It took Ruka a while to muster up the courage to send off the letter. Long times of staring at and brushing his fingers over it had smudged the ink in places but it was legible enough still. The school owl he entrusted the letter with would helpfully nudge their leg in the direction of his shaky hands. If he didn't have classes he would have probably stood in the Owlery until he was delivered a response.
