Like Riding a What Now?
@Anja Murtaja
Well, wasn't this a peculiar errand?
Opeila had not been aware that there was something like a "bike to work day", but she knew what a bike was and how to ride one. Seeing the announcement had made her feel strangely sentimental- biking was a part of her life in the muggle world, that had ended so violently. She had not realized how much she missed things as simple as biking, but seeing the opportunity to do so again just being presented to her... was this a dream?
Opeila's school wasn't too far away and sometimes in summer, when she felt like it, she went there by bike. She could never stand the air in the bus, all those people smelling of sweat after a hard day of school or work. In Hogwarts that was of course not necessary, she was in school the moment she left her common room.
The errand had to be organized by a muggleborn prefect or professor, or a halfblood one that knew a lot about muggle vehicles. As far as Opeila was aware, bikes weren't too common in the magical world.
The same evening Opeila returned to her dorm, and happened to be alone with one of her dormmembers for a while. A fellow cat owner, Anja. Her cat had a pretty name, Opeila remembered, Rusalka or something like that. Loras had left the other cat alone so far, he still had not finished his constant war with Liv. Opeila liked Ileen, but jesus christ, her cat was a little monster, even more so than Loras.
Anyway, Opeila brought up the topic of the errand and the two girls ended up agreeing to go and attend the errand together. The second year had been looking forward to spend some more time with one of her dormmates. She had made a few friends during her time at Hogwarts, but she was fairly distant to most of the girls she shared a bedroom with. Anja also seemed like a nice one, so if nothing went wrong, the day should go just fine.
So just on time on May 21st, Opeila and Anja arrived on the Quidditch pitch. Opeila had some mixed feelings about this place. Not that she minded Quidditch, but last year she had organized a forbidden ball on this very ground. And it had backfired like nothing else. But seriously, who could have expected those huge bugs to come out of the forest? No one! Fine, she knew a little more about the forest and its inhabitants since her talk with Howard last year, but still.
At least none of them had gotten into trouble for it.
The two Slytherins arrived just in time when Dee began her instructions how to ride a bike. Opeila grabbed a blue one that looked like it was about her size and looked at Anja. "Do you need the instruction?", she asked her housemate. If Anja knew how to ride a bike, great, but if she didn't, Opeila was definitely willing to listen to the instructions with her. Or alternatively explain it to the younger girl herself.

Jack looked up at the sound of his first name which he didn't hear often. It was followed by Kazuo's first name, which put him slightly more at ease; even more so when he realized Jake was the one calling them. Initially, Jack looked around for Jack Warren, wondering if Jake had been calling to the Hufflepuff instead of himself, but Warren was not in sight and the mention of Ruka made it clear that the badger boy was addressing no other Jack than himself.
He smiled a little and waved before following to where Jake had indicated Ruka was. The Gryffindor stuck his tongue out at his younger brother and rung his bell causing Jack to respond the same gestures and enthusiasm.
"Sorry, Morris. Give me a minute," he called to the younger, smaller second year. Something was going on between Ileen and Kazuo; something he hadn't expected. Had Ileen just tried to hex him? Jack hadn't even realized they knew each other, much less loathed one another. He had half a mind to come between them, but fortunately the spell didn't last longer than a single, strong sneeze and Ileen had already put her wand away. All that flew afterward were petty insults and snide remarks.
While Jack guessed Ruka might have needed help learning how to ride a bike, Jake was headed over to him, so he figured his older sibling didn't need his help on top of Jake's. The Hufflepuff was likely more than sufficient as a teacher by himself, especially while Jack tried to sort out what was doing on between Ileen and Kazuo. He cast his fellow Slytherin an incredulous grin when she asked him if he knew how to ride, walking his bike right up to her.
"Yeah, I'm muggleborn; I learned how to ride when I was younger. But...Knight, do you know what 'shimatta' means?" he asked, feeling a little awkward. Perhaps he had unintentionally given her ammo against Kazuo. "What's the matter? Did he do something to you?"
Soon enough, Kazuo appeared to reluctantly join them. Jack gave him an apologetic, sheepish smile. If he'd known Ileen and Kazuo didn't get along, he might not have gone over to her in the first place. He would have to ask the other boy what had gone on between them later; maybe telepathically if Kazuo felt like it. Jack wondered if Ruka knew about this.
"Well, you looked like you started off okay," he began, not wanting to add, 'before Knight hexed you', "but do you want to start with training wheels to get a feel for how the ride feels before you try to work on balancing yourself on it? It might help."
Then he turned to cup his hands over his mouth and call back the way he had come toward Ruka and Jake. "Try training wheels first! It also helps to mount your bike when the brake is down if you're using a bike without training wheels!"

"deciduous, it's another word for primarily or baby teeth," Henry explained calmly, the word was the first to come to mind since he had rather a extensive vocabulary. However the young teen would listen to the girl and nod slightly to her words before reassuring her, "since to was a primarily or baby tooth then another one will grow back but the one your swallowed shouldn't harm you."
The young teen never minded helping others, he actually liked it even through it may looked like he didn't. While the boy was considered shy and suffered from anxiety, that didn't mean he didn't like to help people. The young werewolf was actually quote responsible and mature for his age even with his liking to help others.
The young teen gave a small chuckle to her words before replying" that's another thing we both have in common, we both have or will have step parents," it wasn't the best similarity but it was one. Henry remembered he would be getting a step mother that summer along with siblings so knowing Aurora had a step father somehow soothed him a bit. Although he also wondered what happened to her biological father but didn't ask just in case it w a's s a sad story.
Henry would listen and smile toward the first year as she talked about the story, there was something strange about her or rather the interaction. It had nothing to do with presence, actually the day felt better being in her presence now. Henry found the young ravenclaw to be rather funny and intelligent, a bit mischievous, social and rather pretty. He was glad that he went that day and met Aurora again, this interaction was definitely worth it.
"Maybe we could create a story or something to get back at your stepfather for his own, if you want Aurora," Henry suggested smiling a bit before feeling a but awkward toward her words and getting a feeling like he should run but didn't.
The young teen just gave a two finger salute with a small smile as he adjusted the bicycle next to himself ready it learn. However he heard her muttering and felt bad for her but didn't show it as he replied" your missing tooth doesn't change the fact that your funny and kind and mischievous and intelligent and beautiful, " the young teen would offer her a small smile and think things over before speaking" if you find yourself alone at the ball then your more than welcome to hang out with me and my friends."

It was actually an enjoyable experience to talk with Henry. He mentioned something about would having step parents. Was his mother or father about to remarry again? Hopefully not a terrible person. “Will have? What do you-“ She stopped mid question after suddenly felt attacked by her own question. She never likes it when someone asks her about her step father. Although their relationship was not as bad as before, it was still a cat and mouse situation. Or perhaps, the interaction between two aggressive cats did a better job summarising their overall relationship. “Another thing, huh? What other similarities before you know about the step parent situation do you think we have?”. They do have some things in common, though, Aurora could be oblivious sometimes. Or all the time.
What kind of story possibly would fool Josh the stepdad? Everything magic related, of course. It might be a wonderful plan if her mother will be kind enough to let Aurora has all the glory. “We could, but I don’t know if it’s a ‘me’ problem or he is just-“ She paused for a bit to think of the appropriate term to describe Josh, her ego was too high to admit the fact that her stepdad has a good functional brain. “-has a decent understanding about magic.” There was no change in her expression, but there was a hint of bitterness and slightly contemptuous in her tone. She rolled her eyes, shook her head as a humourless laugh came out of her mouth. “Why am I talking about him anyway? Totally irrelevant.”
That day in the quidditch pitch was the day where this moody kid had multiple mood changes in just a short amount of time. Was that flirty Slytherin aware of what he just said? Complementing someone else’s look will make them flustered, well, not everyone, but it definitely will give that exact effect to Aurora and possibly other unnecessary additional effects.
Beautiful. That was the word that dropped her IQ to 40. “M-me? HA!” She grinned like an idiot, basically showcased her missing tooth to everyone on the pitch, occasionally snorted and looked around the sky, searching for something to distract Henry. Without thinking, she pointed out her finger to a random direction and shouted whatever first word that popped out from her brain. “LOOK! A FLYING GIANT SQUID BLOWING A KISS AT YOU!” It did not matter if whether he decided to look for the non existent flirty giant squid or not, Aurora will mount her bike and push the pedals like her life depends on it and greet her fellow Ravenclaw in the process with a rather too loud scream, "HI SAMANTHA!". But with evasion that low, she was not going that fast. (eva roll d20 + 7 = 9)

Jake smiled as Kazuo greeted him with 'Ohayo', the Japanese word for Good morning. Before meeting Kazuo, Jake hadn't known any Japanese, but he had picked up a couple words from talking to the younger boy. Jake remembered 'Ohayo' because it sounded kind of like 'Oh hi'. Kazuo was always using words that Jake didn't know, but that meant he got to learn a lot of new words, even if they weren't words he was going to find in books very much, since it wasn't like he could read Japanese. He'd learned a lot of words at school that he'd never heard at home before. Japanese words from Kazuo, super smart words from George, and cool words from Jack Warren (not to mention many bad ones which he wouldn't ever be saying, including one that he hadn't known was a bad word until he'd said it in front of his Mum and Dad).
The discomfort that Kazuo may have felt on his bike was lost on Jake as he biked over towards Ruka, who greeted him with praise for how good he was at biking.
"Really?" Jake asked. He was good at it? He'd never thought of it that way before, but any praise from the older boy was always cherished by Jake. He supposed he WAS pretty good at it. He wouldn't be riding if he wasn't, because then that would bring on the chance of falling. "Thank you," he said politely, looking down at Ruka's broken bike.
As Ruka condemned his bike as a Devil's steed, Jake put a hand over his mouth to stifle a giggle, but when the Gryffindor asked if there was some kind of spell to it, Jake squinted. He hadn't known that he was riding any better than anybody else. If there was a spell to it he probably wouldn't be. He didn't know how he'd made it look easy. It just...had been. After enough practice the day had just come when it had turned into second nature, and Jake didn't even know really when it had. But as Ruka pleaded with Jake to show him how to make the thing listen, he finally realized what was going on. (Perhaps he might have known sooner by the state of Ruka's jeans, but it wasn't the first, second, or third time that he'd seen Ruka in such a state, and he had just come to learn that such things didn't seem to upset Ruka much and had eventually grown used to seeing the other boy in various states of disshelvement).
"You don't know how?" Jake asked in surprise. There wasn't judgment behind it, just surprise. Mostly because he had been still on training wheels when most everybody his age on his block had been zooming around. He was so used to being last at everything that it didn't even occur to him at first that somebody else might have taken longer.
But then he remembered that Ruka hadn't done a lot of the things that he had, like when he'd found out that Ruka had never even been to the zoo before. His life had been real different from Jake's life. Maybe he'd never had anybody to teach him how to ride.
There was one advantage though, to always being last at things. You could still remember being taught them.
"I can teach you!" Jake said breathlessly. He swung off of his own bike, and then used the toe of his foot to bring down the kickstand to prop it up. He didn't know where the burst of confidence had come from - maybe it was because it wasn't very often that Jake got the opportunity to teach somebody else.
"When my mum taught me, she walked next to me so that way she could hold me up, and I didn't fall. She didn't let go 'til I was moving. It's kinda weird but the bikes stay up better when you're going faster." He didn't really get why that was, but it was something he had learned over his expert couple years of bike riding. He put a hand to his chin. Hm...where to start....
It was then that he heard the shouts from Ruka's brother Jack.
"Oh yeah, the ones with training wheels won't fall. They um...balance better," he explained. "You can use those if you want to. I saw some over there." he pointed. He was a little worried for a moment that it might make Ruka get bullied. In the muggle world, such a thing meant you were still a little kid. But then again, how could anybody make fun of somebody as cool as Ruka? That didn't even seem possible. Jake still had a lot to learn about other children, but one thing he did know was that when you were cool you could do just about anything you wanted.
"If yours has a kickstand like this," Jake began, unable to tell because Ruka's bike was still toppled, "then you can push it down like this," he explained, raising his up, and pushing it down again with his foot. "That'll make it stay up too, but ya can't actually move it. You CAN sit on it though."
First step was finding out whether Ruka wanted to learn with training wheels or without. He looked up to see what he would choose to do, but at a glimpse of the other boy's messy red hair Jake remembered that he had forgotten the REAL first step, even though it had been drilled into his head before all else like a mantra.
"O-oh, the first lesson though is you should always wear a helmet. I think I saw one with fire over there...!" he told him. Even though Jake had been afraid of fire since his first year, Ruka had always liked it, and it would match his bike.

Being a half-blood, Starlee was very well akin to both the muggle world and to the magical world. Her father would teach her much about magical plants and potions, and her mother and squib brother would do mundane muggle tasks with her. These varied from driving to the grocery store, cleaning dishes, or even just the basics of electricity. One of these mundane muggle things also happened to be learning how to ride a bike.
It was almost like a rite of passage for many young muggle children. Once you could ride a bike, you could be let loose to terrorize explore the world. And once Starlee finally did learn at age five, oh explore she did. It wasn't, of course, without the extreme supervision of her older brother. He was quite a bit older than her, a full seven years, putting him in Secondary School, aka that much better and smarter than his five year old sister. Of course, he wasn't wrong, oh she was certainly young and foolhardy, as many kids that young are, crashing into trees, falling over and giggling non-stop, but her brother intended to watch her like a hawk.
She thought over these fond memories when she saw the posting for another school event where they were to teach students how to ride a bike for some sort of holiday; International Bike-To-Work day it seemed. While Starlee hadn't heard of this particular holiday before, she was very excited at the prospect. She hadn't rode her bike since she had left for Hogwarts last fall. It was way too cold over winter break, and she spent time with Cash over Easter break, so her bike lay dormant in the garage of their flat. Of course, her sister might be riding it now, but she tried to push that thought away. She couldn't bear it if her mischievous little sister destroyed her bike.
The day finally came, and after a long day of lessons, it was time to let off steam by riding a bike all around the quidditch pitch. It was almost summer, so the weather was a bit warmer, but it was still cloudy, so she stuck to her typical black leggings with a black and white striped top. Plus, the pitch wasn't entirely covered in sidewalk like she was typically used to, so scraping up a knee if she fell wouldn't totally ruin her clothes. She didn't think she would fall on her own accord, rather, that someone new to riding would certainly crash into her, causing her to fall.
Upon entering the pitch, she saw a few groups had formed, some learning to ride, others clearly racing on a small track with numerous obstacles and ramps that the prefect had set up. She went over to grab herself a bike, one in a baby blue color with what looked like wave decals along the sides, and plopped herself promptly atop it. It felt natural, and she began to simply ride along the stands on the sides of the pitch, slowly peddling faster and faster, until she was lost to the motions and could feel the wind breeze right on through her long, straight, blonde hair.
It was soothing, transporting her almost back to her home, where things were easier. She stopped, finally taking note of people that had come. A few faces stuck out to her, specifically Henry, who she now considered a close friend. He was chatting with Aurora, another Frog Choir member, as well as their seeker for the quidditch scrimmage she joined in on. She watched as the girl pointed at something and sped off, quite the curious interaction.
She laughed a bit, thinking about all the good that had come from Hogwarts. Learning magic, making new friends, exploring, all of it had been so much fun and in the end, totally worth it. Smiling, she began peddling again, this time making her way over to the small obstacle course, as no one was running through it at the moment. She whizzed around the poles, up and around the small bumps, and onto the ramp.
Now this was something she wasn't expecting to be there, as well as something she hadn't done before. It wasn't too tall, but she was normally not one for bike tricks and tended to keep both the wheels firmly on the ground. She tried it anyway, feeling a bit unsecure as she shot off, but she held tight to the bars and landed quickly back down on the ground, the seat of the bike pressing hard into her bum. "Ouch..." she grumbled, and continued on her joyride of simply riding around the edge of the pitch. Enough of that ramp nonsense.
She came to a point where she was not only satisfied, but exhausted as well, and so she took her bike back to the pile, and set it back up for someone else to use if they came later. This was just what she had needed today, a quiet and relaxing bike ride out in the sun. She thanked the Prefect, who handed her two chocolate frogs. "Thanks. This was really great." she said calmly, a relaxed smile on her face. A perfect way to end the day.

Henry noticed Aurora cut off her sentence and knew what her question was going to be. Same as his. It was going to be about his future step mother, Henry restrained himself from asking about her step father and he was glad that she did the same. Perhaps Henry will tell her about his own, someday just not in a overy public place like the quidditch pitch during a errand.
"let's see, were both intelligent and have brown hair. Were both loyal and mischievous, we both tried to prank the other a few moments ago. See we have loads in common Aurora," Henry replied before giving a laugh as he noticed that he listed out the obvious about both of them but it was better than anything at least.
Henry knew he shouldn't have mentioned they could pull a prank on Aurora's step father since she seem to fluster almost and immediately he felt bad. The young teen saw it was his fault, if he didn't say the wrong words or did the wrong things than maybe this interaction could have been better. But Henry had a problem, he only saw his own faults and failures so it was her generally easy for him to be a pessimistic even if he wanted to be a optimistic which he did... it was just hard for her to do so.
"yeah has irrelevant, forget him. Maybe instead we could prank someone else together?" Henry spoke trying to look for ways to distract the ravenclaw and he thought pranking someone else might be good.
The conversation changed and Henry set his bike up, nodding toward her as he was ready to learn how to ride. However he just noticed that perhaps he shouldn't have complimented her and said she was beautiful even if he did want to make her feel better.
"I'm sorry if I said something wrong Aurora," Henry spoke when he heard her short reply but then was taken back when she shouted to look in a certain direction about a flying giant squid who was blowing a kiss.
Henry was smarter to look so he watched the girl hope on her bicycle and ride off, watching how she did it so he could quickly teach himself. The young teen felt even worse now and wanted to fix his mistakes as he mounted his bike and begun to do what he saw Aurora did.
He started to peddle, falling to one side then then other from his unstable balance before getting better at the technique and riding a bike.
Henry couldn't believe it he was actually doing it but rather slowly so he looked up at Aurora and tried to peddle faster, his bike leaned a bit but it was worth it as he tried to catch up to the ravenclaw girl.
The second year was actually gaining speed and catching up to Aurora, only thing was he was still learning how to ride.
Peddling became easier and his bike leaned less but now his handle bars jerks a bit as he was determining how to stop himself. The young teen soon was by Aurora's side as he quickly spoke" I'm sorry if I said or did anything to you Aurora, I wanted to make things awkward or offend you. Can we just forget what happened," however the young teen was going ahead of her still rather fast and with his anxiety, Henry was started to panic as he shouted to Aurora in a soft rather high voice, " how do I stop! There's suppose to be brakes on here from what I read by where!"

With a great amount of satisfaction Ileen watched Shimada fall over. It didn’t look like a hurtful fall except for his pride and dignity which was exactly what she had aimed for. The smirk on her face deepened and as he glared at her, knowing that she had caused this misery, she gave him her first-class innocent angel smile. Happily with her action she watched him pushing his bike instead of riding it. Did he already give up?
Before she could focus more on mocking Shimada, Jack Burnett interfered and replied to her question and gave her another point with which she could tease Kazuo further.... maybe. Looking back at the boy, she tilted her head and frowned. “No, I have no idea. What does it mean?” They had met in the dungeons and shared a journey there together. She respected that boy and suddenly she feared to lose his respect due to her actions, so she had the urge to explain herself. “Uhm, you know - we are not best friends. Shimada and me, I mean.” To her annoyance she slightly blushed and Liv who felt her insecurity jumped on her lap and hissed at the Slytherin boy. Ileen patted her head to calm her down and made a vague gesture, trying to disguise her struggle. “We have some sort of ongoing competition, you know?”
At this moment the subject of the conversation arrived. Of course, he didn’t waste another minute to blame and insult Ileen, causing another giggle on her side. “I think you were in trouble, no matter if I did interfere or not”, she disagreed with Jack’s comment about Kazuo’s biking skill and made her way back to standing. “But okay, I gladly take credit for that. You would make a good comedian as well, Shimada. And as you know, I save my special charm only for you.” Liv was not particularly happy to be set back on the ground and complained with a sharp meow.
With a sigh, she picked the cat up, placed her on her shoulders, but refused to leave the small group.
While he was asking the other boy for advice - something that was clearly necessary, a plan formed in her head. She patiently waited until Jack finished his explanation until she decided to respond to Shimada’s implied insult. “I am here to help poor people who got injured and support my friend with her first errand. That’s called loyalty. Heard of it?” She arched an eyebrow and dusted her pants off. “And I am here to learn. Do you mind if I join you?” The question was meant for Jack and with a warm smile, she picked Liv up from her shoulder and offered her to Jack. The cat would hiss again, outraged how ileen could give her away so easily and clawed painfully at her arm.
If the boy would accept her implied request and take Liv, Ileen would turn around to get a bike. If he refused, she would put her back on the ground and go for a bike anyway.
Hiding her smirk, she would just take a random bike and push it back to the boys. Kazuo didn’t know she knew how to ride a bike. It was rather uncommon for a pureblood. And she surely wouldn’t tell him.

Like Riding a What Now?
21st May 2021
@Dealla Prince
After having made a few tours of the field, you start to get a little bored. So you decide to have a little fun. As you set off for another round of the field and Dealla gives you a slightly admiring glance, you lift the front wheel of the bike and continue riding like nothing has happened. Then you brake a little to make a U-turn, still on your rear wheel.
All these acrobatics take you back to when you were riding a bike with Eden, Chiara and the others. What are you having fun all together. Before skidding on wet grass, you put your front wheel down and ride more smoothly. You remember with a smile all the races and competitions you did. You already knew that you would leave, but you acted like you didn't know.*I must honor my friends. Eden, Chiara, Linn and May. I have to do something spectacular!*You bring the bike to a complete stop, lean it against the ring post again, and grab a hair tie from your little straw bag. Very quickly, your African braid is done. Your hair is tied up, you're calm about it.
You start by slaloming between cyclists, more and more numerous on the ground. It's going to be a little challenge, it's good, you love challenges! Arriving at the end of the field, you turn around and you jump in a straight line.
- Get off the track please!
You scream. And you lift your front wheel, like earlier, before rebounding to make a U-turn, then you set off again, finishing with a controlled skid. Your sequence is perfect. Concentrating on having disturbed, you say:
- Sorry for this little inconvenience.
A little later, when you start to get really bored, you go back to Dealla and put your bike down. It's not that you're fed up, but it reminds you of too many memories that make you regret the Before. And you promised yourself not to regret the Before. You're at Hogwarts, you don't have to regret the Before. It's that simple. You approach Dealla and you say to her:
- Hi, thank you again for what you did, it's really awesome! Everyone is having fun! But I think I'll go.
After thanking her for the two chocolate frogs she is giving you, you go up to the stands. Not very high because for once, it's on the ground that the interesting things are happening. You take out your sketchbook and a pencil. Then you draw sketches of what is happening on the ground, students from all over the world riding bikes, discussing ...
When you think about it, you really had a lot of fun. When you get back to the castle, you will have to write a letter to Eden and Chiara. And your parents too. This little hour went really well and in addition, you win two chocolate frogs! If it's not great for the start of the day?

As Kazuo approached Jack and Ileen he fixed his expression into one of passive disinterest, refusing to show any more of his irritation than he already had. He arched a brow at Jack's apologetic smile and merely shrugged in response. He wasn’t upset with Jack; he hadn’t told the other boy about his conflict with Ileen. In fact, he hadn’t really given that much thought to it. Ileen had been an irritation, a thorn in his side when she was around. Easily ignored most of the time. Except apparently today.
"I'm not five, Burnett." He replied to the suggestion of training wheels. "Some simple suggestions should be sufficient to help me understand this task." Like the suggestion of mounting the bike while holding the breaks. That made sense. Had Dee mentioned that in her explanation?
He glanced down at the handle bars, giving the break levers an experimental squeeze. He glanced over at Ruka and Jake to see how they were doing, a bit relieved to see Jake happily explaining things to Ruka. Then shifted his gaze back to Ileen as she taunted him. "So you saw someone on a bike, having trouble, and you thought 'I should make things worse'?"He replied in a tone that was pure mockery. "And you have the arrogance to claim that you are here to help with injuries. Seems to me you're more interested in causing them."
He shifted his gaze to Dealla briefly, considering Ileen's words about loyalty. "It seems to me you're only loyal to yourself, Knight." The observation was made with a sneer then Kazuo turned away from her, swinging a leg over the bike and carefully seating himself once again. This time he held the breaks as he placed one foot on a pedal. As Ileen ran off to get a bike, Kazuo's gaze returned to Jack. "Is that what it means to be Slytherin? Pretending your pettiness is actually justified?”
With that, he continued to grip the brakes while lifting his second foot. With both feet on the pedals, he stood, attempting to balance on the bike while stationary. It wobbled a bit at first but eventually he managed to find a center of gravity between himself and the bike, keeping it standing. If he could manage balance like this how much harder could it be while moving? It should be easier, shouldn’t it? He released the brakes and pushed forward on the pedals, holding the handles straight this time as the bike began to move. He still wobbled but managed to do a small circle around where Jack was standing without falling over. “Not so bad…” He murmured.
