2021, Stage 3 Group E: Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff Finished

Well, at least she wasn't dripping in snot like Galton was. That was a plus. She was so tired of being hit with Curse of the Bogies that she would take every round without it as a blessing. Her least favorite spell, but favorite to cast at others struck Galton easily and she had to look away to not feel queasy just from looking at him.

While she easily dodged Meenauh's spell, having two more streams of spell come at her was her demise in keeping a hold of her wand. Galton's expelliarmus launched her wand out of her hand and she couldn't help but pout for a moment at the loss. She couldn't help but whip a playful glare at Mars, how rude of them to laugh at her misfortune! The pout didn't last long though as Kazuo encouraged her. "Thanks!"

Round Two

This round has built up to be rather eventful. Both of the Gryffindors aimed at the Hufflepuff running across the pitch for her lost wand. The telltale sheen of the Knockback Jinx and Blindfolding Spell would have hit her had she not scurried out of the way, probably half a mind on those offending casts. Willow would scoop up her wand and be ready to join back in.

Likewise, Kazuo provided support for his teammate. Mars blanched backward as the heat of Incendio blew past them, making a beeline for Galton. However, the Gryffindor's nimble feet were more than capable of dodging. Mars huffed out a breath. So far, nothing had really changed.

Spectator Thread: Afternoon Slot, Group E: Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff

Kazuo had expected that Willow would become the prime target, disarmed as she was. Thankfully, while running to pick up her wand, she provided a hard target to hit and both Meenauh’s Knockback Jinx and Galton’s Blindfold spell whizzed past her. While Willow was retrieving her wand, Kazuo went on the offensive, shooting off a solid Incendio at Galton. Unfortunately, the sniffling Gryffindor managed to smoothly dodge his flames and he couldn’t help but to be disappointed. Two misses in a row. His brow furrowed in concentration as Willow rejoined him.

Miss, miss, and another miss. Galton’s neck hair raised as it felt the heat of an incoming incedio headed his way. The early alert let him step out of the dastardly spells path. But doing so took enough concentration away that his own spell missed, just like his partner’s.

It was an eventful round for sure. His fans had to be on the edge of their seats by now. He couldn’t let them down. Time to suck some snot back into his head and continue.

Perhaps it was pure dumb luck that Willow seemed to carry along with her as she fumbled along for her wand, dodging two spells that had come after her along the way. For a moment she even forgot that there were people that might shoot spells at her while she stumbled clumsily for her wand. Luckily, her unpredictable movements let her grab her wand confidently so she could return to the battle. She held it up triumphantly with a little, "Kazuo, look! I got it!" Surely her teammate would be excited with this update.

Round Three

Once again, it was a rather eventful but uneventful round. The gust of air that blew out of Meenauh's wand sweep Mars' hair up in a flurry—they hurried to push it away, just in time to see Willow gracefully dodge. Galton had chosen to employ the strange splitting technic once again, but neither of the Hufflepuffs were hit by the promise of blindness coming their way.

Kazuo, at least, seemed to have some luck this round. Or perhaps it was simply Galton who did not. The older Lion was hit by a strong Knockback Jinx, and Mars couldn't help but smile. It wasn't that they liked violence persay, it was just... more interesting this way. Yeah, that's it.

Willow attempted to do the same as her partner, but the spell had not gotten so far as halfway before it veered off course, heading straight back towards her teammate. Perhaps through a telekinetic warning, perhaps through pure instinct however, Kazuo easily avoided the warbling beam.

Hmm. At least there'd been some action this tim—they stopped, glancing over at Galton once more. He looked... odd. Maybe the cold was getting to him? Mars shook their head. Oh well. He'd have to deal with it, because the next round was starting very, very soon.

Spectator Thread: Afternoon Slot, Group E: Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff

Coming off of two misses in a row, Kazuo was determined to hit the sniffly, snotty, dodgy Gryffindor this time and it seemed that determination would pay off. Even as Galton sent a spell whizzing at him, he pointed his wand and gave a sharp “Flipendo!” then gracefully managed to step out of the way of the Blindfold spell. Willow had also sent off a solid Knockback in Galton’s direction but something had gone wrong with her aim and the spell seemed to veer toward him. He jumped out of the way, grimacing. He’d seen enough duels at this point to know that sometimes mishaps like this would happen and was simply thankful he’d spotted it and been able to dodge. “Got him!” He said instead, returning his gaze to Galton.

There was so much snot. So, so much snot. His nose was completely blocked, air not able to squeeze out anymore. And it kept coming, it was beginning to drip back into his throat like some disgusting slime smoothie.

His cast was decent enough, but his accuracy wasn’t. To be honest, he didn’t even focus long enough to see where the split spell went. Nor did he see the flipendo coming. He could barely get a breathe out, throat blocked with the boogie’s evil effects.
