Flower Crown Making
Rhea had heard of a small 'flower-crown' competition going on in the Grounds. She'd heard of that activity and had seen actual flower crowns, but she'd never actually made one. She had either the house elves or her nanny make them for her in the summer.
As she'd only ever seen the crowns being made, Rhea hoped to be able to make her own. She knew it wouldn't be the best from the start. However, when she heard that it was a competition, then the stakes went up in Rhea's mind. She had to win. The redhead walked closer to the stall, where Professor Wright, the Herbology professor, stood next to her stall. Rhea examined the objects and various flowers that were on the table. She thought long and hard about which flowers she would pick - did she want a blue colour pattern, a red one, a pink one, a green one? The options were endless. But eventually she settled for a pink-purple gradient, which she thought would fit her hair better. She picked up a white and pink rose, a purple tulip, and... was that a hydrangea? Rhea grinned and picked up the blue/purple hydrangea. She took the scissors and the wires and headed to her own makeshift station.
Rhea looked in hesitation at the scissors and wire held in her hand. Closing her eyes, she tried to imagine what her nanny had done when making a flower crown for baby Rhea. She vaguely remembered her twisting the wire around her head first to make sure it was a proper fit. Rhea did so, and cut off the excess wire. Her head was quite small, and Rhea had taken a bit too much wire, so there was quite a bit of excess.
Then she quickly got to work. She poked a hole through each flower and gradually attached each one to the wire, making sure then the flowers would overlap--but not too much--and that the color scheme remained the same throughout the entire piece. Rhea's eye for colour came in handy, and all the paintings she'd done of flowers ran through her head. She weaved the flowers through the wire, a white rose then a pink one, after which a tulip was added. Soon enough, the flower crown was finished and she placed it on her head. She held up a mirror that was kept in her station and looked in it. The flowers did, in fact, compliment her hair. She grinned and put the mirror back down.
"Done," she said proudly.

Picture is my avatar with the flower crown. Although I found the original base for the flower crown on the internet, I drew over it with 'pencil' (digital art) and added some shadows and things. Also, sorry it's so big lol.

Flower Crown Making
The girl knew she was going to miss the festival if she stayed and finished her studying. Eh, I have time, she thought to herself before walking to the Grounds. Her hair, as usual, was in a curly mess. She knew she should fix it, but was too lazy to.
Natasha was extremely excited to start off BlossomFest. She watched students of all ages skip around, talking and laughing. There were so many booths to choose from. One sign caught her eye. It was simple and plain, but it had the words 'flower crowns' on it. Shouldn't that be an even bigger reason why the sign should look much brighter and enticing? Natasha shrugged and walked closer, noticing the professor there was her Herbology professor.
"Hey Professor Wright," Natasha smiled. This station seemed really interesting, even though it wasn't really populate. She looked to see there were already a couple of students there. They were all cutting up wires, putting flowers on. It looked really nice. All of the different colored flower petals were truly a sight to behold. She grabbed an extra wire and some scissors and got to work.
Around 10 minutes later, a small Hufflepuff stood up and walked over to the professor.
"Mam, whaddya think… i-is it any g-good?" he said. The girl stared at his crown in astonishment. How did he make that so well? Natasha looked down at the mess in her hands. The wire was curved in a way it wasn't supposed to be and the flowers were completely crumpled up. Tasha shook her head and threw it away.
She started again. After multiple tries, she finally ended up with a multi colored covered wire. It looked semi-decent. The roses looked intact, and so did the wire. She put it on her head and looked in the mirrors provided only to find that it was a bit big and just slumped on her hair. I mean, I guess it's fine? she tried to reassure herself. It's my best one so far. She stared at her reflection in the mirror and smiled. It actually looked pretty cool.

Kyden looked around the group circling the table. It looked as if he was the only boy. His eyes landed on one other boy and he was a bit pleased he was not the only boy wanting to make a flower crown. Kyden hung back and let everyone take all the prettiest and brightest flowers. He waited until grabbing hands were out of the way. He specifically wanted mostly all broken, ripped, and strange looking flowers. He grabbed hand fulls of the stuff most other wouldn't want. He even grabbed some seaweed and kelp looking plants. He knew that would be perfect for his plans.
He moved to where he would have plenty of space to work and quickly got started. He made the base of his crown first. After that he created a K for the first initial of his name and set it to the side. He would fix it to the crown when he was done creating the rest of it. He worked for quite some time. Before long he had two completed flower crowns. The first he had made for himself to enter into the contest. He finished fixing the K to the crown and placed it on his head.

Kyden then stood up and carefully lifted the second crown walking over to Professor Wright. "Not that I have the power to do so but I know dub you Professor Wright, Queen of Herbology! I hope you like it," He presented her with the crown he had made for her and smiled. He was really enjoying the new professor who shared his love of plants.

Flower Crown Making
The BlossomFest was something Sebastián never experienced as a student. It seemed to be a fairly new tradition here at the school. At least, he hoped such a whimsical and fun festival could become a tradition. So much of Hogwarts history is stooped in violence. Triwizard Tournament was a prime example of it. Not that it was a bad thing all of the time, it just was nice to see a change of pace. This wasn't a duel, a Quidditch match, or any other painful, wizarding pass time. The smell of vendors bringing in food and sweets filled the air alongside flowers, candles, and other goods. Truly it felt like Spring already. The lake glistened with reflections from the sunlight and cherry blossoms formed in the trees surrounding them. For the Spaniard, Winter in Scotland was always depressing compared to his homeland. Spring felt like a recharge of his mind.
"Professor Wright," he said, smiling as he approached the booth with the flower crown crafting. "Seems you have a little gathering going. What are we making here? Flower Crowns I see?"
In truth, Professor Cazarez was not particularly interested in making a flower crown as much as he was getting to know one of the other professors he had such little interaction with so far. She seemed kind enough so far from what little he knew. Plants seemed to be her thing. He would refrain from mentioning his poor grades in herbology and dislike for the subject. His mother always hated that he lacked the green thumb or an interest in obtaining one. Little Sebas always took his own path, often to the dismay of his family.
"How are you adjusting to Hogwarts, Professor?" Sebastián asked Sorrel as he idly picked up a wire and some fresh looking flowers.
It wasn't an attempt to show off by any means, but the History of Magic Professor silently cast the Diffindo charm as he worked on the crown. A few sunflowers caught his attention so he started to run the wire through them, alternating between red and yellow petaled versions of the flower. By no means was the new crown a masterpiece, but it was at least rounded well and had flowers in a secure, orderly pattern. Satisfied with his work he placed it on his head with a grin. The Spaniard could not help but laugh at himself as he displayed his work for his fellow Professor.
"This would look much better on you," he said, placing the crown gently on Sorrel's head. "Your natural beauty compliments las flores. Much better."

Flower Crown Making
The fact that it was already spring was unrealistic. The snow was disappearing and the nature was popping into view with new buds and the smell of fresh dew. Today, unlike any other day, was the beginning of Hogwarts' BlossomFest where the celebration of springtime takes place. Bloom was excited to be a part of such a wonderful event, especially through a very long and tough year.
The first part of the week-long event was outside on the grounds. The Herbology professor, whom Bloom forgot the name to, was hosting an event to make flower crowns. Bloom had never made one in her life and she was determined to give it a try. Making her way to the grounds, she saw that there were quite a bit of other peers making them, too. Some were beautiful while others were modest. She wondered what her skills would bring to the table.
Waiting for her turn, she sat near another Professor, Professor Sebastian Cazarez and grabbed both a wire and stems. She watched those around them put it together and she tried to mimic them. Unfortunately, the more she mimicked, the more it was not turning into what she had wanted. She wrapped the stems together and tied gently knots, not wanting to break them. Between the knots were loops. Bloom grabbed flowers and stuck them in, looping the flower's stems around the wire, too.
Filled with purple, yellow, pink and red flowers, Bloom looked at her piece of work and realized it was not as beautiful or delicate as what the others had made. It looked like rubbish. However, for a twelve year old, she didn't care too much as it was her own piece of rubbish. She tied the wire at the end after measuring her head with it and placed it on her head with a smile. A yellow flower immediately fell off and Bloom picked it up and placed it behind her ear.
She looked at the professor, who seemed to be in a conversation with Professor Cazarez, and tried to get her attention. "Finished, professor," she said, listening in for a second on their conversation. Professor Cazarez seemed to like the Herbology professor. Bloom thought it gross that old people were flirting.

Peach had heard about the event taking place at the ground but being busier than usual, she had had no time to get down to it. That was why, running down to the grounds, her hair flying all around her, she felt relieve to see that it had barely started. She let out a deep breath and slowed down her pace. It was so cute and pretty, signs a little everywhere and people standing behind tables, offering food and drinks as well as activities or selling little jewelleries. It instantly put the young girl in a good mood and she walked through the small alley of stands, looking around. Everyone seemed happy and cheerful and she thought that since the snowball fight, no body had been this relaxed.
She approached the crown making activity and suddenly got very excited. She got to make something! With flowers! And nature! She grabbed a piece of wire that she cut the size of her head as instructed the professor and then she sat down with everyone, looking around at the flowers. There was a little of everything: sunflowers, roses, lavender, tulips, aconites and anemones and even balsams. The young girl wondered how so many out of season flowers grew here but after all, magic was key. She went around the wire with some vine and picked up a pretty yellow flower that she placed to the right of the crown. She wasn't too sure of how she was going to do this but she decided to go with whatever she thought was the prettiest. She picked a big sunflower that she placed in the middle of her crown. She wanted some red in her crown, so she picked a carnation, a little red-ish flower that resembles a rose, and put it to the right of her crown.
After a while, this one was a big mess of little flowers and big fighting for some space on the vine. The big sunflower in the middle made it all work well together somehow and Peach helf her little creation in front of her. She was really proud of it and she decided to add tiny pink flowers to the rate empty places and to wherever they could fit. She didn't want it to be magnificent, she just wanted it to look pretty enough to be on her head. And plus, no one would judge her or her crown so it was all good.
She smiled once more, excitedly and placed her little crown on her head. The colours of the flowers contrasted with the black of her hair, giving it a nice pop. The Hufflepuff grabbed a mirror that was not being used and looked at her reflection. The crown looked big on her head and was a big mess of colours, which made her look paler but her smile stayed as wide. She hadn't created anything of her own in a while and this felt refreshing, and plus, she had been able to relax after a long few hours of stressing over homework given.

Flower Crown Making
Michelle walked lazily around looking at all the table displays for BlossomFest and slowly approached the flower crown making station. She leaned over looking at the available flowers and gently picked up a small yellow flower and twirled it in her hands, this could be fun.
Michelle grabbed some wire and copied the example on the table and matched the size to her head. She observed the other kids making their's to see how they fit the flowers on the wire. She examined the flowers and picked up a large yellow carnation flower, she loved the way the flower was ruffled and vibrant. She placed it in the center and nodded. "Yes Ill put it in the middle, it'll be a big centerpiece," she whispered to herself and began grabbing more flowers as she planned out her crown.
Michelle held up the crown and turned examined it, she thought it looked pretty, it wasn't often that she let her creative side flow and she was pretty proud of the result. The main theme of the crown was yellow, pink and orange, she had the big yellow carnation in the middle with orange marigolds, pink cosmos, and a few bushels of the flower basket of gold on the sides. She also added some babies breath and some green leaves to break up the vibrant colours of the crown.
Michelle took her bun down letting her brown hair flow over her shoulders and placed the crown on her head. She didn't even know if she looked all that pretty but she felt like a spring princess. Actually, everyone looked stunning in their crowns, the flowers enhanced their beauty and made everyone look joyful. She grabbed a daisy from the table to hold and smell as she walked happily around the Blossomfest area.

Flower Crown Making
Ava walked out of the castle SHe heard there was some contest going around on the grounds. Which does not mean that the girl knew what it was about - the young Silver had no idea. She just enjoyed being here, at Hogwarts, on the grounds, or just generally outside. It would always give her a strange boost of energy - it was like magic. Which here quite suited the situation - she was at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at Hogwarts, right? But she still could not explain why. It was like one moment she was so tired and the one thing she wanted to do was sleep, she walked out and in the span of a second she could write an essay or run a marathon. Maybe not exactly like that, but still - that was what she felt like happened.
As Ava was getting closer to a long wooden table, she starting seeing people. The first person she recognized was a professor - History of Magic, she believed. Then Aurelia surname-that-I-cannot-pronounce and a Ravenclaw girl - a prefect? - she hit during the snowball fight. And of course many people she did not know.
She approached all of them to see how they're making something. Flower Crowns! Great! The young Silver watched the others do it before grabbing a pair of scissors, some wire, and of course flowers. She was already planning everything in her mind and as soon as she gathered the supplies she needed, she got to work.
Since she already planned on her accessory being simple, she didn't need much time. Simplicity - something quick and yet appealing, something that doesn't hurt your eyes with how much color there is - just something that's natural and can actually 'represent' Spring.
"I'm done!" she said. To no one to be completely honest. She looked at it for a while and then looked around to see what everyone else came up with.

Flower Crown Making
In all honesty, Serena had woken up this morning with no intention of doing anything useful. She planned to stay in bed all day, staring up at the ceiling and occasionally sitting up to eat some food. Perhaps read a book or something. Spend some time alone, staring out of the window and moping around. All of the things that sometimes you just need to do. However, her plans were very much ruined the moment Delilah walked in. The very excited Ravenclaw dragged her out of her bed, claiming she wanted to make a flower crown. Apparently the Blossomfest had started in the Grounds. Serena had no intention of going to it. She had no intention of leaving her bed or the Hospital Wing for the foreseeable future, in fact.
Her friends, however, seemed to have different plans. They showed up and asked her to accompany them somewhere, after the nurse had given them permission to leave. Delilah was one of those friends - and Serena did not have the heart to say no to her’s excited face. Walking beside her, the Hufflepuff made her way to the Grounds.
As she left the castle, her gaze quickly flickered towards the lake. In the distance, by the trees, was where everything had happened... She clenched her fingers a little, tensing at the memory. Her hesitation was apparent in the slight shaking of her fingers and the change in her breathing, even though her expression remained blank. It had not been that long since the event. The memories of the camp out and the darkness haunted her every night. Serena sighed a little. It was a nice bright day, the sun was out. It was Spring now... The flowers were starting to blossom. Surely that meant things would pick up, things would get better. At least the days were brighter and the darkness came later. She hated the darkness. Well, she did now.
The wind hit her face, causing her to cough a little. She was still not used to breathing properly. It was probably less to do with physical damage, and more to do with the psychology damage that had been done. Sighing a bit more, she looked away from the Great Lake and allowed her eyes to fall onto the new stands that had blossomed for the Blossomfest. "There it is," She said softly to Delilah, forcing herself to smile a little so she did not dampen her friend's mood, "Shall we go?" She asked her before leading the way to the Herbology Professor's stand. Approaching Professor Wright, "Hey Professor," She greeted her, taking a seat at the table and listening to her instructions. She had sat down next to Bloom after greeting the fellow Prefect. Looking around, she noticed a few familiar faces around, smiling at them, greeting them too.
Serena spotted the History of Magic Professor working on his flower crown. It looked like he was quite enjoying himself. The whole sight was a bit surprising to be honest. She certainly did not take the Head of Gryffindor to be a flower crown sort of person. It was sweet. He was kind of... cute? Serena watched him work on his crown for a moment before realising she was being weird and suddenly looked away. Oof, hopefully he did not notice her. That would have been awkward, how embarrassing! He was kind of cute, though, wasn't he? Should I say hello? Hey Professor Cutey- No no, that's weird... Leave him alone... She thought to herself, shaking her head at her own thoughts, quickly looking down to the table. "Uh so what colour flowers are you going to use?" She asked Delilah quickly scanning the table.
She picked up a few flowers that were within her reach and started to put together some colour combinations. Taking the wire. she cut a piece using scissors and began to tie the flowers onto it. Serena looked up to grab a few more, spotting Bloom. She had a yellow flower tucked behind her ear, which caused a smile to appear on Serena's lips, "That suits you, Bloom," She complimented her before looking at her colourful crown.
In comparison, Serena's was relatively boring in terms of colour choices. She had gone for some yellow and orange flowers, pairing them with brown vines. There was an Autumn look to it but it also matched her house colours well. She liked the yellow. There needed to be more yellow around. If nothing else, the recent events had reminded her of how much she loved being a Hufflepuff. For her house, she grabbed a few more yellow flowers and started to string them onto the wire.
Serena was getting into it. A smile appeared on her face as she concentrated on adding more yellow onto the wire, a touch of orange just to add a bit more interest and using the brown vines to tie them together. It was fun. There was no magic involved, it was less likely to go wrong - right? The Hufflepuff finished the crown that reminded her of her house colours with a sense of house pride, and a little more confidence and relief from the earlier stresses, "I think I've finished," Serena said, holding her finished product up to examine with a genuine smile on her face. She was glad Delilah had dragged her to this event, it was a bit more enjoyable than staring at the hospital ceiling. "How's yours?" She asked, glancing over to Delilah to see how she was doing with her crown.

Flower Crown Making
Max eyed the table he'd been thinking about for a while, pursing his lips thoughtfully. Everyone seemed to be completely into the art of making crowns from flowers, and though not everyone's art project was turning out completely fantastic, they looked like they were having a blast. Usually he wouldn't be allowed to participate in something like this but who here was really going to care? And besides, there were prizes involved. You couldn't fault someone for wanting a prize.
He quietly slipped between people to reach the table, picking up wire and then studying the flowers. It was only when he saw an Asphodel flower that his mind really started to get into it. The Fields of Asphodel - the place Greek mythology said was a part of the Underworld where the morally ambiguous went. Greek mythology was what gave him the idea, really, though he was no jeweler.
Scooping up a bunch of Asphodel flowers, wire, and some scissors, he ignored the table and instead chose a part of the ground that had been stamped into dirt by the feet of hundreds of students walking by. There was no dry grass or leaves near here to mess it up. He settled cross-legged on the ground and first set about cutting a strip of wire that was just big enough for his head, laying it in the dirt when he was finished. That done, he took a bunch of knuts out of his pocket and set them around the wire at about one centimeter intervals. Looked good; he wasn't sure if they were allowed to use extra materials or not, but even if he was disqualified this would be a crown he could actually wear.
The next step was picking the petals from the Asphodel blossoms off of the plant. He made a pile of the delicate white things beside him, keeping his fingers as light and careful as possible so as not to tear them. Finally, for the last ingredient, he unhinged the scissors so that he basically had two sharp instruments that could be wielded separately instead of one composed of two parts.
He took out his wand, made sure no one was too near, and pointed it at the first knut. "Incendio," he muttered, the spell he'd frequently practised and learned about in their first Herbology class. The flames spouted out and hit the coin, turning the metal soft. Before the cool air could get to it, Max snatched up one of the Asphodel petals and pressed it deep into the knut, jerking his finger back before it started to burn.
The pressure from his finger made an indent in the metal, and Max used his parts of the scissors to shape it a little before the metal hardened back up. Holding the flower in the middle with the rounded end of one scissor part, he used the sharp end of the other to push the coin's edges inward so that they curled over the Asphodel petal. By the time the metal cooled, it was more of an oval shape that held the petal securely in the middle than a circle.
He did this with the rest of the coins and petals as well - all of them with varying degrees of success. They certainly weren't all equally proportioned (some of the coins were more round or too oblong) but he thought they looked kind of cool. When he was finished using the fire spell, he brought his coin-petals and wire to the table, setting them down and then going to grab a vine.
It took much longer than he'd bargained for to strip the leaves from the vine until it more resembled a strong rope of bark, but it was worth it. He used a single long vine and the most skillful loops he could manage to tie his coin-petals to the wire, wrapping vine around the edges of the coin-petals and then threading the vine down along the wire to hide the fact that the wire held his whole crown together. When he was finished, he twined the wire ends that he'd cut together and it formed a full circlet he could wear on his head.
He gently held the creation in both hands, grinning; rather than a flower crown, it resembled a laurel wreath made of Asphodel petals and copper. The irony of making a victory crown out of a death plant was just too good an opportunity to pass up. He set it on his head and laughed aloud. A fine tribute to Hades; a fine tribute indeed.
