Why were the Hufflepuffs not dying? Scarlett whacked a Bludger towards the blonde girl, and it rather painfully slammed into her. However, she hung on. The Bludger ricocheted towards their Seeker but Lindsey swooped it and hit it away. Scarlett clutched her bat tighter in frustration. Okay, maybe they had been hit and maybe the badgers were weakened, but they just stubbornly refused to fall down. How unsporting.
Anyway, Scarlett could barely make out what was going on, but she did see Gris slamming a Bludger into another Hufflepuff's side. Said Hufflepuff remained steady on his broom, again. "YOU'RE ALL GOING DOWN, SOONER OR LATER!" cried Scarlett, to no one in particular. She made out a big figure falling, and then a crack of lightning and thunder, and then it was back to rain. Scarlett flexed her fingers and continued her attempt at a path of annihilation.

In the midst of the ongoing events of the game, Rafael couldn’t help the scowl that slowly spread across his features at the sudden change in scores. Hufflepuff, as it would seem, had finally woken up from their initial stupor, their current savior taking the form of an old enemy – it would be like Aaron, the Captain supposed distastefully, to take the initiative for his team. A shame for Gryffindor, really, and an even greater disappointment to the Captain himself, who had abandoned the goals in favor for a short shift of lifeguard duty. A small smile would soon take the place of his distasteful expression, however, at the relieving vision of Griseldis cracking her bat in the chaser’s direction – of course, it made its mark, as most bludgers of hers tended to do. It was turning out to be a good play, despite the minor setback with the Quaffle.
Shaking such commentary from his head, the Captain focused his gaze back upon the game. Focus was imperative, especially given the play at-hand –

INTERCEPTION
When a Quaffle is being passed, users with this ability automatically get a chance to Intercept the quaffle. This does not replace their normal action for the round. This put the quaffle in your and by extension you teams' possession.
Also, if the Quaffle is dropped for any reason, you would automatically (without it taking up an action) attempt another Quafflegrab. At present there would be no mid-round way to drop a quaffle due to the order of operations, however there will be certain effects in future patches that can cause this effect.
CATCH
Able to catch two falling players on your broom when playing Quidditch. These additional caught players would be brought to the ground safely and they would be allowed to retrieve their broom and enter play again the next round. This can be done every round as the player's action if they choose to do so.
With brooms that have the feature where an additional player may be caught (such as Bluebottle) where there is a stackable chance of failure with each additional person caught, there is no stacking failure chance for players with this ability.

INTERACTING WITH @Anastasia Beckett | MENTIONING @Quinn Healy
They really did need to end this quickly. The flash of light that cut across the sky put the whole stadium in stark relief but for a moment. Long enough that Evelynn's attention, which had been returned to searching frantically for the snitch, was pulled heavenward. And with the rumble that followed, the clouds seemed to open up. Even God was weeping. Were their odds really that bad?
Evelynn's stomach churned with a sense of unease that she couldn't quite place. The sudden shift in weather had been, to her, quite unexpected. It was as though it were heralding something equally sinister. The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end. Without control of the broom, she couldn't help but feel a sitting duck, doomed to the misery of getting progressively drenched and being able to actively and directly do nothing about it. As much as she appreciated the constant support and rescue from her teammates, she was not at all a fan of being a burden or beholden to their flight. And already she could feel the target upon them strengthening. No doubt the other side would be equally keen to rid themselves of the downpour.
Then words trickled in between the wind and rain. Her name, and something about blatching. Eyes set themselves in scrutinizing hunt of incoming parties, thinking that perhaps it was forewarning of what Evelynn had been anticipating. But at least as far as she could see, there were no badgers incoming for a perilous impact. Yet, the broom accelerated beneath them anyway, and she had to grip tightly so as not to fall right off the backend. Gaze moving forward, she realized then was Beckett had meant. Not that they were the target of a blatch, but that opportunity rang for the opposite. Ahead of them, the large form of Healy could easily be made out in the bucketing rain where he dwarfed the petite form of the one who had caught him. Heart jumping into her throat, Evelynn had the sudden image of watching the both of them fall. The relief that came with it, knowing that she wouldn't have to worry about a bone-shattering impact of a bludger rocketed towards her at the hand of that behemoth was electrifying. It could be so easy. Why wait for the beaters to find and take control of bludgers and hope to whittle down his stamina or land a lucky enough blow to unseat him if they could just... take it into their own hands. It could be over in a flash. One little hit. Perhaps in the rain, it might even look like an accident. As though they didn't see them for all the water clouding their eyes. But even if it didn't, one little lap seemed a fair price to pay to eliminate arguably one of their largest threats...
Reality and the guilt that came with it slapped Evelynn harder than any bludger could have. What was she thinking. To stoop to their level. How many times had she butted heads with D'Spacito over this very thing? How often had she wanted to scream at him for setting strategies that involved Piérre having to forsake his post for a task that often left him bleary? Hadn't she just mentally berated Hufflepuff for coming out of the gate with a Pincer? Cheaters. That's what they were about to be. Cheaters.
"W-wait! Don't—"
But her words tore from her mouth to be discarded behind them in the tailwind of their charge. It was too late, anyway. The two were already speeding forward on a collision course for their target. All Evelynn had time to do, really, was to brace herself against the impact and try not to get thrown, herself, in the process. A moment later, the announcement came. It could have been her own mother accusing her of blatching for the weight she felt upon her shoulders that tried to bow her head in shame. And bow it she did. In silence, she kept her gaze ahead and down, fixed upon the number that wavered and danced in front of her. A reverent silence for the fallen as they flew off to complete their lap.

Kyle let out a cheer as he saw Quinn go down. Part of him wished he could have been a part of it, especially since he had knocked the half giant on his ass twice now with his bare hands, so it would have been pretty satisfying doing it a third time beater to beater. Alas, this time it was not to be. As he stood he watched the game intensely, urging the team as if he had mental powers and kept yelling and cheering until he grew hoarse.

What a cruel twist of fate. The first game that Aaron wasn't fully invested also seemed to be the first game he would be on a roll - managing to grab the quaffle three times in a row against Alan, the opponent that Gryffindor had sent up against him. Even though his first attempt at a goal was lackluster due to a chill down his spine, the two attempts after that gained Hufflepuff 20 points. Go team, right? Except Aaron was alone as he flew determinedly up and down the pitch, scoring a couple of times. The rest of the team was busy with other aspects of the game, but Aaron didn't know exactly what. He knew his job was the quaffle, so that's where his head was at. He felt like his hands were full just trying to ignore the downpour of rain and keep the quaffle from slipping through his fingers.
His distraction proved almost fatal, though, and a gasp left his lips when he felt the collision of an iron ball against his leg and broom. It sent him into a tailspin and a blinding amount of pain as he struggled to maintain the concentration required to stay flying. Something was broken, or at least it felt broken. Maybe he was overexaggerating - it didn't hurt as much as when he had taken an actual fall off his broom - but right now he was clutching his Moontrimmer for dear life and clinging on by a hair. When he finally regained control, he was breathing heavily through the pain of his leg and trying to place where the iron ball was. He had no idea who had sent it his way or if it had randomly targeted him, but he did not want to fall victim to it twice. If anything, the bludger had knocked his senses back onto the game instead of the distracted state he had been in before. He needed to stay attentive or he would fall. Again.
Aaron was still in the game - he couldn't fly down to get his leg examined yet. He had to keep his eye on the prize - the Quidditch Cup was at stake today. The thirteen-year-old couldn't let his team down today by not pulling his weight. The Hufflepuff refocused on the game at this point, ignoring the pain of his leg and trying to see through the rain for his next move.

Having never had the opportunity to save another player before, Atlas could at least determine that her top priority would be getting Quinn back to his broom. She knew the two of them sharing a broom would be an enticing target and yet she couldn’t purposefully draw attention to themselves by aggressively swooping to get Quinn reacquainted with his broom.
The icy rain pierced through her uniform and cascaded onto her goggles as she tried to eye up their opponents as she tried to find the path of least resistance but understandably the rain left a lot to be desired as she felt her neck craning forward to get a better look out at the pitch.
Turning her head slightly to the left, Atlas saw Ana and Evelyn speeding towards them as her mind didn’t have enough time to register an escape. Gripping her broom shaft tightly, Atlas braced for impact hoping she could keep the broom stable but be it the added slipperiness from the rain or the constant balancing of Quinn on her broom, Atlas felt the air leave her lungs as Ana collided with them.
Her instinct was to yell out but no sound followed as Atlas desperately clawed the air trying to reach for Quinn even though she didn’t truly have a plan even if their hands touched. Her right hand felt a tug almost immediately as Serena hoisted her onto her broom.
Securing her weight on the broom, Atlas looked down to see Quinn lying at the bottom of the pitch the hollowed feeling in her lungs only continuing to her stomach. “That should have been me…” Atlas whispered hoarsely as her head unconsciously tilted down.
Quinn was an unbelievable asset to their team and while it devastated her that Serena had caught her and not their captain, Atlas knew Quinn would give her an earful if she gave up her fight just because he was out.
Inhaling sharply, Atlas raised her head as she stared out at the weathered pitch a newfound sense of vengeance and determination boiling in her bones.

Alan felt like he had been doing great but no matter how fast he had flown, Aaron had somewhat bested him and despite the fact that Alan wasn't the most competitive person he felt challenged and grew slightly frustrated at the thought that he was letting his team down. Two goals had gone through merely because he had been bested at the position entrusted to him. But Alan liked Aaron, the kid who once helped understand him why someone could have a passion for Quidditch and was happy to see him on the team; so he could not really feel angry. Instead he would force himself to focus on the next task at hand and make his team proud!

Serena looked around the pitch, readying herself in case she needed to save someone from falling. Unfortunately, Serena missed the Bludger that Scarlett sent flying towards her until it was too late. The ball smacked itself into her side.
Serena let out a shout of pain. The twelve-year-old felt herself losing her grip on her Nimbus 1700. She almost fell off, but at the last second, Serena was able to get her fingers tightly around the broom.
Just as she made sure that she wasn’t going to fall off anymore, Serena looked up to see that Anastasia and Evelynn had barrelled into Quinn and Atlas.
“Shit!” Serena exclaimed as she quickly flew over. Dammit, there was no way she could save both of them. In a split-second decision, Serena grabbed the first hand that she could reach, which happened to be Atlas’s hand. After pulling the Keeper onto her broom, Serena felt her stomach drop as she watched her captain plummet to the ground.
“I’m sorry, Cap….” Serena muttered under her breath. If only she could have grabbed them both. But there was no time to dwell on her decision right now. They had a game to win.

So this was to be it huh. This was becoming a reoccurring theme it seemed. He actually found it quite humorous and couldn't deny the logic in it. His team knew exactly what to do it happened so much by this point and he made sure to practice a lot with them for this exact scenario so they could keep going. It was solid. He approached the familiar looking ground and waited for the inevitable impact. He wondered if the nice nurse in the hospital wing would have any sweets for him this time?

mentions generally all the players may 2nd, 2021Two goals from Aaron. Coolio. They had not yet made it to a tie, but at least, they were close. Two bludgers hit Serena and Aaron, but they were not enough to send both of the badgers down. Good enough. But wait. What was - what was Beckett and Decipio doing? Why were they flying towards -
“Captain!” she yelled out loud, almost close to screaming. In horror the young girl watched the giant badger fell off his broom with their keeper when Atlas was safely caught by Serena. Oh dear. They had lost Quinn, again. Though, at least they saved one. She sighed a little bit while watching Ami getting into position. Squeezing an optimistic smile out to the fourth year girl, she nodded silently. Hopefully they’d do this…hopefully.
Swiftly flying into Ethen’s way and sending a bludger away that might do some harm to him, she playfully yelled “Gotcha!” Well…it seemed that this would be a long game.
