasing’ it by yelling at two Hogwarts students. The little girl had decided to yell back at her and it had her blood boil even more. What made this girl think that she could yell at her, and why did she think that she was possessed. She was obviously not possessed right? Right? RIGHT?!?! It made no sense for her to be but, she wasn’t normally angry and the drink did make her start feeling this way. ”OF COURSE I’M NOT POSSESSED YOU LITTLE GIRL I’M JUST ANGRY!!” Whatever she was angry about could have been left up to interpretation.
Then the girl started going on about why her dress was better than Irina’s and she did not care one bit. This girl was trying to make excuses for herself and Irina’s face would have been very irritated. When the girl had said that her mother had made the dress, Irina let out a little laugh, so the mom had made the gorgeous dress with the possible plan of getting her daughter a boyfriend. How sweet. ”IT MAKES SENSE THEN, YOUR MOM MAKES BEAUTIFUL CLOTHING BECAUSE SHE DOESN’T THINK THAT YOU COULD IMPRESS PEOPLE BY YOURSELF!”
Irina had just started getting mean and was still a furious mind so didn’t think much of it but, if being angry let out rudeness then what really was she hiding most of the time? At that moment, the boy she had screamed at responded to her in an equally angry tone. Irina was wholeheartedly enraged at his comment and her thoughts were racing, WHAT HAD HE JUST CALLED ME! I AM NOT SOME SORT OF FOREIGN SHITE, I’M NOT EVEN SURE WHAT THAT MEANS IN RUSSIAN BUT I HAVE A FEELING ITS NOT A NICE TERM! WHY DOES EVERYONE EVEN HAVE TO SPEAK ENGLISH HERE, I KNOW THAT I CAN SPEAK IT BUT IT’S NOT LIKE I KNOW EVERY SLANG WORD! I AM SO INFURIATED!
She was going to yell what she thought right back at this boy just like she had done last time. Except she was shaking a little bit in anger this time. ”DON’T….YOU…DARE…EVER…CALL..ME…THAT…AGAIN! YES, I AM FROM KOLDOVSTORETZ AND I AM PROUD ABOUT IT! AT LEAST I’M NOT FROM A SCHOOL NAMED AFTER HOGS AND WARTS! AND IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH ME YOU SHOULD LOOK IN THE MIRROR!” With that Irina turned back to the girl.
When Irina had tried to take the bag, just for the pure reason that she wanted it, the little girl held on tight and wouldn’t let her take it. That infuriated her and before she responded to the girl’s comment about the chocolate in the purse, she noticed the wand that was pointed at her. Just like that Flipendo was cast at her.
She attempted to dodge almost immediately and was so angry that the little girl thought that she could spell her, Irina Afanasyeva from Koldovstoretz. She wanted to do something to get back at the girl, something reckless that would make up for what the girl did to her. Her wand was still hidden in her dress so she didn’t feel the need to grab it right now. What she wanted to do was dump one of the drinks onto the girl’s dress. It would A, let Irina get back at her and B, make the girl’s dress a little less pretty.
She had planned to do this and IF the spell WAS successful she would run over to the nearest table, grab a drink attempt to spill it on the small brunette’s dress.
IF the spell was NOT successful and the boy tried to grapple her she would start screaming ”GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF ME YOU IDIOT!” and would attempt to wiggle her way out of it.

Mentioning:@Lavinia Cloven(Irina Afanasfeya),@ Aurora Ranvier,@Howard WhiteIt had only been a few minutes, or half an hour at the very least before Falentra started to hear shouting from not too far away. She couldn’t make out exactly what was being said, but soon after another voice with a similar tone responded back. It was enough to send the Slytherin towards the racket. Taking a few steps, or maybe a few more due to these damn heels, Falentra eventually got close enough to make something of the figures. They weren’t ones she had seen before. First years, maybe? No— well, maybe one; she had a British accent whilst the other sounded more foreign. Falentra assumed they had been arguing, though it turned out they were…complimenting one another aggressively. Strange.
In situations like these, Falentra would try to avoid them, especially when it came to girls bickering. At times they could be throwing petty insults back and forth for god knows how many hours at times. However, tonight, wands were involved. It was enough to get the Slytherins full attention. A small smirk appeared and her eyes narrowed to focus properly. She was that invested in the pair that she hadn’t even clicked on to Howard being present. It was only when Irina got up in his face that she had clicked on. Falentra knew what was to come from that moment on wasn’t going to be pretty. There was an instant reaction from the Hufflepuff, one she wasn’t surprised by. It didn’t take much to rile him up and if anything, she would most likely regret the attempt of bravery.
Whichever way this went down, Falentra would clap her hands together and laugh at the sight.
Some fruity juice colouring added to her lovely white gown would have given it a bit of personality. In her eyes, it was too plain, and if anything wearing all white… she was asking for trouble. Bound to get dirty at some point. Though she imagined this resulting in further chaos. Perfect.
If Howard was to succeed in grappling the girl, Falentra would roll her eyes, seeing it as being a tad over dramatic. He was strong enough to grab her wrists to prevent her from getting away. Though she stopped herself, a part of her wanted to shout out at Howard and tell him to let go of her. Not because it bothered her in how he had acted, but she wanted a fight to go down. The night was just getting interesting after all.

Actions: leaving the underworld to go to the trialsInteracting with @Vivian Fletcher and @Samantha SalwisLily was now a little scared. Just like she had arrived, she was leaving. Alone. “It’s fine. I know it was just the potion. I mean, I could’ve been in a much worse state, but, somehow, I got no effects.” She shrugged when she said this, then added “And, maybe I’ll see you when I come back?” She smiled at the two girls, then walked off, tying to stay calm. “Stay calm” She told herself. The real reason why she was doing this was to try and make herself noticed at Hogwarts. So far, she was probably something like ‘the first year welsh girl’. But she wanted to change that. If she performed well in the trials, people had to notice her.
Walking out, she thought that today had been a good day. She mad make two new friends: Vivian and Sam. She hoped that she would see both of them again soon. They’re both good people. They just don’t really want to do the trials. And with that, she was no longer celebrating. It was now time to compete.Banner by Lucia Fox

Kaegen's voice dropped back to their usual rasping whisper, something between a hoarse raven and an especially talkative cheese grater.interacting with @Selim Faust
"Forced? Not good. Must not have worked. Doesn't matter, I'll just adjust."
The leather notebook slipped out of the ravenclaw's sleeve, as rapid notes began to be jotted down on a page titled simply 'PORTALS., VII'.
But Kaegen was hardly even glancing at what he was writing. There was too much danger for that, too much to be wary of, too much to willfully ignore.
"We take advantage of the worlds. We portal now, or never. If we do this right, we can slip behind the 1-Cs once the blood starts to flow. There isn't any safer place, I've checked."
Kaegen's eyes were bright with terror, but also with ingenuity, a terrible kind of twisted genius that crawled it's way out of the sewers with malformed talons. They were a mouse cornered, a trapped rabbit, but a rabbit that had been carefully sharpening it's teeth for a long, long time. There would not be a tragedy tonight, not one that would befall them, or their new arm and head.
"I didn't want to risk our minds being read, so listen quickly. When this all goes down, and it will, you're going to need to repeat the phrase 'no, please, not again, please help me', and find a 1-C. Try to look like yourself, but with a sparkling glimmer of hopeful light. They're going to want to protect that spark, they always do. At least, if you can convince them it's there."
Kaegen would slip across a vial, corked and sealed with wax, containing a clear liquid which a label claimed to be 'authentic tears'
"I had to find those earlier. Not easy. They'll be your fake spark of light, in case of an emergency. The shadows are our fallback if our portals fail. I'm still calibrating exactly how we'll worldjump here, but I'll be done soon. Be ready by then."
There had been a time, long ago, when Kaegen had been only a first year, that they had smiled brightly at a fiery friend with red hair. But that Kaegen had been forgotten, cast aside like some dingy rag doll. They didn't exist anymore, weren't aware enough to cry out at the injustice, weren't tangible enough to turn in their grave at the grimace that now pretended to be what they once were. Kaegen lifted up their mask just enough to show a predatory grin, sharp teeth that were a stark, terrifyingly bright white, contrasting grossly with the sick grey of their skin.
The mask went back on in an instant, to the accompanying sound of
"Bloodied corpses, I've undershot again, that'll never open it. Greyworld at best. But judging by the climate here... whatever you guys respond with, make sure to add in a loud insult. I've got a list of them, if you need it."

Clapping her fingertips together like a hummingbird, Jayden applauded at the end of Evelynn's performance. "Bravo! Bravissimo! Encore, encore!" With a spring in her step, walking over, she would be there to greet the Gryffindor as soon as Evelynn stepped off the stage. "I loved it! You did awesome!" She trilled, every bit wholeheartedly. Despite knowing zilch about this girl she had just met, Jayden felt she had already found a kindred spirit with the fellow violinist. "Time for celebratory cupcake!" Already holding one in hand, out to Evelynn. Sugar was always a good distractor and reward, to take one's mind off the jitters of their performance. If the girl refused her offering, Jayden would keep it for herself, taking a bite out of her first morsel of the evening.
"Aw, poo. Now I gotta run all the way back to my cabin to put this away." She pouted slightly, before brushing it off. "Oh, I suppose I'll tote this around for now." Placing the instrument gently in her violin case and clicking it shut. Jayden didn't want to let one of her most prized possessions out of her sight – the reason why she had stuck around to watch Evelynn's entire performance – but reluctantly set the violin case down someplace "safe" where a House-elf directed and assured her nothing would happen to it. Freeing her hands as she headed back to the Underworld proper.

"Hady!" Sniffing out – quite literally, the scent of his cologne – Jayden made a beeline over to the boy, giving Hadrian a friendly swat on the arm. "You know what?" Her voice loud and obnoxious, drunk on adrenaline, giddy from excitement after being revved up by the Trials. An entire one-eighty since she last stormed away from Hadrian in bitter spite. She was all smiles and laughter now. "Ha! I don't even know what I was mad about before, but I'm sure glad to see you!" Right now, other priorities were dictating her elsewhere, hunting around the refreshment stands for something more filling to eat. "Oh my gosh, I'm starving! Where's the meat around here?"

It had been a few days since arriving here at Hogwarts and Nate was more than excited for today. He would never admit it but it was the truth. He stroked his suit one last time, making sure everything fit properly, and briefly examined himself in the mirror. He was wearing a burgundy red suit, a black shirt and matching tie. In the front pocket was some green stuff, as he liked to call it. He wanted to use it to fit in with the theme at least a little, since it was a Spring Ball after all.
On his way to the Courtyard he encountered only a few students, most of them were already there because he was late. But he was late on purpose, he hated arriving first at events. As soon as he stepped through the large door, darkness enveloped him and he took in the scene for a moment, letting his eyes adjust to the changed circumstances.
He had a date with Anja, but something inside him made him think she wouldn't show up. He didn't know why, it was just a feeling. Still, he would have a nice evening tonight, with or without a date. At least that was the plan and he was now stepping into the Underworld.
He walked through the many groups of students, silently observing the situation. The mood seemed tense, almost weird, and he drew his eyebrows together as he noticed more and more strange things. He shook his head, not worrying about it for the moment, maybe the students here at Hogwarts were just a little different. He grabbed one of the drinks and turned around when he suddenly heard a familiar voice.
With quick steps he walked towards his screaming friend, what was wrong with her? He had never seen her like this before. Nate didn't know what had happened, but he was sure she would kill the students if he didn't intervene. But just as he was standing right next to her, looking at her with concern, he started laughing. Had she really just said that? But Nate quickly pulled himself together, "Irina calm down." He now spoke in Russian and just as he was about to grab her by the shoulder a spell came flying.
"Woow, what's going on here?" he asked now startled and looking at everyone with wide eyes. He had stumbled backwards a few steps from the shock and was shaking his head at the whole scene. Everyone must be going crazy here, he thought to himself, and took a sip of the drink to calm himself down.
If Irina fails to dodge the spell Nate drops down next to her and will try to help her up

Rping as Hadrian Zuheir with Jayden (@andrew vanes)
Friendships for Hadrian were more often than not, disingenuous. Those he allowed in his vicinity usually had the same interest, status and power and any other stereotypical pureblood factor that would fit the list. What he and Jayden had shared was more or less history, a past that his pureblood duties and aristocratic interests had veered him away from. Of course, Hadrian doubted Jayden would comply with his request as if she were just any other girl, but at least there was an attempt made. Jayden was no Aurelia. There was no one he knew who could get away with such a nickname, he'd tried reminding her in the past, but to no avail. A smirk curled a corner of his lips as the brunette stormed away towards the trails.
The trails would mean a dirtied suit and Hadrian was having none of that. Hadrian would simply loiter One didn't need to have a keen eye to notice the behavioural changes of folks around. A heated argument would kindle at aside, the different accent coming into play as the argument began. Hadrian would not intervene, this was not worthwhile his time. But he would wait for Jayden's return. If she thought she could slip off his radar, she was wrong.
Soon enough, Jayden returned. Coming back into his sight, Hadrian would pour her a drink from the punch bowl in a cordial gesture. She was clearly much livelier than before. "Not much great food around here. But you look like you could use the hydration."

Interacting with: @NobodyMentioning: @Frost CiraWaiting near the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room, Sylvain would ask those headed towards the ball if they'd seen Frost. They'd talked surprisingly little the past few days, and since the theme was "Greek" Sylvain had taken it upon himself to dress as similarly to Zeus as he could. God of Gods was an interesting choice, but it also allowed him to wear some clothes he'd had put away for some time. An outfit repurposed was exactly his kind of modus operandi. In his hand, he held a corsage. The white flower was mailed to him by his ex-foster mothers after a letter asking about etiquette for dating and dances. Keen on following their advice, Sylvain would do his best just to be himself tonight. He was assured that he was enough.
Sylvain did his best to imagine what Frost might be wearing tonight. She was graceful with skin like white marble, and without a degree of doubt, she would be likely to dress with that in mind. When thinking of the Greek gods, Sylvain would return to the same one over and over again in his mind. Demeter, so maybe something green. An earthly vibe with an element of love for life was what he decided fitted her best, but perhaps she would choose differently? It was his place to wait and see. As the time passed, more and more students in garb headed towards the ball. Syl stood alone while waiting patiently, flowers in hand. Not letting his nerves get the best of him, he would wait for his dance partner loyally.
Arriving at the party after it had already started would have its benefits of course. For starters, they could witness the punch bowl and those who drank from it well before experimenting for themselves. Continuing to count their blessings, Sylvain would know that whatever trials lay ahead of the pair, he could pick and choose his battles more wisely having arrived arm in arm with his date. In the worst case scenario, showing up later would at least let them put out whatever fires the first years started without them. Regardless of what her usually colorful style decided on wearing out tonight, he was thrilled at the prospect of dancing with her tonight.Action: Waiting for Frost to get ready

There was a small movement as Flash's hand drew closer, an instinct it seemed many students already had, this fear of closeness. Flash tried to leave Thomas' personal bubble in-tact, but it looked like it didn't take much to pop it. Good to know, at least. To Flash's comment, Thomas replied with another retort, getting a single huff of laughter as he retracted his hand to keep to himself. He really did enjoy how Thomas formulated his responses. Defensive, humorous, cocky. If he had known, he might have tried speaking to Thomas himself a long time ago.
To Flash's minor push back, Thomas replied by calling him polished, alluding to rumors and Flash's acceptance of his company. Flash's brows would raise along with a furtive curl at the edge of his lips, clearly interested in the topic yet waiting to hear all that Thomas had to say. "Just curious." Not much, as it would turn out, as he quickly dropped it. It seemed purposeful, how he'd imply Flash was ignorant, or how talking about Thomas was meant to be a 'fun' topic. Hard to say if it was, with how little he actually knew Thomas. Best to operate under the assumption that he had an agenda that he was pushing, and would use language to further it.
Did he want Thomas to tell him his 'story', as he called it? Naturally, Flash loved stories, especially ones about people. Flash would crack his neck and stretch his shoulders as Thomas started drinking further, perhaps prepared to down the whole thing right as the night was beginning. Such a date as this was beneath him, he could have had someone who hung on his every word, who wanted to dance. He could be studying, or reading a book instead. Clearly Thomas was unconcerned about being entertaining, though that had its own charm. A good question instead was why he invited Flash in the first place, why he was here, instead of anywhere else.
"Indeed." Flash would reply, but give no new information. He was too busy thinking of how he wanted to ask his own questions. He doubted Thomas cared much about his growing proclivity anyway, but he wouldn't deny it. "May I?"
Flash would take another drink if offered again, as bad a decision as it was. His questions would have to wait for a better time, as the topic quickly veered into poetry. His comprehension somewhat slowed, Flash would be more visibly upset than he might normally show. Inhibitions were failing, though once the words clicked, he once again looked more at ease in the conversation, if not apathetic.
"Dante? Do you mean the Divine Comedy?" He'd say, not being familiar with the author's full name. Assuming he was right, he continued. "I haven't read it, I'm afraid. At most I know the basic concept, I've seen some provocative illustrations inspired by it. It's a journey through several layers of hell, as I understand it..."
Flash looked around, slightly bemused. Wasn't he in 'hell' right now? Voluntarily, as well. Maybe this conversation was meant to serve a distraction, though Flash would eventually find a way to get what he wanted. He was patient. "Why do you ask?"
