A Prideful Escape SIGN-UPS

Ami's desperate to spread the joy of pride throughout Hogwarts during the month of June, as the new leader of the LGBTQIAP+ Club. Taking advantage of the nice weather, she has set up a series of escape "rooms" outside on the Hogwarts grounds, where participants will have to work together to solve puzzles and complete the room's objective.

To celebrate pride month, the LGBTQIAP+ Club is offering THREE different escape rooms to all students of Hogwarts. The different objectives of the escape rooms can be found below, and they will operate similarly to balls or main story events in that each round, you will post with an action, and then there will be a moderation describing the outcomes of your actions. Some rooms may have specific rules you will need to adhere to, and those will be stated in the actual room thread. If you are breaking these rules, I may ask you to refrain from participating in the event.

Anyone can sign up for the escape rooms, however, you will need to be registered in the index with a trunk and stats. This is because when I roll for the success of your actions, I will need your stats in order to add a modifier. You do not need spells, although they will certainly make certain tasks easier.

I am asking you to list your preference of rooms because while I am hoping we will not hit this cap, there will be a cap of a maximum of 15 people in each room. This is to keep participation equal across the board, and so that no one is left with nothing to do in their room.

I would also like to thank @Levi Drakos for helping me create fun and exciting puzzles and for helping with written room descriptions, and @Scott Alexander for creating the art/photos that will accompany the rooms. Please send them your love and gratitude.

Finally, a disclaimer: all the rooms are entirely fake scenarios. There is no student at Hogwarts in danger of being outed, you will not actually be transported to the Werkroom on Rupaul's Drag Race, nor is there a Green Witch with dangerous traps. Similarly how you would be placed into a fake scenario if you were to go to an actual escape room, these are all just environmental things to get students excited about participating. Roleplaying within roleplaying, if you will. Roleplay-ception.

Not Quite Sweater Weather Anymore

Named after the modern-day bisexual anthem, Not Quite Sweater Weather Anymore represents the diversity of sexuality in the LGBTQ+ community. Set in a rather extravagant walk-in closet, participants are tasked to raid the closet in order to find and destroy evidence that would out and potentially endanger a student at Hogwarts. However, the owner of the closet will be returning soon, in approximately one hour, and being caught redhanded would mean certain disaster.

Dragging Your Feet

In this room celebrating gender identity and expression, participants will be "teleported" to the workroom of RuPaul's Drag Race, and are tasked with recovering fan favorite King Chad Preoccupied's golden fedora, which has been stolen in a sabotage attempt. They'll have to search the workroom and the contestants' belongings to find the fedora and who stole it while the contestants participate in a Drag Race challenge. But make sure to watch the clock... you'll have an hour before the contestants finish their challenge, and you do NOT want to be caught in the workroom.

The Green Witch's Village

Participants will learn about the history of LGBTQ+ rights in a magically-interpreted recreation of Greenwich Village, aptly named the Green Witch's Village. A benevolent witch with green skin has become the protector of the village, but she's made quite a few enemies along the way. The participants are tasked with breaking into her cottage, the Wall of Stone, to locate and extract a trap her enemies have planted. Unfortunately, they'll also have to navigate the Green Witch's own in-house security system in order to get to the trap, and they'll have ninety minutes before the enemy returns to ensure their trap has worked.
