Hide-and-Seek to Some PV | B. Silverton Closed

"When will we ever use this in real life?" Bloom asked a nearby peer, walking out of the Study Room. She had been studying with others for Transfiguration, a gruesome (and sometimes interesting) class that had an upcoming assessment. Waving goodbye to some of her peers, she made her way down the corridor, Transfiguration book in hand.

Bloom was proud of herself. She hadn't found a niche for studying for a very long time. She was slowly making her way into the study world. However late it may be.

"Jaaaaaaaaaaaax!"

"Where aaaaaaaaare youuuuu?"

Bloom jumped out of her mind when she heard someone call out a name. From the sounds of it, it seemed stressed. Was someone missing? Bloom felt the need to go and help. She followed the calling to find a familiar Slytherin. She looked distressed and called out once more for the name Bloom heard to be "Jax."

"Need any help?" she asked, feeling like it was the right thing to do. The girl seemed lost and it wasn't hard to help someone in need. Unless it was going to be a task that was way too much for her. But nevertheless, Bloom had asked and she felt that it was, for sure, the right thing to do.

OOC: Apologies on the delay! I've just moved and had endless packing (with now endless unpacking to do).

As Koko prowled the corridors, her search did not improve. Occasionally, an armour stand creaked, and her gaze snapped to it - but there was never anything of notice.

For all she knew, her cat could have been at the bottom of the lake or in the Gryffindor common room. Could he even enter? Any answer to that was debatable. Cats were creatures whose actions were quite difficult to predict, and even if Koko knew Jax well, her cat was incredibly curious. He could have tumbled anywhere.

She was tempted to reach for her wand when a voice jolted her out of the worries that were beginning to plague her.

"Oh- I..." Her voice trailed off. Did she need any help? It would certainly be useful, yes, but was it needed..?

"If it doesn't bother you, then please," she decided. "I've sort of lost my cat. He's small, a silver mackerel tabby, and likely to be playing with something bad for him. He is incredibly sweet and does not bite - but I completely understand if you're allergic to cats. Thank you so much for offering, though, and if you do decide to help me, I'll be so grateful."

She hoped she sounded somewhat eloquent and not rude. Still, Koko had never been the best speaker, and when worried, she tended to stumble over her words. She thought she did well enough, but... She didn't quite trust her own judgement.

She folded her hands in front of her and smiled worriedly. "My name's Koko, by the way."

The way the Slytherin girl had asked for her help made Bloom really feel like she was needed. She nodded and listened to the description of her cat. Typically, cats were not Bloom's favorite kind of pet. She was more or less a dog person. Though, if she had a pick in the magical realm, her favorite would most likely be the unicorn. Alas, she has never seen one in her life. Maybe one day she would.

A hand reached over to her, snapping Bloom back to reality. Bloom gave her hand to the girl who introduced herself as Koko. Bloom smiled, and introduced herself immediately after. "I'm Bloom," she said, and did a quick shake and let go.

"Let's find your Jax," she said, eyeing the room that she was in. They were in the corridor which had leads to many different areas. Perhaps it was going to take longer than she thought. Bloom then had an idea. Just like people, animals have a place they like to go to. Maybe her Jax was still around, but had a specific quirk...

"Koko, what does Jax like to do? Where does he like to go when he's bored?" she asked, wondering if she knew. Bloom was unsure if this was a newer pet or one that had been with her for a long time. One things for sure was she hoped she knew her pet well, or they would probably never find them.

After shaking Bloom's hand, Koko's fidgety hands returned to her robes, fingers tapping against her legs as she walked. "Thank you," Koko murmured to the other girl.

The corridors had always made the petite Koko feel tiny, and she imagined how her cat felt. If Koko felt like it was difficult to find her friends when this was her third year, she wondered how difficult it would be to find her cat...

The worries kept building up inside her mind, but she slowly began to focus. Okay, so he was gone. That was... fine. This was a game, a maze of sorts. Get to the centre of the maze and you get a prize, which would be the cat.

"Er... When he's bored, he usually wanders around. He loves armour stands, and he sometimes slips out into the grounds - not usually without me, though." Koko detailed Jax's hiding spots the best she could as her gaze roamed the corridor. "It's difficult to look for him because he blends in with the grey surroundings and is... about this big. Really small." She motioned with her hands to show her cat's size - not even shoulder-width long (not including his tail), and a little over a human head tall.

"He also avoids the sconces. It's like he's actually trying to hide." With that, Koko chuckled. She allowed her eyes to scan the area to her left before she sighed and just barely shook her head. He wouldn't hide there; someone would easily walk by that spot...

Sometimes, she wished her cat were less good at his little game of hide-and-seek.
