Aida followed Alexander and his date into the blossom area. He was a smart boy, which was of course one of the reasons Aida liked him. Observant as well. Alexander saw her there, following, watching. It was not unusual for Aida to watch, but … with a face like hers now, perhaps it would have been better had she been under the invisibility cloak.
As Alexander’s face turned and recognized Aida’s, she saw what would have normally made her exuberant: his incredibly joyous face. He was just so damn happy. It was what she had been fighting for every. Single. GrueLLING. DAY. She trained and trained, trying to convert herself into a weapon for the sole purpose of reclaiming their memories so that he could be happy again. She was sacrificing so much, pushing through so much pain, enduring burning and blows and curses… all just so one little pink girl could make him happier than Aida had ever seen.
Growling audibly, Aida’s left hand clutched her wand, forcibly binding her arm to her side. If Aida’s wish to see Alexander happy again was coming true, shouldn’t she also be happy? How could she now feel such misery? From where came this avalanche of contempt against this pink puppet? That’s what she was… right? His puppet… or had he become seduced?
No, no, no! This was not the way to taking back his lost self! Surely this joy now was an incredible act. He was good at deception. Yes, but… no. Aida knew Alexander better than anyone else at the school. That was true joy, the likes of which she had never seen before. What the hell!
Aida took four steps in their direction. She should do something. Something to… understand how she could make Alexander so happy. Something to… Take control, said the voice of the White General in her mind. You can make him more happy than she can, but you must take control of the situation.
The voice didn’t mock, didn’t shoot her down. It wanted something, and scorning Aida would not accomplish that goal.
“I…” Aida began to say as she stepped into audible range of the two. Yet, her tongue caught in her throat. The only thing she had known for months on end was violence through duelling. For her now to attempt any other response than what she had trained for felt alien. Her right hand reached out for just a moment before it went back down. Her left hand’s knuckles were even whiter than her skin as they clutched her blackwooded wand. Why was Aida not happy that her wish appeared to be granted?
“I hope we can get them back someday,” she said with a tone like dark glass at the bottom of the sea. No, there was no reason to do what she had trained for. This was not the one who had stolen his, their, memories… right? Aida nodded and attempted a smile at Alexander, but as much as one could call it a smile, one could also call it unhinged. She did not look at Marion, let alone greet her. Aida’s mind was clawing to try to maintain… control.

Santario slid her cherry wand back into its hidden pocket as she walked back into the spring ball area from the last trial. Her hands smoothed out her dress before reaching up and adjusting some of the little golden snakes that lay nestled in the done-up messy waves of her raven hair. She checked over her arms, and thankfully, it seemed like the snake scale effects she had done did not suffer any damages. That setting spray that one of the girls doused her with seemed to have done what she promised it would. Santario had initially been skeptical as the spray had been applied to her face, arms, and chest, but she had been proved wrong.Interacting| -

The trials had been interesting, to say the least, and while she did not care about the title, the challenges had been fun and innovative. Which was precisely what she had been looking for. Her eyes scanned the ball as she returned to casually strolling along the outer edges. It appeared as if nothing wrong had really happened yet, which was a bit of a relief if she were, to be honest. However, Santario was still on edge, and while the trials had been a bit of a distraction and a way to kill off some of the adrenaline, it was only temporary. However, a distraction was not readily available as she realized no one she really spent time with often was here yet. Which brought her to the realization that she was not even sure if they were going to come. Something that might force her to socialize with people she usually didn’t or just leave, but time would tell, and the night was still young.

The entrance into the spring festival, fade away from the darkness that hollowed the underworld, and the contrast between the two completely different locations affected Eden tremendously. Not only did he feel more comfortable within this new and familiar environment, but also relieved to have made it out from that hole of a void. Most of the people he had to, unfortunately, come across were rather unpleasant to deal with, but out of the rathole he managed to at least find someone suitable to accompany him.
Eden was almost caught off guard by the beauty that this place consisted of. The colourful flowers and decorations that lit up the place made it warm and blissful. It was truly a joyous scene to witness, and refreshing too. The first year was completely overwhelmed at first and even distracted himself from his companion that was literally standing next to him. He shook his head and tried to snap back into it. The name Jack popped up again and that was enough to return him to reality.
“Jack?” Eden at first asked, wishing he had truly already forgotten the lad. “Oh, that Jack. No, I don’t. Truth be told, I think he’s far too concerned to play his stupid gimmick than anything else. Whether his behaviour is part of the role or genuine, I’m not bothered enough to know.” Eden expressed himself sternly as if he was talking about a long time enemy against who he shared wars.
But yes, with Jack and the rest of the shenanigans pushed away, Eden was more than willing to do absolutely whatever Amelia was interested in. However, at a sudden stroke, a thought processed through Eden’s mind, and he couldn’t believe he actually let it slip. Truth be told, it wasn’t absolutely necessary of him to drop the question when attending balls his father used to host or the entire Gardener family was invited to, simply because everyone there had already been… pure of blood. Was Amelia the same? Eden was curious, and not because of her answer to the question, but to realize whether or not it would have made a difference. But he knew better. He bit his tongue and pretended he never cared about it in the first place. Maybe it wasn’t as hard as his father used to say - to tolerate those who lack purity.
The slight panic attack caused Eden to stutter at first, his forehead was sinking with sweat and so he dabbed it with a piece of fine cloth that he got out from the inside of his sleeves and returned his arm to Amelia. But he managed to remain calm and behave properly.
“Or we could do both.” He gave her a gentle smile that almost looked like a mischievous grin. Not a common sight. “And if I were to be completely honest, all that talking has made my throat in need of a drink, and my stomach aching for something solid. So unless you prefer to have me drop while dancing, I suggest we nourish ourselves before.” Eden’s tone was warm, in contrast of the one he constantly used against Jack. Though he knew very little of Amelia, Eden realized that maybe one’s blood was not defining at all… but if his father said that it did, then… it did, right?

Open to interactionsFor Moderation:Right before Lavinia took a sip the drink gave off a smell of home, the quidditch pitch, and a newly polished broom. It was everything she loved and it made the drink call to her in way. It was her sense of comfort in this ball. All the smells caught up with her and before her mind went to what type of potion it was she took a sip, and another, and another. It had a lovely taste to it that made her not want to stop. She wanted to make sure everyone had a chance at tasting this drink so she turned around to find people to share with when her eyes attached to one boy.
Nothing else mattered except for him, her anxiety about the ball was gone, she didn’t even remember why she was hesitant to come. All she could think about was him, his black hair framed his face in a way that made her want to touch it. Lavinia noticed every single feature that she could see from her spot, he had a lean build and was dressed in an Apollo style outfit. She couldn’t look away, he was dressed so beautifully it made her heart jump. The only she could think of to describe what she was feeling was love.
She was in love with him and had no idea who he was or what his name was. Actually scratch that, she knew that he was the only thing that mattered any more. Quidditch was gone from all of thoughts, her family didn’t even matter to her anymore in the moment, just him and only him mattered to her. From the flowing chiton to the belted waist he was very handsome and he occupied every single corner of her mind. She wanted to go up to him, ask him his name, dance with him, kiss him, and be his girlfriend. She was about to do just that when she noticed the other people surrounding him.
They were just people though and that was not going to stop her from meeting the man of her dreams. She walked over to him in a way that was almost rushed but still elegant. She wanted to make a good first impression on him so that he could love her as much as she loved him. Once she got to him she tried to contain her excitement and not kiss him yet. She had to start out with the basics even though she felt like she already knew him. She approached behind him and lightly gave him a hug.
It was all that she had dreamed of, his outfit felt wonderful on her skin and she found it a bit funny that she was taller than him. With a little giggle she introduced herself to her love, Hi! I’m Lavinia and you look absolutely gorgeous tonight, what’s your name?! She had a bit of an eager stutter in her words because she was just overjoyed that she was meeting him.
The only thing was that she had wanted him to taste the drink but in her quick live at first sight she had left the drink on the table. It was going to be too hard to try and leave him and go back for the drink so she had to make due with the fact that he wouldn’t drink any. Nevertheless, he was her dream and she would not let a single person take him away from her.ReducioAction: Being completely in love with Kazuo, giving him a hug, and introducing herself.

Blossom Ball - Spring Festival
Interacting with @ Nico Shymane and @Santario Martin
Open to InteractionsSticking out like an artic fox in the desert. The lumbering boy king strode into the fantastical site that was the spring festival. Clad in black and eyes sharp as ever. A familiar scarlet haired beauty sat upon one of his shoulders. Dressed in color and carrying a basket of petals. Scanning the area as he entered. He was careful to keep Nico on his shoulder and duck where he needed to be. He had intended to go straight to one of the tables. Being clad in so much black against such vibrant colors was a bit embarrassing for him but he chose this outfit for a reason.
His hair had been straightened and slick backed causing it to rest at just below the shoulders. His beard that was always wild and untamed half the Stine had been cut short and groomed with who knew how many hours going into the mantainence. Unlike usual his soft emerald blue eyes were still just as big but carried a sharpness to them, his freckles no longer visible and skin having a smooth paleness to them. He wore all black for this affair. Wearing a long black Toga (Chilton) that went down to his ankles.
Gold clasps on the shoulders held in place a similarly black feather cape that had plumage covering the entire shoulder areas and upper back before transitioning from the feathers to similar black fabric that with to the top of his ankles. The arms were of course sleeveless but he wore the traditional sandals of that time that were of a similar black, Black leather bracers that barely held together due to his strength and the most odd thing of all? A bright vibrant flower pinned into his hair on the left side.
He stopped for a moment when he spotted a very familiar face. One that always brought him joy to see. Carefully weaving his way around anyone or anything breakable. He stopped just in front of the Slytherin in question. "San...that's you isn't it? I like your outfit it's very you." His warm laughter escaped his otherwise daunting and unnerving look. He brought a large hand to rest against the side of Nico. Gently scooting her back on to his shoulder before positioning his arm like it was in a swing for her feet to have a more stable perch.
He also took the opportunity to slowly kneel in front of Santario so he would not have to speak so loud and she wouldn't need to crane her neck. "Been awhile hasn't it?"Action: Entering the spring festival

Kazuo gave Dealla an amused smirk. "Oh I think it's more than purebloods I'll be educating on culture, Ouji-sama." He replied as a kpop song started up. He then lowered his voice to a conspiratorial whisper, teasing. "If you happen to be a terrible dancer, I promise not to mention it." He shifted his gaze back to the flaming costume, nodding. "I'd join you in the Trials but duty and responsibility and all that. I can't wait to see what you do for my Trial."
As Jack explained his costume to Jake, Kazuo smirked. "Pardon. Half goat." He corrected, watching as Jack jumped to Winnie's defense. An expertly cast ferula, used as a weapon, had Matt's mouth neatly wrapped up like a gag. On its own, Kazuo found it both inventive and amusing but paired with Jack’s defense of this unknown girl, Kazuo found himself feeling very confused. Which was only further compounded by Jack’s offering of his arm to Winnie.
I am also not a service girl, nor am I some sort of trained puppy. I was simply doing Ruka a favour, I owe him my life."
Kazuo's gaze shifted to Ruka, a brow arched questioningly. Trained puppy seemed like an apt description of the girl. Matthias might be acting like a sexist prig but his commentary on her behaviour wasn't that far off the mark. All he had seen of the girl so far was a tendency to follow the twins around like an infatuated puppy. But the second half of that statement…
"Bangarang." He muttered as he fixed Ruka with a questioning look.
Owes you her life, Ruka?
As Winnie snuggled up to Jack, Kazuo felt the overwhelming urge to gag at the falseness of it all. What absolute stupidity was going through that girl's head? Did she just… sniff him?
"You smell really good, like the pages of a book."
She did.
Kazuo rolled his eyes, an actual sneer marring his normally polite expression. Honestly this was going too far.
What are you doing, Jack?
He clicked his teeth in irritation, considering actually doing something but Ruka was quicker - and appeared to me more upset as he inserted himself between Winnie and Jack. Kazuo gave Ruka a nod of understanding then turned a wicked smile on Winnie. “Yes, please, don’t abandon me to the questionable company that is Pride here. He can’t even provide pleasant conversation.” Kazuo narrowed his eyes a bit, studying the bandages. “Or any conversation…” He added as a strategic afterthought, giving Pride a grin and a wink.
Up until this point, Kazuo had been happy to play observer, mostly amused if a bit confused by what had been transpiring in front of him. It was exactly the sort of thing he enjoyed, this chaos unfolding like a private show. Yet to be this close to the drama meant that one risked getting dragged into it. Kazuo was fairly good at predicting outcomes by applying knowledge and logical thinking. The problem with people, though, was that logic tended not to be their driving force of action. Normally this led to delightful variances from his predicted outcome - because those variances weren’t affecting him directly. The variance that he knew would cause the most chaos was the amortentia, of course, yet logic dictated that he would be relatively free of those consequences because, really, who knew him well enough to possibly have even false feelings for him?
So the boy who evaded physical touch as if it could somehow kill him, who saved such things as hugs for only those closest to him like his parents, who refused even handshakes if he could do so without breaching etiquette, who had managed to survive nine months in the Badger Den without receiving a Hufflehug, found himself in a most unenviable position. Or at least he thought it unenviable. Others might very well be envious of his position. Those others were probably hormonal fools.
Lavinia had snuck up behind him while he had been distracted and she had hugged him. He froze like a deer in the headlights as the unknown assailant introduced herself. The discomfort would be plain on his face for all - or at the very least Matt, Winnie and Jake - to see.
Lavinia. Gorgeous. Name.
Kazuo had the overwhelming urge to reach for his wand which he managed to suppress though his grip on the lyre tightened. Perhaps not a reasonable reaction to a hug but really what kind of person just walks up and hugs a stranger? This person, apparently. Lavinia? Older. Taller. Not someone he had met, nor even someone he remembered passing. He took a deep breath. Then another. He turned slowly to face her, giving her a charming smile though it definitely didn’t reach his eyes. Rather his eyes looked a bit panicked and maybe the smile was a bit forced but never mind that. “Lavinia.” He repeated her name and if his voice was a bit strained, well, at least it didn’t crack. “Thank you. I am a god, after all, and a host of the event. Can’t be showing up in anything less than the best if I expect others to dress to the theme.” It felt a bit forced but he continued anyway, hoping she wouldn’t notice the effect her assault had on him. “Kazuo Shimada, or… for this night… Apollo, Lord of Light.”

The trials were over, and Cassie practically skipped towards the pulsing music which could be heard from the Spring Festival area of the Ball. This was certainly a far more fun place to be compared to the darkness of the Underworld - and it was definitely more Cassie's style.
The music reminded her of a primary school disco, bringing back fond memories of terrible sweets, terrible dancing, and bright lights which hurt your eyes so much that you had constant headaches. Ah, the good old days. The area itself, however, wasn't disco-like at all - it was far more refined, for one thing. A petal drifted down onto Cassie's head without her noticing as she made her way over to the food tables. She was hungry after all that, and thirsty too. As she waited for Charles, Scarlett and Drew, Cassie picked up a bread roll and started eating it. She'd liked bread rolls by themselves ever since her mum had told her off for not buttering a roll at lunch a few years ago. Cassie only broke stupid rules, and 'you should always have something on a roll' definitely counted as stupid.
The tables were heaped with food, and at the ends of them were stacks of flower crowns and laurel wreaths. Cassie grabbed a laurel wreath, remembering with a grin that they were usually gifted to winners of contests in the times of Ancient Greece, and attempted to put it on her head, over the top of her circlet. However, she must have chosen one of the larger sizes, because it just slipped down onto her neck and stayed there like a necklace. It didn't really go with her outfit, but ah well.
As Cassie waited for her friends and watched the dancing guests, she poured herself some punch and dipped the bread in it before eating some bread. Mmm. It didn't taste as bad as she'd thought it would, actually. Punch-soaked bread was her new delicacy of the day. She dunked again and ate.

Kazuo had received a mocking curtsy as she'd left, Ruka's and Jack's words lost in the crowd, never reaching her ears, but she wasn't gone for long. A few of the trials completed, Dee returned to the ball only a bit later than when she had abandoned her friends, taking a cup of punch from a nearby table as she passed.
Still, the situation had changed quite a bit. Someone seemed to have lost their temper, because while still-nameless-boy was wearing more cloth than when she'd left, it was wrapped around his mouth and likely did little to keep him warm. There were questions on her tongue, curiosity bubbling, but inquiring who had given the boy his new accessory would have to wait for a bit. Ruka and Jack weren't in the immediate vicinity of the group anymore, and Dee's eyes scanned the crowd quickly, locating them some distance away, Ruka's torch raised between them. If he was going to start twirling it around, perhaps better to stay clear for the moment.
The remainder of the small crowd she'd left - Kazuo, Winnie, Jake, and nameless boy - had instead been joined by another girl, one she identified as a Ravenclaw, although none she'd ever talked to, different year, different team. And currently hugging Dee's chosen ball date.
Her eyebrows jumped up, somewhere between surprise and amusement, and she quickened her pace, coming to a stop in front of them with a smile barely kept off her face and mirth dancing in her eyes. Kazuo seemed much less comfortable, not that she knew him well enough to really judge. Maybe he just went around hugging girls, who knew? Just because he'd said he wasn't interested in play-dating didn't mean he couldn't... Well, honestly, she had no clue what was going on, but she was curious to figure it out.
"I've been replaced, I see," Dee said, tilting her head to one side slightly, amusement barely concealed in her voice. "Was I gone that long? Kazuo, when I asked you to go with me, I wasn't aware you were so popular." Not that it would have made a difference, his popularity had been the least concern on her mind.
Eyes narrowing just slightly, she smiled at the older girl, more a question than a challenge. There were no feelings hurt, no jealousy, as agreed beforehand, that wasn't what she was here for. But she couldn't help the urge to tease a little, to prod and see what would happen. Unsure if an introduction was necessary, given her status as prefect, but providing one anyway. "Hi, I'm Dee, may I ask why you're hugging my date?"

Charles was walking back from the trials. Alone. He must have lost track of his friends at the last one and figured that he would meet them again at the ball.
The trials have been fun, Charles only hoped that Drew and him did well in them so they could win the competition between them and the girls. However Charles still had the Trial Of Orpheus on his mind, the blonde still couldn't quite believe that he had a crush on Drew. Perhaps that was the reason recently, the blonde couldn't find himself feeling romantically about any girls or why he didn't flirt as much with them now.
Charles wills over through the Spring Festival, looking for Cassie, Drew, and Scarlett. His eyes setting on Cassie, naturally the young Dumstrang hoped that the other two would find them as he first started his way to the drinks and got a glass of punch not thinking anything of it and then moving toward Cassie.
Charles would give the girl a half, light smile as he stepped in front of her before speaking in French however, " the trials were fun I will admit. I quite enjoyed your dancing performance, what was the name of it?" the blonde kept a look out for his friend as he took a slip of his punch not thinking anything of the fact before he would continue in French, "Your a good dancer, perhaps we show do it again after all this is a ball." The blonde would give the girl a half smile and hold of his glass a bit to her with a small nod before taking another slip and go back to looking for Drew and Scarlett as he continued to talk with Cassie switching between English and French.
"I think these jumpsuits help Drew and myself win this but we just have to wait, right Cass," Charles spoke with a bit of a laugh as he held his glass in his right and left by his side watching the others at the Spring Festival but mainly looking for Drew and he guessed Scarlett as well, she was Cassie's friend which meant Charles tried his best to be friends with her as well.
"Now that the trials are done, any plans for the actual ball Cass," Charles asked his friend while still looking out for the other two in their group and taking occasional slips of the punch.

Open to interactionsFor Moderation:Lavinia was blissful to say the least. Here she was in front of her one true love, up close she could see that he had reddish brown eyes and they were gorgeous! After she had introduced herself she had sensed a little discomfort with him and it made her a little sad that he was sad. Nevertheless, she didn’t let it show because she was still overjoyed. Then he said her name and Lavinia felt so happy that she was about to scream.
His voice was heavenly and her name out of it was more than Lavinia could dream. She had fallen for this boy and she fallen hard. When he said ‘I am a god’ she couldn’t agree more he looked like a god in his outfit and in just pure looks. He was also a host of the event and Lavinia didn’t think she could love him anymore but she did. When he said that statement she just nodded along and said ”You are doing a wonderful job hosting, this ball is amazing.” After she said that, he told her his name. It was Kazuo Shimada or as he who he was dressed as, Apollo.
She could see it now, Lavinia Shimada. They would date for the rest of the years in Hogwarts and would get married and grow old together. For now she could try and figure out a ship name for them. How could you merge Kazuo and Lavinia? Lazuo didn’t sound that good, Kavinia wasn’t that good either. Lavinia wanted to think of something that made her feel connected with him and then it hit her. Kazinia. The perfect combination name for the perfect couple.
Her brain had worked so fast on the name that he had only spoke seconds ago and she was quick to respond to the comment he made about his costume. ”Of course your Apollo because you light up my heart” it came out before she even thought and she was not disappointed, it was true. She loved him with all of her heart and he was dressed up as Apollo who he said was the lord of light. It only made sense for her to day that, he lit up her heart and her face was showing how happy she was to be with him.
They were meant to be together and Lavinia was about to say something else when another girl walked up to her. This new girl was a bit familiar to Lavinia maybe she was a Ravenclaw as well, but she didn’t have time to talk to others. The only person she wanted to talk to was her love and her new life. When the girl said that she had been replaced Lavinia started to get confused, no one looked like they had been his date when she walked up and now she was determined to stay with him.
This girl had asked Kazuo to go to the dance with her. Lavinia was enraged inside and her face turned into a light scowl, the only thing keeping her from lashing out at the girl was the fact that she was still right next to Kaz. Then came the name, Dee and they happened to be on a date. Lavinia tried to leave the sprite out of her voice as she stated the obvious, ”Well I’m in love with him of course and I would prefer if you left, Dee.” she had left out the spite for all but the name, this girl was NOT going to steal her Kaz, Kaz away from her.
She loved him so much and wanted to get away from this girl who claimed to be his date. She turned back to Kazuo, grabbed his hand to hold it and said, ”Hey Kazuo do you want to get away from this girl?” If he were to agree she would guide him away and if her were not to agree she would still try and drag him away. She did not want her love being anywhere near this girl who claimed to be his date.ReducioAction: Being corny, being rude-ish to Dee, holding Kazuo’s hand and trying to take him away from Dee.
