The Sticky Accident
Serena ran the water over her sleeves, trying to get the stickiness out of it. She made a mental note to self: to be a lot more careful when carrying hot water with lemon and honey. Because not only did it burn, it also made a sticky mess everywhere. A phrase that was pretty appropriate the whole conversation today because encouraging Bloom to like Reid turned into a sticky mess. Not that she knew that now but she would, one day.
The girl listened to Bloom's explanation in thought. Did she feel that way about anyone? She imagined getting butterflies in her stomach - but they were literal ones - and the thought of that did not seem pleasant at all. It definitely didn't sound like an experience she wanted. Having literally butterflies stuck in your stomach, your heart beating harder, your mind going crazy... It all sounded a bit bad. Well, everything except the smiling. She smiled at the thought of it. Having someone who makes you smile, just by thinking about them. That was something special right? That was something sweet.
Serena looked over at Bloom as she turned off the tap. The Ravenclaw had a big smile on her face. It made Serena feel happy. Her new found friend's happiness made her happy. "Awww, bless," She started, teasing her slightly. Bloom looked adorable. She looked so happy right now. Ahh being young and in love. "I'm really glad you found someone who makes you this happy, Bloom," She continued honestly as she nodded her head, "I'm not sure I have anyone like that..." She continued, more to herself though.
She thought about the boys she knew. Well, actually, she didn't know many. She had met a few. One of her closest friends was a guy. In fact, he was one of the first people that she had met. They seemed to always bump into each other. Serena smiled softly to herself as she realised that almost every time, something crazy had happened. Well he was certainly an interesting one. Snapping out of thought,s he realised she had a smile on her face thinking about him and the moments they had shared. But they were just friends so, it wasn't the same - was it? She didn't get that painful sounding butterfly feeling or her heart didn't start pumping like crazy... They just... had fun together. It was different. Yes. Of course it was.

The Sticky Accident
The thought that Bloom, an eleven year old girl, was able to understand what it was to like someone was mature. Typically, the normal eleven year old would still be playing and in their own bubble of figuring out their social life. But to go as far as to think about someone and like them was beyond her age. Her sister, Claire, was very much like Bloom, too. Perhaps seeing how her sister grew up around friends and how she began to like boys was how Bloom was able to learn.
The sound of running water had snapped Bloom out of her excitement. She could not help but to think of Reid and how much her stomach was fluttering in like for him. She she tell him? Bloom felt as though it was the right time to tell him how she felt. I bet he feels the same way, she thought, her eyes smiling, day dreaming how it would plan out:
I would find him in the courtyard where he would be reading a book or maybe just watching people walk by while waiting for the next class. I would walk up to him and grab his hand. No... I would sit next to him and then grab his hand? Should I grab his hand? Okay, maybe not grab his hand. Not yet. And then I look at him and his handsome green eyes and tell him... Reid... I like you. And then he would look at me and say... Bloom... I like you too.
Bloom's eyes, still smiling was in complete day dream. Snapping out of her day dreaming once more was the sound of Serena's voice. To hear that the Hufflepuff girl did not have anyone that she liked so far was unimaginable for her as she grew up with the thought that crushes were the usual part of school.
"You'll find that person you'll crush on soon!" she said, hoping for the best for her new friend. Bloom walked over to Serena and looked at her burnt hand. It seemed to be doing alright and Bloom was glad that it was nothing more than red.
Wondering how long they had been in here, she wondered if she was in need to go to her next class. Unfortunately, she does not wear a watch and being on time is very difficult for her sometimes. Bloom grabbed her belongings and looked at the Hufflepuff. "I hope I'll see you again, Serena. It was nice to meet you. Also, feel better from the burn," she said, smiling and giving her Hufflepuff friend a hug. She was happy to have met someone who was kind. The fact that she was a Hufflepuff like Reid made her even happier.
Making her way out of the bathroom door, she left and into the corridor to head to class.

The Sticky Accident
Serena smiled as she noticed the look on Bloom's face. The girl looked so peaceful and content, it was adorable. She shook her hands over the sink a bit trying to dry her soaked sleeves a little. Of course it did not help much but she tried nonetheless. Perhaps just going and changing was a smarter option. There was a little time before she had class so it made sense to visit the Common Room now and fix her uniform. The Hufflepuff picked up the now cold cup of water, lemon and honey. She had left it by the sink when she had first entered. Draining the remaining content, which was not much, whilst listening to Bloom speak.
Bloom looked at her hand, which had drastically improved. It was saved by her quick thinking and the cold water. "Perhaps," She replied with a nod. She was not sure if she wanted a crush or not yet but... Bloom looked pretty happy. Maybe it would be okay. Maybe boys did not have cooties, after all. Who knows!
The Hufflepuff nodded with a smile as she hugged the Ravenclaw back, "Thank you. I think it's fine," She replied honestly with a slight shrug. It was a bit red but it no longer hurt. The water definitely helped. These toilets were still a bit weird and creepy though, "It was nice to meet you too, Bloom, see you around," She replied as she hugged the girl back.
Dropping the empty cup into her bag, Serena grabbed her things and headed out shortly after Bloom had left. She was glad she had met her. The Ravenclaw seemed so friendly. Whoever this Reid boy was, he better treat her nicely. She would definitely be mad if she found out he hurt her. First thing first, though, she needed to figure out who exactly this Reid guy was... Reid Kovacs, she believed the name was. A Hufflepuff boy, apparently. Serena made a mental note so she could look out for him in the Common Rooms. He better not hurt Bloom, that much was for sure! In this short meeting, Serena had found a friend in Bloom, the girl with the unwashed hands.
