Searching for the wrong answers
Henry felt his heart drop when he heard the man's words but didn't exactly show it as he was deciding if the answer was the truth and the caretaker really couldn't help him or if he was just saying that to get him to leave because Ileen beat him there.
Henry had a longing to run and search the records himself but didn't so instead he just nodded a bit as he spoke politely, " I understand and thank you for your time sir," Henry knew he needed another way to look for the records that he decided. Perhaps he would come back when the caretaker seemed like moody or angry however he wasn't exactly sure when that would be.
Henry heard the caretaker's voice and saw him waiting for him to leave so Henry only nodded as he spoke" I understand sir, thank you for your time and I'm sorry to bother you this evening," the young teen would walk across his however a familiar but distinct smell would appear in his nose.
Henry would turn back to the caretaker wondering what the smell was when the door slam shut. It was odd but the young teen tried not to focus on it as he turned and started to make his way to the common room trying to find another way to get what he needed but also seeing one flaw in all his plans.
Ileen. Their shared surnames could make things difficult for Henry and that night was the first time he saw and felt how difficult it would be, Henry hoped that would be the last time something was difficult for him because he shared a surname with Ileen. However that also became the night that would start Henry's feeling toward the girl and his plan to find his information on his family that year.
