Flying on a broomstick was a really nice feeling. Feeling the wind rubbing on his body... But James didn't have time to dwell on the feeling of flying, he had to defend the goals. At the beginning, it was not too much for him to defend the hoops but rather to the opposing keeper because Emma flew vote towards him after having managed to take the quaffle. The first year carefully followed the breath, almost forgetting the bludgers. The time to take a look at the crazy balls, which a joy contaminated the ground. Emma had scored! James couldn't help shaking his point, hooked securely to his broom, so he wouldn't fall.
Hop! Quaffle put back in play. This time, it was not one of the three chasers from the green team who had taken the quaffle but a Ravenclaw from the other team. And not only had he managed to take the red ball, but he was heading straight for James. Everything was jostling in the latter's head: stupid or less stupid questions, different scenarios explaining the scene... Lacking to fall from his broom, James rose a little more in the hours to find himself in the middle of the three goals and try to defend any goal. What worked. James had blocked the ball. He tried to remember how he had done it but instead it was an intense relief that washed over the boy.
The young Slytherin had barely finished recovering from his emotions when the quaffle was already crossing one of the opponent's rings. He shook his fist pleased with the goal scored by a seeker he hadn't even seen.
Looking at them for the first time, James saw that the Seekers hadn't found anything yet, maybe for the next round... In the meantime, we had to concentrate on the Quaffle because it was in motion again.

Pericles had entered the field with a well-hidden case of the jitters. This was less to do with nerves than it was excitement, but to say he had no worries whatsoever would have strained credulity beyond belief. On hearing the opposing team's name, one might spy him mouthing mutely to himself "Pitch Please... Pitch Please...?" He did not get it. At least he had a stronger grasp of Quidditch than he did puns.Mentioning all of Team Hollythorn, Emma, James, Opeila, and Aurora
Duelling had nurtured a healthy sense of competition in the young eagle. Yet he would quickly come to find duelling was less complex than this; it was easier to weigh the odds when it was two versus two. Quidditch comprised of so many moving pieces, so many potential tactics and variables, preparations had left his head spinning. Watching the ball soar up into the air was like flicking a switch. Peri submitted to the bolt of adrenaline surging through him, allowing instinct and reflex to mingle with strategy and insight. This broom was far clunkier than his Silver Arrow, the handling of which did well to compensate for his relative inexperience, but he could handle it. They darted for the ball as a unit, though try as they may, a keen first-year named Emma held it fast and made her first goal for Pitch Please. All the more determined, it was Pericles' turn to catch the quaffle and make a mad dash for the opposite hoops. He could hear the wind howling in his ears like a frenzied beast, felt it sting his cheeks, only retaining his clear view of the target thanks to the goggles he wore. Flanked by Violet and Henry in a Hawkshead formation, he could finally say he understood why many had foregone duelling to take up Quidditch. He wouldn't be one of them of course, but he would have to keep his ear to the ground to know when they were playing another round of scrimmage.
Just as the Hollythorn chaser trio nearly reached the hoops, Peri turned and halted, using momentum to propel the quaffle forward. It soared with promise... but was blocked by James. Regrettable. He wished he'd had more time to absorb Anastasia's wisdom on gameplay. Next Opeila managed to not only snag it, but also score. While he wasn't any kind of Quidditch aficionado, Pericles would play on his strengths, namely the fact that he enjoyed encouraging others. "Steady, Rose!" he urged, calling up to the Keeper. "If you Keep half as well as you sing, we'll be in good shape." Then, gliding by the victorious Chaser, the Ravenclaw called with a quiet drawl of amusement Well played, cousin." If he happened to catch the eye of either beater, Peri would give Kage and Nicholas heartening nods. Their position required them to work extra hard, and... was someone hollering about chocolate?

Right after Emma took off the ground, she took her Chaser position, waiting for the game to start. She was kindly looking all around her, giving a glance at each unknown face from her team. Several girls and all looked nice. Emma was slightly smiling, imagining herself and the Pitch Please team making a team together and defeating the school houses. But she was playing, flying on her broom, up to the Quidditch Pitch, holding the stick: this was all she needed to feel happy.
Once the game started, she went for the Quaffle. The speed of her broom made the wind blow in her ears. She still smiled as this feels like the best sensation she experienced. Remembering that, one year ago, she ignored everything about the magic world: it feels amazing to be on that broom. Quickly, she was at ease.
So ease so that she scored! Scoring during that scrimmage was like proving herself - and maybe some Gryffindor Quidditch players - that she has the mean to be part of her house’s official team. The smile she still and always wears just became bigger as her team seemed to applause her performance. Though, she stayed focus on the game still playing on. Emma did her best for her teammates to be proud of having her in her team, and will continue to until the end of the match.

The third year smiled slightly at @Gia Adelard when the younger girl greeted her. Ana didn't like many people (she was working on that, but still), but Gia was one of the few she did. "Lovely to see you, Gia," she replied. If Ana remembered correctly, Gia had just recently been admitted to the official Gryffindor team, so Ana was excited to have a chance to watch her play.
The game started, and Ana watched intently. Pericles managed to get the Quaffle once, but his attempt at scoring was thwarted by the other team's keeper. What name had they chosen? Pitch Please, or something like that. It was amusing, to be sure if a bit juvenile. Still, since there wasn't the Quidditch cup as a goal and it was early in the game anyways, Ana wasn't too disheartened by the score. That could easily be reversed in the next round. Hollythorn could even pull ahead. Who knew with Quidditch?
While Ana wasn't too bothered by the team's overall score, she was irritated at Rose's failure. After all, how difficult was it to obtain the Quaffle in a scrimage? Honestly... Perhaps Ana's opinions were more related to her dislike of Rose than her actual playing abilities, but Ana wouldn't admit that.
Neither of the seekers seemed to have spotted the snitch yet, which was to be expected at this point in the game. "Let's go, Hollythorn!" Ana called, hoping her cheers would help since she couldn't do so in the air just yet.

Gia waved back to Anastasia and nodded, smiling. "Nice to see you too!" she said happily, launching into the air and beginning to search for the snitch as soon as the game started.
It was kind of hard to pay attention to what was happening below her while searching relentlessly for the snitch, Gia thought to herself as she scanned the quidditch pitch once more for the small golden ball that was so good at hiding from view. Deciding to only look down when she heard the volume rise below her, she continued to fly around, keeping her gaze sharp and never letting it stay on one particular spot for long.
Hearing a commotion down below, the Gryffindor's eyes darted downward. Seeing the other team's faces, and looking at the expressions of those on her own team, it didn't take too long to guess what had happened. Seconds later, though, she saw Pericles dart forward and grab the quaffle. His attempt at scoring missed, and, frowning, Gia concentrated even harder.
The next time she heard loud noises from below, the first year's gaze didn't even dip one bit. Determined, she swooped around the pitch as she searched for the snitch with all her might, not letting anything - anything - distract her. Giving one quick glance to the other team's seeker, she pushed her broom harder, searching, searching, searching.

MODERATIONOnce Cecily had tossed the Quaffle up into the air, Ami quickly cleared her throat and aimed her wand towards her throat. "Sonorus," she muttered, and when she cleared her throat once more, the sound echoed across the pitch. "Let's get this started, shall we?" she called out as the Chasers darted towards the Quaffle. They were surprisingly good athletes, considering that most of them were probably quite new to the sport, and some of them got the quaffle right off the bat. "Murray's in possession, down the field, and scores! 10 for Pitch Please! And... is that Dralt? Peri, you Ken doll, good on ya for playing Quidditc- oh, Holling blocks. F in the chat for Pericles. Winters gets it, and... scores! 20 for Pitch Please!"
Pausing for a moment, she updated the little score-keeping machine, before calling out to her fellow captain below, "How's the weather down there, Cecily?" Chuckling to herself, Ami watched as both of the Hollythorn Beaters sent bludgers towards Bridget Collins, a third year that she barely knew. The Slytherin nimbly dodged both bludgers, and Ami nodded in approval. "Failed assassination attempts from both er... McCowan and Suzuki. Better luck next time."CHASERS

On the other hand, the other four chasers didn't really seem to be having the best of luck grabbing the Quaffle. Bumbling towards the red ball, nearly crashing into each other, Slytherins Henry and Opeila would not get their hands on the Quaffle this time around at all, struggling to balance the tasks of staying astride their brooms with getting to the Quaffle. However, Violet was able to fare slightly better, shaking off Aurora's intense presence to score once for team Hollythorn. "Oh, oh, oh... Carrington scores against Holling! 10 for Hollythorn!" For team Pitch Please, Everly was able to break away with the Quaffle- "Charlton's got possession, now..." -but fumbled it as she attempted to make her way towards the hoops to score. "Nevermind, butterfingers happens to the best of us." Finally, Violet would get the Quaffle one last time, but James was able to prevent it from tumbling through the golden hoops. Unfortunately for him, the Pitch Please Seeker was being defended by Starlee, who flew in front of the Seeker to defend her from any harm. The other Hollythorn Beater, Kage, seemed to realize that their team needed to get rid of Aurora's pesky bodyguards, and sent another bludger towards the Slytherin. Again, Starlee was able to nimbly dodge the bludger. The final course of action in these few minutes would be taken by Bridget, who was arguably good enough to be on the actual Slytherin Quidditch team. Why she decided to go with the inferior sport, Duelling, would forever remain a mystery to Ami. The Slytherin third year would send a bludger flying towards Kage, full of that sweet, sweet kinetic energy, but the bludger would sail past the younger Gryffindor, leaving her unharmed.SEEKERSFinding DC is 22. Yet again, a bludger came to her way. It was a good thing that she was all prepared with the safeword thing. As she screamed Chocolate, Kennedy came to her rescue. Or maybe it was her turn to protect the seeker, so it might have nothing to do with the safeword.
The pitch please should win. Especially after someone, maybe it was Ironwoods (hopefully it was her, because if it were someone else from the hollythorn team, that would be embarrassing), promise to treat the whole team with chocolate. Aurora replied back in excitement, “HELL YES, PITCH PLEASE NEEDS CHOCOLATE!”
Second round, still cannot find the snitch. The opposing seeker seemed to be struggling as well. Weird. Being a seeker was not fun, who invented this game anyway? Asking someone to find a small flying thing in a big pitch, for all she knew, the snitch could be in the forbidden forest as they play. Was there any snitch at all? Or they just lied to her all this time when the reality was those quidditch captains who started the scrimmage put the snitch inside their pockets. That must be why. Or maybe Aurora does need glasses. She should check her eyesight during the holiday later on.
Aurora was mad, she was fuming. A person with a sixth sense probably could see the seeker was literally on fire while she flew on the broom. But, fire in Hogwarts? Nothing new, right? This was why God created two middle fingers on each hand, to put it up high above the cloud while finding the snitch. Of course, she would not do that. There was a professor in sight, that would lead her straight to detention.
The pitch please still had 10 points more than the hollythorn, so that was good. She believed that everyone in her team would do just fine defeating the opposing team. She should be more focused on finding the snitch and win the game, the faster it is, the sooner she will get treated with chocolate.
“MY PRESENCE IS NOT THAT TERRIBLE DEAR SNITCHY SNITCHY! SO MOVE YOUR GOLDEN ARSE STRAIGHT TO MY HAND!”
That did not sound right. Someone should duct tape her mouth before the match. Clearly, her personality changed when she was in a competitive environment

They were pretty easy to crack- no doubt 'chocolate' meant 'HELP ME I'M GONNA DIE'. Maybe not die, but something pretty close. Getting whacked with a bludger moving at high speeds wasn't great.
She just managed to send a bludger flying in the opposing beater's direction when the girl dodged it. Suzuki's team had managed to score 10 points, but they were still on the losing team. She watched as the Chasers flew around the pitch, one with the Quaffle in their hands.
Out of the corner of her eye (thank god she'd been paying attention), she watched as the opposing beater whacked a bludger in her direction. Swinging precariously to the side, Suzuki managed to dodge it, watching as the bludger flew away and nearly out of sight.
Tapping a finger on the handle of her broom, Suzuki squinted, watched, waited, and hoped. Although they were behind by 10 points, victory was still possible. It was only 10 points, anyways.

@James Holling @Everly CharltonWhen the Quaffle shot back in the air, Violet zoomed to it, trying to catch it. Aurora wasn't exacly helpful, there was something from her that made Vi feel slightly off when she yelled in particular. However, she wasn't going to pay attention to that Ravenclaw first year, her goal was the Quaffle. She zoomed to it, and grabbed it to afterwards go straight to the hoops where the Pitch Please Keeper was. Without a second thought, she scored into one of the tall hoops. She was surprised that she had actually scored. A slight smile appeared on her face as she backed out to let James throw the Quaffle to the pitch once more.
When the Quaffle took off again, so did the rest of the Chasers including Violet, thought she didn't get it this time. Everly got it, flying towards Rose once again. Violet didn't want for Pitch Please to score again, so she tried flying towards Everly to get the Quaffle once again. It was a pretty easy task, since the Quaffle had slipped out of Everly's hands, so Vi snatched it out in mid-air and headed towards James once more.
She was pretty confident now. Her motivation had gone up after scoring once for her team. She focused on scoring through one of the hoops, however it seemed like James was already prepared for what Violet would do, and saved. Angrily, Violet turned around as she glared at James furiously.Action: As strategizedStamina: 6 Evasion: 8 Strength: 1 Wisdom: 10 Arcane: 2 Accuracy: 8

The Outfit

After a rather uneventful first round, Starlee went from being on the defensive to... being on the defensive again. However, this time she had trouble incoming, unlike her leisurely fly-by around the bottom of the field. She positioned herself in front of Aurora, hoping to protect her just as Bridget had done so well before. She was quite concerned, seeing as these were iron balls possibly hurtling toward her, but she was sure they wouldn't try their same tactics again.
And on that, she was quite wrong. Well, only wrong because while one was clearly gunning for Aurora, the other seemed to be taking aim at Starlee the whole time, but it was still two bludgers that were now rattling toward her. She did not feel anywhere close to comfortable as she tightened her grip on the broom handle, bracing for possible impact, as well as in preparation to dodge. She watched as one got closer, closer, and whooooosh, Starlee dodged nimbly aside. The second one was coming though, and fast, but she managed to dodge the second one as well. She sighed, happy that she was still safely on the broom. She wondered how Cash managed to do this, although the beater was a lot stronger than Starlee was, so perhaps they could hang on better.
The score on their end remained unchanged, although it seemed the Hollythorn's had managed to get one past their own keeper. Aurora still seemed to have no clue where the snitch could possibly be, and so the match continued.
