Journey To Hogwarts open Closed

You almost run to the wall. A thick, tall, wide wall ... You're going to crash!
Well no. You just went on lane 9¾. The way to Hogwarts. Hogwartse school that has made you dream since you were little!
Your parents come up behind you. Much less in a hurry elsewhere. They don't look like they've run. Logic! This is at least the 20th time that they have done so.
You turn around. Your mother is perfect, as usual with her blue dress with her thick red bun. Your father is just wearing jeans and a shirt. As for you, you are wearing one of your favorite outfits, a black shirt and a pleated skirt.
You are super happy! Back to school is today. You will enter one of the most prestigious schools of Magic in the world: Hogwarts.
It is 5 minutes to 11 a.m. If you want a good seat, you have to hurry. Your mother seems to think the same because:
-[font=black jack]Come on darling. Otherwise, there will be no more room! [/font]then she turns to your father. [font=black jack]Do you remember our first year? How difficult was it to find a free seat?[/font]
-[font=black jack]Yes I remember! I got on and off the train until I found a seat with a second year group.[/font]
You smile, hug your parents, grab your big trunk and get on the train. Most of the compartments are full but soon you find one with just a girl inside. You open the door and you say:
-[font=black jack]Hi! Can I sit here? There is no place elsewhere ...[/font]

The girl looks delighted that you came to her compartment. Looking excited, she says to you:
- [font=black jack]Yeah, sure...of course you can sit here. I am Vivian Fletcher by the way...you can call me Vivian.[/font]
Vivian ... Nice name! You shake the hand she is extending to you then you answer:
- [font=black jack]I'm Lily Cooper. Thanks for letting me sit here, there are no more free seats anywhere![/font]
Then you sit down across from Vivian. She looks kind. And she doesn't seem to hate Muggles. Otherwise, you will already be gone. Before you declare yourself friends, you'll like to know more about the blonde. Where she comes from, if she has modlus in her family, if she is a muggleborn, how is it to live without magic ... You are very curious! A quality (or a flaw) that you inherited from your mother.
In fact, you can tell by her somewhat lost look that she has Muggles in her family. All? Just a few? This is the question you ask her:

You lacked tact, and you know it. It was not voluntary. It is, how to say, went out on its own. You give an apologetic little smile while Vivian answers you.

- Hi, Lily, nice to meet you. I came a little earlier and was so bored as I did not have anyone to talk.
So basically, she was bored and waiting for someone, whoever it was. You're absolutely fine with that. What you do know is that you've finally found a free place. Deep down, you don't know if you mind or not. You feel a bit like you're being manipulated when you're not. It's so weird!
You then ask her a question, which you regret before Vivian has even answered. Your question was a little too personal. You hardly know each other! But Vivian doesn't seem shocked or anything because she answers you calmly.
- I just got to know that I am a half blood when I received my Hogwarts letter. I live with my muggle born mother. It’s okay, everyone is curious at times.
Does most of the pure bloods hate muggles?
Still, she says her last sentence with a hesitant tone. It's an important question in your opinion, so you mustn't miss the answer. In your family, some people hate muggles. Vivan's mother is a Muggle, so you'd better tell her the truth.
- You mean your father abandoned you? It's common among Muggleborns. I'm sorry, Vivian.
And yes, many Purebloods or Witchborns don't like Muggles. Not all of them, don't worry. I'm a Pureblood myself but I went to a Muggle school, I have Muggle friends... So it really depends on the person.
Your answer... Wasn't totally complete. But you're happy with it anyway. You've told her basically what you know and you're waiting for her answer.

abandoned? Vivian opened her eyes wide when she heard this word not because she found it rude as everyone has their own assumptions but in a surprise, as she did not expect Lily to say this. “ No, it’s just... my father passed away,” said Vivian to Lily in a hesitant tone. She was abandoned but not by her father but by her father’s family or at least she thought she was, if they didn’t abandon her, they would have already tried to visit her. She thinks they hate her, though she knows nothing about them she is starting to hate them.

Vivian did not know why purebloods hates muggles, did not know what made them hate muggles. She was not sure about what kind of place she is entering but hoped that she will be able to manage and get used to it. She was hoping to get the answers to all her questions once she enters Hogwarts. “ Oh, you went to muggle school!?” she exclaimed in surprise. She did not know that purebloods go to muggle school. She was surprised as she thought that purebloods would not enter the schools in the muggle world . “ I never thought that purebloods go to muggle school.” She said to Lily as she thought it would be rude to not explain why she was so surprised.

“ So, it is my first year, what about you?” she asked Lily though she assumed that she is a first-year student too. But she wanted to confirm it. She also wanted to ask her more about the school, more about the wizarding world, more about witches and wizards there but stopped herself, no she was not able to ask her more.

You are stupid, stupid and stupid again! You're holding back from banging your head because you feel so stupid and indelicate. Why did you say that? It's simple: most half-bloods see one of their parents leave. But now... Poor Vivian. You really, really feel sorry for her. And you don't hesitate to tell her:
- Oh, Vivan! I'm so sorry, I didn't know...
You then explained about the Purebloods and Witchborn. You also told him that you went to a Muggle school. Which seemed to surprise her, and it doesn't surprise you.
- Oh, you went to muggle school!? I never thought that purebloods go to muggle school.
You smile. But not too much. Purebloods who don't go to Muggle schools are a real stereotype. You see it everywhere but it still annoys you. Yes, you went to a Muggle school. Yes, you had Muggle friends. Yes, you will miss them. Yes, your dream of being a witch gymnast is over. Sometimes you think that if your parents were your aunt and uncle, it wouldn't be the same. They are angry with your mother because of you and the fact that she wants to be friends with all muggles. If they were your parents, you wouldn't have gone to a Muggle school. And you'd be getting angry with Vivan right now. Or making fun of her. It doesn't matter because that's not what you're doing.
- As I said, it really depends on the person. For example, my parents are very open-minded. For them, muggles and wizards should be friends. But for Peter and May, my aunt and uncle, it's totally the opposite. I've only seen my cousin Zoey once in my life. For them, muggles must be exterminated. Don't ask me why 'cause I don't know.


- So, it is my first year, what about you?

Vivian was quite comfortable around Lily and she also found her as a friendly person. She really liked her and did not want to make the situation awkward by continuing to talk about her father. “ It’s- it’s okay.”. Vivian tried to stopped this topic and looked through her window as she did not feel like talking about her father anymore. It’s not because she was not comfortable sharing more about him with Lily, actually, she was comfortable but just because she was not in the mood to talk about him at this moment and also the fact that she doesn’t know anything about her father annoys her. After some moments of distracting herself from all these thoughts, Vivian turned and smiled at her.

Vivian was glad that Lily smiled, she was a little nervous after asking that question as she thought the question and the way she asked was rude. So, it was either not rude or Lily did not mind it. Seeing Lily’s smile, Vivian smiled back in relief. “So, it all depends upon how they’re grown up?” she asked in a low voice, more like a statement than a question but was sure it can be heard by Lily. She tried to ask this as a question but somehow it turned out to be a statement. “Exterminated?”she asked in a shocked tone. Well, she didn’t know and have any idea why purebloods hates muggles this much but after hearing all these, Vivian would think twice before talking to purebloods. Of course, she is not going to hate every purebloods as she can see that Lily is sweet and she thinks people like Lily exists.

Vivian was not surprised after hearing Lily say, she knows a lot about the school they are entering. Lily seemed to know a lot about the wizarding world as she was born and grown up there. She had a lot of questions inside her head and did not know where to start with. “Well, I heard something about houses... What is that?” Vivian asked her with a curious face. She didn’t even know how to ask the question, she was not clear about what houses are and did not have any idea about it.

It's not that you don't like them, but it's complicated. It's tense between your mother and uncle and as a result you've only seen Zoey once or twice. What you don't understand is how your two families can be so far apart in a Muggle/Warlock way. It makes you angry.

- Yes. Exterminated. Well, that's the term my uncle used the only time I saw him. Sorry if I'm being blunt, it's to prepare you in case you meet someone like that.

- Well, I heard something about houses... What is that?
The houses of Hogwarts. For you, there's no point in looking. It'll be Ravenclaw. Just like your mother, your father, your grandparents, your great-grandparents and before. You know a lot about Hogwarts houses. And not just because you've read the Hogwarts History. Also because your parents have told you all about it. They wanted you to know about it. So you wouldn't have that stupid prejudice about the evil Slytherins. Which is absolutely not true. So Vivian was right to meet you. Or rather, Vivian's lucky you found her.
- The houses.First of all, there are four: Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Depending on your character, the Sorting Hat places you in one of these houses. You stay there all your schooling. I'm pretty sure I'm going to Ravenclaw because my whole family (except for Zoey and her parents) were there.
