~ Playing as Seeker for Team Hollythorn ~
When she caught sight of the snitch, Gia's eyes widened in shock and surprise before she started flying towards it, knowing that the other team's seeker was most likely right behind her. Just then, however, a sudden feeling of panic hit her. What if there was she didn't catch it in time? What if the other seeker got close to it first and she wasn't fast enough to stop her from doing so?

Stalling in midair, the Gryffindor lost her chance. Once she had gotten herself to start flying again, the snitch was gone from sight. Her head bent ever so slightly, she tried to avoid the gazes of the other players around her. Hearing Ana's voice from down below her, Gia called back, "I - I know, I'm sorry, I was just... I know." She knew that the older girl meant well, but the twelve year old was competitive, so freezing up right at the most crucial part of the game struck her hard.

When Henry flew towards her, giving the older Gryffindor girl a wary look, Gia tried to give him a smile and succeeded - well, sort of. It wasn't anything like her normal grin, but it was close enough. Hearing his encouraging words, the first year's smile grew brighter and more sincere. "Thanks, Henry, I'll try to remember to do that." Noticing the annoyed look he gave Anastasia after, Gia took a quick detour in her circles around the playing field and followed him a short distance. When she got near enough to talk quietly, the young girl told her friend, "It's okay, she was trying to help. Ana's not really that bad, you know." Of course, she had no clue about the fight between Anastasia and Scarlett Aden or why the Slytherin was so suspicious about the older girl, but her tone was sincere.

Feeling slightly more cheered up, Gia gave Ana another wave to signal that she was perfectly fine again and turned all her efforts to seeking for the snitch once more. "Thanks," she called down. Hearing sudden shouting that included her name, the first year's gaze locked on another one of her team members, Violet Carrington. While she would usually get a bit more worked up, Gia instead simply nodded. So much yelling and comments on her horrible stall in midair... if they wanted her to actually spot the snitch again, why did they continue distracting her?!

Pericles and Nicholas both scolded Violet and cheered her on even more, which, like she'd already thought, was quite distracting, but at the same time it did help just a tiny bit. Giving Violet the tiniest of smug grins - who knew if she even saw it? - Gia gave Peri a quick nod. "Yeah, I'm good now," she reassured him quickly. "And don't worry, I'll do better... I'm ready."

Flying higher up yet again, Gia tried to let her gaze scan the whole entire pitch, including all the small nooks and other places where the snitch could be hiding. C'mon, she thought to herself. Don't freeze up if you spot it this time.

When Henry arrived, James watched him approach. And listened to what the green told him. The first year didn't quite understand the meaning of the sentence and tried to understand it as best he could. Then, seeing the Slytherin leave immediately, he abandoned his reasoning and went to replace himself in the center of the three rings. The blond watched the game for a few minutes and then, moving to goal level, he thought about the feeling of flying on a broomstick. It was nice, it felt light and you no longer thought about the problems you might have and the friction of the wind on the cheeks and the clothing was like ... comforting. There was also the fact that when you fly on a broomstick, you go up in the sky and therefore, from the Quidditch stadium, you could see Hogwarts Castle."+ 10 points for Pitch Please"
- Oh yeah! 10 points for us!! I hope we will win, that would be cool.
It was from this goal that James continued to follow the game he had left for a time of reflection. He looked at the players who were moving at the other end of the field, towards the opposing goals and who were approaching, sometimes a few meters away.

As Pitch Please racked up ten, twenty points with the Quaffle, a Hollythorn seemed uninterested in contesting them, instead sending their Chasers off to bigger and better things-- like cheating. “Oi, Knight! Foul!” Cecily yelled over the sounds of her fellow captain screaming her head off from high above. “Take a lap!” Although she was obliged to call out the fouls she saw, sending the cheaters on penalty laps around the pitch, Cecily was secretly excited to see the first blatch of the scrimmage. The beating and bloodshed was exciting, of course, but once the blatches began, the match really started to get interesting.

All six Chasers seemed preoccupied with everything except chasing the Quaffle. The leather ball, however, was caught by an unexpected pair of hands as Aurora, Pitch Please’s Seeker, soared towards the hoops with the ball securely in her hands. Hollythorn wasn’t going to give up the points that easily, though-- Rose hovered in front of the hoops, poised to keep the Quaffle out at all costs. Hollythorn’s Keeper went two-for-three as Aurora bombarded her with well-placed shots. Ten points to Pitch Please!

Gone were the tame bludgers of a game just picking speed-- the scrimmage was starting to get very interesting. Kage, not wasting a moment, barely gave Opeila and Starlee a moment to recover from their previous attacks before winding up to send a bludger their way. Perhaps she didn’t give herself time to properly aim, or just hit the bludger a little off center, but the broom-sharing pair had no trouble swerving out of the way with plenty of room to spare. They retaliated with an attack of their own, Starlee sending a bludger backhanded right back at Kage, who was not quite as lucky. The iron ball collided solidly with the young girl, who had not a chance of staying on her broom. However, Violet had been on the lookout for a falling teammate, and, positioning herself to catch the falling girl, saved Kage from a trip to the hospital wing-- for now. Bridget, taking advantage of the pair’s instability as they became comfortable sharing a broom, ruthlessly targeted Violet and Kage with a bludger of her own. The pair swerved, attempting to remove themselves from the bludger’s path, but Bridget’s aim was true, and the ball struck her target, although with not quite enough force to knock the two from their shared broom.

Both Seekers seemed to have exhausted their stint of avoiding the Beaters’ eyes, finally becoming targets. Nicholas’ aim was unbeatable as he targeted Aurora, who simply couldn’t get out of the way in time. It seemed inevitable that the Seeker would lose her grip as the bludger collided with her with enough force to send her flying, but positive thoughts of chocolate seemed to be doing her good as she barely managed to cling on. Meanwhile, Gia, Hollythorn’s Seeker, was getting it even worse. Three Pitch Please players-- Emma, Everly, and Bridget-- bore down on the young Gryffindor, boxing her in in a rather illegal move known as Parkin’s Pincer. With her target struggling to escape, Bridget seized the opportunity to check the poor girl right off her broom. Having already caught Kage on the back of her broom, Violet could do nothing but watch as the young Seeker plummeted to the ground. The first casualty of the match.

“Foul!” Cecily shouted. “Collins, take a lap!” She looked down to where the knocked out Seeker was being carried off the pitch. Anastasia would be replacing her shortly, setting Hollythorn back to square one in their snitch search.

Moments before Gia’s disastrous fall to the earth below, Pericles abandoned his Quaffle duties to assist Gia with her quest for the snitch. Spinning her around and around, Pericles released the younger girl at what he estimated to be just the right moment to send her flying towards the snitch, but the Ravenclaw’s estimates were just a bit off. Gia flew away from the boy with added force, but her goal of the snitch was nowhere near.

Violet didn't very much appreciate people that cheated in a game, and the great ammount of fouls that were being preformed by both teams were scaring her. She nodded as Pericles asked her to calm down and rolled her eyes when Gia smirked at her, not wanting to start a fight with her own team, she calmly looked for anyone that she would need to save.

Her eyes were focsed on Ranvier, who seemed to leave her snitch duties and perform a Quaffle Grab. The game was becoming more and more confusing, but Pitch Please was still, unfortunately, in the lead. She looked at Moon reassuringly when Ranvier tried to send the quaffle through the hoops, only sucessfully hitting one. She gave he Gryffindor Scrimmage Keeper a thumbsup before looking at any falling players again.

Starlee and Opeila were both on the same broom, and Violet just barely looked at them both when they sent a bludger at Kage, and it hit sucessfully. Adrelnaline going up her spine, Violet raced to catch Kage. "You okay?" she asked the girl, while glaring at Starlee. "I thought you were DEAD!" shee screamed at the blonde snake. And I would have hoped that you'd stay that way. Really, Violet was enjoying herself. That was just her personality, she was probably going to apologize to Starlee, someday.

Looking around at the game while she thought of what the hell she was going to do with Kage, she saw Gia being thrown off her broom by Everly Chalrton, Emma, and Bridget Collins. Her heart beating fast, the only thing she could do was watch as Adelard fell from her broom onto the ground. She looked over at their Captain, Leader, however he would be called in a mock Quiddich game, Pericles Dralt, with terror in her eyes. Hollythorn had their seeker down, the only thing they could do now was to enter Anastasia.

Now Everly couldn't say she had never cheated before.

Somewhat. She wasn't too proud of what was going on, but now they were kind of ahead of them? Sort of, she thought. Quietly observing what was going on, Everly spotted Aurora shooting towards the Quaffle. She mentally facepalmed; Aurora, what are you doing? It was kind of a smart move, since the other team didn't go for that red ball at all, even if Aurora missed her score the other two times. Hopefully she could do her job as Seeker better.

Kage shot another Bludger towards Opeila and Starlee, and luckily the duo of Slytherins managed to dodge it. In fact, Kage's aim was so off that Everly was sure that even she could have dodged it, though she wondered what was going on with Kage. Nicholas shot his own Bludger to Aurora, who clearly wasn't doing her job, and almost knocked her off. Everly winced visibly. "Hang in there, Aurora!"

Opeila and Starlee took their shot, the Bludger shooting back towards Kage. Luckily they managed to hit, knocking Kage off of her broom. Violet was there to catch Kage though, but at a cost - and this was where Everly got to finally help somewhat - the three players closed in on Gia, and while Everly felt bad, it was a game, right? - and Violet was unable to catch their Seeker. Everly watched as Gia spiraled down, making a mental note to check on her later.

Pericles would try and shoot Gia towards the Snitch, but fortunately that would fail. Everly realized that since Gia was out, Anastasia, their second-string Seeker, would be playing now.

Welp.

Pitch Please! (Team 1) and Hollythorn (Team 2)
After the Alley Oop that turned out to be And I Oop, the cheating Knight made some quick remarks about Aurora’s brilliant threat that according to him it ‘needs some works done’. “THE ONLY THING THAT NEEDS MORE OOMPH IS YOUR CHEATING SKILL! DOUBLE BONKS FOR YOU!” As if it wasn’t enough, someone with a short bob dark brown hair shouted at her, or should I say, mocked her at her failure. Of course it boiled the Ravenclaw’s blood even more than before. If she recalled correctly, the bob hair Slytherin was not doing a good job herself either. “OH SHUT IT YOU DORA THE EXPLORER!” Was she Dora’s or Edna mode’s twin? Perhaps both? Carrington probably did not feel familiar with either of those names. What a disgrace to muggle society.

As discussed with Collins, she let the grumpy Ravenclaw try something new: quaffle grab. Pretty exciting to abandon her sad and boring snitch grabbing (Honestly, please just blame her incompetence as a seeker) to actually doing a real action. She effortlessly swooped the quaffle and attempted to make some goals for Pitch Please. Out of three attempts, she did one of them, which was not terrible as someone who just draws and judges people silently all day. “SORRY, NOT REALLY A BIG FAN OF BASKETBA-“ And that was the perfect way to shut Aurora up, according to McCowan.

Tried to process what just happened, it almost felt like getting hit by a large bull even though she swore there was no red colour that glued to her skin. Then she realised it was a bludger. The vision was getting blurry, she fought her brain’s urge to turn on the ‘imma pass out’ switch, hands gripped to the broom as tight as she possibly could. Aurora couldn’t really hear anything for a couple of seconds after the nasty hit. And this was the first time nobody heard her nonsense yelling in the game as she tried to calm herself a little. Did not even realise the opposite team lost their first string seeker and the Suzuki had to do a cute piggyback ride with Violet Beauregarde to the chocolate factory

Ana's team was definitely down in Quaffle points, although Rose managed to block a few attempts at scoring. As much as Ana might dislike Rose, she was a half-decent keeper. Oddly enough, the other team's seeker was the one who went after the Quaffle. She had spotted the Snitch, had she not? So what the bloody hell was she playing at?

Ana's attention shifted towards the more bloody bits of the game. One of Hollythorn's players was dismounted (Kage) but was caught and Ana breathed a sigh of relief. Too soon it seemed, since seconds later, Gia was falling and there was no one left to catch her. Ana winced slightly since as someone who had taken plenty of falls like that, she knew Gia wasn't about to be in a particularly comfortable position. There were plenty of players on both sides that Ana would have rather liked to seen knocked to the ground in such a manner, but Gia was most definitely not one of them. Pity...

Still, Ana would have more time to dwell on the matter once the game was won. She expertly launched herself into the air, joining the ongoing game with a rather spectacular entrance. While people who knew the Gryffindor well might have expected some words of encouragement or a cheer or something from her as she entered the game, Ana was quiet, already laser-focused on the task at hand. Or she would have been if she in fact knew what a laser was...

Long story short, I survived

It seemed Opeila was not quite so enamored with Henry's remarks, perhaps rightly so, since he did say he would simply let Opeila fall. However this thought didn't pass through Starlee's mind, and so she answered Opelia rather curtly, saying "Yea, alright, let's go then."

This round turned out to be the best for their team yet. Aurora managed to get them a goal, so now they were ahead by a whole 50 points! It seemed Kage was getting irritated being consistently attacked by Starlee, and she sent a bludger their way. It was an easy dodge for them, and Starlee began looking for an opportunity to retaliate.

It was then another bludger came hurtling by, and it seemed like third time was the charm, and Starlee whacked it again at Kage, this time knocking her clean off her broom. For a brief moment she wanted to call out to apologize, but she faltered as she watched Kage swiftly get picked up by the other team's chaser. Not just that, but the girl even yelled at her! Dead? HA! "Oh I'm alive and hitting, alright!!" she yelled back at her, flailing her bat around wildly, attempting to look threatening while she continuously smiled. She looked back down to Cash, who was still in the stands, and yelled "Oi! Cash! Didya see? I finally got one!" while beaming down at them.

She turned back to Opeila, trying to calm herself down from the adrenaline of actual success, and said, "We did it! We did it!" her childlike giddiness beginning to get the best of her. "Lets keep this up!" She had again completely forgotten about the two bludgers that had attempted to take the pair out and was again elated about playing in the match, her mood swings extremely prevelant.

Starlee then watched as her own team performed a foul of their own, and the Hollythorn seeker was knocked off her broom, with no one to save her. This meant that their second-string seeker would come out... someone who was an experienced quidditch player... hopefully, she wouldn't completely crush Pitch Please. At least they were ahead!

The game was a hot mess, or at least that was what it looked like to Opeila. Aurora went for the Quaffle and attempted to score three times- Rose caught two of them. Wait, why Aurora? Wasn't she... the seeker...? Opeila honestly could not remember, she couldn't really tell who was supposed to do what right now. Again she realized how little she knew about Quidditch in the end.

At least the Slytherin was more prepared now, enough to evade Kage's next bludger. God, those balls really scared her. While Opeila wasn't really doing anything else than flying at this point, Starlee behind her hit a bludger right back at the Gryffindor and successfully knocked her off her broom. Opeila gasped and winced a little, no matter if that was an opponent falling, she didn't want to see anyone die on this pitch. And there was Violet, her dormmate, catching the young girl with her broom. Thank goodness.

And then Opeila saw what the rest of her team was doing. Apparently two of them had taken the Hollythorn seeker into their midst and Bridget... knocked her off her broom, where she couldn't escape. Opeila couldn't help pressing one hand on her mouth as she watched the first year falling- like Gris fell back in that other game- and landing on the ground far down. "Oh no...", she murmured and leaned forward to see if Gia was still showing signs of life. Hopefully she was only knocked out...
Opeila couldn't even really feel bad about Bridget having to take a penalty lap.

Starlee behind her was rather excited, swinging her bat around and shouting at Cash. Only when Opeila could feel the breeze of the bat swinging past her head closely she stepped in. "St-Starlee, hey, please don't kill me just yet..."

Everything seemed to go to hell at once. Tunnel vision had clouded the beater's thoughts, his sole desire being to remove the opposing seeker from her broom. He backbeat the bludger toward her with that desire in mind, his intent murderous. He hit true, yet she refused to fall to the Earth, the girl remaining perched upon her wooden throne, her mere existence mocking him. Worse yet, whilst he had failed to remove an opposing player from the pitch, he found that his side lost two of their own. It seemed that, for once, their attempt to remove Kage from play had been successful. The girl falling, only to be saved by Violet at the last possible moment. The result was bad, but not disastrous.

What was disastrous was what happened to Gia. The seeker was blatched, a play that Pitch Please had no doubt stole from Hollythorn. The girl tumbled, a leaf in the wind, before her fall was brought to its sudden, violent conclusion.

Their upperclassman second-string seeker would take her place, but the rage that Nicholas felt was white-hot. Logically, he knew that it was a game, and he had spent the entirety of the game attempting to do the same to the opponents. Yet, he had not only failed, but they had succeeded. Hollythorn was losing not only in points, but in the number of players they had who weren't injured. How many humiliations would Nicholas have to face this year?

"You'll bloody well pay for that!" He yelled, his voice surprisingly angry.

McCowan was out for blood.
