Rory Weaver | First Year | Ravenclaw

Rory has slightly curly rich red hair, pale freckled skin, and curious blue-grayish-green eyes that peek out from the curtain of hair falling over his face. Despite being 11-years-old, he gives the impression of a disheveled but distinctly neat 8-year-old, with the height of 4’0/121.29cm’s and sporting a roundish face with perky cheeks.
Despite being as pale as a sheet, he does seem to hold a little bit of color on his cheeks, shoulders and back, gifted from long days in the sun.
However, despite practically living in his backyard he carries little muscle on his bones, due to his Father’s low metabolism.
Additionally, he has a small, faded scar below his left eye and another one just above his left shoulder blade.

He is a naturally curious young teen with well-developed observation skills and the mentality of a young adult.
But despite being more mature then most, he is emotionally fragile and clings to familiarity far too dependently.
He had always have had social problems and having trouble understanding his peers, yet he is supportive, or at least he tries to be.
Due to having a strong curiosity and a vivid imagination, he tends to not pay attention to his surroundings or classes, which gives him more trouble than good.
But nevertheless, due to being raised by an old-fashioned pair of Grandparents he is well mannered.

He was born on the 6th of October, in the year of 2006 in a dusty muggle clinic just outside the city of Glasgow to a young couple named Hazel Weaver and Danny Weaver.
Two weeks after his birth, he was taken home to their small flat in a wizarding community just inside of Aberdeen.
However, when Rory was nearing the end of his third birthday, his parents broke into a dispute over their jobs, which required that they’d move constantly. . . And separately.
Neither partner wanted to give up their dreams and ambitions, and the both of them did not want to throw it all away for their 3-year-old son.

So, Grandmother Lepus and Grandfather Lewis agreed to take the little toddler into their care, however reluctantly.
After that ordeal, Rory lived out a happy, quiet life with his grandparents in the suburbs in muggle Aberdeen, where he lived out his childhood in the backyard with their golden Labrador, Yellowbeard and in his room where he his imagination was allowed to run wild, with his parents visiting him every other week.
But when the day came for him to finally go to school, he had an emotional outburst and ended up hidden in a closet, where he stayed until his Grandparents came to retrieve him.

After a few long weeks, Rory finally grew somewhat comfortable in the new environment and began to finally interact, however briefly, with his peers.

Then, two years later, a miracle happened while Lewis was playing hide-and-seek with a 7-year-old Rory. The poor child didn’t expect his Grandfather to suddenly jump out of the closet with a roar, and the child was so frightened that he had his first magical outburst, resulting in a beloved glass decoration exploding as the young boy screamed and cried.
Both Grandparents were overjoyed to learn that their son was a wizard, and they promptly informed his parents as soon as they were able to get over their excitement.

He did not have an interest for his newfound powers until he was nine, and became almost obsessed over mythical beasts, namely dragons.
When his letter to Hogwarts arrived, the whole family had a merry celebration, despite the boy’s growing dread when he learned what going to Hogwarts would entail. . .
