Henry Knight couldn't believe that his second year would be over soon. It felt like it was only yesterday that he arrived back at the castle for his second year and a a brand new adventure.
His second year felt amazing to the thirteen year old, he felt like so much happen that year it felt more like a lifetime than a year.
He met Alexa Mackenzie and even formed a crush on her, he met Alina Rosier before finding out she left for beauxbatons, he met a fellow werewolf; Paige Grant, Scarlett Aden was his friend again after a talk about their childhood, he met Rose Moon, and he became closer with Cash and a few others.
The young teen felt like he met and had loads of friends now, he was feeling less like a outsider and didn't let his anxiety control him as much anymore although he now had a familiar but distinct voice in his head.
Henry was a duelist for the slytherin team; Viridian Vipers and won two out of three duels, also getting knocked out in 2 out of three duels to. However he practiced daily and continued to earn all O's throughout the year in all his classes, he even was helping his friends with their own work and classes which made Henry smile.
He attended two balls that year which didn't end on the greatest situations, he found out Cash's secret and told them his own, he found some trouble in the dungeons that year along with his fellow Slytherin's, and he was invited to participate in the Trial Of Fear.
Oh and his father was engaged to be married in the upcoming summer to Rose's mother so that was another thing.
Still Henry couldn't believe that he would be a third year soon, he could take more classes and go to hogsmeade freely without breaking any rules like he might have did that year.
However the young teen was looking forward to choosing his classes first his third year. When classes finished for the day, he would race to his dormitory and change out of his uniform into a casual pair of clothes. With his gold rusted pendant and wolf necklace underneath his shirt, 5 or so friendship bracelets on his right wrist, and bag over his shoulder before heading out.
Henry wasn't sure what classes he would take it, the boy always loved Care Of Magical Creatures and thought perhaps he would take that one?
Henry would enter the class and look around instantly loving it and imagining the classes. Henry would walk around the class as he was debating what classes to take in his third year.

Dakota hadn’t been as excited to return home. She knew what awaited her, Scarlett, her mother, which judged every little move she made while still somehow managing to never come around her four children. Then there would be Lynn Olson, Dakotas little sister by a year who quite frankly made Dakota terrified out of her skin, Travis Olson at least would be much easier, even with DID the alters still found ways to be around Dakota. Mel Olson would probably be off somewhere, visiting somebody. But, she also knew the furry friend that would be sleeping in his basket in her room, waiting for her arrival, would be there. And then there Grandpa and Grandma- puffing out her breath her mind gave her a little push into remembering this, a frown tracing her lips.Dakota had always quite enjoyed being outside, it calmed her, and the animals she would see here we’re definitely a added bonus. By the end of her last class she hurried back to her dorm, pulled on a pair of blue, soft pants with the word “Relax” written along the side and Stitch sitting on the R and a grey sweater that hung off her shoulders. Grabbing the journal that rested on her nightstand and a pencil Dakota was quick to make her way out of the Hufflepuff dorms and common room before going to the Care of Magical Creatures classroom. On her way there she pulled her fluffy golden brown hair into a low ponytail so it wouldn’t get in her face and enjoyed the sunlight.When she walked into the classroom area her gaze searched it, quite liking the area she was now in. It took Dakota a few moments to notice Henry and when Dakota did her anxiety began to rise. Though Dakota was good at memorizing faces, she didn’t recognize this boys and knew she most likely wouldn’t know his voice or name either. A frown formed along her lips as she debated about slipping back out and just coming back in later to find a quiet space. Letting out a soft sigh, she shifted her feet, starting to step back out before she stumbled over her feet and had to catch herself, causing her to drop the journal which made a soft thump.

Henry found himself gazing around the classroom, wishing that the upcoming summer wouldn't happen.
He wished to just start his third year, to start taking care of magical creatures and to have one summer where he didn't have to worry about his missing twin sister or father's engagement or new step mother and step siblings.
Henry felt the bag on his shoulders as he cast a look around the area, closing his eyes for a moment and talking a breath. It all seemed so peaceful for a moment, like everything was perfect or will fall into place.
That was until he heard a sound, it was light but loud enough to hear and a smell tickled his nose. Someone else was there.
Henry opened his eyes and looked around, which was when he saw a notebook or journal perhaps on the ground and a girl. A girl who looked like she was dealing with her own problems as well.
She would approach her with a smile as he spoke"Hey, her let me help you," the young teen would bend down and pick up the notebook before handing it to the girl with a smile as he spoke" I'm Henry, uh Henry Knight."
He would give her a smile as he waited for her to introduce herself, still handing her the notebook as he would give a nod with a smile if she would introduce herself before asking" do you like magical creatures as well? I find them amazing actually, their genes and habits and nature and personalities are just wicked to me," the lad then fell silent and noticed that he was started to nerd out a bit and he didn't want to scare the girl off.
"Sorry about that, I have been told I'm a bit of a nerd," Henry spoke as he looked down a bit before back at the girl who was a bit shorter than him but her appearance looked like she was dealing with something as well as he spoke"are you okay?"

Dakota had mostly kept to herself this year after having to deal with the muggle school, so having someone interact with her and at that someone kindly interacting with her was a bit different. “Er- thank you..” pausing, she bit her lip for a moment “I’m Dakota Olson.”. Dakotas voice was soft and almost sweet sounding but her crystal blue eyes showed a bit of caution. Taking the journal from Henry she listened to what he was saying”I do find the animals here intriguing—I’d love to work with them.” she seemed a bit more held together now, her gaze flickering around. “I’m guessing your thinking about taking Care of Magical Creatures?” while she was still a bit cautious Dakota did seem willing to talk, which seems to be a start.For a moment, Dakota hesitated before talking again”I suppose you could say I’m alright, just not very interested or joyful about returning home for the summer. Dakota voice seemed to have what almost sounded to be a bit of a worried tone before she sighed. Changing the topic, she spoke again in her soft voice “I’ve always been interested in animals—ever since my dad brought home my cat, Kaelum, when he was a kitten and off the streets.” Kaelum had been a stray, most likely a abandoned female cat had kittens and Kaelum was the only one left or he had been abandoned at some point. Dakotas journal had drawings of her cat, along with drawings of the animals from the wizarding world. It also features drawings of random environments where she was, or people she was around.@Henry Knight

Henry would nod slightly toward her with a smile before replying softly, " it's a pleasure to meet you, Dakota," Henry would let his bright blue eyes stare into the young girl's own light, almost crystal blue eyes listening to her words.
Henry smiled a bit at her words, the rest of his emotions were hidden behind the 'barrier' that he kept up at all times.
At least I didn't scare her away with my nerding out but she likes magical creatures and working with them to? Maybe we could talk about or read about them together or.. or...
When the mention of classes came up, Henry brushed a few strands of hair from his eyes as he sigh a bit before answering, " yeah, I'm a third year next year so I have a chance to take the class along with others," Henry was still debating in his mind exactly which classes next year he wanted to take even if he did want to take all of them.
"Are you a second year as well?" Henry asked the girl, looking her over and at least he thought that she looked like a second year. There weren't a lot that were tall in his year, there was a mixture of heights really so her height looked to fit in rather good.
However when the conversation changed to the summer holiday coming up, Henry felt himself staring at the girl with a small smile as he spoke" Your not happy to be returning home? I know it isn't my business and you don't have to tell me but are you okay? Or did you just get some not favorable news from your home recently?" Henry looked at her and wondered what was going on with the girl before realizing that he might he invading her own personal space and life so the young teen took a breath as he spoke" I'm not exactly joyful to return home either."
Henry felt the situation turning awkward as he aimed his eyes off to the side still hiding his emotions. However he would move his eyes back to Dakota when he heard her start to speak and he naturally listened to her with a small smile before replying" that sounds sweet and Kaelum sounds like a adorable name for a feline. I bet Kaelum is just as adorable as his name entails," Henry would smile for a bit before rubbing his left hand behind his neck as he spoke" I always loved animals ever since I was little and saw a here of deer run through the woods by my house," Henry mainly saw magical creatures or read about them but he loved all times of creatures or animals, magical and non-magical.
"Did you bring Kaelum here? I have a Red Mackerel feline named Loki that I got in the beginning of my second year and can play with Kaelum if you want," Henry suggested as he smiled toward the girl and removed his hand from his neck, holding both by his sides.

Dakota gave Henry a small smile, taking in a soft breath “oh—no I’m not in second year, I’m still first.” Dakota was a bit surprised that Henry thought she was possibly older than she actually was. “I do plan to take Care of Magical Creatures when I am though.” Dakota took in a light breath, fiddling with the pencil that rested in her hand. Hearing Henry asking about why she wasn’t happy to return home, a frown appeared along her lips as she spoke “oh, it’s a lot of things, mostly my mom.” hearing the last part Dakota blinked up at him “why wouldn’t you be excited?”.Her smile grew a bit as she let out a soft breath “Kaelum is adorable, my siblings don’t think so much though.”. Dakota seemed to be listening closely to Henry, not minding the more awkward situation. “Deers are amazing animals, a lot of creatures are.” while Dakota grew up only knowing animals in the muggle world she was also quickly growing accustomed to seeing the animals at Hogwarts. Pausing for a moment, she let out alight breath “a lot of creatures are so interesting, especially watching them interact with their natural habits or caretakers.” tilting her head she shook it softly “Kaelum is took anxious to be brought here, all the people would overwhelm him, anytime new people come to my grandparents he runs and hides under my bed.” Dakota seemed fond of her cat, enjoying its company whenever “he’s honestly one of the reasons I want to go home.”.

Turns out Dakota was a first year a bit as he replied" you look like your could be a second year," the girl did look older than she was at least to Henry as he listened to the girl when the topic changed from classes to the summer holiday.
"I'm sorry to hear that but your summer holiday might end up better than you think," Henry replied before thinking about how to answer her question. He wasn't sure if he should say the truth or lie or part of the truth, after a moment or two Henry would take a breath and decide to say part of the truth.
"My father is marrying my friend's mother this summer and were also moving again," Henry replied which was the truth minus who the friend was, he decided to leave Rose's name out because he wasn't sure if she wanted her name included or not. He also didn't say anything about his twin sister being missing, mainly since it wasn't something that could be worked into a conversion really.
Henry smiled a bit as he listened to the girl talk about her cat; Kaelum before he would ask" you have siblings?" Figuring he could talk about his own as well, since it wasn't a secret or anything as he spoke " I have a older brother and a twin but she's missing, you probably heard from the howler if you were there," Henry aimed his eyes to the side a bit still hiding his emotions behind his barrier. The howler came in the morning and was from his father blaming him for his twins disappearance but he wasn't sure if the girl was in the hall that morning.
"I'm also going to have five step siblings this holiday," Henry spoke looking back at Dakota with a smile at a attempt of a joke. Their conversation changed to animals and creatures to Henry's pleasure as he nodded a bit before replying" I agree, there are loads of animals or creatures that are interesting," his mind started to drift off to different creatures and animals wondering what to say next or what it say about them with the girl.
"I agree, at home I love and sometimes here I love to sit out and write down how I watch different creatures or animals behave or interact," Henry replied to the girl, the young teen has loved creatures and learning about them since for as long as he child remember unfortunately their wasn't many that he could nerd out about them with however make Dakota could change that as he ran through facts in his head.
"I'm sorry to hear about Kealum but if you ever want to hang as around a feline here then you can always hangout with Loki," Henry spoke smiling at her gently. It was sad when someone had a feline or owl that they couldn't bring to hogwarts, having going a whole year without seeing their beloved pet and wondering if their pet would still remember them.
"At least you can see him then for the holiday," Henry replied smiling softly at the first year who stood in front of him

Dakota smiled as she listened, taking in what he said bit by bit as not to overwhelm herself. “I’m always told I look younger since I’m smaller.” Dakotas response was a bit delayed, seeming to have been processing what he said and what her response would be. Hearing what he said about her holiday, she gave a light nod, as if she herself is trying to believe him ”oh—well, I do suppose it could be alright..” giving a sigh she twitched slightly.Hearing that Henry’s father would be remarrying, Dakota blinked at him “that should be a interesting time, you could call it adventure if you wanted to.” though Dakota had been thinking of a way to try to make it seem better, she knew it would be difficult either way. “Yes, I do have siblings, my two older brothers, well-one of them is a DID system, and my younger sister Lynn.” sucking in a breath her eyes softened “oh I’m sorry about your sister, not knowing where someone is, is worse than knowing something.”Dakota blinked, a bit surprised at how many step-siblings he’d have “five? I could never.” a smile lingered along her lips while a joking tone ring in her voice. “At least animals make dealing with people easier, I’d rather be locked away with animals than people.” puffing she nodded “watching them is intriguing, you see the natural patterns, sometimes you could be lucky enough to see them caring for their young.”.Smiling sweetly yet a bit sadly she nodded “I do miss Kaelum, but I know he’s well taken care of.” Dakota shifted slightly as she sighed. ”I’d love to meet Loki, Kaelum has a harness and leash so maybe you’ll meet him some other time.” hearing his last sentence, she nodded and her smile brightened a bit.

"You are a but short but you look mature," Henry replied smiling toward the first year, she did have that second year look or at least to Henry. Granted through there are around loads of second years that short to or under five feet.
"Plus there must be something your looking about going home as well," Henry replied with a smile even through optimism and looking for the positives has never really been a string area for the young teen he was looking at changing that.
Henry smiled toward the girl as he looked into her gaze and partly down toward the ground as he spoke" a adventure? I never thought of it that way, thank you Dakota," Henry would smile toward her and slowly become comfortable as he enjoyed this conversation with the girl.
The conversation was on siblings and Henry listened to the girl talk about her own before replying softly after a moment or two, " I'm sorry about your brother that he has DID but hopefully it isn't bad, I have a friend who has DID here and she uh manages," Henry only smiled softly toward Dakota, he wanted to support her but also he didn't want to give away his friend's secret as well since there were at Hogwarts who knew about it if Henry remember correctly.
Henry only nodded and smiled a bit toward her words about his sister, he wasn't really in the mood for talking about it. Although he never was in the mood to discuss it.
"Same, question is how I'm going to survive the holiday," Henry spoke while a playful tone rang through his words and the smile grew just a bit around the edges. However their conversation would move back to animals and Henry instantly got rather excited as he agreed nodding a bit before replying" I agree, I much perfer to be around animals all day as well than people occasionally," sometimes the young teen did like being around other people while at other times he didn't perfer it much.
"What is you favorite or most interesting animal or creature that your observed?" Henry asked the girl with a smile already knowing his answer, it has been a while since he would say it but couldn't wait regardless.
"So seeing Kaelum is a the good withing the bad than," Henry spoke after he listened to the young girl's words, smiling softly toward her and meeting her blue gaze that lightly matched his own.
"You can meet Loki later today or this week or anything you want. And perhaps we can meet over the summer holiday and introduce our felines? Loki has a harness and leash as well and he isn't as playful or full of energy like most kittens are either," Henry spoke thinking that Loki would like another feline friend to add to his small group and he, Henry himself did want Dakota as a friend.

Dakota nodded a bit, smiling lightly “thank you.” Dakotas blue eyed gaze was still quite soft as she spoke. “The most I’m looking forward to is seeing my cat and some of the animals in the woodland.” quite enjoying Henry’s optimism she agreed with him and at least one of my siblings with be there.. sighing softly she listened again. Hearing him thank her for calling it an adventure she nodded “adventures can be good or bad, it’s just how you and the people around you decide how to handle said adventure.” pausing, she shifted on her heels “I’m sure it’ll be fine, Henry.”.Sighing, she nodded once Henry mentioned her brother “he handles it, maybe it could be handled better but the system is well maintained and they can talk with each other in the headspace, plus it’s not amnesiac, the alters remember what was happening before they switched.” Dakota seems well versed in her brothers system, though she knows he had his struggles she also knows he learned how to deal with his disorder. “Plus the littles are adorable-“ Dakota smiled saying this, letting out a soft breath. Laughing lightly at what Henry said about the holidays she nodded “that is going to be one of the most crowded holidays you’ve had I’m sure- it would overwhelm me to the highest extent.” as she said this while it was a joke there also seemed to be a bit of truth to it.Back to animals- her mind rung, nodding as she listened she let out a breath. Thinking over the question, she tilted her head “oh—probably Howler monkeys, how they can use their tail almost like a third hand is amazing to me.” Dakota smiled lightly as she let out a breath “and you?”.“Kaelum is the good with the bad.” smiling lightly she nodded. “I would love to meet him, I’m sure Kaelum would too.” nodding as he described her cat she smiled brighter.@Henry KnightReducioOoc note: perfectly fine, I’m going to top golf and lunch but probably won’t be doing much so I should still be on a lot.
