"set a goal that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning."

Today had not been a particularly good morning for the redheaded girl. She'd started out the day with the intent to complete all her homework, go out for a ride on her broom, and then send a letter back home. The first thing that went wrong on this fine, fine, morning was that her robes were messed up. Rhea had, at first, thought that they were missing as she hadn't been able to find them; then when she found them she realized that they'd been shrunken and her Gryffindor badge had been somehow.. smudged? She didn't even know that was possible. But the redhead thought she could still come back from this; she thought she could still make the best of her day.

And then, the next thing. She opened up her book bag to take out all of her homework when she found that... Ink had spilled! All over her parchment! How was that even possible? Rhea was sure she had placed her ink bottle on her dresser before she went to sleep. But even then, Rhea was sure that everything had only been a coincidence. She could come back from her ink bottle spilling, right? If nothing was damaged, no harm was done.

But there was, in fact, 'harm done.' When Rhea took out her parchment and her textbook to get started on her Potions homework (before even eating, what a good student), Rhea saw that her textbook was completely soaked through, and her parchment was ruined. And now she was sure that someone was planning against her. There was no way the ink bottle could have opened by itself and spilled all over her books.

With a heavy trod and a deadly look on her face, Rhea made her way to the Great Hall. All the 'discovering bad things' had made her hungry, and she wanted to eat some... pancakes. Yes, pancakes. Pancakes would fix everything. She took a seat randomly at the Gryffindor table and started to pile as many pancakes as possible onto her plate, before drowning them in maple syrup. She bit into it but slowly stopped when she saw others approaching her. As she was still early, there were many empty seats surrounding her which others could sit on. Albeit, they were from different houses, but that's wasn't too important. Rhea didn't discriminate against other houses.

She saw Ami Procoppio walking up to where she was sitting, entering just now from the Great Hall entrance. Rhea also saw Natasha Belikov getting up from where she was chatting at the Ravenclaw table and making her way over to her. Rhea forced a smile, although her mood was still sour, and bit into a pancake. Maybe they would help her figure out who was sabotaging her.

But seriously, why would anyone want to annoy her?!

Ami woke up in her Hufflepuff bed and didn't feel like getting up. Not having received her schedule yet, she decided she'd be able to sleep in... but she decided to be safe, not sorry, so she reluctantly pulled on a soft, velvety black hoodie and tugged on white joggers. She piled her auburn mane on top of her head, secured it with about a million bobby pins, and rubbed her eyes. Now to figure out where the Great Hall was.

Half asleep and wearing Muggle clothes, she stumbled into the Great Hall half an hour later, rubbing her eyes. Not looking where she was going, she sat down at the Gryffindor table and faceplanted on the table. She immediately bolted upright, eyes wide. "Oh my god, where am I?" she asked aloud, and then turned a fiery red when she realized she was sitting next to someone, and probably ruining their morning. "Oh, geez, so sorry. I'm probably annoying the living daylights out of you. I'm, uh..." Ami rubbed her eyes again. "Sorry, geez, I'm so rude. I'm Ami. Nice to meet you." She extended her hand, yawning. "Nice to meet you. Gosh, I already said that, didn't I? Sorry, my brain never works properly in the morning."

Natasha was already awake by 7:00 am in the morning. She loved to run down to the lake and jog around there. That morning, the weather was not in her favor. It was raining really hard, which was weird since it was the middle of spring. So, waking up at 7 was a waste. She couldn't complete her morning run, so she decided to get a head start on her homework.  It was around 8 when she started to get hungry. She walked down to the Great Hall, smelling the delicious aroma of pancakes. She sat down at the Ravenclaw table and started to load multiple pancakes onto her plate. She saw a couple of Ravenclaw friends already sitting. Suddenly, she noticed a familiar red head walking towards the Gryffindor table. Rhea looked like she wanted to kill someone. Natasha hesitated to go over there, until she saw another girl sit down next to her. The other girl looked completely lost, and Rhea was just shoving the pancakes into her mouth. Natasha laughed and sauntered over to the Gryffindor table and sat down.

"Morning Rhea! Are you okay? I don't think it's healthy to eat that many pancakes at once." she chuckled and pulled the pancakes away from her. Natasha then turned her head to the girl sitting next to her. She heard her say her name was Ami.

"Hey, Ami, is it?" she extended her hand.  "I'm Natasha. Natasha Belikov. I'm a Ravenclaw." The blonde smiled warmly at the auburn haired girl.

Eri had gotten revenge on Rhea for one of her earlier pranks. Like always ever since they were little Rhea would prank Eri and she would get her revenge. As Rhea was leaving the corridors that day Eri made her ink spill all over her bag. Hopefully the Gryffindor girl would not find out. That would be really bad since she had no clue what was inside of Rhea's bag at the time of the ink spill.

The brunette noticed Rhea sitting at a table with a Hufflepuff and another Ravenclaw. Walking slowly Eri walked towards the table and sat down. "Morning Rhea." She nodded to the other two girls sense she did not know their names. Then Eri sat down opposite of Rhea and ate her food quietly. Maybe she was to quiet. She wasn't talking about her latest finds in a book and she wasn't laughing at the Gryffindor shoving pancakes into her mouth. Eri was quiet because she feared Rhea would do something to get back at her even worse.

She mustered a fake smile. This would be an awful day if Rhea found out it was her, but it was only a prank and she would get over it. Right?

"I'm Natasha. Natasha Belikov. I'm a Ravenclaw," the gorgeous blonde sitting on the other side of Rhea said, extending her hand. Ami lightly brushed her fingertips against Natasha's palm, and went over her name to calm down. Natasha, a generally Russian name, was also a very common American name, curiously enough. Belikov gave it away, however- a deeply Russian surname, ending in an '-ov', and the '-lik-' combination that sounded sharp and crisp.

Then a second Ravenclaw sat down across from Rhea (Jesus, how many Ravenclaws were in this place, anyway?), and Ami's heart started going even faster than it had before. So many new people, so many new faces- it honestly was all too much. She hurriedly stood up, mumbling something about getting something to eat- it would be fruit again. It was always fruits. She'd been here a whole freaking week and all she'd eaten was fruit. Orange juice, apple juice, apples, watermelon, oranges, mangoes, pineapples, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, raspberries, that weird snakefruit thing she'd tried on a whim (never again)... being a vegan was honestly so annoying, sometimes. She hadn't dared try the vegetables, as they usually were either paired with meat, or soaking in what was presumably chicken broth.

Both Ami and Natasha sat down next to her, and introduced themselves. Rhea already knew Natasha from before, but Ami needed to introduce herself first. Before Rhea actually got her name, the freckled girl rambled on.

"Oh, geez, so sorry. I'm probably annoying the living daylights out of you. I'm, uh..." Ami rubbed her eyes again. "Sorry, geez, I'm so rude. I'm Ami. Nice to meet you." Ami stuck out her hand at Rhea, who shook it. "Nice to meet you. Gosh, I already said that, didn't I? Sorry, my brain never works properly in the morning."

Rhea nodded, a small smile growing on her face and helping her forget her anger. "Yeah, you might've said it once or twice. But it's fine. I'm Rhea, by the way." Rhea smiled kindly at the other and started to eat some more pancakes to calm herself down. But then Natasha, a Ravenclaw who decided to sit down next to Rhea, started to scold her for eating so many pancakes. Rhea shot a hateful glare (albeit, a joking one) at the blonde and shook her head.

"There are never too many pancakes," said Rhea, gulping down yet another pancake. "If I want to eat a pancake, I will." Natasha and Ami introduced themselves to each other, and Rhea smiled. Of course, while she ate another pancake. She must've eaten at least six pancakes by now. Then, Eri Windstone approached their table and started to eat. It was getting kind of crowded now, and Rhea was starting to worry that other Gryffindors wouldn't have enough space to sit. But she shrugged and ignored that. She turned to greet 'good morning' to Eri, who greeted her back. But the short-haired Ravenclaw seemed quiet... to quiet. Was it because she'd done something wrong? Rhea shook her head and changed the conversation, aiming to pry the information out of Eri without her knowing.

"So, how's everyone's day been so far? My ink spilled all over all of my homework, but other than that it's been great," Rhea explained, throwing a look in Eri's direction. She wanted to see how the brunette reacted.

Eri's hand tensed hearing what Rhea had to say. She did not mean to soak Rhea's homework. Eri looked distracted and when she came back to reality she realized she cut her pancake into a million tiny peices. The brunette used her spoon to scoop up the tiby peices of pancake into her mouth. Once the Ravenclaw girl was done she drank some apple juice instead of her usual cup of water. She frowned and pushed the apple juice back. Apple juice did not taste good in her opinion. "Thats awful, Rhea." She sounded concerned. She was still scared of her.

Even when they were little Eri was scared of the girl's pranks. They were so much better than Eri's pranks. Hopefully Rhea would not do a much bigger prank to Eri. The ink spill was payback for the cantis spell. Eri's face was serious, she did not look happy nor angry. The brunette grabbed a cup of water and drank it quietly waiting for someone to speak up. This was a bit unerving for Eri. She did not want Rhea to know it was her in front of all these people. That would be the death of Eri windstone. That would not end well.

Ami ran- no, daughters of generals never ran, only speedwalked- Ami speedwalked over to the far end of the Gryffindor table, piling fruits upon fruits onto her plate. Picking up a cup of black coffee (no milk, no cream, all clear) as well, Ami hustled back to her seat and plopped down. She grabbed a fork a speared the first fruit she saw- a lonesome grape at the edge of her plate. To her utter dismay, it ended up rolling off the plate, and over to the short-haired Ravenclaw sitting across from Rhea. "Oops," Ami said, trying for a smile. "My bad. These grapes seem to have a mind of their own."

She picked up the grape, popping it into her mouth, squishing it between her teeth satisfactorily. "Mm. Is it just me, or are the fruits at Hogwarts sweeter than everywhere else? I wonder what kind of soil they use here," she mused idly. "And all this food! Who knows how many cooks it takes to prepare all this? I mean, look at the size of our student body. There's, like, millions of us, and the cooks have to prepare three meals a day. Is there a sign-up sheet for clean-up help?"

With a heavy sigh, Rhea realized that Eri wouldn't admit her crime easily. She would have to find another way to get the truth out of the Ravenclaw. With a sigh, she looked around and examined the rest of the girls around her table. Tasha was still eating, and Ami had gotten up to get some fruits. She piled ever so many on her plate, and then grabbed a cup of completely black coffee with nothing in it. Rhea raised her eyebrow in surprise. Black coffee? The girl had some guts. When she walked back she started to eat the fruits, but a grape rolled off. Rhea laughed as Ami picked it up.

"Mm. Is it just me, or are the fruits at Hogwarts sweeter than everywhere else? I wonder what kind of soil they use here," Ami started to talk rapidly, about everything and nothing, "And all this food! Who knows how many cooks it takes to prepare all this? I mean, look at the size of our student body. There's, like, millions of us, and the cooks have to prepare three meals a day. Is there a sign-up sheet for clean-up help?"

Rhea laughed again and shrugged. "I think the elves got it under control," Rhea stated. "You know what the house elves are, right?"

As Rhea waited for Ami's response, she looked at the other two. Natasha hadn't spoken in a while, and the redhead wondered why. Perhaps she would explain what the house elves were in case Ami didn't. Eri hadn't spoken a lot either... interesting. Rhea was slowly getting more sure that Eri was the one who had ruined her supplies.

Eri sighed and got another pancake and stabbed it with her fork so hard you coukd hear the sound of glass chipping. Eri didn't seem to realize how hard she stabbed the pancake. "Rhea, have you considered the person may have meant it as a prank and did not mean to ruin your homework? Just a thought." She bit into the pancake.  The plate had a small line of four dots. Which were from her fork. She blushed and put some eggs and bacon onto her plate and begun munching on bacon.

The brunette drank some more water and frowned. Rhea would find out it was her sometime but not in front of these people. This was interesting. Rhea normally knew Eri's pranks but she probably wouldn't embarrass Eri for it. Well she never knew what Rhea would do. Rhea was very unpredictible when it came to pranks. So Eri had to keep her guard up. She ate some more of her eggs and bacon and became silent once more. Being quiet was a sign that Eri probably did something and was around the person she did it to. Rhea knew that, at leadt Eri thought she knew that fact.
