Whether or not he'd gotten Zykeal's attention, the need for damage control was over, thanks almost entirely to Nico's intervention. Not for the first time today, and most definitely not for the last, Adam breathed a sigh of relief. While the prefect finished defusing the group, the blond boy turned his attention back to the students in front of his table. He gave them another apologetic smile for good measure and nodded his head towards the scene behind them as a sort of explanation. "Sorry. Looks like everything's under control back there now. How about I get you what you asked for, huh?"
Adam picked his wand up, and with two flourishes and a pair of incantations, conjured the flowers that Kazuo and Amethyst had requested. Amethyst's were — at the very least — pink. He passed her the bouquet and picked up Kazuo's, holding them under his nose for a brief second before handing them over. He couldn't tell if these were exactly the sakura blossoms that the Hufflepuff boy wanted, but Adam had tried his best. And regardless of their type, he thought they were very nice-looking. "I hope that's right, or close enough! Thanks for coming by, you two!"
Seemingly finished with giving warnings, Nico paused by the flower stand and said a few words to Adam. He was grateful for her compliments, and he agreed with her latter sentiment: the school had seemed rather gloomy for a while. There were too many disasters, not enough...non-disasters. Hogwarts still had its good days, of course, but it had undoubtedly changed since Adam's first year. He replied with a nod and a small smile. "I'm glad you like it. And hey," he offered, muttering the magic word under his breath and plucking a bunch of flowers from where they appeared at the end of his wand, "I've got some for you too if you'd like them. For helping me out and everything. I don't know how nice they'll look in the dungeons, though." He laughed a little to let her know he was just joking about the dungeons. He was sure they were well-kept.
How long had it been since Adam had set up in this spot? It felt like only minutes, but already the light that slipped in through the castle's front doors was starting to change. It would be dinner time before long, and he wanted to get out of here before students started flocking to the Great Hall to eat. He wasn't sure he'd be able to keep up with too many requests at a time, much less any more trouble that might pop up if he stayed too long. He left the flowers that he'd made for Nico on the table for her to take or to leave, stepped around it, and cupped his hands to make an announcement.
"Last call for anyone that wants some flowers!" Adam proclaimed. "Last call!"

The boy was completely lost in gauging the peers in front of him for quite some time, analyzing whom he might consider a threat; none really it the description. Someone seemed to have spoken to him, Adam, he presumed, but he could barely register it as that longing for competitive spellcasting rose up within him for a moment. It wasn't until Nico spoke up that his attention was shifted away from the other students, pulling those golden hues over to meet the older girl's vision. A small huff of disappointment was given to her words and the second-year couldn't help but let his shoulders rise and fall for a moment.
After a moment, he'd stop twisting that wand of his throughout his fingers and his hand would drop to his side, still holding it at least ready in case one of these uppity first-years decided to mouth off again. For a moment, his eyes appraised Nico and decided that it wasn't worth ruining Adams time here, as it was, he assumed, not the time for those specific actions, "Ya'? Welp, just havin' a bit've fun," and he offered a playful smile over towards the older girl before he overheard Adams voice once more. Something in the back of his mind had told him that he had missed something that Adam had said to him and he couldn't help feel a tinge of regret when he couldn't recall.
Instead of sticking around the group huddled together, away from Adam, he'd shifted himself away from them and headed over towards the 4th-year boy, "Sorry about that, can't help myself sometimes," he offered, a sheepish grin accompanying his words after a moment. Looking at the arrangement of flowers that the boy had produced for the student body, he'd let his grin pull into a full smile and nodded his approval of the display; despite some of the mess, "Good work though mate, seems bang on," he noted, trying to at least let Adam know that he didn't want to bring any more hostility towards his display and hoping to at least not get on the older boys bad side for now.
At that time, he decided to step to the side of the assortment of flowers and peer over them, having no clue which ones were beautiful to people and which were not. Zykeals specific craft wasn't necessarily tuned towards this area of botany, his area was mainly around trees and the woods required to craft wands. There was knowledge in knowing these flowers though, he thought and could appreciate anyone who could pick out a display of beautiful flowers and arrange them as nicely as they currently were. Zykeal watched as Adam had then flourished his wand and produced flowers with a little whisper of an incantation, this amused the Gryffindor, possibly pointless a little jab to the back of his mind told him, but, amusing nonetheless.

The disruption had continued, drawing Adam into the mess as a mediator of sorts, trying to calm everyone down. Kazuo waited patiently for the idiots to disperse yet it seemed that would only happen once a Prefect got involved. He watched as Nico came up and very clearly warned off the girl who had drawn her wand. Yet despite Nico’s clear authority and warnings the others continued to escalate things. His lips pressed into a thin line but he held his tongue. As much as he wanted to speak out, listening to Henry and Cash continue their bullying, he knew that more voices were completely unnecessary and would only turn the awkward situation into an even bigger mess.
It really culminated in absolute stupidity when a Gryffindor he recognized from a certain infamous duel waltzed up to the group. Kazuo’s eyes narrowed and disgust soured his expression as he listened to Zykeal adding further threats of magic on the group. He rolled his eyes at the blustering idiot of a lion.
Thankfully, the girl who had been the unfortunate center of the entire mess retreated before things could escalate and Adam returned his attention to making flowers for those who had requested them. Kazuo watched as Nico apologized to Adam for getting involved and that drew a soft chuckle from his throat. A Prefect who apologizes for doing her job. He couldn’t help but to be amused at Nico’s appearance of modesty.
He refocused on Adam as the fourth year finally was able to return to the task of flower-making, giving him a grateful smile and a slight bow as he took the bouquet. “They are lovely, thank you.” He replied. Flowers acquired, he had no reason to stay and at least one reason to leave. He gave Nico a slight smile and a nod of his head in acknowledgement of her assistance, shot a calculating look at Zykeal, then turned and disappeared into the crowd.

Adam's stomach began to growl not too long after Zykeal and Kazuo left the table. Luckily, there weren't many others around to hear it. This told him two things.
One: it was almost dinner time. Two: it was time to close up shop.
Adam stood and walked around to the front of the table, glancing over the last of his inventory. In his short business hours, everyone had gotten what they'd requested; that had been his number one goal, after all. But there were still a few leftover bouquets on the table, products of Adam's attempts to practice the spell between exchanges with his schoolmates. The boy ran his fingers delicately over the petals of those flowers that remained, assessing his creations. The flowers on this one were a nice shade of blue, and the petals were large and round — it might look good in the Ravenclaw common room. That one had white and yellow flowers that were so bright they were nearly fluorescent — Adam put it to the side to show to Cecily later, thinking she'd find it funny. One of the bouquets was brown, an incredibly ugly brown, and one of them had petals that crumpled like paper when you touched them. Those two would be better off unseen, and Adam reminded himself to stop by the grounds and bury them before dinner. Or maybe just throw them into the Great Lake.
He set all the flowers down on the floor nearby and took to removing his banner from the front of the table, folding it up until all you could see was the EAS of "Easter". Then the banner joined the flowers in a strange-looking heap while he began to move the table. With a swish, a flick, and a muttered command ("Wingardium Leviosa!"), the table wobbled into the air and Adam guided it over the floor towards the Small Hall, where it had come from. He could feel sweat sliding down his back and brow. Levitating something of this size was a lot harder than floating a feather. He'd have to remember that.
It took one more trip to bring his chair back to the Small Hall as well, but luckily, that could just be carried. Finally, he returned to his spot and tucked the banner under one arm, gathering up his leftover bouquets in the other. His wand disappeared to a pocket somewhere in his robes. Adam faced the doors of the Great Hall and his stomach growled again, insisting that he hurry up and get to dinner already.
His stomach would have to wait a little while longer. Adam took a moment to look around the entrance hall, admiring the paintings on the walls as they gossiped and moved from frame to frame. He felt a cool breeze rustle his robes as students moved in and out of the castle's large front doors. The smell of fresh flowers rose from his leftover bouquets. It all made Adam feel rather at peace. He loved springtime for that very reason. Hopefully, he'd been able to make some other students feel at peace today too.
The boy smiled and turned to the front doors after a few seconds more. He had lots to do before he could sit down and eat. He'd stop by the lake to dispose of his reject bouquets, then the common room to put down the nicer ones and hopefully find Cecily so they could walk down to dinner together. He wanted to tell her all about this afternoon. Whether or not she wanted to hear about it — well, that had rarely stopped him before.
Adam passed through the front doors, leaving the entrance hall as if no flower stand had ever been there. And, hopefully, leaving it a bit happier than it had been before.
