Scarlett wrote her letter in a burst of emotion. Fury, longing and something else she couldn't quite name. Once she had slammed her quill down, she let the ink dry on the windowsill of the Owlery before scrolling it up and giving it to Loki, Fiona's dreadfully old but seemingly immortal owl.

"Give this to Annabeth Knight," said Scarlett, commandingly. "And I'll give you a treat."

The old bird flew off. Scarlett gripped the windowsill tightly, so tightly that her nails made tiny dents into the stone, as if to steady herself. The letter would have to work. If it didn't, Scarlett would march right up to that little Frankie boy and hold him hostage at wandpoint until he told her where exactly Anna was. Afterwards, she would storm up to said place and drag Anna from there with her bare hands.
