Singing To The Stars...

Winter pushed the heavy door open and closed it making a quiet bang. She leaned against the wooden door. "i made it..." she says in a low tone, for she had snuck out of her dormitory. Letting out a sigh she puts her headphones over her ears and begins to play music nodding her head in response to each beat. Walking over to the ledge she gets on her knees and sets her arms on the cold bricks, resting her head on top of her arms. Winter nuzzles her head into her silky soft hoodie sleeve before closing eyes and taking a deep breath and letting it out with a true smile growing on her face. This nice cool place, smelled of fresh pine and firewood, two of winters favorite smells. As she opened her eyes, looking up at the stars her favorite quote popped up in the back of her head. "stars..for my part i know nothing with any certainty, but the slight of the stars in which lets me feel freedom..." she says happily, smiling with her eyes glued to the beautiful night sky. As a child she was told that the stars shine brighter each night they are recognized, so every chance she gets she closes her eyes...and sings to the sky...letting her voice fill the silence of the night. Though she has never truly sung in front of any person to her full extent she had always done that for the stars, for they were her only escape...they made her feel true happiness with their gorgeous lights glistening. She let out another deep breath then closed her eyes and began singing voice like an angel.

Singing To The Stars...
Aldor slowly followed the Hufflepuff that sneaked out of the dorms, the more he advanced, the quicker he realized that they were heading towards the Astronomy tower, he heard the person go inside the classroom, the boy was about to touch the door until he remembered in what class they were. Aldor wasn't afraid of many things at Hogwarts, except for the astronomy teacher, Leonardo.

When the Hufflepuff was actually supposed to be there, he didn't feel terrified of his teacher, in fact, he had a huge respect for how much passion he putted into his work, but he was sure he would not like to stumble into the man when he was NOT actully supposed to be there, after all, if whoever went into the class was still there, it meant Mister Leonardo had already given them permisson to be there. So instead, Aldor decided to sit outside the classroom, holding tightly the book he was carrying in his arms.

He could hear someone singing from the other side of the door, their voice wasn't exactly the type of voice that would make you cry from how wonderful it was, yet, it was soothing, Aldor supposed that it was the same Hufflepuff he had followed, he remained silent, he was pretty sure that he had no reason to be there, he already figured out that the person wouldn't get in trouble for being up at this hour, unlike Aldor, who would definetely get in trouble if he was caught, was there really any other reason to stay?

''Nevermind- ''

He decided that thinking would only increase the risk of getting caught by a teacher, it wasn't like he loved the idea of getting sent back to bed after a well deserved speech on how he shouldn't be out at this hour. He stood up, looking at the door for a few seconds, why did he follow them here anyway? He bassically went out of the dorms just to take a walk, he would let out a quiet sigh, and stood there for a few minutes, thinking, he was already there so, why not enjoy the peace for a few, instead of listening to his roomates snore for the rest of the night.

Singing To The Stars...
After a few moments of walking Dakota recognized the path she was taking. Frowning slightly, she shifted in the darkness, debating to push on but she waved the doubt away and continued. Dakota had never enjoyed high up places but the moon and starlight seeping through the windows gave her a calming sensation. Stepping out of the darkness just a few feet from the astronomy towers door she wasn’t exactly visible yet, but she didn’t spot Aldor either. The stop of the footsteps had confused her, but she had heard the heavy wooden doors close, and now saw it, not only that but the singing of who she guessed to be the young hufflepuff swirled into her ears.
When she stepped from her concealed spot she spotted Aldor. Raising a eyebrow she swayed forward, her brown hair brushing along her shoulders and her blue eyes gleaming. “What are you doing up-?” the first thing that came out of her mouth was a question, not sounding upset but more interested. She recognized Aldor from the common room, though she had never spoken or paid much attention to many of the other Hufflepuffs she still knew their faces well, just not names or voices. The words well that was a idiotic thing to ask seeing as I’m also up- rang in her head, but she didn’t move or try to recoil the question.

Winter stopped singing immediately, startled by the voice she had heard from inside the room. The only thing she could think of was who had followed her. Quietly she crept over to the door peeking through one of the holes in the thick wood. Though it was dark the hole was at the perfect angle that she could see Aldor. "huh- whos that..?" she muttered beneath her breath. Backing away from the door she began thinking to herself. The voice she heard was not that of a boy...yet through the tiny hole in the door, no other figure was visible. Perhaps they were fellow Hufflepuffs? She sat on the ground and waited to see if again someone would again, speak up from inside. Why had they been out of the dorm room anyways? Winters has never known anyone else that stayed up as late as her, considering the only family she had was her aunt and she wouldn't wake up for anything. She wondered what would happen if she had just opened the door but decided not to. Sliding her headphones onto her neck she continued listening for more voices.

OOC: sorry for not posting much I've been caught up in school..
Singing To The Stars...
The ginger haired boy turned towards Dakota, he raised his hand and greeted her, the boy didn't seem tired, in fact, he looked wide awake, he didn't seem to struggle while being in the dark when they were walking t0owards the classroom, probably because he had been up for a while now.

''I followed another Hufflepuff student here, I was worried a teacher was going to send them back to the dorms, I didn't realize they were coming to the astronomy tower, I don't have permission to go in, so I simply sat here, I was going back to the dorms eventually-''

His voice was really quiet, but he wasn't exactly whispering, it was just the way it came out.

Aldor was used to staying up late, he was surprised that someone else was also up. He recognized her, just like she probably recognized him, he spent a lot of time in the common room lately, for that same reason, he found it easy to recognize his classmates.

The kid wasn't exactly looking to have conversation with anyone, but if Dakota decided to ask him something or say something else, he was most likely going to reply, if not, he would probably walk back to the dorms and pretend nothing had happened, that would be way better than getting into trouble for wandering the halls at night, which would be very reasonable, considering he didn't have any reason to be out except for the fact that he was bored.

He stood up, leaning on the wall, looking at the hall behind Dakota.

''Anyway, we should return to the common room- You can stay if you wish, but I doubt it is a good idea to go into the class-''

Dakota wasn’t exactly sure about what she wanted to do, while her curiosity churned in her mind she also knew staying out and being caught would be much worse than going back to the Hufflepuff common room with unresolved questions. “Im just curious to know which Hufflepuff would be out so late-“ as Dakota grumbled this she glanced over her shoulder with a sigh “but you’re probably right about going back.”. Dakota blinked back over towards Aldor, her round and childlike face having a small smile along it. ”I suppose the student got permission from Professor Chiadovini—I don’t know who would go in there if they didn’t.” though she had never truly felt intimidated or fearful of their Professor, she also knew that Chiadovini was not someone she wanted to test.
I just wish we knew who it was. her mind still pegged her with these thoughts, even as she was preparing to make another walk back to the common room after waiting just a few moments to see if someone would walk out. Though Dakotas movements were now a bit slowed she still seemed awake, tucking her arms against herself as she let out a breath. “alright, we should start walking back.” saying this, she turned her gaze towards Aldor “my names Dakota by the way, Dakota Olson.”.

Terrible Presence in effect.

Some seemed to forget that the tower was not intended to be ventured into during curfew. Some seemed to forget that in the situation that the school was in and the events which had been taking place in the past years, wandering about the school with no other protection was essentially a trap for detention.

Now was certainly no exception, and lo and behold, something had beckoned the Astronomy Professor to return to his tower early on his nightly wanderings. Something had not felt right this evening. That something was elusive yet not entirely unsupported by lingering suspicion. Polished dress boots lightly clicked their way up the tower, a growing sense of dread following in dark footprints which heralded the presence of some degree of monster; the gaunt Professor of the tower.

The children would feel his presence before they had seen him. Indeed, to the eye, there was nothing in the area about them. A chill, a flickering of the torches nearby, but that was all that their eyes would see at first glance.

Then… there would be a flicker in the corner of all their sights, as a pair of pale hands emerged from a seeming shimmering fold, lifting and catching upon another part of peculiar fabric which now appeared to catch the light in such a fashion as to cloak an individual on first observance. Slowly, the pale hands and their pale fingers drew the hood away, and the visage of Professor Chiadovini, grey eyes flashing, hawkish gaze meeting them all without expression, would appear the seemingly out of nothingness.

“I invited none to my Tower, unfortunately.” He spoke at last, fixing each of the three with a severe gaze. It had been the music which had drawn him to the first infractor, and from then he had inverted and pulled up the hood of the silver-lined opera cloak he wore at all times. “I am in great shock and in turn incredible admiration so many decided to infraction such a simple curfew put in place for nearly an entire year now.” Leonardo’s hands draw the cloak away from his shoulders, revealing his entirely black formal apparel, not unlike that he would wear to classes. He tried his best to make our faces, to no avail as usual, and took a deep breath as he flourished the cape once, turning it its proper way with the enchanted silver inseam now where students would be used to seeing it, the velvet exterior black as the night which surrounded the four of them.

The Professor put a hand upon the cane at his side, tapping it lightly with an impatient finger. He didn’t want difficulty, yet he didn’t know if these were troublemakers of any regard. Either way, the Professor did not want to take any chances whatsoever. “Well, we have indeed enjoyed our little… experimentation with testing the boundaries of the school code. Names, houses, year, position if any. You have freshly become the cause of more paperwork on my end. I should like to ensure that others may learn from your example.”

Once again, those eyes flicked across all of them, narrowed and in his usual state of disappointed tenseness. He wanted nothing more than to set these troublemakers up with detention and then teach his classes in peace with no further distractions.
You have been caught by my patrol. You have broken IC rule #3 which all students must be in their common rooms by 8:00pm, effectively breaking curfew.

Feel free to continue to interact with one another and Professor Chiadovini, but your actions have indeed merited detention. I will send an owl as soon as possible explaining further instructions.

As a final note: You are NOT in OOC trouble.

The hair on the back of Winter's neck stood up as she knew exactly what was about to happen. Without hesitation, winter stepped through the door and into the light of the moon so that her figure was presentable. My name is Winter Wolfhartz sir, from the Hufflepuff house, first year...please do not discipline these two others it was my fault, to begin with..I snuck out and I'm sure they came along to return me to the dorms...." she said, slightly turning her head to the additional students. Meeting eyes with the professor once again, she folded her hands over each other and began to speak once more "I understand and accept the outcome of my actions...", she spoke in a low tone, letting her head hang down a bit. She knew he probably wouldn't listen but what more could she do than hope? After all, it really had been winter's fault that the other curious students had followed. The word rummaged through her head 'detention..' winter had never been in detention before, she normally got away with most things as she was pretty stealthy. And though she was shy she always had the urge to help people even if it meant getting in trouble. And considering it was her fault she was going to try to help in any way she could.

Dakotas first reaction was to slink further back into the shadows. Having almost never gotten in trouble this was a first for her but, most likely, wouldn’t be the last. While she had never truly feared Chiadovini she also knew the stories from other students who had dealt with him so stepping forward seemed to be the better option.
As she stepped out of the shadows to stand by Winter, her blue eyes twinkling and now being seen wearing a nightgown with “cat nap” written across it and her pink wrap around her shoulders. “Dakota Olson..Hufflepuff, first year, Professor.” while Dakota had never been a trouble maker during most defiantly didn’t want to be a example of what not to do, she knew that was most likely going to happen. Dakota had been a quiet student in Chiadovinis classes, in most of her classes, in fact, if it weren’t for the fact that Dakota spoke up every once and awhile, it would be almost like she wasn’t there.
Smiling a bit at Winter, she mouthed a quick thank you to her for trying to help cover up the fact that Dakota and Aldor had gone out at night. It was to follow her but still- as she thought this she puffed out a sigh. “I also accept any punishment you see fit, Professor Chiadovini.”.

The Hufflepuff trembled in fear as soon as he felt his proffesor's presence, and even more when he heard his voice, Aldor knew this could happen, but the fact that his fears became reality made him freeze in place, unable to do anything. It felt exactly like every time he delivered homework and only received a cold look from him. But this time it was much worse, because this time he knew he would get in trouble.

This would be the first time Aldor got in trouble, his history had been completely clean up until now, he was sort of sad, but his main worry was what would happen next, he wasn't sure, but if they got into trouble because of being out this late, he didn't want to know what would happen to the student who had gone into mister Chiadovini's class. He wasn't angry, he knew that he deserved detention for what he had done, so he bowed down lightly, and apologized for his transgression.

''Aldor Humbleglow, Proffesor Chiadovini, sir, I am a first year Huffleppuff, no special position, I followed another student here, I apologize for my mistake, this will not happen again-''

His voice was shaky, he was unable to say anything without stuttering, he didn't want to be there, at all, but he should've thought about that before he went out of the dorms. He felt like he could say a hundred excuses to say, but he knew that first, it wasn't going to work, and second, it was definetely not worth it, he had done a mistake, and he had to fix it, the only way possible which was following his profesor's instructions.

One side of Aldor wanted to act like a mature, and understanding person, but the other couldn't help feeling sad, he was just a kid being reckless, but he knew he had done wrong by breaking the rules, he would take it as best as possible, and learn from what he had done, but he wasn't sure how his classmates would take it.

But he preffered to stay quiet, assuming his responsability, not trying to be a hero or anything, simply accepting he coud have made better decisions, but he didn't.
