A beautiful view
"I love it,I really do. Just being surrounded with this much magic, and teachers that are so passionate about what they do? It's just...amazing. I wish my brother to help guide me around, sometimes though, I wish I had a best friend here. It's been a couple days I know it doesn't happen that fast, but I feel kind of lonely." Dawns heartbeat raced at this reply, as she too wished she had a best friend.
As Alina spoke, Dawn couldn't help but be amazed at the amount of expressions Alina managed to convey while just saying very little. The words that Alina was saying slowly came to Dawn and she realized once again that Alina mentioned her brother. "I guess.." Dawn started out so quietly she wasn't sure if Alina heard her. She cleared her throat and started again, louder this time. "I guess, I feel that way too, lonely I mean. Sure, I'm always reading but a book isn't a friend, you know what I mean? It's a way to escape the world around you for a few hours." Dawn remembered Alina mentioning earlier that she's either too forward or people are too distant and Dawn wondered if she herself was distant.
"I think I might just miss my family. Do you?" continued Alina after watching a few friends pass by. Dawn looked down at this question, sadly. Be strong, your over it, remember? whispered a voice from deep inside. Dawn smiled and confidently replied,"My family is just my father and there's no doubt that I miss him."

Alina nodded along to Dawn's comments. "It's exactly like that but with plants for me! They don't really talk back, and they can't hug you or tell you nice things," she shrugged. Dawn continued, "my family is just my father and there's no doubt that I miss him."

The sun was starting to warm her up again, and she could feel herself lazily soak it in like a cat. "I can't imagine what it would be like not to have a mama. Are you and your papa close?" She asked, looking over to Dawn. The way she answered Alina's earlier question raised some suspicion in her, like there was something just not quite right with her words. She could press further for answers, but it was pretty impolite and family was a touchy subject, even for her. A beautiful view
"What happened to your mama?I can't imagine what it would be like not to have a mama. Are you and your papa close?" Alina asked with a curious expression. Dawn was slightly taken aback when Alina asked her this as she was never asked directly. Having being young when her mother passed away, Dawn was never really affected, but the fact that she was missing a parent caused minuscule restlessness. Taking a liking towards Alina, Dawn decided to share the occurrence and said,"Oh my mother? She passed away when I was younger. I've always wondered what it feels like to have a mother, but I guess I'll never really know. " Dawn tightened the towel around her shoulders and lowered herself onto the soft yet prickly green grass. She looked up at the clouds that were gathered above her and continued, saying with a smile,"My father is my greatest friend, so I guess, yes, I am close to him, as he is my only family. I know he works hard to look after me, so I managed to find a way to become independent. You know, he didn't want to send me here, but I insisted because I knew I'd be taking work off of his shoulders. " She felt weird saying this all out loud as she had always kept it to herself, but at the same time she felt rather relieved and free.
