The incendio went smoothly as planned. For a kid whose soul was not completely intact to her body due to lack of sleep, it was a really good attempt of fire conjuration. Though, Dealla did not master the art of blowing a candle, or in this case, a fiery twig. Aurora smiled a bit while looking at the older student who went along with her antic. "It's not much, but i hope you like it." Not long after that, another older Ravenclaw, Carolyn arrived with a really cute drawing of rats. They had never really talk one on one, it was more of a scary situation where all the Eagles bonded through the trauma of the shadowy spider attack. “Hi, Caro-“ She was not sure when people can address each other by their first names, but since Carolyn was older, she decided to go for her last name, for now, “-Hunt, how are you?” The last time Aurora saw her, she was not doing so good with all of those poisonous bites from the not so itsy bitsy spider. Yes, it has been months since it happened, but emotional scars tend to last longer than physical ones.
Aurora’s droopy eyes litted up a little when Carolyn complimented her glass painting, it was nice to get praises from people once in a while, but to get it from another artist was a different level of excitement. “Ah- th- thank you, yours is really lovely as well, you should make a business out of that.” Just as she thought, witches and wizards are way more gifted than muggles. One by one, more people came to the great lake. It would be inappropriate to abruptly say ‘okay imma go, bye’ when there was a delicious cake waiting to be ingested. The prefect and the other might think that she was a bit rude or something, of course, she did not want them to think that way, besides, it was a good opportunity to socialize more, which was very energy draining. Winnie, the other fellow Ravenclaw seemed to be the bubbly and pretty much rainbow and sunshine all the time. Aurora waved and trying to smile as friendly as she could to everyone while maintaining her energy level so she could still function like a normal person even if she felt a little bit drowsy.
Then, Dealla offered everyone to write on one of the cards. Aurora took one and searched for a pen in her bag and began to write something and proceed to eat the cake.Did you know that cows hate country music?
they produce less milk than those who don't listen to country music
i don't know why i wrote it here, but happy birthday Dealla Prince!

Thirteen's the Charm(er)
Briefly interacting with everyone but mostly with @Dealla Prince and @Aurora Ranvier
Thankfully, Dealla seemed to like the presents and Carolyn felt a huge weight lifted off her shoulders. "Yes I did," she confirmed with a smile. "I had some classes in the past and now it's became a hobby." At first, it was just her mother's way to keep her daughter occupied while she was at work but it turned out Carolyn actually had some talent. "I hope you like it too," she added with a smile when Ninkilim decided to make an appearance. It was a nice interaction so far and Aurora's presence was a welcome one too. She didn’t really know the girl but it felt like they had some things in common.
"Thank you and please... Carolyn is fine." In all honesty, she was pleasantly surprised. The raven haired girl was always hyperaware of the hierarchy but that was her Asian upbringing talking. She understood that part of her life would be lost on most of the other kids here and she was fine with that. So much so that it felt weird to be called by her last name at this point. Then again, after the recent developments at home, she wasn't fond of the family name in general. "I'm well... Thank you for asking," she kept the young girl entertained while Dee worked on her vase for the flowers. She wasn't in fact okay but her classmate didn't need to know that. Nobody did and she was perfectly fine with it, very much used to dealing with things on her own. The injury wasn’t the main cause of her sour mood anyway. Still she kept her smile, having already mastered hiding any negative emotions. A strange skill for a thirteen year old but useful nonetheless. In this case, she was genuinely grateful for the interest though so it wasn’t all that hard to do.
Before Carolyn managed to come up with a question of her own, other guests started flooding in. Exactly as she expected, Dee was always surrounded by people and today was not an exception. All of the newcomers were familiar to her yet she never really spoke to any of them. She was starting to feel a bit uncomfortable but decided to bear with it. She already promised herself to get to know the Ravenclaw Prefect better and she would do her best to keep that promise. "Um... Hello. It's nice to meet you." Carolyn greeted everyone politely as they were introduced to her. The girl, Winnie, seemed a bit peculiar, making her wonder about her relationship with the birthday girl and Ruka. It looked like she was truly attached to those two. There is probably a story to it, she decided but didn't ask any questions. It wouldn't be polite considering they didn't know each other well.
All in all, it was just nice to see all kinds of different people gathering around to wish her classmate happy birthday. "I won't be having any but thank you..." Carolyn finally spoke again when they were all sitting on a blanket and Dee offered the cake. She didn't really like sweets too much. Or rather, she didn't have an opportunity to develop a taste for it since her grandma always wanted her to eat healthy. She did refuse the pastry with a smile though as she didn't want to come across as rude. "I will gladly write you a note though." That was actually something she could appreciate. It was definitely easier to write her feelings down on a piece of paper than say them aloud. Especially with so many other people present.
And so, Carolyn took a pen and a piece of paper and sat down next to Aurora. “Say, does any of your family members have a medical background?" She asked absentmindedly. Then as she finished writing the message, her brain kicked in full speed. "If you don't mind me asking of course," she added quickly. "It's just that you had some good information on how to deal with the dead tissue back then so I was wondering if that was the case. I wouldn't have known myself if my father wasn't a surgeon."

As Aaron approached the group down by the lake, he had seen them all gathering on a picnic blanket. He recognized Dealla (of course), Carolyn and Ruka, all of whom he had properly met before. He recognized Aida - although they had never properly conversed outside of maybe a hello in the halls or in class, she had a memorable appearance. He recognized Aurora - he knew all the Quidditch players considering how dedicated he had once been to the craft, though he didn't expect her to know him. But there were also two more younger students he couldn't identify. He assumed younger because he knew everyone in his year, and they certainly didn't look older.
"Happy birthday, Dealla!" Aaron said when he finally reached them, a smile gracing his lips that didn't quite reach his eyes. But it was enough for a casual observer like Dee and her guests, who would be far more focused on the cake and the apparent water balloons scattered around. His brown eyes fell to the pile of items that had collected around her, and he felt his stomach sink and his smile falter. A gift. Right. He knew he had been forgetting something, even his Remembrall had said as much.
In his mind, Aaron tried to calm himself by reminding that there was no way he could have gotten a gift in time anyway. He had only found out about this party yesterday, when Dealla had invited him after a class. He would have said no if he'd been invited via owl - as the normally charismatic Hufflepuff had recently been avoiding people at all costs - but he couldn't say no to her face. She was a friend, after all. But he was an awful friend in return, not keeping better track of birthdays lately and failing to bring gifts. This was perfect. He knew he shouldn't have come.
"Your gift got delayed," Aaron said just a moment later, the pit in his stomach growing. It wasn't technically a lie. He would get her a gift, but the more accurate thing to say would have been that he'd forgotten. His eyes lifted from the pile of presents to look at Dee's sitting form with a resumed half-smile. "But I wanted to come spread some birthday cheer, of course!" It was a true sentiment. The only reason he had shown up was to be supportive of his friend. Becoming a teenager was a huge deal, after all. He - in his advanced age of thirteen - would know.
The Hufflepuff boy still in his uniform, minus the robes, took a seat on an edge of the blanket semi-close to Dee and Carolyn - the two people he was most familiar with. He waved to everyone as he sat and offered smiles. He didn't intend to stay for long - just long enough to find an opening to leave without drawing attention - but for now he would join the festivities and try not to overthink like he had been prone to do this last month.

Thirteen's the Charm(er)
Ileen was late. She hated it to be late, especially when someone had a special moment they wanted to share. But today had been screwed up since the morning, like it was a jinxed day for the young Slytherin. She had so many last minute duties she had almost missed the birthday of her best friend. Of course, since the ball it was a bit different between her and Dee, but she loved her still. It was just their huge first fight and a good friendship survived that anyway. The bottomline was: She would never miss her friend's birthday party.
She had given the Ravenclaw a heads up because she really had not been sure if she would make it. But of course, she had tried everything to make it possible. And now, she was running over the grounds to the lake where the small gathering would take place. The fact that Dee already knew tons of people and would not be lonely had calmed Ileen's bad conscience a bit. And indeed, the new Ravenclaw prefect was in the middle of a bunch of people.
Ileen slowed down and tried to sort her hair, ignoring the short thought that Dee probably didn’t need her there anyway. The young Slytherin had changed her school uniform to shorts and an orange shirt. Her brown hair had recently been tied into a semi-elegant knot. But her sprint had loosened many strands that now curled around her heated face.
Ileen took another deep breath to calm her gasping breathing, brushed a strand out of her eyes, and then approached the group with a grin. She held her homemade gift tightly in her left hand as she weaved her way through the people.
She waved to Aaron, Ruka and Aida, but of course wanted to talk to Dee first.
Completely ignoring her current interaction, she lunged at her friend and performed a mixture of tackle and hug. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I MADE IT!”
Then she put her wonderful gift, a wreath of folded paper flowers she had painstakingly made herself, on Dee’s brown hair. With a beam she nodded. “Yes, I knew it. A flower crown for the birthday girl and the princess.”

He might as well mark this as a day that will be remembered among the Tone family for generations. 10th June. The first time Hanako Tone ever got a genuine birthday invite. One that wasn’t a prank. What a shocker! He never thought the day would come. Birthdays didn’t mean much to him. The only birthday he ever celebrated was his grandmothers and Percivals. The latter only very recently. In conclusion, he wasn’t a birthday person and even less of a birthday invitee. His family never thought birthdays were worth celebrating ,so it never bothered him much that he missed out on the cool parties….with plenty of floating balloons… and said-to-be scrumptious cakes… no-animal zones... . Okay, yea maybe he was a bit curious about it but it wasn’t on his mind frequently.
But since getting an invite to this particular party, Dee’s birthday was the only thing that’s on his mind lately. The two had grown a comradeship friendship. That was the term Hanako liked to use to avoid questions. But truly, he felt like he was being experimented on by the eccentric Ravenclaw. She kept referring to him as experiment 626 and he had never been more confused in his life. The nicknames he had gotten in his life were fairly easy to understand. Slug boy. Boy with a feminine name. But 626? Huh??? He had long given up on understanding what she meant.
He wasn’t a good present-giver either. He didn’t want to give Dee a present that could last for a long time. The reason being that it would be too much for him. He didn’t want Dee to think he was thoughtful and wanted to be remembered by an item. The fact that Dee might keep his present scared him immensely. It was uncomfy. Fortunately, flowers were easy to get and he was a master at weaving flower crowns. Sure he had done this a couple of times already, but there was a little twist to his gift.
And so in casual clothes, he came and graced the party with his honorable presence. The first thing people might notice was not his face, but the large basket he held by the hip. In the basket was not only 1, but numerous flowers crowns. So many that petals would be seen everywhere on him. Particularly, his hair. Which went unnoticed by the boy. No surprise there.
“Oh, thank god I didn’t waste my time”. He was worried that the party’s main theme would be flowers. Would’ve ruined a big part of his gift. To his relief, several people had already arrived. Mostly strangers but a few familiar faces were seen. Unfortunately, all of the familiar faces were faces he didn’t like seeing. He wasn’t afraid of saying names.

3.Ileen Knight
Whom will be referred to as Nasties as a group for easier writing
Literally, why. He understands why they were friends with Dee. But why on this day in particular? Why this time when he has a humongous basket of flower crowns held by his arm. Yare yare.How bothersome This was going to take a lot of pride to do. And fortunately, with the power of friendship comradeship, he swallowed his pride and shouted loud and clear;
“ ANYONE ALLERGIC TO FLOWERS HERE? NO? GREAT THANKS!” If there were anyone who spoke up or raised their hand, it would be mostly ignored by Hanako since he had his focus turned to other things. Like coming up with compliments without hurting his brain. People misunderstand how hard that is.
And with that, he started coming up to every guest available, his hand swiftly placing one flower crown upon their head ( and if they were beyond his reach, he would carefully throw it hoping the flower crown would land). He would say a few words to them. Very basic ones, of course. Casual enough for a stranger to stay without sounding creepy. Examples being, ‘ You look great today?’ ‘Your outfit looks really nice?’ ‘I love the vibes you’re giving?’. With how robotic it sounded coming out of the boy’s mouth, people could mistake it as a question instead. But he applauded himself for not letting a pesky comment or a barf stop him. Good for him! He deserves an award. The first few people were easy. Hanako could see a few familiar faces but had never interacted with them before, therefore they are irrelevant once this party ends, obviously. Until they stopped being nameless to him, he would address them with the following nicknames:
Pinky ( @Aurora Ranvier )
Classy ( @Eun-ji Lee Hunt )
Strawberry ( @Winnie Harper )
Elfy ( @Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood )
And… that Hufflepuff kid ( @Aaron Jones ). For some reason, Hanako had a difficult time thinking of a horrible nickname for him. He was going to be Smiley for now.
Now that he was done with the easy part, he had to do the same job to the nasties. He needed to say compliments and give flower crowns to the 3 nasties who had- in their own special way- emotionally tortured Hanako. And the Japanese boy was not ready to forgive. Nevertheless, he attempted to do his job. But his hesitance was apparent. The only thing the other 3 had gotten aside from very forced compliments and flower crowns was the various shades of disgust from Hanako’s face. He didn’t stay long for idle chit chat and he hoped it would stay that way throughout the party. a.k.a feel free to torture him, ya >:D
Finally, he came to the birthday girl, setting down the almost empty basket. “ Don’t worry, Dee. I didn’t forget about you. I just wanted to celebrate your birthday with something even more valuable than a flower crown~.” he gave her a smug look before gesturing to.. Himself. “ Me~. I'm your gift. My presence shall make you the happiest birthday girl, ever~” He then proceeded to show various poses to make his point and prove his seriousness.
Of course, that wasn’t the real gift but he couldn’t resist doing it. Having this birthday party be the first one he was ever invited to got to his head. And now that he did, he can address the shame he will feel once he returned to the dorm.
“.Ah, but that’s not all~. Watch this, watch this” he took his eyes away from Dee and faced the other party guests. His eyes landed on the nasties and he needed to remind himself that he was doing this only for Dee. All this pain was worth it in the end. “ Right folks, in honour of celebrating Daella’s birthday, I decided to give her the best gift anyone could receive from me. For today- and today only! I will not be giving any insult to any of you! 24 hours of best behavior from Hanako Tone, yeup. Better believe it!” He beamed enthusiastically as he posed in a superman pose as if he truly was proud of making this announcement.
It was the best birthday gift! It had a limited time (24 hours) but it would give Dee just enough joy as receiving a gift. It was equivalent to giving a few free chore coupons. The Ravenclaw had worked herself off trying to get him to become a better character. Most of them ended in failures and no notable changes have been made. But his aim today was to give her a break from guiding him so much (With his best ability) . She did help him without asking for anything else in return except cooperation. He’d like to show her just how much he had changed due to her interference.
Of course, he regretted it quite a bit once he knew the Nasties were here. But he only had to deal with it. Dee deserved it, although Hanako would never say that out loud. His only hope was that he wouldn’t get kicked out of the party too soon. His gift wasn’t the most... accepting.

Just as Ileen was arriving, Aida was getting to her feet. She waved in return, and greeted back anyone who had greeted her. The cake had been just as amazing as last year, but Aida couldn’t remember Dee having so many friends before. Even though they were outside, seeing and smelling and hearing this many people around was making Aida increasingly uncomfortable. As time went on it became harder and harder to enjoy herself, eyes flitting from person to person. Snippets of conversation whirled around her but she couldn’t focus on any one of them long enough to understand, as hot as it was getting under her skin.
Flashing a look at Dee, Ileen, and then the rest of the veritable mob of people at the party, Aida felt a wave of discomfort wash over her. This was supposed to be an easy place for her to be, familiar as she was with the lakeside. Yet, Aida’s haunted past had followed her even here. It was already hard enough to sit through class, but Aida’s endurance was significantly less when not threatened with a failing grade. At this rate, Aida was going to make a scene by losing her meager lunch, inevitably ruining Dee’s festivities.
“Sorry, I don’t feel so well. I need to go.” Aida nodded at her friends and half waved to the mass of strangers as she half-stumbled, half-loped out into a dark patch of trees where it would be hard for anyone to follow.
