Second stage duel may have been around a month ago but they still were haunting some. The outcome was different for each team. After the first stage duels, Henry had won his duel and a great partner whom he might have had a crush on. But now... now Henry had a third year partner whom he let down during their duels and one lost duel.
No words could be said on how Henry felt. He was angry at himself and disappointed that he let the rest of the team down. But the twelve year old was also determined. Determine that he won't lose again. Determine that he won't let himself fall unconscious in another duel. Determine to win his next duel for his house, the team, and himself.
However the twelve year old also had pretty bad self esteem and self worth issues that developed when he was younger mainly because of his twin... anyway because of that it also filled the young duelers mind with guilt and panic not to mention a feeling of worthless. Like no matter what he does it will fail. Like he can't help or do anything right because in the end he will fail because that's who he is... a failure.
Both of these feelings.. thoughts battled it out in his the twelve year old's mind as well as different memories constantly ever since he lost his second stage duel.
So after waking up in the hospital wing with his chest hurting, the young dueler decided that every waking moment he would practice. He would practice and study every dueling spell and strategy that he could. He would study harder and longer, learning spells years ahead of his time and continuous practicing the ones he already knew until they are better... until they are perfect... until he could cast them and they won't backfire or miss. The second year made a promise to himself that he won't let the last duel repeat itself, that he won't fall unconscious again, that he won't let his third year partner down, that he won't lose again.
Even with the dueling practices with the slytherin team and practicing with his best friend, the twelve year old still felt like he wasn't doing enough so the second year would rise with the sun on a day off. Changing into some comfortable clothes and slinging a backpack over one shoulder with his wand tucked in it.
Henry was careful not to disturb his orange feline; Loki who still slept at the end of his bed or his bunk mate; Michael on the top bunk as he slipped out of the dormitory and common room heading to the dueling room.
Skipping out on breakfast as Henry stepped into the dueling room, crossing to the side as he placed his backpack on the ground before pulling out his wand.
Taking a few steps away from his bag and facing an semi empty wall as Henry took his position, wand in front loose but not that loose with his knees slightly bent and mind focus on the duel or practice ahead.
A beat.
"Flipendo!" Henry would shout and spark flew from his wand, watching the sparks as Henry bit his lip a bit seeing only the flaws in his spells. The things that could wrong or did could wrong instead of the success of the moment.
Taking his position again and shouting"Flipendo!" and sparks flew from his wand again at the wall. Henry brushed a strand of hair from his face and again wasn't satisfied, he saw only what needed improvements. Only the faults in the spell. Only what could and would go wrong if that was a actual duel.
Pointing his wand out again and shouting"Flipendo!" Sparks flew again as the boy started to breath a bit harder and his emotions slowly sinking in, his eyes had dark bags understand from his lack of sleep and he seemed unnaturally thin as well probably from all the meals that he skipped to practice dueling.
"Flipendo!"
"Flipendo!"
"Flipendo!"
Sparks flew from his wand after each shout. His breaths deeper as Henry stared at the wall ahead and thoughts filled his head... thoughts of words from others...
'Your a failure and you'll always be!'
'Everyone would be better off with you!'
'No one would notice if you disappear'
'Your weak! And stupid! And a disappointment'
'He's a freak! Just look at him'
"FLIPENDO!"
Sparks flew from his wand as both hands dropped to his side, his breath harder and quicker as thoughts filled the boys head only to increase his anxiety and fill him with doubt and rage with himself.
Seconds turned to minutes
Mintues turned to hours
Dinner was nearly starting and outside sounds of footsteps and laughter could be heard heading to the great hall.
Even though his stomach protested, the twelve year old remained where he stood as he shouted" Ventus" and a burst of wind flew from his wall surrounding the twelve year, blowing back his hair.
Gritting his teeth as Henry shouted"Expelliarmus," only to wonder if it worked as his mind shouted at him it didn't and again thoughts filled his head as he continued to practice spells on end.
'You'll never get it because your stupid'
'Give up already and save yourself from another loss'
'Your pathetic, no wonder you have no friends'
'Your a freak that is destined for a life of nothing alone'
'You should have died instead of mum'
The last voice was that of his sister and a memory one that Henry remembered to that day. A few days after the werewolf attack that killed his mum and turned him into a werewolf and his twin sister yelled that.
He is to get sad and tear up at the words but now he's filled with raged and truthfully wanted to scream
"Cantis"
Sparks flew with uncertainly that the spell worked
"Mimblewimble"
Again the twelve year old wasn't sure if the spell worked but a part of him doubted that it side and again he shouted
"Mimblewimble,"
The boy was determined, determined to improve his skill. Determined to make his team proud. Determine to prove his co captain right and that he did belong on the team. Determine to help his third year partner in their next duel. And determine not to lose again like he lost against ravenclaw. Like he lost against the ravenclaw captain and her partner.
But can he when his thoughts battled inside his head. Fighting with himself if he could become better and did deserve his spot on the slytherin dueling or if he was a failure, worthless and should quit the team... these thoughts battled within his head since losing his second stage duels... since having his spells miss and backfire... since shouting off playful banter and getting some in return that the twelve year old was starting to thunk was true.
Wand pointed out, breathing getting harder and the boy shouted"Flipendo," sparks flew but to Henry he only saw the faults one mistakes within that cast he pointed his wand out again and cast the knockback spell on repeated as voices and thoughts continued to circle around his mind.
'It's no wonder how you lost to ravenclaw'
'All weak and awkward... no wonder you can't cast a spell correctly'
'Why haven't you quit the team yet? You'll be sparing the rest of another loss'
'No matter how much you practice won't make you any good'
'Once a failure, always a failure'
'Run away and save others the trouble already'
'If they even notice your gone'
"Flipendo!"
'Your a freak'
"Flipendo!"
'You'll never be anything good'
"Flipendo!"
'A loser who no body likes"
"Flipendo!"
'If you disappeared today no one would notice that your gone'
"Fli-
"Flipen-
"Flipend- Flipendo!"
"Shut up!"
Henry heard himself shout before taking the short paces and leaning his body against the wall.
Wand in hand and knowing that he had to continue as lack of sleep and hunger filled his mind, Henry would push himself off the wall and point his wand out
"Flipendo!"

Santario walked down the halls her messenger-styled school bag rested on the small of her back. This made it so that the people pushing towards the great hall would not crush its contents as she weaved and bobbed her way through the masses of chatting students. Santario, as per usual, was skipping mealtime in the great hall in favor of the duelling room. She had seen many faces in there coming and going and took note of those who had started showing up more often, especially when it was one of hers.
Henry was someone that she had been subtly keeping her eye on ever since their last meeting in the corridors and even more so since he had started showing up for extra solo sessions. A drive to become better could quickly become an obsession, and Santario was a shining example of that. She was obsessed with being the best, but not necessarily better than others. Though that was a cherry on top of the sundae some days. No, she strived to beat herself every day because if she did not, how would she be able to step up for herself and her friends.
She sighed softly and shook her head. They should not have to try so hard just to survive. They should be caring about dates to balls that would not murder them, the newest color of nail polish, who was crushing on who, and what they were going to do for their breaks. Instead, they were worried about forays into the dungeons, hags, if they could even trust the people that were supposed to keep them safe, and how much longer until devious curses completely consumed those they cared about…
Santario nearly jumped out of her skin as she was ripped out of her thoughts, wand instinctively spinning into her hand as she thrust the doors to the duelling room open, ready for a fight. Only to see Henry send out a Flipendo into the space. After seeing no real danger, she put her wand away and shut the doors behind her. Santario straightened the black zip-up hoodie that she wore to accompany her ripped black jeans as she walked closer to Henry. “The void talking shit again?” The silvery voice asked quietly as she set her backpack on the ground near the wall. After their last encounter, she thought she understood what Henry went through, and if she was right, she thought they went through something similar. A constant barrage of voices in your head whispered and sometimes screaming lies. Sometimes when you hear it so much, it gets harder and harder not to believe it.
Her sapphire eyes scanned him for a moment taking in his form, looking for the telltale signs of sleep deprivation. Whether she found them or not, she would and flip over the flap on her backpack and unzipped it to expose snacks, mainly individually wrapped hand pies. “Tell the void to screw off and come have a snack with me.” It wasn’t really a suggestion, but not quite a demand either as she held out a little pie to him her free hand would brush her long raven hair over her shoulder to rest on her back, though most of it would pile into the opening of her hood.

"Flipendo!"
Sparks flew from his wand as the twelve year old faced the empty wall staring back at him.
His breathing was hard and head throbbing from the thoughts and 'words' of others that was spiralling around his mind.
There was a moment that he wanted to stop. To head to the great hall and talk with friends while eating but there was another part. A louder, overbearing part that was telling him to stay. To stay and practice. Practice until he was better. Until he perfected his craft. So next time he won't fall unconscious. So next time he won't lose his duel. So next time he would provide aid to his partner. So next time he would benefit a situation instead of posing as a waste of space.
Wand pointed out front.
A breath.
The dueler would take a step forward and shoot his wand in front as he spoke" Flipen-"
“The void talking shit again?”
But he would be cut off by a voice.
Henry would redraw his wand and look to the side where the co captain of his dueling team stood.
Santario Martin, another who he notice would come to the dueling room to practice occasionally like the other duelers. Although their craft had hints of confidence and elegance, the second year may occasionally watch others practice in the room as a way to improve his own technique.
If this was another member of the Vipers, Henry would have ignored them but after meeting Santario in the corridors and hearing her words there was a part of him that liked the co captain a bit more than the rest.
"Possibly," Henry spoke before taking his position again and pointing his wand out as his mind danced over different spells ranging from offensive to defensive.
"Cantis."
The boy shouted with the wand movement.
He felt that possibly he casted it correctly but wasn't entirely sure since without a proper target, spells like the singing jinx wad was difficult to see if it succeeded but it didn't matter to Henry since he only saw his failure. What went wrong or could wrong.
Wand out in front again as he took his stance ready to cast again when words brought on a distraction.
“Tell the void to screw off and come have a snack with me.”
Henry was about the decline the offer to continue practicing but his eyes drifted toward the co captain hand that held the wrapped pie.
The twelve year old tried to focus his mind back on practicing, on improving his skill but something else was brewing in his mind.
Either by the co captain's wording which allowed it to sound like neither a suggestion or demand or by the slight pain in his stomach from skipping any form of food that day.
Eyes back ahead as he was ready to cast the next spell but his mind wasn't focus, it kept lingering back toward the small package.
Finally after another minute or so, the second year would keep his wand in hand but move over to the wall where Santario was holding out the pie.
"Thank you," Henry spoke as he took the small pie from her and carefully unwrapped the pie before slowly started to eat it. It was probably hunger speaking but it tasted like the best thing he ever eaten.
The twvele year old would slide his wand in his back jean pocket before leaning his back against the wall as he continued to eat the small pie, using the wrapper as a plate almost.
"Thank you again for the snack," Henry spoke before his mind cross over into dueling and he couldn't help himself but ask, " During your duels do you use a offensive or defensive strategy more? Also will partners and members be changed in the teams next year depending on the duels this year?"

The signs were there in the boy that was running himself ragged as he continued to cast a spell; he would never know was truly successful or not. But she was patient as she held the hand pie in his direction, not wavering for a moment until he finally decided to accept it. “You’re welcome.” She responded as she took out another small hand pie and unwrapped it for herself. They were still warm, not hot, but warm, and once bitten into spiced, meat and potatoes would be tasted. “I’ll let my grandparents know they are liked. They own a bakery in Ireland.” She spoke between bites. Most people didn’t know that Santario was half Irish, and it wasn’t exactly evident given her French accent, but there were times when she came back to school a little more Irish than French.
He would thank her once more, and she would offer him a small smile. “My grandparents would be pleased to know that I am sharing.” She had technically shared her monthly treats one other time, but Henry wasn’t at the Halloween lockdown. It had not gone unnoticed, and while he could have just been in his dorm, she did not think so. She knew too many other of his suspected kind to not be suspicious, but that would not be something she would bombard him with. No, that would be something she would allow him to come to her about if he ever felt so inclined.
Santario would stand up fully and stretch, reaching her fingertips to the ceiling while going up on the toes of her shoes before gently lowering herself solidly back on her feet as Henry asked her about duelling. She looked up at him, their four-inch height difference not really requiring a complete upwards look, but a slight one all the same. “Pretty offensive, to be honest. I like to work on debuffing and then striking them with heavier spells. That is usually what I go for, but of course, sometimes that changes depending on what my opponents do.” Her index finger tapped the tip of her nose a few times as she thought about how to answer his second question. Not because she needed to make up an answer, but more because she had not really given it a ton of thought until this very moment. Her hand would drop back to her side as she started to answer Henry again. “Truth be told, we have not really talked about it yet with this year being our trial and error year. However, much like quidditch, it would not make sense to change members in general. Once you are on the team, you are on the team, and you won’t be removed just for losing duels; we would never have full teams if that were the case. Besides, part of losing is learning; you can only get better from there, in my opinion. To be removed, it has to be by personal request…”
She gave him a look that said he better not be asking to leave again before continuing. “Through misconduct like purposefully attacking your teammate and of course if you completely lock up on the duel and fail to act in general. It is seen as a risk to have you on the field at that point, and since duelling is already very dangerous, we would rather people wait until they have the confidence not to completely lock up like that. So we let them sign back up for the waitlist if they want it. It is possible that partners might change, but I am honestly unsure; if we did change the partners, it would be to match up people who can better complement each other for the next year. Especially since waitlists directly replace someone who has been removed, and it is possible that they are not a good fit since we made the original teams based on how your individual skills worked together. I hope that made sense.” It was a long-winded answer, to be sure, but she hoped it answered his questions correctly.
Santario would reach down towards her bag and grab the last two hand pies in it only to reveal wrapped muffins underneath. She had learned very quickly that her friends wouldn’t rebuke her for skipping meals if she brought snacks with her. “Do you like peaches?” She asked as she held out the second pie indicating these ones flavor ahead of time. She was not hiding the fact that she knew he needed to eat, but she hoped by not outright saying it that he would be more receptive to eating. Sometimes, for those observant enough, her cold façade could be seen through, and the heart of a healer and caretaker could be seen. Sure she was not above doing dastardly deeds when they needed to be done or hurting people who deserved to be hurt, but when those two conditions didn’t need to be met, she honestly cared about most people.

The hand pie was good and it did satisfie his hunger pains but once the second year finished, he knew that he needed to continue practicing since that was the only thing that he knew to do to improve his skills and be better prepared for his final duel that year.
Henry would stuff the wrapper in his pocket and take a few steps from the wall, before pulling out his wand and taking position however the co captain voice was heard.
Henry remained in a dueling position but would nod to her before asking" your grandparents own a bakery in Ireland?" The second year would take a step forward and strike his wand like he just casted before retaking his stance as he spoke" I always thought you were French from the accent," the second year thought he had a pretty good outline of his fellow duelists but apparently he didn't.
Henry would hold his wand at eye level and strike again but not necessarily casting before retaking his position and replying to the girl, " is sharing unusual for you then?" However this time he would point his wand and shout " Flipendo, " taking a step forward as sparks flew from his wand.
Henry brushed a few strands of hair from his face and only counted the failures before retaking his stance and hearing the co captain's words.
"That's smart, with any battle really. If you take away your opponent's way of fighting back then their not much of a threat are they," Henry replied as he took a step forward along with his wand as he spoke" Cantis," however there wasn't anyway he could tell that his spell was casted correctly so Henry assumed he cast it wrong and retook his position.
Henry heard the first part of Santario's answer and eyed her a bit, a part of him swore that she was looking at him like he was going to day something stupid.
Henry ignored it and look back ahead still listening to her words before nodding a bit with reply, " just curious since there were multiple who left the team this year," before taking a swift step forward along with his wand as he shouted" Flipendo," green sparks shot from his wand again but Henry only saw his failure.
Retaking his position and aiming is wand at the wall ready to cast again when the co captain's voice came back.
Henry eyed the girl as he spoke" I'm starting to get the feeling that your purposely distracting me," still he took the short paces to her and carefully took the pie as he spoke" thanks," the second year was hungry for skipping meals so again he would unwrap the pie carefully and use the wrapper as a plate before taking a bit of it.

“Half-French and Half-Irish. I primarily live in France, so it was not that far from the truth. My primary residence when I was accepted into Hogwarts was Dartford, England, however. And yes, you could say I like to keep things to myself.” She answered him in turn as he asked the questions. She was not opposed to answering questions about herself, well, not usually anyway. More or less, she just wasn’t used to being asked. Save for two people, the girl was generally invisible to others, and while that gave her unique chances to observe and watch, it also left for little to no conversation opportunities for others.
He let her ramble on as she answered his questions in the most logical way she could before finally calling her out on her distractions. Yet, he would still take the pie, but the girl could not help but allow a smirk to spread itself across her lips. “Just a little. Enough to eat anyway.” It would not take more than three unladylike bites for Santario to finished off the small peach hand-pie. Once finished, she would unceremoniously toss the wrapping back into her bag. “Alright, Henry, Let’s do this then.” She spoke as if they had made some prior arrangement to be in this room together at this time. Though no such agreement existed, she was just pushing her way into his practice and purposefully so.
Santario drew her cherry wand and walked to the side of the room that Henry had been casting towards before facing him. “Hit me with your best shot.” It was different when you had a live target and could actually check to see if your spells worked or not. Casting cantis at a wall only had so much effect to it, plus you had to focus on what song you wanted your target to sing, and walls couldn’t sing. She pointed her wand at him with no attempt to cast, but he did not know that. Right now, she stared him down with the same face she stared everyone down with who stood on the wrong side of the ring with her.

Henry stood facing the wall. Wand at the ready. Before taking a step forward and adjusting to move his wand forward as well. The twelve year old was practicing the movement before he would actually cast a spell that he doubted would actually succeed.
The words from Santario filled the silence and while the boy kept his eyes at the target, he understood that she preferred to keep things to himself for certain things he was the same way so the twelve year old didn't ask questions or press on certain topics. One's life could be compared to a book, it was hard to tell what the pages held from looking at the cover but not all books could be read either.
No matter the second year would nod slightly toward the co captain as he replied" I guess we're lucky then that during the time you were in England instead of France since if you were then you would be at beauxbatons right now and no one here would know you. Not to mention the slytherin dueling team would be bloody awful," it was meant as a joke but also the truth since he doubted the Vipers wouldn't be half of what they were already of Santario wasn't there. The girl seemed different compared to others in their house.
"Flipendo!" Henry spoke taking a step forward as he traced the wand moment watching before sparks fly from his wand. Except the only thing that the boy saw was his failure and determination to cast again to improve on the skills where he lack in.
Only there was a slight distraction, Santario handing him a peach pie and Henry's hunger from the meals that he skipped.
The boy would unwrapp the hand pie and use the wrapper as a plate as he took almost quicken bites as a way to get back to practicing. However the hand pie was rather good and almost melted in one's mouth not to mention that Henry saw his co captain smirk toward his comment about distracting him.
The twelve year old would stuff the wrapper into his pocket and step back to his spot when he heard his co captain's words and watched her move opposite of him only to say" what-" cut off not by surprise but but worry and panic. While practicing dueling against another was better than nothing it wasn't like he was practicing with Logan this time. The second year would be practicing against his co captain...
Henry started to panic and worry about if she saw how terrible he really was then would he be cut from the team? Or what if he would knock himself unconscious again because his spells would backfire again? Or what if this was a test, a test that determined who could remain on the team for next year but dueling a co captain or captain of the team?
Henry felt worried and his anxiety increase even when he heard her words. Thoughts filled his head whole situations of what could happen played in his mind.
"A..are you sure?" Henry spoke and actually stutter, the only time his stutter was present was when his anxiety was on the rise as he took a breath before continuing" your a brilliant dueler Santario but are you sure about dueling me? I'm not the greatest and I have a higher chance of completely missing you or having my spells backfire against me so perhaps I'm not the best to practice with. Is this a test to determine who stays on the team for next year? And I don't want to hurt you either or something could go wrong-"

Santario raised her eyebrows at him, one arching higher than the other. “Well, I’m certainly not in here to serenade you with a jovial song. Unless, of course, you make me.” A wicked smile played with the corners of her lips as her sapphire eyes gleamed. She would shake her head when he asked if this was a test.
“Certainly not. Those kinds of things are beneath me. If I didn’t want you on the team, you wouldn’t be here, plain and simple.” Not quite true to be told she would have to have Bridget and Dmitri’s approval along with getting it approved by Professor Jensen, but that really wasn’t the point, and the last thing that Henry really needed to be hearing was the lengthy process that it would take to get him kicked off of the team without him resigning or breaking the rules.
“I can counter anything except Curse of the Boogies. So I see no harm in you practicing, besides casting a live subject is far easier to learn from than casting at something that does not respond. I want to help you get better, and if we need to have regular practice duels to do so, why not? Even if all I do is stand here while you cast at me, I nullify the effects. Then at least you know your spells are working. So what is there to lose?” As far as she saw it, he didn’t have all that much to lose from where he was standing.
“If you really do not want to, I will not push you, but I am more than willing.” Thi wouldn’t just benefit him anyway. Taking hits would also benefit her in ways of helping her build up her stamina. She certainly wasn’t getting a ton of practice from their duels since everyone targeted Bridget.

If he does choose to cast at her you can designate whether spells are successful or not without rolling if you want to. Santario will purposefully not try to dodge anything he throws her way unless he does CoB. If you do want rolls I am okay with that as well.

Henry heard her comment and oddly felt himself relax a bit but still rather tense at the thought of hitting his dueling captain with a spell that could possibly do some damage.
Henry was also worried about his spells failing and for Santario to see that he truly was a embarrassment and failure and that he didn't deserve his spot on the slytherin team like the others. Ever since his last match the young term kept running calculations in his head, with his spell success and accuracy compared to other members of his team but also he kept imagining himself failing again. Either thoughts were goof especially at night.
Henry would nod slight to her and feel a small breath be released from him when he heard her words.
At least this isn't a test...
"But she could be lying to you"
"It could be a test, to see if you worthy of being a viper or not"
"If it is then you'll fail since you are a failure"
"finally she will see that your a failure"
Henry would stare at Santario unsure what to do, his emotions may have been hidden behind his barrier but they were pressing aginest his mind as he was determining what his next move would be.
Henry would listen to her explanation and nod a bit, after all it did make sense. Having someone there allowed Henry to see if his spells were hitting or actually doing anything plus it could help him focus and train on his accuracy however the young boy still felt like it would be wrong. He saw it only as she was helping him and he wasn't helping her, the thought made him feel sick even if it shouldn't have.
"That makes sense, having a actual opponent instead of a imaginary one if always beneficial but it won't help you, would it? I don't want to waste your time Santario, wouldn't you rather pratice to hone your skills as well," Henry asked fiddling with his wand as he still struggled with what to do ask and thoughts floated through his mind with that familiar voice.
"She knows you won't hit her because she knows your a failure"
"She already good at dueling, she isn't a failure like you"
"Just walk away, same yourself the time and embarrassment"
"There's a simple answer for this, even a familiar like you should see it"
"After today, she'll see that you don't deserve to be a Viper"
"Just quit the team already, you can't improve no matter how much you practice"
"Once a failure, always a failure"
Henry nodded to her words for a moment and took a breath finally coming with a answer as he position himself across from her before speaking" alright then uh thanks for the help and practice, it really will help me Santario. However I do want you to try to dodge the spells, one of the leading factors in my last duel was accuracy so and it will also help you pratice evading oncoming spells. Not that my spells will be hard to dodge or anything," Henry looked down a bit before back at Santario with a small smile as he spoke" I apologize in advance if I do hurt you."
The young lad directed his wand in Santario's direction and took a breath, figuring he should start off with the knockback jinx since it was one he practiced numerous times but never seemed to hit anyone in actual duels.
The boy felt his arm snake and breathing quicken as he spoke normally, "Flipendo, " however he would pull his arm to the right at the last moment which sent the sparks finding away from Santario. Missing her completely.
Henry felt his face fluster as he took a breath before speaking" sorry about that, uh," the young teen remembered a few other spells that he practiced earlier and didn't know if they worked or not but assumed they failed as he focused his mind and directed his wand at Santario.
The young teen took a deep breath before speaking"Mimblewimble," before watching the tongue tying spell fly toward Santario only to wonder if she would dodge it or if his accuracy was improving.

Santario was not going to say it out loud, but she was undefeated and, on average, did more damage and hit more often than her older duel partner. She did not precisely need to hone her own skills; San did so because she had an unhealthy obsession with proving that she could be better than yesterday. Usually, doing that was a good thing, but it was almost all she thought about in her case.Health| 700/700

“We are only as strong as the weakest person on our team. I would rather help lift others up than continue to work to rise above them. And, no, I am not calling you the weakest person on our team. Do not even go there.” Though likely that was too late, he might have been already there, and there was not a thing she would be able to do about that.
“As you wish. I shall treat you like any normal person casting against me then. Do not worry about hurting me. I can take it.” It was true she could. In fact, him hitting her would be more of a help to her than any practice she could do by herself. Hitting her and doing damage is what would help build up her fortitude allowing her to take more hits in the end.
A Flipendo would sail to the right, her eyes following it, not even needing to try and dodge it. “Don’t be sorry. Never apologize. Just breath; you can do it.” Then Henry cast the tongue-tying spell. Naturally, the other one she would not be able to counter that she had forgotten about. Granted, she didn’t really need to cast spells at him; she just needed to be a target and, at his request, a moving one.
Santario was quick but not quick enough as his curse hit the side of her cheek, successfully locking her lips shut forcefully. She could tell it would not last as long as it could, but she had a feeling it had been close. She raised her eyebrows at him and motioned with her hands as if to say See, look at what you can do. She waved her fingers towards her telling him to cast again. She was ready.
