Dakota paused, hearing Henry’s offer she seemed to have expected him to request something in return. Keeping her gaze steady, the corners of her lips twitched. She waited a few moments before she began to speak again, seeming to have waited to hear Henry’s request “oh—erm, that would be amazing, thank you Henry.” giving him a warm smile Dakota seemed to relax a bit now before she began to speak again “I’m claustrophobic, when there’s people in the library it just feels like the walls are gonna close in on me so I try to avoid being in there for too long.”. Running a hand along her wrist, she blinked and listened to what Henry said next.
”Of course, Henry, thank you for letting me spend time around him.” giving Henry another smile she let out a breath. Reaching her hand over she gently rubbed behind the ear of the orange cat, nodding lightly “it wasn’t too hard, just wrap yarn around a styrofoam ball, glue it down and leave a little string for the cat to chase.” pausing for a moment she blinked. Dakota had listened to the question, tilting her head lightly she nodded “it’s how we introduced him to them as a kitten to get him interested, it’s just his normal now.” straightening up Dakota seemed to watch the area around them.

The young teen nodded a bit with a small smile toward Dakota's words, choosing not say anything as he crossed his legs and leaned his back against the tree a bit.

However when he would hear her next words, the young teen would look at Dakota in the eye and listen to her. Nodding along with a small smile before waiting a few seconds till he would speak softly" your claustrophobia? That must be difficult at times but I'll always help you Dakota with anything, even if it includes returning books for you," Henry would give her a small smile and continued to look at her as he leaned aginest the tree. He did want to help her and even get to know her better, he never had friends before Hogwarts so now he wants to do all he can to keep his friends and make new ones. Loyalty is his strongest quality.

Loki would look up at Dakota when he would feel her petting him before giving a single meow as if to ask the girl to continued. Meanwhile Henry would nod slightly to Dakota as he looked over at his orange feline with a smile before speaking" you can thank me by introducing me to Kaelum some time," the young teen smiled toward the hufflepuff for a moment.

Henry would listen to how she made the yarn ball and figured he should try it out himself, perhaps make a few for Sherlock, Chaska, Sparta, and Alala - the cats that his friends owned.

The young teen would listen to the girl again talk about introducing Kaelum to different things involving catnip. Wondering if perhaps he should give Loki some during the summer holiday after all they would he moving since his father was marring Rose's mother.

Smiling at Henry she let out a breath “thank you, that would be wonderful.” Dakota was genuinely thankful for Henry, having found someone she wouldn’t have to worry getting a judging or condescending look from. “It can be difficult at times..but I normally try to avoid places where crowds gather quickly or a tight spot.” when Dakota had finished this her gaze seemed to be brought towards something before she heard what Henry said next. Tilting her head softly she gave a nod with a laugh”maybe sometime during the summer—we’ll have to see since I live in Scotland.”.
Rubbing the spot between Loki’s ears again Dakota kept her gentle smile paired with a soft look to her eyes, though after a few moments she seemed to go back to peering at a certain spot. With this peering it was almost like she was trying to figure something out, though Henry couldn’t be sure exactly what she was looking at. After a moment or so Dakota blinked back over at Henry, her blue eyes glittering as she puffed out a soft breath. Biting her lip she give Henry another warm smile, keeping her head tilted “do you believe in legends, Henry?”.

OOC Note: Soooo Srry for the wait!
"I just want to help you, Dakota after all we are friends," Henry replied to the girl with a small smile. The young teen most days just wanted to help his friends, it was a wonder how he wasn't sorted into hufflepuff or gryffindor with his loyalty and longing to help others.

"I can see how it can be difficult at times but now you aren't alone, you have a friend to help you through it," Henry replied giving the girl a soft smile and letting his blue eyes look toward her. Before their conversation moved over to the summer holiday and meeting up, in the past the young teen was able to know instantly if he could but now things were difficult since his father was getting married and they were likely going to live again.

"I have to see to but I'll write to for the whole summer," Henry replied figuring that if they couldn't meet up then writing to each other could work just as well.

The young teen smiled toward the first year before eyeing his orange feline who stretch between them and stayed there but still wasn't purring. Henry would smile gently at him before leaning his back against the tree and taking a breath, staring out at the rest of the grounds where everything looked perfect.

The boy would move his head a bit when he heard Dakota's words but needed a moment to think. Legends was something complicated to the teen, he wasn't one to believe in fairy tales or even in seers but it all depended on what the legend was in the end to.

"It depends on the legend, why?" Henry asked curiously wondering why Dakota would just have asked him that.

Dakota kept her smile, she wasn’t use to being helped, usually doing most things on her own as she was too nervous to request someone lend a hand. Nodding, Dakota let out a breath as she listened to Henry, not exactly sure what to say expect murmuring another thank you as her smile grows a bit. When summer had came up again Dakota nodded and tilted her head “of course, I’ll make sure to write back.” Dakota didn’t exactly expect to be written to for the whole summer but guessed if she was she would be well enough to respond.
When Henry had leaned back Dakota switched the way she was sitting, now sitting perched on her knees when she heard what Henry said next. Grinning a bit, Dakota is able to quickly get up from the position she’s in, looking over at Henry “just wait a moment and I’ll show you.” with saying this Dakota hurriedly makes her way to a bush Henry is just now able to notice. The bush was hidden by shadows for a bit before the sun moved and Dakota seems to have noticed it well before asking Henry that question. Once she stands back up, in between her fingers is a white-petaled flower with a yellow center, Dakota gingerly making her way back to Henry and offering it to him “there’s a story from ancestors behind this if you’d like to hear it.”.

Henry nodded to Dakota when he caught her mumble reply about helping her return and get books from the library. Even through he was a introvert and suffered from anxiety that didn't change the fact that the young teen enjoyed helping his friends more often then he did perfer helping himself.

He also that helping his friends meant he was doing something good and someone was benefiting from it. When he helped himself then he saw himself as being selfish and choosing to do something got himself then for his friends and family. It was mainly a unhealthy response form his anxiety that most days circled above him like a rain cloud about to shower him but he was working on it. Slowly.

"Brilliant and I'll try to write everyday if I could," Henry replied remembering a time when he didn't have anyone to write to then last summer he only had one which was Logan but now he had a group of friends to write and he couldn't wait to get started. Of course he still didn't want the summer holiday to arrive, if he has a choice then he would have perfer to stay at Hogwarts with Dakota and the rest of his friends. Reading or looking for magical creatures or just laughing the day away, now that sounded like a fantasy to the teen.

"Alright," Henry replied as he watched Dakota get up and turn to a brush that looked to be growing with the shadows of the tree. It wasn't a surprise that Henry just noticed it and would smile toward Dakota when she returned holding, he noticed a white petaled flower with a yellow center.

Loki would eye the two for a moment before stretching out his back and remaining between the two students as Henry took the flower gently into the palms of his hands with a soft small as he spoke"yes, I would like to hear it Dakota," Henry would turn his eyes from the delicate but beautiful flower to Dakota.

Dakota sat back down by Henry, reaching over and running a hand along the petals for a moment before blinking up at him “this flower is called a Cherokee Rose.” smiling sweetly, Dakota retracts her hand and sets it in her lap. Taking in a soft breath she begins to speak again “I know about the tale behind it because I myself am of Cherokee descent on my fathers side.” after explaining this Dakota was ready to go into the sadder history of the rose Henry now held.
Biting her lip Dakota paused before giving him a sadden look “in the years the trail of tears was happening, Cherokee people were also forced from their homes, tears mingled with the dirt.” taking a breath Dakota glanced back at Henry for a moment before returning her attention to the rose “the Elders knew the survival of their children depended on the strength of the mothers and the other women around them, so, they called upon the Heaven Dweller.” Dakota remembered this part well, a promise that aided in providing strength “the Elders told him of their suffering and the fear their children would not survive to rebuild the Cherokee nation, so, to let them know he cared, he told them he’d provide a sign.”.
Turning to look at Henry Dakota puffed out a sigh “he told the Elders that when morning came to tell the women to look back along the trail where their tears had fallen, he would have a plant grow that had seven leaves for the seven clans of the Cherokee. Amidst this plant sat a delicate white rose and it had a gold colored center.” pursing her lips Dakota tilted her head. She was taking a moment to catch her breath before carrying on “he told them it would defy anything that tried to destroy it. And so, in the morning the Elders prompted the women to look back along the trail which they had already walked and watched as the flowers budded and grew and just like the plant the women felt strong and beautiful, they knew they’d have the courage and determination to protect their children.” smiling softly at Henry, Dakota seemed to have finished the story but she wasn’t done speaking.
Bring her hands up Dakota placed them around Henry’s, gently, cupping the flower with him. Taking in a soft breath, her gaze was gentle towards him “as long as the flowers continue to bud, you have a chance of finding your twin Henry, they were growing here for a reason.”.

Henry held the gently in his hands and in between Dakota and himself as he watcher her run her fingers over the petals. However he would turn his blue eyes to hers as he listened to her explain the legend.

A Cherokee Rose. Like the tribe that the muggle history book spoke about that lived in north american and went through hardships. Wait a moment is Dakota a cherokee?

Henry stay silent and nodded a bit as he listened to the girl's words. Dakota was a Cherokee and he couldn't help but reply" cool," the young teen learned about them from books in a library but always thought their culture and history was quite interesting so he was intrigued to hear that his friend was of their descent.

Henry listened to his friend with a small nod and a feeling of wanting to comfort the girl as he continued to listen to her words on the trail of tears. Henry nodded a bit toward her words, catching each one and hanging on them as he was curious to hear what the end result was also he felt questions bubble within his mind on the haven dweller and what sign he provided.

Henry listened to his friend's his words and one of his questions answered, the sign was a flower wiry seven leaves to represent the seven clans of the Cherokee with a small white, gold centered flower growing from the center. The flower that Henry currently held gently in his hands and would gaze down at it for a moment before looking back at Dakota.

Henry smiled at Dakota's words as he listened to the ending, it was beautiful and amazing how the women attitude changed from seeing the flower and decided that the legend he heard from his friend would be one of the only ones that he would believe because it came from such beautiful and strong roots or origins. However he couldn't help but wonder if the heaven dweller was a wizard and used magic to grow the flowers but kept that to himself.

Henry felt Dakota's hands on his as they both now cupped the flower, a small smile to her words as his blue eyes drifted toward the flower before back at her as he replied softly" thank you for telling me about the legend and your origins, Dakota. I would love to hear more about them sometime," smiling a little before he moved his eyes back toward the small delicate flower and he spoke" and thank you, I hope one day we can find her but now knowing the legend, it helps me feel a bit better and more determined that we'll find her."

No worries! Take your time with responses if needed! And thank you.
Dakota gives Henry a sweet smile, retracting her hands and placing them in her lap. Taking in a deep breath she tilts her head lightly, seeming to be thinking about it “maybe I’ll find more things in my dads journals.” she wasn’t completely sure of all the tales since the last few she heard was when she was only a toddler. Blinking at Henry she bites down on her lip before she begins to speak again ”I don’t doubt you’ll find her, you just need a boost of hope and determination.” of course, it was a harder than it sounded, but normally it was better to have something to bring you hope.
Looking towards the bush that the flowers are blooming on she sighed, pursing her lips as she seemed to be thinking. She wasn’t sure what else she could say to Henry, so instead of speaking she reached over and scratched Loki behind the ear. Smiling back at Henry again she too in a breath before opening her mouth “my grandparents on my dads side use to have a bush that grows the roses on their farm. Alongside the apricot tree.” remembering the layout on the farm was amusing since right behind it was a ditch Dakota fell into when she was younger but the land was also quite beautiful.

Henry held the small, dedicate beautiful flower in his hands as his eyes moved toward Dakota and listened to her words with a smile.

"You should, if it's anything like the tale then there are amazing," Henry replied wanting to know more about her origins and the Cherokee Indians. The young teen thought his friend was interesting and had questions circling around his mind but he choose to stay silent, he didn't want to overwhelm her or appear rude so he remain silent. Looking into her eyes and listening to her words.

Henry nodded a bit with a smile as he replied" thank you Dakota, for telling me the tale and for your friendship. Your am amazing person and amazing friend." Henry smiled at her and for a few moments there was silence as the teen moved his eyes back to the flower considering something.

Loki would perk up when Dakota starched his ears and would look at her, giving her a short meow before stretching out on the grass.

Henry would listen to Dakota's words and look back toward her, nodding to her words with a small smile. It always interest Henry when others discussed their grandparents since he never knew his or was close with them, taking a moment before speaking" that sounds nice Dakota, if you want we can talk about them and your father?" Moving his eyes toward the great lake and smiling.

Henry would move toward the edge of the Gray lake and knell, looking back at Dakota as he spoke"this flower inspires courage and determination then what if we placed it in the water, let it drift through the current where it could provide a symbol of determine for Ann," setting the flower gently into the water then moving back to the tree. Next to Dakota. As the flower floated through the water.
