Henry gave a hint of a smile at the fellow slytherin trying to motivate their team with chocolate if they won. The teen wasn't about to think that it would work unfortunately he was about to think the opposite as he raced forward again after the quaffle getting distracted by the other team's seeker yelling about how they needed chocolate.

Finding that another grabbed the quaffle before him, Henry tried to shake out the words of the seeker. Which was sort of loud and to some extent a bit humourous, however the teen didn't laugh even if he was tempted to as he again raced after the quaffle only to find failure again but determined to get it.

The teen followed behind wasn't expecting the chaser to drop it as he inclined his broom down before pulling up at the shouts of the seeker again.

Merlin's wand was she annoying but also entertaining to some extent. The teen didn't mean to look over at her but couldn't help it, she was screaming on the pitch.

Henry would let out a little chuckle before remembering his own team's seeker and spinning his head to Gia, unfortunately the gryffindor didn't have the stitch but he couldn't tell if she spotted the golden ball yet. He hoped that she did.

As he raced back up to the other's not really sure why he was continuing with the game, he hadn't got the quaffle once and was clearly a failure at the sport. This was the main reason he did dueling, it was a sport on intellect and strategy which he was at the most part better than at it then he was at quidditch.

Henry would lean his broom into the outer edge of the pitch and race around it once as a quick way to see what his team was doing for a second.

The ravenclaw boy; Pericles seemed to be on his round of safe duty wondering who he was going to switch it.

The other chaser was a slytherin and she was after the quaffle and scored once causing a small cheer from the teen nothing to noticable since outbursts wasn't really his style and he saw it as a chance to embarrass himself.

The two gryffindor beaters both missed their targets but at least the gryffindor girl dodge the bludger that was heading toward her.

Gia seemed to either be searching or chasing the seeker, he couldn't tell really from the distance he was at.

Come on Gia!

The boy then found himself at the end of the pitch by the goal hoops and his team's keeper; Rose. She seemed to be trying some keeper maneuvers and was doing a general good job at it, the teen would fly by giving her a smile as he spoke" brilliant defending Rose!"

The teen was racing on the other side now, eyeing Anastasia Beckett cheering on their team from the bench. Henry would fly past her and look toward the quaffle, figuring he should go after it again but was also doubting if he should.

Hanging on the of the pitch watching other race by him as he was eyeing the game for a moment.

I will definitely be forcing Cash into dueling practice with me for this!

This embarrassment more like it, why did I let them convince me to sign up? This is pathetic I haven't got the quffale once yet and haven't done anything useful for my team yet... why I'm I even here?

Maybe I could sneak off? Would anyone notice? I doubt it and I'll be saving the rest from a lost maybe I should leave... I could just fly off during a moment of chaos and no one notice? I'm bloody awlful anyway so it won't matter much if I leave or stay and it isn't like I have any of my mum's talents anyway....

Henry felt his head start to throb and heart pound in his ears a little creating a ringing in his ears as he started to race around the pitch as he remembered his mum was both captain and a superb chaser for the ravenclaw team during her time at Hogwarts....

I'm pathetic compared to her! A failure! If Anna was here I'm sure she'll be better! I'm sure she has mum's talents in quidditch! Better than me!

'Isn't everyone better than you? Isn't that hard to be anyway'

Go away! I don't need to listen to you now!

'A failure at quidditch and life'

Your my anxiety! Only a voice! If I'm calm then you won't be here!

'You should leave! You'll be doing your team a favor if you did'

Screw off! Screw off!

'I'm only here because you know it's true'

Henry felt himself on the inside start to lose it because of his anxiety but on the outside he looked like a statue. Emotionless.

The teen refused to let anyone see or wonder if there was something wrong so as he neared where Cash sat, the teen would lean down and rave past them grabbing the blanket that was around them.

Before turning and coming to a halt in from of them as he spoke" enjoying the show Cash?" with a smile before throwing them back the blanket as he spoke " seems like your chocolate motivation plan worked, maybe I should try it?"

The teen balanced on his broom and cupped his mouth with his hands as he shouted so his whole team could hear, " Same offer for TEAM HOLLYTHONE! If we win then I'll buy the whole team chocolate!" The teen would then eye Cash again giving a bit of a laugh figuring it wasn't the worst suggest and it could sever as motivation.

"I should better get back in the game, have warming up the bench Cash," Henry called out playfully toward his purple hair friend before racing back into the game. The wind drying out most of the words around him letting his thoughts occupy his mind.

Communicating quickly with Starlee, Bridget watched as the younger girl took her place as Aurora's defender. She was admittedly a bit apprehensive about putting her there. It wasn't doubt about the girl's abilities, exactly, but more fear she'd be hit and she'd fall, an experience that could prove traumatic enough to throw her off for the rest of the game. Luckily, it seemed her worrying was unnecessary as Starlee successfully lured away the bludger heading for Aurora and got out of its way, as well as avoiding the one that had headed straight toward her. An interesting switch in tactics by Team Hollythorn; had they been gunning for her since she'd been on save the round before, hoping to take out their safety net, or had it been a general attack at a Beater? Either was entirely feasible, and Beaters tended to get the most fire after Seekers.

Enough of that, though. A bludger was coming to her general location and she was looking to hit it this time around. With a practiced swing, a backbeat specifically, she gave it her most accurate shot at one of the opposing Beaters, exhaling sharply as it just barely missed. No matter, her team's victory had not depended on her landing that hit.

They were still in the lead, just by a narrower margin. James missed the first block but managed the second, leaving him with an overall block rate of 75% so far. Rather impressive, especially for a new player. Everly secured the Quaffle once but had the misfortune of fumbling it before she could get off a shot. "It's alright, Everly!" Mistakes like that could happen to anyone, she just needed to not let that one failure get to her.

She was also apparently mistaken in her original understanding of what 'chocolate' meant, so hearing it had given her a moment of panic, expecting to see Aurora plummeting to the ground. With both of the Beaters already accounted for, her first thought was that it had been a blatch, except Aurora was perfectly fine and none of Team Hollythorn had gone in for a foul. Noted, then. 'Chocolate' means incoming attack, not imminent loss of their Seeker.

The game in general
Saturday
Brisk Morning
Quidditch Scrimmage 2021

As the game continued there was a slight wind picking up, Cash wrapped their dark blue fleece blanket around their body some more. Sitting on their bum while watching the game is cold as hell. When Cash played for their house, the green eyes did not mind the weather one bit since they constantly flying or moving.

But it a different story when they are watching the game from the sideline. Cash watched intently as another round begin. Emma and Pericles choose to be the safeguards for both their respectable teams. The other four Chasers, fumbling around the ball. Cash cringed when the four of them almost collided with one another.

At the mentioned of Everly last name by the commentator, their green orbs zeroed in the first year Gryffindor. Cash had seen the girl before. She is the one that bonked Cash's head with her thick book. "There's no books for you to bonked at, Charlton and yet your clumsiness followed you everywhere"Cash cupped their hands around their mouth to amplified their voice.

If Cash knew that Everly in their team, they will never promise that chocolate. But hey, promise is a promise. As an Ironwoods, Cash always hold into their words. The beater let out another excited whoop when Holling managed to blocked Carrington second attempt to score against one of the hoops that the blonde haired boy guard.

On the other side, it seems both of the opposing Beaters determined to get rid of Starlee. Because the blond haired girl have to dodged not only once but twice from the assault of the iron ball of metal. "Star!"Cash shouted. "Dodge that bludger like how I taught you"The purple haired let out a breath of relief when Starlee managed to evade the second one.

The young socialite know being hit by a bludger felt like and they did not wish that fall upon anyone, let alone to someone that they care about (though Cash will never admit this out loud). Aurora shouted that their team need chocolate. "YES WE DO! SO WIN THE WHOLE DARN THING"Cash screamed back.

It seems the promise of chocolate motivated their Seeker as the young girl screamed yet again. "MY PRESENCE IS NOT THAT TERRIBLE DEAR SNITCHY SNITCHY! SO MOVE YOUR GOLDEN ARSE STRAIGHT TO MY HAND!”. At the last bit Cash was howling. Their laughter echoing through out the pitch.

The wind decided to picked up again. Cash just about to draped the blanket around them some more when Henry snatched it from them. "Merlin!,"The Latinx person let out a shudder. This by far was the coldest morning they have had ever experience. "I definitely am"Cash replied back to Henry when the blue eyed boy asked whether Cash enjoyed the game or not.

The duelist then shouted the same statement for his team like Cash did some moment ago. At that, Cash let out a chuckle. Henry then bid his goodbye as he need to get back to the game. He made a remarked for the young socialite to have fun warming the bench. Cash clenched their jaw.

Surely, so far Ranvier doing such a good job played as a Seeker. But Cash left to wonder if they were in that position, would the game be any different?

While Rose was basking in her own self-doubt, she heard a shout up to her from the Pitch. It was Pericles. Pericles Dralt.

"If you Keep half as well as you sing, we'll be in good shape."

Rose couldn't help but smile a little. She appreciated his words, and nodded at him. Rose was grateful for Pericles. He was definitely kind and encouraging. A person that anyone would want as a friend, or even as a cheerleader. Come on! She could do this. She was good enough. She would be good enough. Now, onto the next round. She saw a girl, who she didn't know her name. She looked like a first year, but she caught the Quaffle, and managed to score it in the opposite rings. "Yes!" Rose murmured. Twenty to ten. They were catching up. Neither of the seekers had seemed to find the snitch yet.

Another first year, one she had seen here and there in Gryffindor Tower. She was on the opposite team this time, and she sped towards Rose. Rose gripped the broom with her left hand, and loosened her grip on her right. As the ball came towards the goal, Rose was about to save it, but it wasn't really necessary. The girl fumbled with the ball, not throwing it towards the hoop. Well, at least she hadn't ruined anything or something like that this time around.

Henry shouted up towards her, telling her that her defending was brilliant. What defending? She hadn't even done anything, the first year had just missed. Maybe he hadn't been paying full attention to the game. After all, he raced over to the side of the Pitch and stopped to chat with Cash and then yell at the teams. Maybe he should just focus on the game, as he hadn't really contributed anything either. She decided that his words were just for encouragement, too, and centered her mind back on the game again.

It really felt like playing now. While she has always been the one looking for the match, being the one to play it felt really strange... and amazingly exciting! She can't stop smiling, and it even felt too much. The wind blowing over her face was making her teeth cold as they all appeared under her lips.

Excited but concentrated on the game, she barely looked around her to see the spectators (few she imagine), her teammates or her opponents. Until the strategy changed and she was then focused on her teammates. She was supposed to safe guard, looking at her teammates successively. She may look like a crazy one, rotating her head like this while flying a little under the other teammates, following the movements of the game as a leaf would follow the wind while falling off its tree. She felt lightweight — because of her happinness but also her thin body — but didn't allow herself to be distracted: she kept looking at her teammates from every angle to safe guard as well as possible.

It would be very bad for her to miss someone falling. She imagined, for a second, how Gryffindor's Quidditch player would react if she did so, the day in which she'll apply for her house's team. She had a strange feeling in her stomach, that her will of doing things right made disappeared.

Ana laughed slightly at @Ami Procoppio's commentary. She had absolutely no idea what half the things the Hufflepuff said meant, but that was generally to be expected with her. Ana hadn't the faintest idea what a "Ken doll" was, nor what putting an F in a chat meant or had to do with anything.

Nothing too startling seemed to have happened yet. Each team had scored a few points, but nothing insurmountable from either. The other team's Seeker (@Aurora Ranvier) was screaming at the Snitch in a manner that Ana found vaguely concerning. She did know that the Snitch wasn't in fact sentient, didn't she? It used to be some small bird instead of a ball, so perhaps a few centuries ago, her methods would have been more successful (although Ana seriously doubted it), but currently, the only thing the Seeker was achieving was tiring out her vocal cords.

A boy Ana vaguely recognized (@Henry Knight) was also shouting about chocolate and Ana rolled her eyes. She wasn't entirely clear as to what chocolate had to do with anything.

Being benched was slowly but surely driving Ana insane. She had been a spectator at games and a participant in others, but she hadn't ever been benched before. Not being able to assist her teammates in any meaningful way was really the issue. As a spectator, she didn't ever feel as though she ought to be doing more. As a player, she usually would do her best to get her team to victory. Sitting and watching and not being able to do anything yet was definitely not what Ana was designed for.

Long story short, I survived

The commentary made Gia giggle, even as she searched the sky for the snitch. Ken doll? Laughing to herself as she flew above the other players, the first year risked a quick glance down to see who was commentating. A girl she hadn't met before, most definitely an older student, and probably one of the two girls that had set this whole scrimmage up. What had their names been, again? Gia didn't remember - oh well. There were more important things to focus on at the moment, obviously.

When the actual score so far was announced - 20 for the other team, Pitch Please, and zero for their team, Team Hollythorn - Gia frowned. Yes, it was literally still like the first five minutes of the game, but... she really, really couldn't stand being far behind the other team. Which, again, they weren't, but still. Maybe I should have signed up for Chaser instead, Gia thought to herself with a sly smile. Then I could be the one able to score... Playing the seeker position was less exciting for the majority of the game, up until the point when the snitch was actually spotted. Then, it was basically a desperate race to catch up with it and grab it out of the air.

Speaking of the boring part... Gia turned her attention back to searching. The other seeker, a Ravenclaw, was still screeching about chocolate, for whatever reason, and yet another laugh escaped Gia's lips. Hearing the quidditch captain that was posing as the commentator for this match's voice get louder and louder and finally end in a big "Carrington scores against Holling! 10 for Hollythorn!" the Gryffindor grinned. "Yes!" she cheered excitedly.

A little while later, another announcement told Gia that Violet had gotten possession of the quaffle again, and had shot... but it was saved by the other team's keeper. Too bad, the first year thought. Her eyes continued to scan the pitch.

Everly was determined, and a determined Everly is an unstoppable force.

Most of the time, anyways.

As the Quaffle went up, up, up again, Everly launched herself towards the red ball, but Violet managed to snatch it first. Cursing under her breath, she leaned forward, trying to race partly to see what was going on and partly as an attempt to snatch it back. Unfortunately, Violet managed to score, but hey, they were still in the lead by one Quaffle score. Better than nothing, hopefully.

Round two seemed to favor her more, as she pushed herself even further this time, and managed to snatch it before the others. But as Everly went to score, she felt a weird sort of sense, like something was watching her. Feeling uncertain and wobbly, Everly tried to focus on scoring, only to realize she had dropped the ball.

Dang it.

At Bridget's call of encouragement, Everly flashed a smile, grateful for motivation, while at the same time still ashamed of herself. But she couldn't dwell too long on that one moment; there were millions of others left to go.

At Cassandra's shout, however, Everly felt none too inclined to smile. Everly wanted desperately to shout back and scream some insult, but she took a calming breath. One last try - this one definitely must be it.

The third round, however, didn't seem to pay much attention to Everly's plead. At first, everything went quite well, and Everly had flown out first, reaching out to grab the Quaffle, when suddenly, Violet came out of no where. After a slight struggle, Violet managed to pry the Quaffle out of Everly's hands, and Everly could not be more frustrated at that. Thankfully, though, this time she didn't manage to score. Perhaps luck was one-time only.

"Come on, Carrington, just please let me get it once," Everly growled underneath her breath, provoked.

But she mustn't let it get to her head. That was the motto for this round, and Everly was determined.

The commentary ringing out into the brisk morning was amusing to most, but more or less baffling in particular for the pure-blood Pericles. Ken doll? F in the chat? A what in the what? "What?" the pseudo Chaser squawked, swiping sweat from his brow with the back of his hand, though there was no time to decipher what silly old Ami was on about. He had slowly fallen back from formation, inconspicuously dropping out to survey the team from below, sneaking onto save duty should the need arrive. He tensed in preparation as a bludger barreled straight towards Kage, ready to dart her way, only to smile in satisfaction as she swerved from its path. With no lack of excitement, though one couldn't tell to look at his calm if attentive exterior, he watched while Violet obtained the quaffle and fought her way towards the enemy hoops. The smile split into a small grin. Pericles had held his breath when Everly was headed straight towards Rose (and their goals), only to expel it with a sigh once the ball was dropped. There went Violet once more, closing in for a second score, leaving the boy tutting in disappointment when it was blocked. Still, he absolutely had to commend her for pulling the extra weight while he was on save and... wait, where was Henry?

Henry, for reasons unknown, had abandoned Violet entirely to go heckle the other team's benched player, stealing her blanket and then hollering about how he would buy chocolates if they won. There'd be no winning if they were short a player. With an uncertain hum, Pericles cupped his mouth and called towards the two, "Henry? Is something wrong?" It was the politest way with which he could imply the Slytherin ought to be back in the game. With Violet busy trying to make goals and Henry off fraternizing, he supposed he would have to conjure a bit of improvised compensation. Shielding his eyes, Peri squinted upwards to see if Gia had spotted the snitch, though she seemed to still be on the hunt. Thakfully, Aurora didn't appear to have spotted it either, though it was only a matter of time....

Nicholas's eyes scanned the horizon, hunting down one of the bludgers. As if by divine providence, the hurtling ball of iron and malice entered his vision, and the boy couldn't help but grin. The sadistic smile upon his face more akin to that of beast than man. The first year flew towards it, his goal singular, he'd missed the seeker earlier. He had to make up for that failure, he had to make sure that he at least nailed her this time. She was a threat, with the ability to end the game in the other team's favour at a moment's notice. Taking her out was purely a defensive play, even if it seemed offensive, at least that was what he told himself.

He was falling into his groove now, and he all but flew into the bludger, slamming it toward the girl with a measured backbeat. It was weaker than his previous hit, but he was far more confident with its accuracy. Naturally, such confidence was misplaced. One of their beaters, the other one, the blonde girl, intercepted the bludger, drawing it away and dodging it with natural accuracy. To add insult to injury, she also managed to avoid the bludger that Suzuki had sent hurtling towards her.

"Hech!" He couldn't help but exclaim, the words leaping from his throat as if unchained.

Fortunately, the chasers were doing a much better job. The Slytherin, Violet, not only breaking away with the quaffle twice, but scoring once. Regardless of his team's overall success, the first year beater was sour. Two failures in a row was hardly the kind of record he'd been hoping to achieve when he'd taken to the pitch.

The rest of the pitch was but noise to the boy as he focused, he was vaguely aware of Henry having a conversation with the second-string player on Pitch Please, and of the hollering and banter that was filling the field. Part of Nicholas wanted to join in with the revelry, but a deeper, more primal part wanted to succeed. So it was that his lazier demeanour began to fade, and the boy's more natural predisposition came to the surface. Win at any cost. He smirked.
