Aspen is floating on a pink cloud, one made of tulle and silk, one made of dreams and desires. Our girl feels beautiful in her new, cloud goddess dress and white kitten heels. Her hair has been lightly curled with the help of an older girl in her dorm and her nails painted with the help of @Lamont Runesby; her getting ready truly being a team effort.
Aspen walks out of the Hufflepuff dorm, joining the stream of students heading towards the ball, with her wand safely in hand. Aspen is not coming just to dance and flirt, but to try to help keep this school safe from the monsters that seem to arrive at every happy festivity in this school.
Sliding her way around people chatting, Aspen heads over to the refreshment table, taking a drink in hand and beginning to sip on it. As she sips, the first year looks around, trying to find the redhead girl, trying to find her ally just in case it all goes to hell and she needs someone. Aspen makes eye contact with the older girl, raising her glass in salute before looking away, letting her enjoy her time with her date, letting her have fun before there is something to fear.

#b76e79 At least she wasn't alone?
The infamous Blossom Ball was here. Everly could say she was excited, and that would be a half-truth. Although it was sort of her fault, because she didn't want to go with anyone, but she also didn't want to go without someone, and that just messed Everly up. And she couldn't say she had any experience with balls whatsoever, because she really didn't. The last ball she didn't attend because she was scared out of her wits, and for good reason. At least, now she had worked up enough courage to come.
Everly couldn't say she hadn't had any fun with the theme nor her outfit. Everly wasn't the biggest on fashion and appearance, but the theme? Ancient Greece? Interesting. Fitting that she was now in what was the labeled 'the Underworld', feeling quite prestigious in her dress, adorned with jewelry, too - a butterfly bracelet and some flower clips in her hair. She wasn't sure, though - was it not Greece-y enough? She couldn't dwell on it too long, though; there were more pressing matters at hand.
In a last-minute panic, Everly had asked her Slytherin friend Starlee to accompany her to the Blossom Ball. After all, she had found Starlee to be a delight to be around, and at least she wouldn't feel too lonely with her. She found Starlee first, luckily enough, meaning she didn't have to stand around awkwardly waiting, wondering if the other person would indeed show up. (Everly was the other person here, but she at least showed up.) "Starlee!" Everly shouted from across the room, waving wildly. "Hi! Hi! Ooh, you look so pretty!" Everly gushed admiringly, looking over the girl's outfit. Noticing the drink she held in one hand, Everly examined it suspiciously. "Huh, what's that? It looks... interesting," she said with a doubtful frown on her face. "Ooooh... and, uh... Hero's Trials," Everly said, lifting one eyebrow. "Interesting."may 29, 2021

Trigger Warning: Mature Psychological Themes
Aida was... different after her concussion. With the disappearance of Kayden Lind, Aida's confidence in her ability to remember and know the world shriveled. How much of her and Alexander's memories had been fabricated? Was some puppetmaster really controlling the student body's perception of reality? Though she hadn't seen the visions of the Undead King nor the White General recently, their voices grew more persistent by the day. Though she continued in her efforts to train in duelling, honing herself into a weapon for the confrontation that would hopefully restore Alexander's and her memories, the feverish hours of drills and bouts had become a sort of cage of their own. They seemed no closer to finding whom the house elves seemed so afraid of while the hours of Aida's life burned away. The white witch had long since begun to question the existence of such a threat, but every time she looked at the haunted face of Alexander she knew that somewhere, somehow, they would have to get to the bottom of this... and still the voices of the White General and the Undead King spoke to her unbidden.
Entering the Underworld, Aida was not the glowing white figure people had come to recognize. Her once white albino skin and hair now dusky were smudged over with dark ash. She walked in now as a representation of Ares, God of War, clad in gunmetal grey Hoplite armor with a tall black-and-white plumed helmet. An ash- and char-streaked half cape screamed out in red against her monochrome backdrop while the only other bright color shone from the blue-violet of her eyes.
She had come alone, but in the distance a pair of silvery violet eyes spied her immediately. As Aida scanned the crowd in search of one particular pair of Slytherins, she sighed. Bodies moved around her, but not the ones she was looking for. Then, over her right shoulder--Outfit (but not muscular nor full-figured):Reducio
"Yeah, that's right Alexander Varellion is a psychopath and the rest of you would be better off if you kept your distance also!" came a voice.
Turning sharply, Aida quickly drew and pointed her wand towards the voice. Was she to fight now?
Pushing through the crowd, Aida tried to find the source of the shouting. Then she saw him, coming towards Marion: the figure of Alexander. He was dressed to impress, and so Aida was. Stopped in place she stared, heart in her throat. There was no battle. The two began talking. Ash-covered eyebrows knit together as Aida listened, watched. Soon the pair seemed to be turning to exit towards the Ball, and Aida intended to follow. Perhaps she felt a little less visible without her white skin and hair screaming out her presence, but it didn't matter. If they were descending into hell itself nothing could stand in Aida's way.

Blossom Ball - Underworld
Valentin quietly entered the Underworld with his fellow Durmstrang friends, Yefim and Mikhael. He carried a new broom adorned with golden wings to match his winged hat and sandals... standing out, yes. He had considered wearing less remarkable attire to prevent drawing attention to himself, but regardless of what had happened to his mother, Valentin wanted to be brave. Even if her killer was dead, there could be more crazed fans out there just waiting in the sidelines... but Valentin was nothing if not brave, he decided.
The White Niffler came today dressed in black in the fashion of Hermes, god of Speed, greatest patron of thieves, and escort to the recently deceased. Against his white figure a large black cloak billowed as he walked. He seemed to be looking for something, as well as trying to ignore something: the corner of his mouth strained with tension.
Were his friends not here today, he might well not have come. Having recently lost his parents and still struggling with the destruction of the original Durmstrang quidditch team, Valentin was not his usual playful self. Instead, his eyes flitted around the room, taking in information as his hand fiddled with his broom.
Valentin's violet-silver eyes darted to the entrance as they immediately detected the arrival of one Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood, dressed distinctively as Ares the god of war. Some pair they were; Valentin's somber face was the same as one trying to ignore the pleas of the dead trying to come back to life. Aida's demeanor was, if anything, even more grim. Still, Valentin did not want to bring down his Durmstrang friends. Wanting them to have a good time here, the best he could muster was a stoic countenance. Aida turned quickly and approached others shouting in the crowd, drawing her wand as if to attack. Valentin leaned onto one foot, on the verge of approaching to lend support, but when the situation dissipated into peace once more he turned to look back at his Durmstrang friends. Yet, the way the white witch was looking over at one of the boys in the crowd... that gaze lingered in Valentin's mind.

Blossom Ball - Underworld
Moderation Post
Many folks, upon arriving to the Blossom Ball, hadn’t wished to linger in the melancholic air of the Underworld, and instead rushed off to the trials, fueled by a hunger for power, galleons, or both. Only a few with varied ill-intentions utilized the connection between the Underworld and the Spring location immediately, lingering in what was to come of this side of the Ball.
A hushed, melancholic symphony was playing in the background, allowing each attendee to revel in their personal entrance theme to the dark side of the Earth, whether they sought the coming of Spring or not. While the bluebell flames and the hollow darkness beyond them would catch a few eyes (@Santario Martin) that seemed to come on business calls, those partygoers that did linger often flocked to the refreshment tables and various fountains of alluring beverages unknown. A few—a daring, select few—would take a drink. Or, in some cases, collect one to later let it go.
Those who did drink would doubtfully taste anything distinct in their sips, but rather feel the moderate effects after consumption. The trickery was only present in trace amounts, masked by the more overwhelming flavors and aromas of casual punch.
Forgetfulness Potion
Most those who indulged in the contents of this fountain had been visitors from an international school, soon to forget they were anything at all. Each drinker would experience modest symptoms of the Forgetfulness Potion—an unknown degree of memory loss—just enough to be causing them a disadvantage for some time to come. One super hawt Arjan Oberoi @Serena Towers had the misfortune of consuming this beverage, followed by a slightly less hawt Luka Volkov @Kazuo Shimada. This was especially ill-fated for Luka, as he had a slight disaster soon to come. Rudolph Novikov @Adam Harrington joined them in their ignorance, as did the only Hogwarts native student of this bunch, @Samantha Salwis.
You’re forgetful. Perhaps you drone off in the middle of your sentences, forget you have a date, or forget what socially acceptable behavior is. You are unable to remember any spells this round.
Essence of Insanity
Ah, irrationality. Many students attending the Blossom Ball already had a fair dose of that. Both Anastasia Prokovdine @Violet Carrington and @Vivian Fletcher sipped from this fountain, and would be suffering from its effects, doomed to many coming lapses in their hindered judgements.
You are liable to act on any impulses—good or bad—at any moment. You have an advantage when performing any action based on a fearful impulse.
Befuddlement Draught
A popular drink among the partygoers who quite apparently had many quarrels that needed confronting. It was good that they fetched a beverage that would surely ease their time expressing anger. @Falentra Black, for one, had been seething alone in her fantasies for a while and was pouring gasoline on her flames of irritation with every sip. Along with her, @Opeila Winters and @Violet Carrington would be proof that Hogwarts had its fair share of pent-up rage. @Aspen Summers, looking relatively harmless, would add onto this, and Opheile Moore @Rhea Miller would prove that it could come from any and all wizarding schools.
You are belligerent and reckless, a walking time-bomb. You have an advantage when performing any violent action.
No effect
What a lucky few! Both @Lucia Fox and @Starlee Kennedy took lead in their dance with the devil, happening to take their beverages from the fountain that didn’t suffer from the organizers’ drama-crazed tampering.
The Lovers Quarrels
Early in the ball, a lovely @Marion Davenport got into what appeared to be a lover’s spat with one @Vladimir Athanatos who would leave in a childish frustration to the Spring Celebration, on a hunt. The former’s date would arrive, proving the earlier assumption wrong, but raising many questions and curiosities about the initial pair. Perhaps said date, @Alexander Varellion would share in these inquiries.
A small cluster of redheads began to form when the apparently lonesome @Jack Burnett began to desperately flirt with @Eden Gardener. This attracted the attention of two other gingers, both seemingly fighting for the attention of Jack. Something about that costume caught eyes. When @Winnie Harper pathetically attempted to act rationally around her crush, @Ruka Burnett-Tân was forced to intervene, though perhaps not on the aforementioned crusher’s behalf. @Mathias Pride’s attempt to wreak havoc among them was shut down (albeit hilarious) and he left to cause trouble elsewhere. The remaining group would flee to the Spring Celebration.
Chaos was incited elsewhere when Pride rushed to the side of @Levi Drakos and planted an unforeseen, intense kiss on the boy’s mouth, directly in front of his date, one Nikita Lebedev @Paige Grant. The date retaliated against this by punching Pride—whom Levi referred to as Percival Gray—smack in the jaw.
This whole ordeal was caught on film by one Eris Livius @Kit Paine and her strange sense of what made a good photo. As Mathias fled to the Spring Celebration after collecting a drink, Eris would approach Levi and inform him that, due to being a Metamorphmagus, his hair and nails had turned bright red.Strength Roll

The Attacks
@Selim Faust had an evidently loose grip on the theme of the evening, arriving to the Underworld in an outfit that was indeed dark, but not related to any myths but those in nightmares. Most notably, a giant bunny head. @Aurora Ranvier was one of the frightened students that turned to action, attempting to eliminate the perceived threat from the shadows by attacking Selim with pepper spray.

The Rest of the Scene
The ball had already taken a slight dip into the realm of anarchy, isolated events of disorder and interest contributing heavily to overall eruption. Though she immediately crossed to the Spring Celebration, @Erin Ryan was a difficult sight to miss, having arrived in nothing but a sheet and a bottle of butterbeer in hand, rambling on about deathwitches and whatnot.
An unlikely couple (if you could use that term here) arrived before heading off to the trials, @Evelynn Decipio and @Marshal Mozor. Perhaps their pairing would draw some attention, whether due to the year difference or the extremely different costumes. In contrast to Evelynn’s innocent choice of wear, @Ileen Knight had arrived some time before with a bow and arrow, gaze enthralled in mysterious shadows. Something flittered, no skittered across the grassy earth. Perhaps too small to be noticed, too quiet to be heard. On the heels of the student body, it darted off into the shadows of spring. Plenty students had experienced their fair share of the Underworld and made it a point to retreat to the Spring, believing for some reason that it would be more composed.
Contributing to the chaos, Rodion Makarovich Aurora Ranvier had been stalking his apparent crush when tragedy struck. What had been an attempt to merely discard one of the dangerous beverages became a personal shower for Luka Volkov.
Fortunately for Luka, the drink did not seep past his lips and he was not double dosed in a fountain’s cursed potion. However, this did not change that his clothing and self was exceedingly soaked, and Rodion would have some explaining to do.Rodion spills the drink on Luka

Overall, while there had been some staggering incidents occurring sporadically throughout the Underworld, one could write it off as the mere drama of life, inevitable in a gathering with so many people roaming about. A lover’s quarrel, a clumsy hand, a nightmarish bunny costume. No one had died or been injured too severely yet, and this was a win compared to past events. The winded history of the Blossom Ball would die with this one, and ideally not take students down with it.
Some stories should never be told...

He couldn't help but giggle at the words Falentra used, it was so refreshing to have someone speak their mind to him, rather than exactly what one was supposed to say. It felt more honest, that she wasn't afraid of making mistakes. He idolized that about her, and how she seemed to stay above everything while still doing as she liked. He hadn't been given any reason to think she had ever faced any repercussions for this 'aloof' trait of hers, only that it seemed pretty cool. His laugh would get buried into her collar as she gave him a patented hug, and he would squeeze back lovingly.
His laughter slowed as they separated, when he automatically went to fix his hair. Just a habit. She complimented his garb, though he honestly had little to do with his own sense of fashion. It was really his sister who told him all he knew about suit and how to wear and keep them properly. They never really felt like much of an expression of himself, he was not sure what he would wear if it was what he 'should' be wearing.
Then, with a short pause, the question came. Was he wearing some sort of mopey face? He'd look up sheepishly, wondering what gave him away. Well, he couldn't just back out of it now that his face had spelled it out for him. "I'm exhausted. I'm a mess." He blurted out, shaking his head. "But seeing you makes me feel much better."
He meant it, he could relax around Falentra, she didn't judge him or hold unrealistic expectations for him, she was rooting for him despite his many dramatic meltdowns. For someone like that, someone who had love for him within them, he wanted to see them get every good thing that could be afforded them. He would move the stars if it would make her more happy.

INTERACTIONS: @Adlai Rod
She had somehow in whatever magical way endured the curious little challenges that had been set aside from them and shockingly, her dress was still in one piece and as brand new and fresh as when Elena had stumbled upon it in the Room of Requirement. She had just concluded the final trial which had involved composing an ode of sorts for Apollo, something Elena found she had rather enjoyed as well as compared to the other strenous and physical tasks the other challenges had them particpating in. This way however, she could rest easy knowing she had gotten it out of the way early and her name was hopefully up for grabs for the moniker of who would reign supreme over these godly trials. Elena really didn't care either way but it would be nice to have an added incentive and besides, it was always worth a shot so her Gryffindor side had spurred her on until the brunette found herself dashing through trial after trial, all of which had tested her in various that even Elena didn't think she would be.
A feeling of adrenaline that was still rushing through her, the girl weaved her way through the packed halls of Hogwart that were filled to the brim with students flocking to this ball and the crowd was nonetheless. She wasn't sure if Adlai was done with her trials yet but there was only one way to find out. The girls had gone off together but had gotten split when told some of the trials would have to be an solo effort. Well, correction, all of the trials had been a solo effort and she wasn't sure how her Hufflepuff friend had fared. There was only one way to find out if her gentle companion who had been through with her through thick and thin was here. There was no mistaking the glimmer of that hijab and abaya among all the other people. It was a one of kind as compared to the English and Western fashion so Elena reckoned Adlai would be pretty easy to pick out among the hundreds of students who were mingling about here.
As she squeezed past a couple of chortling third-years, the girl retraced her steps to the punch table deciding to take a swig of one supposing it couldn't hurt. After all, she was literally parched after having to run for a pomengrate as Hermes had them do. Raising the cup to her lips, the girl allowed the liquid to seep into her mouth exhaling a sigh of relief as the dryness she had been feeling began to fade away and she felt re-energized. Remotivated, rekindled and ready to tackle this Blossom Ball but preferably without the mosps this time. It was considerably more packed and more crowded then when Elena had left it but that was a given. As time drew on, she imagined more and more new faces would show themselves.
She was only looking for one face in particular however as she sipped her punch eyes skimming the crowd for anything that might look remotely like an hijab. Nope, not there. Maybe she wasn't back yet. That was fine, Elena could wait.

Open to InteractionsSweaty, tired both physically and mentally, and with no shoes Adlai returned to the main area where the ball was being held after she had completed the Trial of Apollo, where she had probably had the most fun all night as she indeed love to dance. However, now her attention was on finding Elena. They two of them had been separated from one another as the trials commanded it off them, though once an awhile she was able to catch a glimpse of her friend.
She wondered how Elena did, and if she felt as tired as she did only to reckon that she probably wasn't since Elena was most likely much more athletic than her. Nonetheless she squeezed through the crowd of people, giving her apologies here and there for bumping into people looking for any sign of the girl she had arrived with only to find her standing at the punch bowl.
How odd, that's normally my role. - she thought to herself.
"Elena! Over here!" she cried before she put her heels back on and made her last strides toward her friend. "I can't believe after all that you still look great!" she marveled, seeing that her friend hadn't seemingly broken a sweat.

Young Galton Lansdale had a peculiar relationship with school sanctioned events. Like his peers, they normally resulted in some unexpected suffering for the poor child; not that he could clearly remember the suffering. And so, he had tried to stay away from them for the year.
But staying away from things was not nearly as fun. The ball was all most kids seemed to be talking about, and with the new arrivals of some strange, hard to pronounce schools, it was shaping up to be quite the occasion. Suffering or no suffering. So Galton would be attending.
From what he gathered, the most important thing you needed for the ball was a good outfit. And it needed to be themed. A sad day when throwing on a formal robe was not enough, he would need to put some effort into this. He had overheard quite a few conversations about the event from his classmates at the meals and around the doors. He knew the keyword they all talked about "grease", or "ancient grease". Every conversation it was there. That funny singsong movie his mother had watched from time to time. Why the school would throw something themed around an American musical was beyond him, but it was quite ancient.
It was harder to procure a leather jacket than Galton had expected, but it wasn't exactly a staple of the wizarding wardrobe, so the difficulty made sense. It was a good thing he had planned ahead, no way he could have thrown an outfit together in only a few days. Galton the Glorious was ready for his ball debut.
Hair slicked back, clad in leather and denim the small boy made his way into the spooky looking courtyard. He did not remember Grease being so depressive, but it had been years since he'd seen the film. If he recalled correctly the greaser gang did have a few scary songs - like the one about a possessed lightning car. The mood lighting complimented his leather jacket, making the small boy pop just a bit more, so overall the theming decorations worked for Galton.
Wandering in he passed a faces he recognized. Various members of his house, or from the dueling clubs. Most had lackluster costumes though. Had they even tried? If there was some award for best dressed later tonight, Galton would be shocked if he was not the winner. The further in he moved the odder the décor seemed. The event planners were all students though, so what could you expect. He did not feel like he was in Grease.
There was one jewel that caught his attention. Amongst all of the random seeming features, there was a drink station. The punch was enthralling. He could taste the flavor profiles as the colorful array filled his eyes. He grabbed a cup and began dipping it into each bowl. How could one person choose just one? With a full chalice the little grease ball greedily drank, no sugar would be safe from him.

Nikita's parents would ask her how the ball went. And she would say good. Well, it started well. Then she punched a guy kissing some boy she wasn't even "going with" and it got caught on camera. Then her "date's" hair and nails turned red like a sickly rash spreading.
Before this, though, Nikita still wanted to show she was sorry. "Thanks. Yes, I know he's lying. He's too stupid for you, anyway. " She added, trying to bring some humor.
Wait.
Nikita was yet to actually notice the hair. The flash had left her slightly blinded, in her defense. But she also hadn't truly registered the red after a glace. The strange girl's words, though, caught her attention like a fish to the hook.
She looked at Levi and noticed his hair did, in fact, turn red. His face turned red, but that was only embarrassment. Or shock, maybe? She could only watch in shock of her own as he grabbed his hair only to see his nails turn into a matching red.
Her mouth opened slightly in... horror? She didn't know. In Levi's attempt to justify this strange thing, she wanted to get every to stop staring. But she couldn't think of how without causing more damage. This girl seems weird nice enough to help. "Since I'm sure this isn't normal, can we get staring eyes away in any chance? Well, that wasn't her plan but she found out her plans always came out better in her head.
