Fallen Once Again
Aldor shook his head, slowly sitting back up from the bed in which he was placed, he didn't remember much until one of the nurses aproached him and told him what just happened, somehow he wasn't that surprised.
''Thank you-''
The fact was that he had rolled down a couple sets of stairs while in a hurry, he recalls the event perfectly now, he was trying to get to The Great Hall, expecting to find his friends for dinner, but he had a little problem with his robes, he tripped with them and well, now he was here, after hitting his head. What an amazing luck he had, for once he was having a good day, so much that he felt like searching for his friends, and this happened?
At least he was fine, a bit confused, yes, but healthy at best. He was told that his friends would be informed about what happened, but somehow he didn't wanted it to happen, he knew that most of them wouldn't judge him for the ocurred, but still, he didn't want anyone to see him in this state, as long as that didn't happen, he would most likely feel alright.
He looked around the place, there were only a few other students most of them seemed to be asleep, it was probably late, all that the boy hoped at this point, was that no one actually came to visit him while he was unconcious.
He felt pathetic, such a simple thing caused this and somehow this made him feel even worst about the whole situation, it was rather lonely, but well, there wasn't much that he could do at this point, only wait.

The hospital wing could have been considered Henry's least favorite place, it was nothing against the place or the nurse really. It was just a common fear the young teen had of hospital's and doctors really but he still somehow found it within himself to visit the hospital wing when his friends were there.
Recently the young teen heard one of his close friend's; Aldor Humbleglow was in the hospital wing for falling down the stairs. At least the hufflepuff wasn't there because he was knocked unconscious in a duel or lit on fire but falling down the stairs could have led to a major injury as well, Henry had never fell down stairs before but he fallen off of trees a couple of times to know how a broken or sprained wrist or ankle felt. Although even in those times the young teen tried to avoid the place....
The young teen was planning on skipping dinner to instead go to the library or dueling room for some pratice for next year so he was already close by the hospital wing. Except Henry would have gone back to his dormitory and grabbed his last two chocolate frog, making a mental note to buy more in hogsmeade and a bag of jelly slugs for Aldor before heading back to the third floor.
When the young teen would enter the place, instantly he felt his anxiety increase but he hid it from outsiders by appearing like a emotionless statue. It wouldn't be long till Henry would stop his close friend, alone.
Henry would still look emotionless except a small smile as he approached Aldor and handed him the three sweets as he spoke" Hey Mate," eyeing his friend for a moment for a any bruises or broken bones before continuing" how are you feeling?"
The young teen would pull up a chair and sit down besides his friend's bed as he listened to him but also keeping a eye out for anyone else who would come by as he spoke" I thought you would like some sweets since were missing dinner."

@Aldor Humbleglow, @Henry KnightOh how deeply Adlai loathed broom lessons as they always lead to her ending up moping her way to the hospital wing with a twisted stomach and eventually having to take some of that awful tasting medicine to experience any form of relief from the illness.
Normally the only other people inside the hospital wing were duelists or unlucky qudditch players, who she would often pay no mind too since she knew very few of them. However, this time around she recognized a familiar face. "Humbleglow?" the hijabi asked once the doored had closed fully behind her, a hand resting on her stomach.
How could she forget the young boy with the peculiar name whom she met beside the lake only a few short days about. She hoped that this time she wouldn't spook him, especially since he didn't look like he was doing very well. She then noticed that he seemed to have a friend with him. "Oh, hello." she said.
Oddly this person also had a familiar face. Where she might have seen this other person before, she had no clue. Perhaps in the Great Hall during meal time? If they were in house Hufflepuff as well she'd certainly be embarrassed since she's been putting in an effort to remember her housemates names, well as many as she could within reason.

Aldor turned to Henry, giving him a soft smile, for some reason he didn't feel as uncomfortable about having Henry visiting him, the boy trusted in Henry, a lot. When the Slytherin gave him the sweets he thanked him, but he didn't take his eyes away from his friend.
''T-Thanks, I am alright, I was told that I can go in a few hours, I just need to get a checkup again-''
He listened to Henry again, he was good at pretending, so much that Aldor couldn't notice that his friend was extremly uncomfortable, if Aldor found out, he would probably appreciate that he was doing an extreme effort to make the atmosphere not feel as grimm as it usually did.
''Thanks for stopping by Henry, I was afraid I would have to stay in bed counting- Miss Adlai? ''
Before he finished his phrase he noticed the girl he met at the lake, she was gentle, and seemed to be smiley most of the time, but today it seemed like she was struggling just like him. Aldor would introduce the two students to each other, he was a little nervous this time, after all, he met Adlai just recently, and he wasn't completely sure about the fact that she would be comfortable talking to others.
''Miss Adlai, this is Henry Knight, we are research partners. Henry, she is Adlai Rod, I met her at the lake a while ago, she's nice.''
Aldor held the necklace he had around his neck and fidgeted with it, trying to calm himself a little, everything was going to be fine, or at least he thought it would, after all, it wasn't like he had any clue on how to make this conversation flow without making everything extremely awkward.

Henry would moved his chair closer to Aldor's side as he listened to his words with a smile and nod, the rest of his emotions are hidden much like a stature. The young teen would eye his friend over, checking if he had a concussion or any broken bones which turns out it was the latter of both.
"You can always count on me Al, I thought about bringing Loki but next time I will," Henry replied thinking of things to say or do as he kept his eyes on the hufflepuff. Thoughts swirled around his brain which only battled with his anxiety, not like any of it was visible for the few moments he stayed silent until he would smile and speak.
"I can stay for the rest of the the evening, maybe we could play a game? Like we say different dragon species and a fact to go with it or something else," Henry replied with a smile and knew it wasn't the best idea. He would hear his friend speak and nod before another voice came, expecting it to be Rose but it wasn't. It was a girl through, one that was recognizable by a face in the corridors.
Henry would remain emotionless, giving the girl a single smile and small wave when he heard Aldor introduction.
"Pleasure to meet you Adlai. Like Aldor said I'm Henry, his research partner and close friend," Henry spoke leaving out his house, his position on the dueling team, and year not seeing the importance of them but figuring he should at say something about them. Even if it was to tell the girl he wasn't like most Slytherin's or that he wasn't rude or a blood purist.
"I'm a second year duelist in slytherin but I'm not like other Slytherin's. I'm not a blood purist or rude, uh are you a first year then?" Henry replied with a smile toward the girl hiding all other emotions. The young teen didn't wear anything that represented his house, just a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt from his brother. On his right wrist however could be seen four friendship bracelets but none included the color green.

@Aldor Humbleglow, @Henry Knight"Nice to meet you Henry, second duelist for Slytherin. Like Mr. Humbleglow said I'm Adlai and well I'm just in house Hufflepuff." She said before making her way to the empty hospital bed beside Aldor and sitting down. "I'm not quite sure what a blood purist is so I highly doubt it would bother me if you were one."
"I'm a second year" she said answering his question. Though she wondered if she still had the same baby face as she did last year that would have caused Henry to think she was possibly a first year? She was thirteen now so certainly not, right? Perhaps she looked as though she were a third year? She wouldn't know since everyone looked different in another's eyes.
"If you don't mind me asking, how come you're here Aldor?" Indeed she was concerned for the boy, he had been so polite to her when they had first met and see him in a seemingly uncomfortable position made her heart ache. She hoped it was nothing too serious like the flue or chickenpox, though if he had chickenpox some red bums would certainly already be appearing on his skin for her to see.

Aldor raised his hand slowly, showing a few bandages wrapping around it, without mentioning the fact that he had a few small bruises on his face.

He looked at both of his friends, he seemed extremely embarassed about his wounds, it wasn't like they happened because he was making proud his house and took a hit for the qidditch team, or because he did his best at a duel, nope, he simply fell, in the most pathetic way that could ever happen to anyone.
''I am alright though, it doesn't hurt that much-''
The boy took a deep breath, trying his best not to seem nervous about his wounds, it wasn't logical to be embarassed about something like that, it was an accident, and that is as far as that went, still, it was probably the first major wound he had suffered in Hogwarts.
''What about you miss Adlai, are you alright?-''
He seemed to be honestly concerned for her, which was strange, considering how reserved and quiet Aldor was, but he wasn't a bad person at all, he was simply a little strange, and really shy. But at least he seemed to care for the ones who he called friends, of course, Henry knew this already, but at least now Adlai could see this as well.

Henry nodded to her reply and the thirteen found it odd how formal she was with Aldor.
Why is she saying mr? This is odd... is there something going on that I don't know? Is she his crush or something? Is that a code word or something? Maybe I should leave? Maybe they want me to leave? Uh...
Henry kept his emotions hidden as he spoke" a blood purist is someone how judges another based on their blood, they treat someone differently if their a pureblood or muggleborn. I'm not a blood purist, one of my closest friends is muggleborn and she's brilliant, " giving the girl a small smile before turning back to Aldor.
The girl asked why he was there and Henry listened to his answer. Falling down a flight of stairs, he didn't laugh and show no emotions as he spoke" common injury, most first and second years end up here from that. I injured myself and even broken my wrist a few times from falling off of trees, although I only came here one time. The others I just used the bandaging charm, remind me to teach you it sometime Al," he would give his hufflepuff friend a smile figuring that he could learn it even if it was a third year spell.
The thirteen year old eyed Adlai when Aldor asked her why she was here which was when the boy asked his question, " why are you mates addressing each other formally?"

The idea of people being scorned by others purely by their family background was mind-boggling to her. "Thank you for explaining it to me though, I'm sure I may need that information later down the road."
"Why are you miss Adlai, are you alright?-" Aldor had asked which made Adlai wince. "I get pretty bad motion sickness so brooms aren't exactly my thing." she explained. "So, as you might be able to gage, brooms class is just so much fun for me." she prolonged the 'O' in so, as she hunched over herself a bit.
"Yeah, I've almost fallen down the stairs a few times myself and technically did once in the owlery." she commented, "I hope you do feel better soon Aldor, being all banged up like that I can only imagine is no fun at all." Having had a few tumbles herself in the past she could somewhat relate to what Aldor may be feeling, then again those tumbles didn't happen at Hogwarts.
"Formal? Oh no, I just like saying his last name. I think it's neat." And that was the truth, who wouldn't like a surname like 'Humbleglow,' it was breathe of fresh air from all of the smiths and browns and jones she had been hearing almost her whole life. "Don't you think so too, Henry?"

He smiled at Adlai, in reality, he wasn't feeling as bad as he first did, having good wishes coming from his friends brought him to the point of feeling comfortable, and forgetting he was here bcause of his own recklessness. Aldor's face went red as Henry asked about the way they spoke to each other.
''Well- I treat everyone like that, well- it is mostly because I just like being polite. But I wouldn't call you mister, 'Mister Henry' doesn't sound as good as just calling you Henry.''
He smiled at both of them, he sort of missed these casual talks, everything always went wrong when he focused on making thinks work out properly, and he was still feeling a little sad about how messy the Blossom Ball was for him, but at the very least, he was happy about being in the bed he was currently at, after all, he was probably not going to talk to anyone for weeks if he wasn't forced to stay in bed.
It was strange, but for once, he did feel like a lucky wizard, he was thankful about being with the people he cared about.
